That would be great! A raid is what GW2 really needs. Don’t get me wrong, I like FotM and sPvP and WvW (the Living story is just good enough to keep the game alive). But a hardcore PvE raid could really put GW2 back on the market!!! I hope devs are planning for this in a near future

I do appreciate your input but I feel that through my shouts and support build (trooper runes) am more needed in a group where rest are DPS while I boon them and remove their conditions. However, I do have CoF zerk armor and I will do a Fotm run just to see which one feels better. Thank you all.

Hello dear masters of the elements! I have been absent from GW2 for more then 3 months and I would like to get some advice. My current setup is full PVT AC armor with PVT ascended amulets and trinkets. I also ran D/D auramancer trait build. From other forum posts I see that eles have changed a lot so i ask you, dear active elementalists, should I change my stats to zerk, full CoF armor, and what should my trait setup look like?

It fits extremely well for ele (and a few other profs like engi and ranger if built for it), the thing is you don’t want to be using a build that is focused on something in celestial though.

You don’t want to be going for MOAR DAMAGEZ! Or Being a tank, or being a condi user. You want to try to use a bit of everything and take traits that fit that theme (Serrated Stones is a prime example of this). If you do this then Celestial gear will be very strong, however if you go with the mindset of most RPG players go which is total Min/Max then don’t even touch the stuff it’ll only hurt you.

If you’re like me and you like to play as a Hybrid and do a bit of everything, then the gear will work extremely well and surprisingly works better than the other gear. But keep in mind you’ll be a hybrid, so you will NEVER out damage a zerker geared player or out tank a bunker, but you will have a good amount of everything.

TLDR: If you want to be a specific role don’t touch Celestial, it’s for hybrids, if you want to be super tanky or deal a lot of damage (normally specific type of damage like condi or direct) go with another gear type.

Looking at the gear stats I was thinking the same thing but i find it kinda hard to make a build for a hybrid. Do you have any ideas and would you like to post your build?

First I’d like to thank ArenaNet for this great living world update, you did a great job! Second I’d like to hear your opinion on the Celestial gear and how well does it fit our profession. I have full AC PVT armor and I’m running D/D auramancer and couple of weeks ago I started farming CoF p1 in order to buy the power/pres/crit armor. Now the question: Is the new Celestial gear better then AC PVT and CoF P/P/C and what play style would best fit the new gear?

Hello, I’ve been playing GW2 since the betas and I’ve been in several guilds but the most recent one turned WvW only so I’m homeless again… If I could join a guild focused on PvE and tPvP that would be great. And if it’s possible I’d like that guild to be good ad guild missions Thank you!

From the head start i played ele and i still haven’t got bored with him. I tried other professions and i honestly find the elementalist to be most fun to play than any other profession. I do get bored sometimes with PvE but then i just hop to Heart of the Mists and every single tPvP game is a win. I find i sad to see so many eles in sPvP now, they just make an ele, jump in sPvP with no skill what so ever. I wish elementalists weren’t so mainstream now…

This is the build i use when going tpvp with my guildmates. Most of us stick together and i let others do the dmg while i try to stay alive and cc the enemy team as much as possible.

Hey, i dinged 80 soon after the release and i really enjoyed it. Exploring Tyria, leveling and personal story, now that’s what i like the most! So i was thinking it would be cool for us to replay our story line, with NO exp karma coins ect. I just want to playthrough it again because i forgot most of it And i want to hang out with Destiny’s Edge again
I would like to hear what you guys think, do you want to replay through your first choice?

Don’t waist your 10 points on Powerful Aura, save it when you go d/d auramancer because with d/d you can get 3 auras (fire, if you combine magnetic grasp trough a fire field; water with skill 4; air with skill 3). With s/d you cant make that many auras so i suggest you put those 10 points elsewhere

I tried to play auramancer (0/10/10/30/20) and i rly like it so i farmed AC for the power/vitality/toughness armor i i got it yesterday. I’ve heard a tip that i can put 2 superior runes of the monk, gaining +25 healing and +15 boon duration, and then i put 2 major runes of the monk, gaining +15 healing and +10 boon duration, and for the last 2 armor peaces i put superior dolyak, +25 toughness and +15 vitality.
Is this a good build? Do i also buy the 2 AC power/vitality/toughness daggers? What ascendant amulet do i buy (i need 7 more laurels) and what ring is the best (ascendant ring)?
I hope i will get some nice tips here

Anyways, i must ask you, why do you use Lightning Flash, Cleansing Fire and Mist Form? i’m not saying it is bad but with the high mobility of D/D i don’t like having 3 cantrips that have brake stun/remove condition. In my opinion Lightning Flash is good to have (Churning Earth + Lightning Flash, for mobs that run away) and maybe when your out of endurance to get out of a big dmg aoe but with only 1 skill you get all the 3 cantrips… Ether Renewal. I just love that heal skill i use it everywhere (PvE, WvW)

The main thing is for control; I want to be as highly mobile as possible. Reading the guide I mentioned above and after playtesting a bit this game isn’t all about high damage sustainability. But being able to react on the fly and adapt to every situation. What utilities would you suggest?

When i run D/D i like using Signets. Earth for a bit more sustain, water because i don’t like having debuffs on me (no one does) and plus i love to inflict chill on my enemies. For the last slot… depends. When i go world exploring (daily’s ect.) i use Air, but for dungeons i put Fire or Glyph of Elemental Power.
I’m still working on my mastery of the elementalist profession and i still need a LOT of work to do but i hope these tips help you in some way, maybe on how NOT to play ele xP

Hello fellow elementalists! I have full berserkers exalted armor (power, precis, crit) and i happy with it, i kill stuff pretty fast but i would also like to have another armor set with vitality and toughness. Do you guys recommend me to buy a full karma set in Orr? And is S/D useful with my berserker armor (i kinda god bored with D/D, i played with it for to long).

I use D/D all the time! I like running FOTM with it and i’m doing good. Only time i switch to staff is when i’m defending a keep in WvW

I was just derping around when i saw Queen Jennah standing in a swamp. At the start i knew what was going on but it was a fun event

Asura, best running and jumping animations and Ether Renewal looks awesome!!!!

When playing ele you dont want to stay in one attunement for long. point is to constantly switch, i recommend going like this: start in air and knock down your enemy, go to earth for more knock down + bleed, if your on low hp go to water and heal with skill 2 and 5, then go to fire to finish them off
p.s. your a low lvl to be worried bout the rotations and other stuff, for now learn all the skills and try to figure our your self how to best combine them

The guild looks to be a very nice one, but im looking for a EU guild (i forgot to mention that in the post) because i think ill lag if i switch to NA…

Is there a guild out there that is always active in PvE (running dung exp paths, and fracts) and WvW? Every guild i have been in disappointed me, at first it was all great but 3 weeks later it became dead… I would appreciate if someone could recommend me a decent guild

I only got to play the blizzard/svanir one and the giant colossus, both where amazing and had great mechanic.. i def see mu self farming FoM all day

When i hit lvl 80 and finished the story and the world completion i was getting worried. I thought: “Aw man i payed so much for GW2 and now its gonna collect dust on my hard drive…” Then the Halloween event came and i was very exited and spent all my free time playing GW2, but i was still worried because halloween isn’t gonna last for ever. And then you announced The Lost Shores!!! I was supper hyped about the ascendant gear and the new supper dupper HOLY kitten OMg dundgen Fractals of the Mists. With this GW2 finally got the endgame (in my opinion) and thanks to FoM and ascendant gear i see my self spending loots of time in Tyria, having fun ofc… That you Arena Net for showing me that GW2 was the best investment for a long time Thank guys!!!!

I love jumping puzzles in GW2, they are fun, some are hard and the environment where they are set is gorgeous. I was pretty happy when i was 4 more where implanted in the halloween patch and i started ’’hunting’’ them. I must say i was disappointed when i saw that all new jumping puzzles where easy!!!!! The only challenge i notices is finding a way to start them and that’s it. Where is the need for rage? Puzzles need to take time and skill to finish, please Arena Net i don’t want to see that feature noob friendly.

P.S. Make Mad Kings Clock Tower solo instance, it cant be done with 10 norns/charrs in the same area doing the jumping puzzle with my asura!
