I guess it might be bugged after it happend once every map or something? A few days ago I was doing Snowden for Map Completion and it happend to be up while I was passing the area.
So let’s say:
Day 1: You do the elixir chain, you have the buff and get the daily and log off..
Day 2: You log into that same char, for some reason the game still thinks you have yesterdays buff and you automatically get the Elixir Addiction daily without lifting a finger.
Minor thing, not game breaking, but I don’t think this was intended this way :P
So a few days ago I made Kodan’s Warmth, not knowing that you don’t see it at all on charrs.. if you pay close attention you can just see a tiny bit of smoke coming out it’s neck as if it’s on fire below its armor or something.
I tried to contact support about it, but they redirected me to the forum to post it here. So my question to Anet is: Is there any plan to fix this?
Seeing the amount of gold I (and most likely others with charr mains aswell) put into it we should be able to see at least something! I know I can put it on a different race as well, but my mains are charrs, and I would hate to see something so expensive go to waste…
Yep same here, I hope they’ll be able to fix it without us losing the resources spend…

Although it does not fix your problem.. did you consider letting someone else start the story part and let them finish it to bypass this for now so you can continue?
Make a ticket, if you can prove its your GW1 account they can unlink it and relink to the your account, I had something similar years ago.
Sadly none can help you here, sometimes a fault can happen in their detection system. Your only option is to write a ticket to Support and explain your case there. Might be a good thing to change your password too incase your account has been hacked. Good luck!
I used GW2 repair and it solved the problem for me, might want to check that out

Well I didn’t farm the new map that much yet, but rares seem to be popping like crazy from event rewards and stuff. Probably everyone trying out the new map cause a too big supply. I expect it will stabilize when people go back to their daily routines.
You don’t need shards. Do not destroy the bloodstone, use the counter skill from the mastery against it and you’ll form a ‘line’ of bloodstone between you and the bloodstone. Make the line wider and make sure she gets hit by it. It will break the defiance bar.
Do you have HoT? I believe you only get if you bought the expansion
When you do the story ‘Prisoner of the Dragon’ you get to choose between three different backpacks. If you didn’t choose the “Recruit’s Backpack” as reward the collection remains locked.
You have to finish the story on a character that has chosen the “Recruit’s Backpack” aswell to unlock the items needed for the collection, doing it on a character that has chosen a different backpack will NOT grant progress.

I know that you can equip weapons the opposite way, having it in PvE then enter PvP and still have the weapon equipped. When you do this however , you just have no skills at all while holding the weapon making it still a useless feature that luckily can’t be exploited. I didn’t try it with just the spec in PvP though. Does the weapon skills remain locked out too from PvP → PvE? Otherwise this is something they should definetely fix fast.
Got the game since the original release , and I have to say that I do not feel any need to keep old items unavailable aswell. Should they keep it the same difficulty to obtain the item? Yes, but by keeping it in Reward Tracks they in my opinion did just that. If they changed the armor skins to some cheap TP sellable armor then it would be a different story for me.
Guild Wars 2 is not a hard game, not an extremely competitive game either, personally I feel no need to have items just to show off that I was playing during a certain period of time. Also I believe they mentioned long ago that the dissappearing of these skins was unintended and would return at some point? I can be wrong though.
I think giving all tools something will end up in another yell that ‘gem store is suddenly giving unfair advantages in the game’ like people did when the watchwork one was first released
It remains a grey area, some don’t do it because it’s against there moral or because they think its cheesy, or just dont give a kitten (like me), but I don’t think you’ll have to worry about a risk for a ban.
Whole guilds are already made purely to make as many different maps as possible and taxi their hearts away. I think Anet would’ve made a statement by now if they were really against it. Perhaps an unexpected fix one day, but I don’t expect any bans.
There’s actually an achievement already to collect an x number of legendaries (stops at 5 already though), but it gives no title. I don’t think they’ll suddenly start implementing a title for it. Personally I don’t feel need for another title in the long list of titles :P But if they do then they should at least make it to actually owned and equipped legendaries. It would be stupid if someone buying Eternity would suddenly get credit for three legendaries instead of one
On a side not: there is an achievment to get 2x the same legendary with a title though (Twice-Told Legend).
Crafting trainers can be found in any major City they should all have their own unique icon on the map. Next to the station is the NPC to start learning it.

I’ve actually gotten a group all through LFG for this achievement a few days ago (EU). Our party composition was:
1 Engi, 1 DH, 1 Berserker, 1 Ranger and 1 Herald.
I’d say Eir is the hardest phase. You got 2 options to clear this. The first one is to break her bar and with a good group you can get her down by half in one burn. Second method is to leave the major dps for Garm everytime. The focus here is to bring Garm down everytime fast enough that Eir doesn’t start the Fire AoE that people usually wipe on (this is how we did it after 2 tries).
If you manage to finish Eir you’ll probably be safe for the rest of the fights. Canach is pretty much a ‘run circle, dodge and kill the blue bar fight, that doesn’t really bring much challenge compared to Eir.
Mordry has a few tricks extra in it sleeves. But nothing that you can’t overcome with teamwork if you managed to finish Eir. Good luck!
EDIT: Be sure to check both the HoT story as the Achievement Hunters one in LFG, people seem to post at both for this.

Nice list, though I wonder how you mean ‘easiest’ in that list. Are you talking about time or skill? For example I’d personally find the Triple Wurm easier then for example doing all the achievements of LS2. Triple Wurm can give upto 5 mastery points:
- One achievement each wurm, you can fail the event as long as you kill the head of your wurm (3 in total)
- One achievement for doing the event succesful (1)
- One for doing all achievements (1)
As for Triple Wurm you just need to hop to a GW2Community map and even if you’re not experienced with it yourself the others can ‘carry’ you to the kill. While LS2 requires (although I admit they arent very difficult) some degree of skill and time dedication.
Right now it would save you about 300 Gold if you crafted (assuming youre not TP buying all the mats) compared to direct TP buying. However ofcourse this’ll take a lot of time if you dont have the time gated stuff ready yet. So it’s upto you how long you have the patience to get it.
Personally I’d go for the crafting, but thats just a personal preference because I find some of the journey parts quite fun, so I’d go for crafting even if it’s a little bit more expensive.
I think the problem isn’t a single case but more the impact it’ll have onthe ingame economy in general if a lot of people start doing this. Some items prices will make weird loops both up and down if it would be allowed to continue on the long run.
Quite a lot of threads are made around this afk farming and it if its allowed or not. The respond hasnt really been clear about how much of it is allowed or in what forms it isnt allowed anymore. Report and move on is what I just do for now.
A few nodes?? I harvested like 30 of them and still havent got the flower.. Fix it.
Drop rate is dam low but its still there, I’ve unlocked all achievs at the release and atl east once a week farm CS and harvest anything on the path. I got the Lotus like a week ago, not sure if the drop rate is intended to be THAT low but it exists.

Back to this topic. I’m not sure which one it was anymore in the collection, but I remember I couldn’t commune with a place of power aslong as I had Quartz in my inventory. If I removed it the option did come up.
EDIT: I just managed to finish Nevermore, have to Ponder first in Wayfarer at the statue, I had no trouble afterwards in Snowden Drifts at the Skill Point. Quartz doesnt block it either as its NOT really a commune there.

+Power over Barradin was quite a pain because the event seem to bug out and simply doesn’t start again when that happend once.
Does Barradin restart at a certain time? Or how did you manage to find a working map? I’ve been stuck at it for a week now
Even if you already did a hero point (one that doesnt req. just channeling) you can get 26k xp + random loot daily from it. In a way they already took care of people being rewarded for doing them again or helping people with it.
I got the same problem, I got 100% world completion pre-HoT and finished Verdant Brink and Auric Basin and nothing… looks like Tangled Depths will stay 98% until this bug is fixed..
Soo.. Not only did they NOT give people the old rewards they earned but they didn’t even fix it for 100% characters doing it now? Wonder what that patch was about it then lol

There is DAILLY reward for every hero point in the form of loot and experience points. As far as I see they already did this? Or do you think the rewards wont be enough to keep people helping others with it?
Its a bit of a grey area. I can’t imagine they intended old masteries to be finished that fast so I would assume that something will be done to stop this.
Whether they do something to the ones who already used this trick is a guess for everyone. Chance that they remove the xp earned by doing it for some that clearly done to finish everything. Unless they don’t mind half of the mastery system being avoided by this trick.
A tip for challenge mode if you want to do it with more people. Bring REFLECTS, they work against the sand wall thing he summons. It makes this achiev so much easier if you have some guardians with you.
But this time it is unlikely that the ordinary player will complete all story achievements. Only the “pro” players, the ones with days to practice, will successfully perform the final fight in challenging mode.
It is really easier to pay 10 gold and grind another 1000 bandit crests and get the trinket directly than to fruitlessly try this frustrating mission.
Actually the challenge mode isnt that bad. If you go with more players the none caithe get their normal skills, and reflects works against the wall. With a few guardians its easily done.
This seems to happen a lot today. They refuse to tell how but I have the feeling going off map like they do isnt even happening. Is it even allowed to do this or is this a form of abusing bugs?
We know what rewards and ofcourse Anet workers can have their opinion what they prefer.. but since all the rewards are clear, I do not see how their opinion makes it unfair, its not as if theyre putting a few mil tokens towards evon or anything
For me it keeps the game interesting, the mini-games are a nice break from the real game every now and then. doing something else then the regular attacking. Ofcourse they should also create new zones and such and maybe cut the mini-games a little. But not completely ignore it.
