ANet acts as if they don’t want customers.
Bugs get you banned, bugs cause you to loose stuff. Usually you are compensated when you buy a broken product. Or at least you get a new one.
All these bans are just bad marketing for them. And they serve no purpose. Bugs will be exploited. They should reinforce positive behaviour. So you report a bug. IT doesn’t get fixed and you don’t get a thing for it. Why bother reporting?
I say reward players for reporting bugs. I say RESPOND to players who reported bugs and helped solve em. Punishing like true dictators won’t work.
And posts like this are killing my confidence even more. I have been a victim of bugs a few times now and I have always either lost loot (empty chest at the end of the dungeon), or gotten my gear broken which costs me money. Never got any response or compensation.
So they make bugs, then they try to cash in bugs on our broken backs. I like this 100% pure capitalistic approach more and more.

Yes, this happens usually shortly after 1am.
Happened like that to me twice already.
But today I did it at 3:30 am and it happened again. To me and to at least one more guy just after me!
This is clearly not true.
I had 1500 hp when I completed the run, that is around 10% of my hp.
I am quite disappointed… and I was promoting this game to all my friends.
There are quite a few topics regarding this too. Any official response?
Same here.
Happened the second time now!
So I finished the puzzle in 4 consecutive days and I got awarded the “daily reward” exactly twice.
How is this fair? Can I even get an answer please?
Well its simple. This is called “power creep” and is imho the worst part of all MMORPG’s.
Initially I was hyped by GW2, but now I find more and more they destroyed with the second installment (from the features I enjoyed in 1st):
- interface customizability (cant play normally at all because of this!)
- servers/worlds (can’t play with all my friends because of this), and the funny part is game doesn’t need em! we have instances anyway…
- skill customizability is less than it was in some areas (number of skills)
- character customizability is less (only 1 class)
There is a few more I can’t remember right now and the last 2 I can live with since other stuff complements/replaces that. But mentioning that they in fact will resort to power creep in due time has me considering. And yea, I am a discerning customer. I do delete games. I do a lot of negative/positive propaganda regarding games I feel strongly about. I might sway 10 people or 20. Also I believe I speak for a minority here, but it is a vocal minority =) Power creep = bad.
Yes, Linux needs STANARDS. And don’t mention posix. There are so many non-standard additions and subtle differences… freedom does not equal zero order – the linux crowd doesn’t seem to get that. And I am a long-time linux user, just can’t get myself to ever use it at home again for all the problems. Maybe in a few years if adoption rate gets up and this would be a really nice boost.
I agree ,also the notification is just not big enough. So make it obvious when the restarts are, give us some calendar or something and also notify 1-2 hrs in front.
Maybe would be ok if you could just relog and resume where you left (freeze status for 5 minutes after restart?).
Yea, aggregating 100k or 1M people into a single list is bound to be useless.
But we still need some UI customizability! GW1 had so much of it GW2 feels like a different franchise. Is anything planned in this direction? Anyone has any links regarding this GUI?
Not sure if I am just dumb and can’t find it, but there doesn’t seem to be ANY customizability of the UI…
I kinda expected moving from the first gw to the next to have similar degree of UI customizability. Now I have a huge screen and tiny itty little bitty windows. Even resizing of items is very limited, placement flexibility is non-existant.
Would be really nice to have something of what gw1 has.
