Hello,
Not sure if the same for others, but I can’t complete the Bring the Phantom Residue to Rest collection. It just wont give me the option. I’ve attached a screen showing that I have the Phantom Residue in my inventory, the achievement is not done yet and that the option is missing.
I submitted a bug through the game client, but nothing yet.
I also noticed that the elite specs are kind of overpowered right now. Some of them are very PvE focused though, which is fine. However the new elite specs undercut the original ones in a way that doesn’t seem fair to me either.
I also think that this is normal cause ANet do need to sell the expansion after all. If they went like “the new content is just new stuff, but nothing special that will make you feel stronger” then it would be plain stupid
The suggestion is good though and I hope it gets to them.
So I guess I try running around, chopping some wood and hope for the event to spawn
I can agree with Linfang.1087.
I like all the new features and all, but for the money…
For me on of the biggest fail was the storyline. For a whole expansion it seemed just like a demo or an extended version of the living story updates they did back then.
Congratz man. How long did you have to wait for the event to start?
I can’t see the Ancient Stone Summit Shoulder Spike in the TP actually. Not sure of there is any other way.
Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the event Protect Krewe leader Dobbs as the krewe clears the excavation site event is still bugged? You know, the one in Teimberline Falls needed for the Treasure Hunter achievement.
Hopfully someone has done it
I like the fact that HoT has more challenging content. I just about became tired with all the quick kills on mobs that just stand in front of you with 1 hit every 3 secs.
I would like to see also open world content, which encourages the use of any other gear except zerker.
Hi everyone. Anyone having trouble getting the Luminescent Strap? Is it collectible only once per account? I seem to have lost this item in my inventory and now I can no longer exchange the 3 stacks of Perseverance for it.
I noticed the same too. It happens with dialogues from the previous releases as well.
Yep, this sweet September patch fixed it for me as well. I can see the GWAMM title now.
Thanks Gaile not only for the huge support, but also for being the perfect distraction :P
And to make things even sweeter I noticed this while watching the ending credits of the game for the first time. Quite the epic moment
Thank you Gaile. I was just about to ask for an update and you beat me to it
I will be checking the next patch notes for anything GWAMM related, cause you know, this is the only thing we “Gods” should be interested in anyway
I managed to do it similar to robertdq.1497.
I chose to go with Braham, then on the way to the cave near the tower there were 2 tendrils and a thrasher that I killed. When I saved the caravan I went outside to the tower again and there I ordered only the 2 guys down. I left the one up on the tower for last.
I then jumped into the river to save the transformed one that was fighting with the thrasher. After that I went up the hill to save the 2 guys on the ground. After that I followed the river all the way north to save the one in the river there.
Finally I returned to the tower near the cave to order the one at the top.
I didn’t seem to have trouble this time. I was not in a hurry too. So I think the important part is to leave the one up the tower so you can quickly jump into the river and save the transformed one from the thrasher.
Hopefully this helps someone
Thanks for the attitude and attention Gaile. Your response put a smile on my face and would make the wait less painful, being a GWAMM and all
Thank you Gaile for taking action on this if you found the ticket number. In case you haven’t it’s 760757.
My issue is still ongoing. I’ve sent a ticket to support and was told to report a bug in game. Already did that before I event started the thread here in the forum.
Gaile, is this an old issue or only recently people started to report it? Keep us up to date please. Thanks
Just did it. Thanks Gaile
Hello,
I have achieved the GWAMM title in GW1 recently and it does not appear in GW2 at the moment.
I have tried to talk to Kimmes the Historian in both GW1 and then on GW2 and this did not change anything. All of my other rewards are there.
Can you help please? Thank you.

Just wanted to say. I love how in the new area there are enemies that use stealth, engi area control and even some ele scepter skills.
Thanks GW team. I was waiting for that
Sorry to hear you stopped playing. I also loved GW1 for its darker atmosphere. I kind of miss this here.
If you log to play again, even though you like to play solo, feel free to find me
Well there is challenging and there is frustrating content. I hope if these are implemented, it would never ever push the game into the frustrating side of things.
Challenging:
The first attempt with other people on any mission in GW1 from Thunderhead Keep forward with only Prophecies skills.Frustrating:
Using only henches on any mission in GW1 from Thunderhead Keep forward with only Prophecies skills.
Ah those henchies
I remember what Underworld was when only Prophecies was out. Actually I do not promote something like this. Obviously they made the game more accessible in terms of difficulty, which is fine.
I just love making builds in this game and correlating that with other players so there is synergy. This is something the game has potential of, however doesn’t focus on it at all.
Or I don’t know, maybe I’m just being slow and nostalgic
Just to add. Apparently this guy likes the game for the same reasons I do. Cheers to that.
For a while now I have been thinking to open a topic for this. I will try to keep it short, but hopefully people will understand the foundation of what I am trying to say.
I’ve always loved GW because of its build system. Not only me I hope. This made me have fun so much in the original game. Now in GW2 they developed a brilliant build system yet again, however as we all know this hardly gets utilized in PvE.
For me zerker is ok, condi is ok, they don’t need to be balanced further. What the game needs, at least for me is more challenging and unique encounters with enemies. Just to give an example, remember GW War In Kryta, where mobs had improved builds and combinations and fights were pretty though at times.
So just to give a few suggestions:
1. Improved AI for enemies or just specific ones maybe. They should be able to do AoE scatter like in GW and just be…less dumb hah.
2. Manage LoS stacking better. There should be penalties for that since as much as it is effective it just makes the game not so fun.
3. Veterans and above should have specific special abilities that will make them unique and interesting to counter. They actually do at the moment, but who ever notices this? Remember how Diablo has those enchanted mobs with sometimes pretty ugly combinations? Not only this will make the game a bit more unpredictable, most of all it will encourage build diversity.
For example if a dungeon is filled with mobs that take less direct damage or reflect it, this will require a bit more condis and support. If mobs are more mobile they will require kiting and control so to maximize DPS on them etc.
Of course adding more challenge is meaningless with the way the loot system works, but I guess that’s another topic of discussion.
In the end the build system in this game (again PvE specifically) should be more abused for what could actually do. Things like protection, regeneration and retaliation are pretty much meaningless when everybody runs zerker and relies on dodge, reflection and other damage mitigation in order to survive. There is no need for any trinity or whatever in this game and there never was. Parties and classes should be picked according to what they actually do best. At the moment everything gets whooshed and blurred in a huge mess of DPS and there is no interest in coordination between different classes. Poor rangers stand in the corner once again.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see some nice comments
Very well said Hayashi. Really this game encourages you to have different characters with different profession. It has been like that since the original Guild Wars.
To the opener, just try them out. It’s interesting how you pick your profession based on survival mechanics, however I think you can only realize this after you have tried the profession itself. This is because survival for you is often determined by your play style and not simply your cooldowns or traits.
With this said you may just find the profession that excites you the most when you play and go with it. You’ll figure the survival mechanics out, no doubt
Can I join [NoGF] even though I do have a gf?*
