So i saw the NPC in divinity reach as a human. And i notice the price of those armor and it’s so expensive o.o for a full gear you need about 119 gold ?

With that amount of gold you could get far better gear from TP and berserker even.

So my question is why is it like that? and is there any point in getting these armor ? aside the (skin unlock)

They do have some “cool skin” but it should have more practical use ? :O or ~ am i missing something

I do understand why Anet would want to make money of the gemstore that way they can keep up their salaries and “content” out. But yea i think they are “forcing players” or manipulating in away to buy gems anways.

IF they would make an bundel of say 2000 or 2.5k gems for all three gathering tools then maybe i would buy them.

Last week i gotten 2 chracters slots for 800 gems now it;s on sale for 400 ish.

it pains me because with 1600 gems i could get a new copy of Gw2 and store stuff there. Of-course there are some downside on that method. BUt this is just to point out how ridiculous some pricing are. My personal opinion is that cash-shop items should in no way cost more then a game. unless you get Something worth wile or “content”

I hope that Anet take notice of this (how little the chances are) since i know large gaming company dont really care what players feel about pricing ~.

Please lower the price a bit to be more adorable. or adjust it a bit.

P.S the new weapons skin on the gem store, i like the katana skin but for 800 gems it’s a bit to much for a skin that doesnt have any effects to it. think about it would it not be cooler with flames or glow? or both? Endless possibility with that weapon. for now i feel that skin should be 300-450 gem not 600

HI all, i just wondering with the Anniversary sale going on. I wonder if im the only one that thinks “gems” are pretty expensive.

right now i see the “unlimited farming tools” and they go for 1000 gems, to get all 3 Unlimited farming tools you would end up putting 3k gems for those items.

Then come the skins and other stuff. I understand that the game needs to get their funding form somewhere. and it’s a “free to play game” instead of the p2p during gw1. But still i think you “invest” a lot of money then monthly subscription with an open item mall.

I will wait and see what more “sale” or discount there will be on the gemstore. As of now it’s to pricey for me.

Anyone agree with me ? i would like to know your opinion on the gems prices . and if Anet should “change” abit

Why so many DDo’s attack ? cause of the “perma bans” ? or gems being to expensive?

So i have bought this game, and played for nearly 4 weeks.

And i have notice that the game is surprisingly not running as smooth as i have hoped.

And no this is not a hardware problem, It’s laggy and server is crashing. TP or gem store has a long time to load up same as map. and having delays with skills

MY game has crashed a few times now and i get DC mostly.

So is this normal? i would expect better server quality form Guildwars. specially with the prices for Gems.

Please sort this out. Smooth game play helps a lot !

well if you can put a skin on a weapon and transfer it between characters wont that be "saving ’ a transmutation charge? in stead of buying a weapon, put a skin on it.

I know that, but that way it cost a transmution charge.

my question is, since you can trade of “white and blue” items to other characters. is it also possible with a white weapon what has that skin.

hence saving to use an transmutation skin

If i buy a ’white or blue" weapon and i put an skin on it with “transmution charge” can i transfer that weapon to other chracters? to use ? or wil it be soul bound ?

I wonder this with armor as well

reason is when i start a new character i wanna make it look cool/cute

I’m trying to look for a “tank” profession. Yes before everyone say i know there are no “specific” class or role in this game. And that “tank” doesn’t exist.

I just want a profession that doesn’t die, and is easy to learn for a newcommer. I have hear that warrior is the most “user friendly” one.

Does anyone have a guide or a tutorial that is up to date ?

And yes each 10 levels i buy new gears and weapons. or i just use what i get from drop.

I have been playing Gw2 for some time now, and i still haven’t picked a “main” character to focus on. So i have been trying new professions to see which style fits me the most.

But re-starting a new character is kinda painfully specially at lowerlevel. Gearing and buying some new stuff.

my question is, how to level quickly so that you can see what the class is about and how to earn some gold with it. Since crafting isn’t profitable i don’t know how to make enough money to gear up my characters. On my server Light armor are ridiculous expensive compared to medium or heavy armor.

Any advice is welcome. Im already selling all gather items i have. Any way to make some decent coins? 15 slots bags are pretty expensive T^T and i dont wanna convert gems to gold.

Does any one have an other map to level up? next to kessex hills ? like dynamic events rotation? Any advice would help trying to level up my chracters.

So since two days im getting 48 exp for completion. Normally i would get around 800-900+ and the higher level i become the more exp i get. this apply to the boss “spider queen”

I wonder why am i bugged? or something ? I did what i do normally i do all my dps rotation.

And lately im feeling like it takes forever to level up, im currently in kessex hills doing the boss rotation. Spider queen > alch > spider queen > witch > other group events nearby. it seems that other bosses are fine getting the normal exp

hope that some one can shed some light in this. Or should i contact the support ?

OH, you were talking about crafting professions, well you’re not going to make money from them, it’s just a novelty that Anet threw into the game to appease those who like to grind out useless things like that. Since we aren’t allowed to actually sell the high end stuff we can craft, crafting is pointless. The only way that you are ever going to make money in this game that is blessed by Anet is through trading post manipulation. There are very very few things that you can craft that will actually net you a profit unless you really like to grind that out for the meager earnings and accumulate over time, you can make much more than that just doing world boss runs or WvW grind zone Edge of the Mists.

Sorry, but Crafting is only good for some skin unlocks that can’t be attained by killing an enemy or acquired by karma.

Bullkitten. It is possible to make money from every Crafting Discipline.
When I leveled my Armorsmithing it cost me 35G to get it to 500. I sold items back that I had created and banked 140G when done.
Same with Cooking. I can make some mad cash selling certain high end foods. You NEVER use food or utility consumables?

Don’t just jump on your soapbox and tell new players that it is a garbage system and waste of time/money. We NEED new players to keep this game alive. Those new players need to be encouraged to play, not discouraged away from one of the main game features.

Crafting IS important to the game world. Circle of Life and all that.

I did leather working im now at level 300 and i think i used about 40 G to get there. But i dont know how to make money ~ i was trying to craft bags slots but after looking how much it will cost to make it i’ll suffer a lost..

I’m not sure about the gear etc. But yea that money that i used does hurt alot specially xD since i saved up that much gold haha

So lately i have been browsing the gem store, and i wonder what items are actually worth getting ? Since things aren’t as cheap as they seems. An skin will cost 700-800 gems that would be around 10 euro/USD then you can only apply it once on a armor piece. If you want other you need to buy transmutation charge which will cost more gems.

So yea any tips or advice on gem store ? And is gem > gold conversion actually worth it ?

last question how do people make game in this game, legendary sells for 3000+ gold how do people make that amount of money? i dont think they would spend 1000+ Euro in the game for that. ~

Hi all im new to crafting ~

In all MMORPG i dont really like crafting cause it takes time and it cost alot to make a profit.

But i see that they give some EXP and help with levling ~ So i did the cooking but i was thinking of taking on leatherworking. Im now lvl 150 and hoping to get it to 400.

But so far i already lost 20 G to get 150 ~ and i worry if i need an other 20+ to get to 400 and will i beable to make back the money with that profession.

I hope some one could give me some tips

I have hear form many players that there are sales on the gems store. Are there like a fix date or time when sale are up ? or when there are new items introduced ?

If so please tell me so that i can spend my gems more wisely.

P.s I am looking for the copper fed salvage thingy ~ is that a good investment ? or should i wait ? for the silver version ?

Hello, i just started GW2 and have played over 3 weeks ish. I dont know all expects of the game so sorry if i dont know better.

But form other classes to engineer i dont see engineer actually have any speed spell or buff. So why is engineer so limited? And the walk speed is super slower compared to other classes. I have unlocked the skill “rocket boots” but i dont see any benefits in open world exploration not with a 16sec cool down.

yes i have hear that engineer can stack speed buff by kit switching but that is in very late levels.

Just wondering if i got it right or wrong if so please teach me to get speed buffs etc ~

I really started to hate engineer for it’s walking speed etc.

Hello all, im new to the game.

And i have looked on some sites that talks about this subject but i need some clarification about it. Since the topics are very out dated (4-8 months old).

Well i was looking for style in the gem store, and i would like to buy it, but i hear it’s only a one time use and if you want to reuse it it will cost real life more (transmute thingy)

Is this correct ? cause i have the herotic version and i have that “medium armor” thing selected and sometimes i could change the look on my character with out using those (transmute thingy)

So im kinda confused, hope that some one could explain things for me.

And if it’s wise to buy these “style” at a lower level, since the old topic said it’s best to wait to lvl 80 ~
