Why are NPC’s holding up their arm as if they start healing or something and then nothing happens.

In my opinion they should also regen to full health if left alone for a certain amount of time.

Could someone please explain me why we still don’t have this feature?

An ingame leaderboard with real-time actualization gives ppl the imediate information if a win was an easy or kittene.(Jesus textfilter)
The system as it is now can not even view individual game results….

comon Anet look at the GW1 ingame board and make it happen ASAP!

I know justin would love to make some nice stylish UI for that.

I literally was about to post that i am surprised no one complained about this yet….but then i found this thread haha. We will be fine though guys. I promise.

edit- though id still be willing to trade some stuff for better lifeforce generation tools.

Unless you have some magic prediction powers, i don’t believe we will be fine.

Indeed i think that noone who aims for top competitiveness will take a necro over any other class in his roster. Not in this state of balance atleast.

I agree that the 0 lifeforce start is fine if we will be compensated by better overall LF generation or by regen etc. working in DS.

BTW sorry for being off topic here. I believe the skill Unholy Feast of axe is bugged and does not remove a boon. When you fix this skill anet make it that not only the boon is removed but that the necro recieves every removed boon from this skill.

Regarding the latest nerf’s (unintentional or intentional) to necro i am expecting that the necro community will bring this topic to the balance team asap.
I am playing with different very competitive teams and it is clear that necro needs love!

I’m definitely pushing to have us work on some detailed brainstorming of the guild upgrade system. Here is a very short summary of discussion thus far:

  • Someone suggested that the upgrades be tied to buildings which I think has some very clear potential.
  • People have suggested a few ways to break those upgrades down but none too specific.
  • We need to discuss how the building system would incorporate old upgrades but also provide new ones.
  • What kind of new upgrades would be possible because of the system turning into buildings?
  • What changes to influence and guild progression should happen to make it more intuitive if we went with buildings?
  • How do we build customization into this upgrade system where there currently is none? Someone suggested this and there were some talk of separating clear core functionality from the unique customized features, but that is sort of where we stopped.

I’d love to see people just blue sky take a crack and fleshing out some of these ideas and then I would be happy to summarize which ones I think gel well together and try to combine them into a more cohesive design that we could then begin discussing the pros and cons of.

It would be nice to customize your guild by actually “building” you guildhall!
Integrate certain plug-and-drop building blocks and let people put them on certain areas of an instance or the open world.
“Building blocks” example:
walls—> with all variations available to the wall like corners, gates stairs etc.
npcs—> etc
can be unlocked by guild progression.

I guess guildwars already contains some stunning fortress styles that would be available to players to play around with.

If this would be realized in an instanced system instead of an open world system, you would only limit yourself though. You could give guilds certain areas on the worldmap to build guildhalls on and thereby creating a real alliance/guild world system.

I guess that is off the table! Right?

Give guilds the possibility to design their own Guildhall in a sandbox style!

How should this work:

Every Guild has a limited amount of resources (Guildhallpoints) to build their own guildhall from a map editor view:

-Walls
-Gates
-Lordroom
-NPC’s
- Weopons (everything that already exists like golems, Trebs, Lasers… spiced up with some new ideas hopefully)

Guildhall points can be gained via guild achievment’s/missions/PVP etc…

I had a couple of tests with different small changes to the build:

This build feels stronger than the first build!
Also tested it successful in SoloQ!

I tried warhorn instead of dagger offhand…. together with pack runes.
Also changed from chilling darkness (as suggested by many) to weakening shround since no blind now in the build

I have to say this build feels even stronger because of the massive LF generation with warhorn. This sustain felt strong enough to drop spectral attunement and go into banshie’s wail.
It can also, when played good, kill or stallmate a turret engi of same skill!

Hope someone also tries and likes this build !

I have also been using a zerker spectral build. This one is a little different. But I have been able to use it in teamq and soloq with some success. You can swap in generosity sigils, oh dagger and maybe even WoP if your having trouble against condis but I’m usually ok unless it’s 2 or 3 condi spammers

And in the meanwhile.
Tested in my own build:
-axemastery : → i find it perform subpar when compared with *bold*_chill of death! especially when roaming and you want to have a fast burst in addition to boon remove.
- also: berserker>celestrial
tested that one… find it also underperforming. necro can not profit that much from celestrial stats than ele, ranger, engie, guard (partially). And btw i like to have high direct damage with very low ticking condi since it lurres our condi removals on some enemies.

BTW. For people trying my build → Healing skill interupt is essential! try it you will win :P

First of all, i would recommend everyone to try the build before judging fast!

I have a very good understanding of sPVP and what i want to achieve with this build.
It is supposed to be a roaming build with decent burst and without the melee range disadvantages. BTW i am using this in SoloQ and its really fun!

The goal was to not be the one trick pony of a well powernecro (which i also played a lot; #believe me) and to add more sustain to the power necro. Also I think axe can be more useful that d/d because of low cooldowns. Overall it would be stupid to take death perception since you get fury in DS for 5 secs you already have 69% crit chance (waste 29% of the crit bonus where you can take better), besides never drop close to death for that trait!

On most maps I play with Fleshworm anyway, because it has big positional advantages.

So to all that say chill on blind is not a very good trait i have to agree!BUT it adds to the overall playstyle of this build and other choices like reapers precision are worse (tested).

First i also thought that axe is not viable but i guess this build actually recieved a lot of sustain since the last patch using traited spectral amor + spectral at 50% gives you lots of sustain. The weapon choice also provides very nice condition transfer.

I find it kind of strong and would like your opinion as a necro PVP playerbase.

New Game Mode idea

For a moment i want to fantasize ….

Give guilds the possibility to design their own castle/Guildhall!

How should the game mode work:

You only got limited resources for instance NPC’s you can pick and determine their location in you castle… certain number of walls stairs and so on to put together a reasonable fighting terrain.
You could even introduce certain achievments for the guild to accomplish in order to upgrade their castles:
- be able to have one more wall parts
- build a golem or whatever you can imaging that already exist in the game
- insert more creative ideas :P

In the end it comes down to a GVG like game mode where your guild (with your castle) gets matched against other guilds and their castle designs. The team that kills the enemy lod wins.

In my idead its like a sandbox where a certain scaffold brings together the 2 castles with linking paths. Maybe insert different scaffolds like a flag stand in the middle or a capture point for a certain buff or even both.

The wet dream of a sandbox game just in a small environment.

I know that this concept is propbably very hard to implement in this game, although we saw the awesome map creating tool which could be somehow modified to let players design castles with precast structures.

I agree… Necro is not viable in top tpvp! This is mainly because the meta builds on warrior and ele have ridiculous amount ob condi immune/ cleanse. Sustainwise necro lacks compared to ele/ war/ ranger and even thiefs (evades).

I think the problem is the poor trait design on Spite and Blood Traitlines.

Most of the traits Spite are simply totally out of context… and i still dont get the design behind the still unviable Blood line.

Did you consider that the league status (in addition to friends, guilds language ….) of a player could also have a value when choosing a map-instance of the Mists for a particular player? That would bring people of the same skill together in one instance.

When they showed ingame footage of the new map on the dev stream, i noticed a few new features on the top screen, which came down when moving the cursor over the match count.

Among these i saw a button for PVP build!!
Does this mean we will finally get something like the template system of GW?

Switching builds faster would definately promote players to try different builds and counter enemy set ups?

Anyone else noticed it?

I play necro… and can intentionally interupt basicly everything which is 0,5 or higher (+ has a noticable animation). This is because my interupt is moreless instant in DS.

What type of structure would you find interesting for leagues and ladders?
I would like to see something similar to GW1. Daily automated tournaments for earning qualification points, which qualifies your team for playing the monthly tournament.

How long should a season last?
1 month.

What would motivate you to play in one?
Competition, fun, rewards.

What types of rewards would you like to see?
Special capes/finishers, lots of rank points, gems.

How would a player earn these rewards?
By a good performance, i.e. place 1-32, depends how many teams participate.

How would you encourage players of all skill levels to participate?
I wouldnt. Everyone can join the daily tournaments, those who arent skilled enough for getting the QP´s need to improve. Everyone whos willing to improve will participate anyway.
Oh, and rewards for daily tournaments of course, everyone who has a lil bit of fun with pvp will try to archive them anyway if they´re big enough.

I would like to see this happen.

I think personally Anet should not give up on the automated tournament system.. To give high-ranked players the possibility to compete.

Automated tournaments should, as a parallel approach, give bonus rating for ladders. Additionally the system should provide in the highest instance (Monthly or even yearly Tournaments) also the highest achievable reward—> in case you wanna go Esports with this game GEMS or money prices.

I am a dedicaded GW1 and GW2 PVP Player… In both games i played at the top competitive level. I loved automated tournaments even though they arrived to late in terms of an feature in GW1.
Please try to integrate a similar system in GW2 earlier.
Its highly rewarding in my opinion to get a rating boost by playing more competitive.

Hi my name is Nacht Fuchs, i am a german player who studied gw2 PVP since beta :P!

Currently i have no fix team, like a lot of experienced GW2 PVP players. I figured it would be nice to give people the chance to meet people of their skill level and maybe come together to form teams. I enjoy international teams very much where you find a nice mix of characters most of the time.

For the purpose of bringing people together i will start the project Top hundred and Friends [QQ]. I will contact everyone currently rated on the SoloQ ladder in top 100-200 asking them if they are interested to take part and meet other people to form Teams. The next step is to form a PVP guild with the same name. I know SoloQ rating is very much dependent on luck and most peaople there already have a team, but anyway i would like to use it as a tool to bring together people of the same level.

Well, i’ve read your post. Warrior changes are needed, indeed. Its weird how they can be invincible for a few secs. Though theres a reason why there is smth. like that i guess. Its just like with the condition immunity of the engineer. Try to play vs a good condition class without it. You’ll die. You cant dodge everything. I’d rather do smth. about the condition ‘burst’ of engineers and necros (though it hurts my heart to say that as an engineer player).
Its propably a good idea to start at the conditions itself. You did that too Sensotix. I agree with the criple, fear and propably with the bleeding stuff.
Torment? Hm. I hope you forgot to write there that ppl should only get half of the dmg of what they are getting right now while they are moving. Otherwise, the change of double dmg while not moving wouldnt make that much sense. If you want to punish ppl for not moving around, go all the way :P
Other stuff like burning, chilling and so on… Im not quite sure about that. But its rather possible that all the condition classes would be useless then. Ppl would have to use their conditions more carefully. Propably. Im not sure if ppl would make the effort if you can play on a easier way. Like playing offguard. Or s/d – thief ( that WILL be still kittening strong after the upcoming patch, no worries). Or the god kitten knockback-engi, that seems to be getting popular. I personally dont like the idea of just pushing ppl around and not fighting them, but it seems to be easier. I imagine that the tank/knockback – meta will be getting more popular then too (its already popular though, i know…).
