I overall like the idea of the megaservers, but I feel sorry for RPers. Personally, I think it’s cool to see RPers running around—it livens up the world. But I’ve also seen a lot of hate thrown at them—so much so I felt like posting here.
I’m not personally an RPer (although seeing RPers has made me want to try it out), but I feel like there needs to be some tool for them to RP safely, without people bashing them. I think some people previously mentioned some ideas, like having a check-markable megaserver preference for RP. Even something simple like an another chat channel specifically for RP /say and /e I think would prevent a lot of the bashing because it wouldn’t be in the face of non-RPers (assuming they didn’t have that chat channel turned on).
Guild Wars 2 has rich lore, amazing worlds, and interesting races; it’s the RPers who appreciate that the most. I feel like they should at least be given tools to help them weave their stories in peace and security.
A bit late to the update, but I am quite disappointed with how town clothes were dealt with in this patch. (Overall, I do love the new wardrobe system though—just not when it comes to town clothes.)
I don’t understand why we can’t mix match town clothes with other town clothes under the outfit tab. I feel like this is really screwing over people who spent gems on town clothes specifically to mix and match. I really miss being able to mix match “outfits” with different hats (specifically earmuffs or quaggan hats with the winter’s day outfit). I specifically bought the winters day outfit to mix match with earmuffs. Couldn’t the outfit tab also have individual slots for mix matching town clothes? (It’s nice to have outfits as something that doesn’t cost a transmutation charge.) Or convert/adjust the old town clothes into new skins that fit with any other armor. I feel like clipping isn’t a good excuse because there are already clothes that clip with either each other or with the character in some way.
Also, I feel like the default town clothes should have been turned into an outfit. As a tonic, they practically act like an outfit anyway, except you can’t use all your skills. :/ It would have been a good way to introduce new players to the idea of an outfit without having the purchase one. Plus, then you would have been able to dye it.
I understand the difficulties with mixing and matching town clothes with armor, but I don’t understand why we can’t have the ability to mix and match town clothes with other town clothes.
There were some great possibilities for mixing and matching town clothes, even with the limited amount of town clothes in the game. I personally really enjoyed mixing and matching outfits with different hats (like horns with the prince’s outfit, earmuffs with the winter’s day outfit, reading glasses with the default asura town clothes…). I, personally, would much rather be able to keep the ability to mix and match town clothes than make them usable in combat.
Also, question: Will the default town clothes still be accessible?
I’ve been looking for an active, social & friendly guild.
I do have two questions though: What timezone is the majority of members in? And if you guys are doing guild missions, what time are those usually done?
I might be interested in joining. Do I just sign up at the website?
Same here on a random overflow. :x
Same on Jade Quarry. He’s lying on the ground and you can talk to him…but nothing happens.
The same seems to have happened on Jade Quarry. No Noll, just a bunch of people standing around where I’m assuming he would have respawned…
I know there are tons of guides for the Candy-Powered Matter Meter & the books, but I’m still curious about how you work the meter’s fifth skill/ability. The two skills in the fifth slot can either be “Mild Readings” and “Strong Readings”, but I’ve only ever had “Mild Readings”, even when I’m right next to a “Suspicious Location”. Is the fifth ability simply bugged? If not, how do you use it?
Was wondering this myself, but… No, there doesn’t seem to be. I’m assuming there will probably be something you can purchase from the Black Lion Trading Company to change your character’s name…but right now there is no such thing.
While working on my female asura I stopped at the quest where you have to choose either the Priory, Order, or Vigil (Field Test (26)) because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to choose. This was over a week ago and all the audio worked fine. Today, I finally decided to continue my personal story, but when I went back to the instance, Zojja failed to speak after the three representatives gave their choices, although she was audible the second time she spoke in the conversation.
I also noticed this bug when I tried to play a female norn…right off the bat, the starting woman wouldn’t say her first line. Funny that the male norn worked fine though. :/
