I think this could be fixed really easily if they just made the highest DOT tick first, that way you would always wanna aply conditions if you are in a cond dmg spec. It would also fix the issue with guardians stealing all the burning ticks from the condition dmg specced players.

Personally i don’t think having a little of everything is a very good idea. Play to your streanghts.
There’s are some cool builds that handle Jack of all trades ok, like the tougness heavy staff with minions build. But thats pretty much based on you being a tank/support for your minions.
If you wanna play Axe Focus i would sugest the 30-0-0-10-30 build. However don’t use the Axe nr1 skill, it’s terrible. Go into Death Shroud for your autoattack. Life Blast hits MUCH harder when your above 50% Life Force. When it comes to traits skills, chose triats that causes Vournabillity and skills that give you Life Force.

My issues started a couple of weeks before the patch. Pretty much the same day as WvW reseted and we changed match up.
Anyway, when i do Guesting these issues completly dissapeares. I’m playing at Piken Square, wich are considered a Medium population, the server i’ve beeing guesting have any vary of High, Very High and Medium, and no issues lag or anything.

The best option imo would be to add dedicated W.W.W servers and give people thats moastly in it for W.W.W a chance to transfer free. On those specific server you could have a seperat quing system were Squadrons/Groups will have priority in ques as WvW is pretty much for a larger group of people (Guilds) Players who’s only intreasted in doing their monthly or some single WvW from time to time would be better of on a PVE sever. And the people who’s in the game moastly for the WvW would have a better chance of getting in. It’s a win for everyone imo.

Don’t forget to mention the terrible lag you get when server is full aswell, with the lnflux of 100’s of new players that came to Piken a couple of weeks ago killed the game for me, being on a pretty lame connection and 100’s of people constanly quing makes the game unplayble for me. Game crashing every 10-20 min coz of server overflow ping. And with que times for 1-3 hours I can’t play on this server anymore.

Max Target Aoe, Zergs, and You

People complaining about organized groups doing massive AoE bomb bursts, calling em out as zergs and lemmings, how original. Pretty much all AoE damage skills are on a very long cooldown, use you evade roll and you mitigrate 90% of the burst damage. Proper groups will set this up by using roots, stuns, chills and cripples first to make sure you don’t get away from it. Also group stealths are being used to make the CC less predicteble and harder to dodge. Whats folowing is a massive burst of AoE, if this is set up right, yes it’s hard to counter. It takes alot of effort to cordinate this. So stop calling it mindless. People spend just as much time on their builds and gear as you, they practise for it, they make use of formations and movement. If you can’t deal with it. Run away.

My lag gets progressivly worse every day now. Couple of days ago it was only while in WvW or quing for it. Now it’s in empty PVE maps aswell.

Only exeption being while i’m doing perosnal story line.

And unfortinally key changes aply to all your other toons aswell. If you change your Defualt F1 skill to R, then you change toon and want your F2 skill to be R you need to redo keybinds again. It’s pretty klunky tbh, especially since some classes use 4 proffesion mechanic buttons and some only use 1.

Shouldn't prioritize new content.

I just think you should do a full patch dedicated to the following.

Class ballance, there is a reason why you see more of some classes then others, least played classes arn’t bad, it’s just that there are overpowered ones.

Sorting out why 1000’s of people experience massive server lag, when 90% of em claiming it has nothing to do with their ISP. Pretty much everyone who’s currently have this issue. all stating the same dates when the problems started.

Event bugs, Events are one of the moast important aspects of the game, and yet they bug out so easily, if you can’t get em to run stable you should do a event reset every day.

Tooltip clean ups, Abillties claimin to do one thing then does another, some abillties don’t even give any decent info at all or got names wrong.

This is just some of the things i feel is by far more important then adding content like Guesting into the game. The game is not even playble for some costumers. Let me Quote James Rolf aka AVGN here. “Whats the moast important aspect of a game? Being able to kittening play it”

Last week or so, same thing, moastly happening when i try to que up for wvw. Game runs close to perfect durning non prime time hours. My guess is that it got something to do with the pre Visitor (or WTH they are calling it) data.

Ok, so when i’m trying to get into WvW, as soon as que up, i get massive lag between client and connection. I can’t even do anything in PVE while waiting in que. Sometimes i get into the WvW world, can run around for a while, then Client looses connection. I log back in. and game works like normal, until i que up again. I’ve played other games with 100’s of players on the same server without any issues. Any sugestions?

1: All pets using melee attacks, should hit in a arc. Able to hit multple enemies within melee range.

2: All Ranger activated pet abillties should be instant and get priotiry. No cast times on the pets.

3: Traits, Id like to see a trait in Beastmastery wich: Keeps your old pet around for another 5 seconds when using pet swap in combat Ranger activated pet abillties only aplies to your new pet.

4: Spirits Unbound trait: Add “and persists until they are slain”

5: Two Handed training trait: Change to: “10% or 15%” 5% damage increase seems to be more fitting for a minor trait.

6: Spirits, Activated Effects shouldn’t take 5-10 sec to happen.

7: Guard shout, WTH is this. Add a desription to this skill. It does much more then what the tooltip says. It looks really terrible from your description but it’s actually not bad.

8: All traits that affects Greatsword attacks Should aply to Swords aswell. Would sugest to rename em.

9: Hilt Bash Greatsword attack, hits multiple enemies but only Dazes/Stuns your target. this intended?

10: Dagger skills, increase the range of Stalker Strike to 900. It should be Throwing Knifes imo.

11: Add a Blast Finsiher to any of the weapons. So many combo fields and Leap Attacks but not a single Blast Finsiher.

Should atleast add a toggle that would be passive at off and aggresive at on.
Passive = Minions just follow you around and will never attack.
Aggresive = Minions always attack any hostile targets within XX range.

Ok, if you would be able to hand out skillpoints as lvls, for alts, then there would be NO players in the lower lvl areas wich would make the experience really crappy for new players. It’s empty as it is in lowe/mid lvl areas. Imo they should add timed event chains on ALL maps with good rewards for lvl 80 characters so they could get more people on all maps to get a more sence of activity in the world.

If it’s just a dip in damage on all AoE skills Organized guilds will just just change their builds from static damage to might gain builds and AoE vournabillity debuffs for damage. I doubt we see less AoE dmg numbers. It will seperate organzied groups from pug zergs more wich i think is a good thing.

If they do more drastic reductions like limit the amount of players being hit by AoE’s to 3, increase cooldowns, reduce tha radius and nerf the damage on all skills rather then ones causing the issues, then WvWvW will be totally unplayeble for attackers. And they might aswell remove WvWvW from the game.

However i do agree with some of the points that they were making, NO AoE skills should be more effective then a ST skills that does the same thing. They should have longer CD’s and be ateast 25% less effective.

Doubt much will happen to Necros tbh. non of their AoE skills really hit harder then their ST ones. Putrid Mark got so long CD that it really can’t be nerfed. Life Transfer max out at at like 2500 dmg while Channeling Axe can hit for 4000 in the same build.
Epedemic doesn’t even do any dmg on it’s own.

If they really nerf the hell out of all AoE skills then WvWvW will be unplableyble. It will go from 15-20 man groups to 2 full warbands running together to compensate for the loss of damage. It will just make WvWvW a living nightmare were the zerg wins everything. They still do, but it’s manageble to take on greater numbers with AoE damage. This shouldn’t be a blanket nerf to all AoE abillties. they should focus on specific abillties and bring those with very high AoE dmg capabillity in line with the other AoE’s. I’ve seen what a blanket nerf to all AoE’s done to games in the past and it isn’t pretty.

If the damage goes down, the amount of players/enemies hit needs to go up. That being said Anet doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing

It will moast likley do the oposite. Seriusly, Meteor Shower as it is now is super OP. It’s a HUGE radial with a long range. Skills that does this amount of damage to so many people should be limited to PBAOE. skills.

I see solo Elementalist nuking down 12 lvl 84 mobs using 2 skills in about 5 seconds. Imagine how destructive this is in WvWvW when you have 5 Elementalist covering the same area. The areas should be smaller, for more dmg. Or be at melee range. Even at Melee range i feel the area might be to big.

Necros is one of the top healers in the game. Asuming your in full healing gear here are som numbers.

Well of Blood: 10sec location AoE heal that ticks for around 700/sec.

Mark of Blood: Bleeds for enemies in the area and Regen for allies in the area. Around 350/sec

Life Transfer with Trait, heals close allies for around 300 for each dmg tick

Leaving Death Shroud with Trait (wich you should be doing on every CD) Heals for around 700.

The idea of lightning your pets or up to 5 nearby ally on fire and cause burning dmg back to anyone attacking em with melee abillties is pretty cool.

It’s not that bad imo, i use spectrals and a spear under water. Propeller attack hits pretty hard and have a short CD. Also have a leap attack,. and a AoE pull. A ST pull with spectral. If you get loaded up with conditions enter death shroud and get rid of em. I can pretty much take on 4-5 enemies at the same time under water without it being much on a issue. Activate the locus swarm like abillity and propeller 4-5 mobs and life taps will pretty much bring you up to full hp.

In general i think moast people just focus on the wrong stats for Necros and that makes em to squishy for moast people to play em properly. Seriusly, add tougness and healing power, and your will se how much easier this class plays.

I dunno. I only use staff really. But i pretty much only use minions when i do stuff completly solo. I also opt out one minion slot for Blood is Power. I also jump in and out of Death Shroud on every CD for more heals.

I liked the reading, but i’m afraid your build for WvWvW is not very good anymore, you might kill some soloers or some really unorganized groups. But when facing organzided guilds, you run into alot more cond removal then your describing. Guardians remove 2 cond on every shout, warriors removing 1-2 cond on every shout. And that is for their allies aswell. Necro for now is a pure controll or healer class in WvWvW. You can do a burst dmg AoE spec. But there are classes that are so much better at that. There are a couple of stuffs that ANet needs to really adress when it comes to cond dmg, until it’s fixed. Necro is not a good AoE dmg class.

MM using focus

Use staff for MM bild. I know the damage of the staff is very limited but it’s the best way to keep your minions from dyying.

Giving regen to minions,, transfers conditions of the minions to enemies. Poison combo field with Putrid Mark blast finisher gives a long weakness debuff to enemies. Heals from well of blood, and traits for healing with syphoon and leaving death shroud. all help to keep your minions alive.

I fear to many skills would have to be readjusted for these changes. A class like Necro can dish out Blinds like mad. I understand that having 1 blind on a 20 something CD seems a bit weak. But when you combine it with blocks from a Guardans and a Necro thats perma blinding 2 areas. It really mitigrates kittenloads of damage.

When it comes to aegis tho, i think they should revamp this to a intensity stacking boon.

I totally dissagre with you, Necromancer being one of the strongest class in pvp and wvw. It’s also the hardest class in the game to kill you have to perma stun em to get em down.

All the specs i’ve come up with have been working very well.

Controll build: Built around Chill, Fear and Blind
Healing Build: Staffbuild with wells . And healing from death shroud.
Dps heal: Focused on doing damage while in Death Shroud and some healing.
Cond dmg: With Coruptions, scepter and dagger
Cond Burst AoE dmg: Staff conditions and burst crits from Death Shroud.

Issues with Regeneration, Burning and Poison.

Have you tested this? Regen/Burning/Poison all stack in duration. So if a Necro casts a 2s regen, and a Guardian casts a 2s regen, I just assume for 2s you get the Necro’s regen and the next regen you get the Guardian’s regen.

This is what I assume happens, but correct me if you’ve tested this and I’m wrong.

Yes, this is how it works, but thats not the issue, Burning and Regeneration have no secondary functions like Poison does. Wich means you would want the highest number on top att all times. And take guardians for example in their mechanic they will put a burn up every 4th attack. wich will prevent other who might be focused in cond damage to get their ticks of when they need to. This is not such a big issue in PVE as the fight tends to last pretty long against champions and bosses. It’s in WvW and Spvp this becomes moast of an issue as the fights usually dont last more then a couple of seconds. A low regen ticking when you need a high one can be critical to win a fight. It’s also quit anoying for classes like Engineers Necros and Mesmers who really exells in cond damage. The game will just benfit more from having highest ongoin dot or hot. get priority.

Imo it’s really big issue and i can’t really belive this been adressed yet.
Mesmers, Necros and Engineers are really hurting from this. Cond dmg and regen is a really big part of the game. And an easy way to solve it is to just give the the highest ongoin dot or hot priority.

The way these effects seem to stack is in order they are cast. Wich means If a damage heavy Guardian uses the shout that gives protection and regen before a healing heavy Necro casts his mark that grants regen to nearby allies., the guardians weak regen will have priority over the necros regen that might be twice as effective. I asume that Burning and Poison work the same way.

This should be changed so the highest ongoin hot or dot of those types should get priority, not in order they were cast.

This is not so much of an issue with bleeds as they stack in intensity. But i would sugest to do the same here.

The game just isn’t built to work with min max stats.. You need to ballance Survival/Damage/Support on pretty much every class and every spec. If you don’t you run into problems as there are counters to pretty much everything.

Do any combination of Cleric/Apoticary and Shaman, add Doyalak runes.
For more survivabillity swap out the upgrades in the trinkets. No need for a full def healing set imo.

WvWvW Tags

Ok, so when fighting 20-50 people, seing who of the enemies wich are actually down dead or alive can be really confusing. How about adding different colours to the Invader tags depending on that? A player who’s up can keep their red tag, a downed player a orange tag and personally i would like to see the name completly removed if they are defeated.
