Quite frankly both Season 1 and Season 2 has had match fixing, by different means certainly, but it existed in both. I can only speak for the NA side of things, no clue about the events that unfolded on the EU side. Don’t only quarantine this problem to Season 1 OP.

In any case, there really shouldn’t even be a Season 3. The lesson learned here by most everyone, especially us in T1 NA for S1 and S2 (TC, BG, JQ, SOR, SOS) is that these Seasons truly bring out the worst of our servers.

Pets have been a problem since beta. Yet we’re stuck with them, Anet seems to have zero intention of ever removing pets / allowing permanent stowing. It’s a forced handicap upon Rangers and it’ll unfortunately most likely never change until they truly care about the class.

Man, tier 1 forum insults are getting stale, need better material. The guild buying, double teaming and xxx>xxx in open field “thanks for the bags lol” stuff is old. Come on forum warriors I need more interesting stuff to read on lunch.

Like I said before….

If you truly want to de stack a tier 1 server we should look at the core problem. Tier 1 is composed of WvW centered populations while PvE and everything else loses quality, and they all know that…..

They all know they are destabilizing PvE and are happy and don’t care…

So simply connect PvE to WvW in a way, which measures the PvE activities on a weekly basis to buff WvW just like WvW buffs PvE on a weekly basis….

Quite frankly… where are you getting your data? Both JQ and SoR (I’m honestly unsure about BG as I have never guested there) have huge PvE populations as well as huge WvW populations. I an happily say that Overflows do happen often at boss events after reset, even mid-day (looking at you Shatterer :P)

Tying PvE to a mode of PvP is asinine. Sure there are Verteran Wargs and Wurms, but WvW is still a form of PvP, or Zerg v Zerg or Blob v Blob, whatever you want to call it, but it is not PvE and should not be dependent on PvE imo.

Which then brings on a host of other problems like ascended grind for predominant WvW players / players with a multitude of alts but that’s a whole ’nother ball of wax.

Edit: Actually BG did wipe Teq first, i’m sure that has to be a good representation?

Among other benefits the stealth on hunters also let’s you cast the beginning of barrage without detection.

So it’s ok for rangers to have stealth now, but eles cannot have mobility? My double standard sense is tingeling.

Please, just leave.

Ele’s have some of the best mobility in the game. This is clearly a L2P issue on your end Aether.

On topic. Totally dusting off my ranger, rebooting, re-gearing, re-funding and giving her a whirl.

I really don’t see why this is being done.

Condition removal exists for a reason… to remove conditions. I’m sorry but confusion is pretty useless on my Warrior. Let it stack, Shake it Off, then pound the squishy Mesmer into the ground. Simple as that.

Seems the vocal minority is the one that won, or better put, the “1” smashers won. Those who have absolutely no way of looking near their bar and realizing they have a condition… or realize they have a large purpley swirl above them declaring they took damage.

It really doesn’t even take “skill” to avoid confusion. It’s just like bleed or any other condition (well minus daze, can’t Shake Off that one by yourself), you just need to plan your condition removal properly.

Why aNet is targeting a condition which is quite comical, heck, I’d even venture to say useless to a well organized zerg / squad / group (shout heal Warriors are almost a staple to a good group, mostly to mitigate Necros but it deals with Mezzies quite efficiently), and why they aren’t targeting something which has been “OP” since the start, ie Stealth, which has really no counters, or at the very least take the time to fix Rangers to have a viable class there. It’s sad, but they can’t even get into parties easily because they’re such an underrated, and rightfully so, class.

I truly feel bad for Mesmers on this one, the nerf bat is hitting something that really doesn’t need to be hit.

On the plus side, at least for me, I won’t be needing to hit 7 for Shake it Off as often and can get right to the slashing. Heck, even through confusion.

400-500 dmg per confusion tick = ouch, rethink strategy or just hit 7… or 6, FGJ also removes conditions, yay Soldier Runes, as if pressing another button than 1 is complicated.

200-250 dmg per confusion tick = really… that’s it? Rush in and start pounding, heal later. Could even spam 1, who cares!

I would ask that anyone reading this thread not take the supposed “JQ” people as representative of our community as a whole. Anyone who gets on here and gripes about 2v1 is NOT representing the common opinion of our WvW population; they are merely venting for personal reasons, and making JQ look bad in the process. Generally JQers respect SoS for their strategic target selection; it’s straight out smart playing.

For the most part our WvW population is relaxed, respectful, and out to have fun – forum warfare has no part in that. I can tell you for a fact we’re not reveling in any sort of supposed “victory;” we’re hunkering down and preparing for what will likely be a hard week of WvW.

So much this it isn’t even funny.

I’m not sure where some of these posters are coming from (in the pro-JQ fashion)… In all of the time I’ve WvW’d solo and more recently part of [VwV], I have never come across this kind of hostility. Whether it be in Say, Map or Team chat. Everyone there, commanders and members never insult or act rude, it’s always strategic chat because we’re fending off an attack, getting overrun, or launching our own assault.

These people are not true representatives of JQ, simple as that. It anything they’re giving a majority of our membership a poor reputation. It’s quite sad really.

SoS and BG are no where near as crippled as some posters here are making them out to be. JQ isn’t overrun where we can just march along and squish things. [Tysm] (my opinion) is still one of the scariest guilds out there. Never see them coming and wow do they wipe the floor with anything that isn’t part of SoS. Then you have BG which just… has scary strategical strikes. Excellent addition to T1.

Yes, we’re leading right now, whoopty do. We’ve done this other weeks as well, it happens. Doesn’t mean much, anyone can have a good week. Just as with football, “On Any Given Sunday, any team can beat any other team.”

Roflmao. Absolutely priceless.

Extremely disappointed with ANet’s handling of our class. Loved Rangers from GW1.. even with their useless nature on PvE, least they were decent in PvP, but this is just absurd.

As terrible as it sounds, I’m glad I moved into a Warrior now. We got a free buff we didn’t need on a weapon that if any class should have mastered it would be the Ranger, not the Warrior.

FOV (Field of View) Changes Beta Test - Feedback Thread

Love the FOV testing, the only issue is at certain angles in Cursed Shore only, usually when the camera would be under the bridge near Shelter’s Gate, my system with completely freeze up. As in completely lock up and force me to reset.

That being said, I disabled all my OC’s, dropped everything to stock and it still occurred. Removing the -testVerticalFov fixed it. So it isn’t hardware related.. or so I’d think.

i7 3770k, Sabertooth Z77 and a GTX 580. Those are probably the most relevant specs if anything.
