After 1, 2 or 3 you cant do it anymore? Well, guess I’m a miracle then as Im currently working on my 16th toons world completion. Why? Because I love exploring and I love having everything open on my toons. If you dont want to put the work in, you dont get the perks, end of.

My friend just tried to purchase gw2 via buy.guildwars2.com, and she didnt recieve an email with her serial code. She then filed a support ticket, which went through, gave her the number and told her the confirmation mail got created.. but she still hasnt recieved that email, either. What can she do to contact support, if the emails arent reaching her? She’s checked all her folders multiple times, neither email has shown up.

Sooo you flatout lied to us when you said youd be giving us new permanent content in the form of an additional dungeon path. This is replacement content. Not what we wanted, go back to the drawing board. TAFU merely needed the boss to be reverted to the way he was to be one of the more played paths again, no need to delete it =/ Myself and other players still ran this path for some extra challenge.. This is not what you have been promising us, at all.

The invite doesnt pop up, because it doesnt collide with the players =P They can’t accept it..

Since the last update, the “How to Dance, Volume 1” book, that we paid gems for, is bugged. The last skill, the one to invite others to join you and to sync up your dance with them, doesnt work anymore and will pass through everyone you shoot it at, rather than collide with them and creating a joining spot.

Please fix this..

I got my Bifrost a few months back, I didnt cut back on playing at all ^^ Instead, I’ve been lvling alts to 80, giving away things to friends to help them with their legendaries, and just been having a good time derping around with my guildies. I dont need a specific goal to have fun. n_n

Started playing in Beta, still holds my interest for hours on end, every day.

I agree with Awe Extender. Target those assa’s as soon as they spawn, and burn them down. When they do reach Magg cause you weren’t fast enough, just pop a blind onto them. If they miss their initial attack, they ragequit and despawn. It’s honestly not too bad. I thought my share of whyanetwhyyyy the first time we tried this post-patch, but once you get used to it a bit, it’s honestly not that hard.

We did this boss a few days back, he’s not too bad if you just keep your distance, and make sure your team is spread out so that when 1 person gets downed, another can come save him. Using CC’s to keep him in place also helps tremendously when trying to stay at range. Dont underestimate dodging, either, as one dodge can make you evade quite some hits of his frostgun! Bosses always seem more difficult the first time you encounter them, practice makes perfect!
Also, when he starts having the golems fight with him, drop all damage from him onto the golem to make your life a ton easier. n_n

I’m not in charge of the patch notes, although I did make that request for it since there was considerable attention around the bug. Some bug fixes just aren’t deemed important enough to spend resources on, and some things we simply don’t announce (like some exploit fixes). I try to keep things as transparent as I can though, but the end decision isn’t up to me.

Understandable, yet sad, too. I think you got cheated out of some happy faces!

You have no idea what their traits were. It’s possible to have +300 toughness and +300 vitality without armour (down scaled in AC, the same as armour). I think all the solo vids proved you don’t need defensive stats, I think the average puging experience proves they are incredibly useful. I see people downed all the time. I’ll take someone with some defensive stats, able to take a hit to resurrect an ally over a zerker who is going to fall over if a stiff wind blows in his direction while resing an ally.

Traitwise, I know our necro has a ton of toughness and vitality. Our warrior I believe was in berserkers, as well as (I believe!) both our ele’s. We deffo liked having the necro there, as I always joke he should just take my hits and i’ll deal his damage for him.. Didnt go like that this run though, as my damage was very sub-par (I’m the ele with horrid fps) without my armour. We’re in no way awesome at the game, so even without armour, someone with a bit of tankyness was a blessing.

And if the necro reads this I’ll never hear the end of it.

really does bring over the chaos we puggers sometimes have in our runs (I usually have 1 person I know, fill the rest with randoms). though you probably underestimate the value of knowing how a fight should work compared to gear. someone who has no clue how ac works will have many more deaths than you without gear, which is fine, but the current system (wp-ressing only outside of combat) disallows them the necessary training time to get better. so I kinda agree, AC or to some extent any dungeon is way to hard to get into and still easy if you know your way around.

this definately was a joke (why else would you run a dungeon naked?) and yes, there are people who find ac hard. this goes for every dungeon (or any other part of the game), the individual player skill will ceil somewhere, sometimes higher, sometimes lower. don’t be so condescending just because some players aren’t up to your standards. it’s ok if you say you only want to run with skilled/experienced players (same goes for me), but that doesn’t mean you should look down on them like this.

Yes, our video is a sort-of joke. We’re rarely serious, ever, and we love it. Just before recording this we did P2 and went completely brainless on Kohler, wiping 4 times, with armour on. We often let having fun get in the way of staying organised.. We did this for fun, and oh dear, did we have it ^^ Armourless dungeons at 4AM, cause why the beep not.
I’ll agree that knowing how the fights work, helps tremendously. Which is why we often run dungeons with our less-experienced guildies, to show them the ropes n_n Once you get them down though, there’s room for having fun and doing dumb things, like taking off your armour.

Since the patch that prevents people from waypointing while their team is still fighting, I’ve seen a lot of threads on here saying it’s impossible to complete. Now, mind you, the guild I am in consists of a lot of weird, crazy, brainless people.. So we looked at eachother and went: Ok, we’re gnna do that without armor nao.

And so we did. Just to prove 2 points.
1) AC is still doable, even when you go full kitten
2) We’re insane.

Obviously, we aren’t the best of players. We didn’t even look at who would bring what profession. We all play what we enjoy. Our weapons weren’t all exotics, either. Or well, I know mine weren’t, as I’ve not had my american account for long enough yet to get her geared out. Me being in Europe on an American server means I did have delay, and I know my fellow teammates don’t all have a proper connection either. One of our other members in that run is in Australia.. Basically, what I’m trying to say.. You don’t need to be “elite” to pull this off, just a hint of insanity is enough.

As an ele, i strongly agree with the OP.
When I run dungeons I’m always using a staff for the strong support-spells. But sometimes you tire of that when your group proves to be awesome enough to not need the support at some parts. Not being able to think Heh, might as well go S/D on this bit and just do that is quite annoying. I know I could just open my bags and do it, but I’m sure something would realise im slacking and jump up to bite me in the face, which I’d not notice as I’d have my inventory open.

This means the user you are trying to invite is already in 4 guilds. The message is real confusing as it seems like its you thats met the limit, but it’s actually them.

198 normal tonics before I got my endless one.

Yeah. That RNG doesn’t like me at all.

Did this just fine yesterday with 3 first-timers, everyone was between lvl 40 or lvl 50.. We didn’t wipe once =P I’m really not seeing what’s supposed to be so difficult in this dungeon. The group I had was a PuG, so it’s not like we had superb communication either or anything..
When the snipers are on you, just dont move, they do way more damage when ur moving, as it does say when you’ve selected them.

This so sucks =/ People getting the tonics so early in this topic..

Well, all I can say is that both my boyfriend and myself play this game, and since we live together we have the same situation as you and your roommate do. We never get disconnected though. Ok we do, when our modem acts up, but we can’t blame that on anet nor on us using 2 clients at the same time.
I dont know why it would be doing that for you. We can play GW2 at the same time no problem.. And our connection isn’t even good at all. (Finally upgrading tomorrow though, YAY!)

I run CoE daily, it sometimes takes a while to get a pug going, but theres not been a day that I don’t end up with a full group.

I enjoy the dungeon, as it’s one of the few that actually require some sort of teamwork and has a somewhat challenging boss. The lodestones that can drop are nice ofc, but in all honesty, i give most of those to my bf for his legendary, I just run the dungeon for fun. Ofc, the armor it gives doesnt look half bad either so the tokens are used towards gearing my alts ^^

Guardians on Desolation have been moving around the NPC’s, mostly dungeon vendors, in Lion’s Arch. I have filed a bug report in-game, but felt it’d be safest to also make a post here.

They’re using a skill to knockback the vendord, i dont know the name or number of the skill, but they appear to be using a hammer.

I dont even know why this wasnt implemented at release. Its such an obvious thing thats lacking.

I would LOVE to be able to see when my members have last been online. Its quite annoying not knowing if im really running out of space and will need to expand, or if theres like 10 inactive people i can boot out to make room for new invites..

I personally dont care about the influence people bring in, but i can see why youd want that.

Just please, pleaassee give us a way to check when people have last been online. We had this in gw1, all guilds used and NEEDED it, why isnt it in gw2 =/

Hah, good question. I’ve tried numerous ways of getting to it, including bashing my ele into the wall it seems to be in multiple times.. Didnt work, and i dont think she liked me much after either.

While I agree with the advice you give, I’d also like you to look back to your first run where you had no clue what was going on. We all need to start somewhere, and some people just happen to see the animations quicker than others

@OP: The knockdown they give can indeed be pretty lethal if you get hit by it, but there is plenty ways around that. Doding, blocking, stability boons, or even the elementalists Mist Form skill all are an effective way of avoiding the frustrating leap of the scavengers. The more you try to really look at them, the easier it’ll be for you to have enough time to dodge once they charge. It’s just a matter of practice, and in the meantime, you can bring skills to counter their leap. ^^

Please yes, do move them. That, or give us an in-game LFG tool.

Whenever I log in now, I get put into an LA overflow, which for some reason I find quite annoying. Now if that were the only issue I’d have with it, fine, I can live with as much. But whenever I try to get a group for an ‘older’ dungeon on the off-hours.. It takes me up to an hour to get a group! And I dont even really mind which one I’d end up running! Any LFG message I’d put out would be spammed away by FotM lvl x requests in mere seconds.

I dont mind the dungeon, I certainly dont mind the people wanting to run it. I just mind that the placement of the dungeon makes it so much more difficult to get a group for another dungeon together. Sure, some of that has to do with less people running those dungeons. But being put on an overflow and having your message be gone from sight in mere seconds really doesnt help much.

If we had an in-game lfg tool, it’d be both easier for the people wanting to run older dungeons to find a group, as for the people wanting to find a group for their level of the fractals.

I know of the existance of the lfg-website, I do use it.. But it doesnt compare to what an in-game tool would be since it being a website from a 3rd party means a lot of players wont know about it or will reject to use it.

I honestly dont mind either way. Skip or kill, both have things for and against. I always ask my group what they want, and do as they please. It saves a whole lot of frustration if you just think ‘Meh, if I kill him I get +3 tokens and some silver, if I don’t kill him I’ll save some time and will be able to do more runs’.
Really guys, it is in the end, just a game. Try to enjoy it rather than to be annoyed at the little things, that makes it so much more worthwile.

Nope, the only reason youd do story mode on your alts is to unlock access for them to explorable modes. You dont even really need to do that, as long as 1 partymember has it unlocked, you’ll be able to get in. ^^

It has nothing to do with auto-completion, if you as much as move ur camera while writing the mail, you can select a different person by accident, especially when ur near a crowd like you would be close to a bank. It happens a lot.

I’m usually on from 10 am til 11 pm, GMT+1.. Unsure what that is in american times though, but that shouldnt matter as youd be able to see when I’m online in that guild =]

Can bring an ele, mesmer, and soon engineer as well. Though I prefer running on my ele (Staff Support, DD isnt exactly viable in dungeons )

Try it on off-hours. I’m on a high pop server myself (Desolation) and thought the same when I always tried at the evenings. So one day I was sick of that, got up an hour early, and got 4 out of 5 crystals needed in the morning. Theres groups of 10 people doing Shatterer on weekdays that early in the morn. ^^

We really do meed all of those improvements, the most important being the ability to see the last time someone has logged on. Its very annoying to have members that might not have been online in a month without being able to check if this is indeed the case.
