Clarification would be nice that way I can just make a few legendaries and sell em to get rid of my gift fortunes instead of waiting.

I just want to know if gift of fortunes will be used with Mystic Tribute or if it would only be useful to craft old legendaries.

I’m cool with it. I got way too much gold and it saves me time instead of running the repetitive paths which I have been doing for years.

Would there be more use for this material during heart of thorns? If not would there be some sort of conversion available, where we could upgrade dark matter to dark energy?

I got all the mats for less than 150g. It will only cost over 200 if your buying damask overpriced on tp.

Can we get an gem store item which makes items account-bound?

As long as Legendaries are separate to pvp and pve I’m happy if not it’s going to be a mess.

This seems to be confusing you, so I’ll elaborate: tanking doesn’t mean every single person on a server decides to tank.

As already has been posted, the server meetings for Deso suggested that they drop out of Gold League to avoid having to face Vizunah during Season One (something I’ve already said I can totally understand; nobody wants to face that server, just as I imagine Underworld and Fort Ranik have no particular wish to face Gandara or Desolation).

A co-ordinated ‘effort’ by major WvW guilds to take it easy during the pre-Season will lower your rating, while a co-ordinated effort by major WvW guilds to play as hard as possible will raise it.

You still haven’t proven anything. Can you prove that such a meeting took place? Anyone can claim anything in this thread doesn’t make anything facts til it has been proven.

I see your totally mad, your server did the exact thing we are doing and they were better at it until Tuesday ( If you guys are able to compete with us at that level and even be better than us , aren’t you guys gold league material as well then?) when i guess you guys gave up. The reason why desolation is pulling ahead now is FSP is way too weak, they provide free ppt. With AG and AM, they could cap their stuffs back and not let desolation keep free pts for several hours.

FSP too weak eh. Thank your oceanic Pain Train karma train who’s strong opponent is a Veteran guard. PT zerg is so bad, any equal number of pugs can wipe them. Sadly FSP or even mighty Gandara don’t have coverage at 7 am. Last night, late, we repelled 3 consecutive attacks on FSP garri simply by wiping you, including omega rush and 2 way attacks. But we lost it eventually as people went to sleep at 3 AM. So my friend, enjoy while it lasts. Get your silver dolyak, and then, really hope you guys get rolfstomped by Vizunah and Baruch once the leagues are over.

Want tissues?, before you go and call other guilds bad you might want to look at your own Guild you guys posed no challenge to us at all. But i would like to thank Yakslappers which is probably the strongest guild i have faced during this match up.

deso – gand – uw
rs – bb – deso ( bb is bottomline golden)
er – js – deso
bb – am – deso (strange you easily beat during the league and bb is bottomline golden)
sfr – kodash – deso (kodash was actually silver league ranked at that time)

And that was about the time season got mentioned by Anet. So don’t come here mentioning you got golden rolled when you faced silverers as well and lost to them.
And the only reason you beat us in the last week was because the rank was already deteriorated enough by then to avoid golden!

Seriously I’ll repeat this: We did not drop on purpose, we spent months getting steamrolled by Gold League servers like Vizunah and we lost rating points BECAUSE of the rating system, yet there were people working hard to prepare ourselves for the Leagues – even through the drama of Guilds leaving us.

We lost a whole lot of wvw Guilds who left for their own reason, but we only half expected a big PVE influx which has stuck around as we’ve had the momentum; those who want to win the Silver Dolyak and whatever crap you get for winning your League.
Credit has to go out to our commanders for putting up with some of our pugs and taking up the mundane task of night capping/PvD, cause I wouldn’t be able to do it.

There are people who will never have it easier though, once we go back to normal match-ups against “Gold” servers and once there is no AP or rewards to play for, we’ll probably deserve to be a “Silver League” server or one of those servers struggling at the bottom of the Gold, so we’d be a “Golver” League Server (or something..)

We were a truly a strong server back when we were fighting SFR and Vizunah all those months ago, now we just rely on our PUG population to keep up their motivation or for us to find an incentive to get them to learn to play outside the comfort zone, cause which Guilds in their right mind would transfer to us for 1800 gems and with our queues?

The state of wvw doesn’t allow that and the state of our matchups hasn’t allowed that either, because PPT is a flawed system; you can understand why there’s so many Servers that don’t bother playing for it, cause of the need in coverage that skews the score.

During prime time, it’s led to some poor organization and queues, against servers with the luxury of having much more Guilds and no queues to fill a map!

It’s all about the Leagues though which has only brought about more heated debate among communities, who’s fault is it at the end of the day? ArenaNet’s for poorly implementing Season One, while wvw is still imbalanced.

Also what on earth are these Toxic PVE things doing in wvw? Seriously?

If only I was bothered enough to find and quote the numerous Deso players admitting to tanking xD there are a couple in this thread tho iirc, but if I scoured the last few matchup threads I’m sure I could find more.

Tbh I haven’t logged into this matchup yet, and I wish I could say it was from Deso hate, but it’s not, so I won’t. I just wanted to feel as if I was involved by joining in the forum war, shots have been fired.

A few random players saying it doesn’t make it fact nor proof. But I’m sure a intelligent man like you would know that:). Real reason we are in silver league is due too many of our active wvw guilds jumping ship and nobody willing to command during those times except from the wvw guilds which were left. But it’s up to you to believe whatever .

Making Dark Matter trade-able will solve all issues. That way those with excessive can sell theirs and those who do not want to rely on rng can buy it from tp.

I guess there’s someone mad about Aurora Glade obviously being the Server with the best prime time in this match up and maybe aswell in this whole Silver League.

In my opinion Anet should try to balance WvWvW a bit, even if they told WvWvW wont be a balanced game mode.
They for example could let the prime time ticks count more than the ticks during the night or morning.
That aswell would prevent domination through night capping guilds from other regions.

But hey… It’s Anet. They wont ever balance anything tbh.

If you don’t like the way wvw is run make a good suggestion in the suggestions section and I’m sure a dev would look into it. Back in my day, prestigious skins were the ones you would get from beating hard, challenging content. Funny enough there will never be any of this in guild wars 2, because 1) there is no hard content, 2) good looking skins will always go to the gem shop.

I think they should make it tradeable, this would make it easier for the people who do not want to rely on rng to get it, and it will help people who have excessive amounts of them to sell it to those who do not have enough. Specially that ascended armor is coming out soon.

Only thing that AG can be proclaimed the “winner” of is having a low achievementhunter population.

Our PvErs already got their achievements done so they are no longer filling up the queues. The first week nobody could get in, but thankfully our PvE guys are very efficient at what they do and finished up the achievement hunt in a short amount of time.

AG is after all a very high population server with a large PvE player base. But it’s good that they don’t do much WvW, otherwise nobody could get in. You guys need to do a better job of helping your PvE population get their achievements done so that they are gone!

Would’ve been interesting to see Deso vs AG on the first week of the season, we had queues even at 8AM.

Thanks for clarifying that you guys don’t have issues with ques, but you can’t possibly compare the population of AG’s pve community to Desolation we are probably the highest populated pve server in Europe so it’s natural that it’s going to take us longer to get rid of the pve community who are doing wvw solely for achievements without helping us at all..

Edit 3: There is no way you can compare pugs from AG to the pugs of Desolation. No its was a boring matchup. Yes, this constant whining on the forum is still pretty childish.

Once for all times, maybe you should explain it on Desolation forums or bring it to your TS so you dont have to ask on every page again. Prime time on EU servers is when most people come back from work/school/university, go to the grocery store, have a nice dinner and go play some GW2. It starts around now (~19 GMT) and ends when people go to bed. Its not 4-7 am in the mornings when people stand up to play their “shift” before they do all those things.
Dont come with the “but people work at nights and we have americans” argument. 1st group is really small and the 2nd group should go play on their own servers. Maybe then they wouldnt have this giant population drop after t1…..

I dont care if you play your shifts at 4-7 am, I dont care if you brag with 600+ ppt screenshots from 5am in the morning. However I do care about action in prime time. And this is where you fail to deliver. Thats why people are so mad.

Yet they are ignorant to the facts and have no reason to be mad. This is world v world ( 24 hour battlefield). Nobody cares about ppt, we are one of the biggest pve servers and we have a lot of pugs who are not willing to listen during those times and come wvw solely to do achievements and not help out at all ( Mostly during PPT where most people finish work/school etc to come and play), but meh that doesn’t even matter point is even without having organized guilds being able to get in during ppt we are still winning as a whole. Every matchup prior to this the oppositions had equal numbers during morning/night, and i can guarantee you that there is not as many people during the night/morning as you guys claim there to be and we had a lot of fun playing those servers since they were a challenge at all times. Regarding coverage, yes we have more coverage than your server but so do those other servers in the silver league, it’s not our fault that you have a population of a bronze league server. Your server is one of the only servers along with uw who cannot provide the numbers which is not our fault. If you don’t like the design of wvw being a 24 hour battleground quit or make a suggestion to anet to change it ( This is not aimed at the user quoted but to everyone who is mad). But the whining here is pointless since we are doing nothing wrong as a server but yeah for all those organized guilds wanting to fight a organized deso guild, PT will be doing a guild rush tomorrow. For time/borderlands info whisper Ins or message him via forum.

PS: World V World is not always about having good organization “at all times”, you need numbers as well and you cannot be better than a server if you don’t have the numbers to compete against them.

You dont get it, we dont care about PPT, nor do we care about your night crew, we arent complaining about how you are winning due to coverage =) we are talking about challenge during prime time, other than that, when you having people saying apparently you are the “superior” server, we love to see your “superiority” when we are playing which is during prime time hours, which isnt showing really. Mostly so that we could have server who provides entertainment (read fights), when we´re playing and not at 6am.

Apart from reset i´ve been on 2 raids this week, both started really really slow, untill late at night ( well late from my perspective, towards the end of usual eu primetime anyhow) when deso blob comes out and starts to offer some action.

If you read the thread you will know why, and wvw is a 24 hour battleground if you can’t fight at all times maybe you guys should think about going bronze since other silver league servers can provide same numbers as us during those times and it’s pretty ignorant that some of the people from your server think they are better because they dominate at the times you guys can get in organized guilds while we can’t.

It’s called world vs world for a reason.

VCY cry more as a guild, I’ve never seen such levels of emotions and ignorance in a video game. AM, Gandara have pretty much the same coverage as us , but you guys held your own against them, like they did with us, but in our current matchup your server can’t seem to be able to hold your own at all times which is not our fault (that we are better during those times) , and ppt is the time we are less organized because that’s the time most pugs come wvw so there is no way we can get a whole organised guild in there at that time. Be proud of farming pugs your guild is so pro man, you must be the best because you can kill pugs so easily with a organized group i have never heard of such a thing being possible at all.

Regarding your reply to ins, he clearly stated that he couldn’t get his whole guild in due the issue we face with pugs, and they pretty much nearly wiped you guys in your own keep with less numbers so i wouldn’t brag much about it lol.

So, we’re losing to Desolation, a lot of us saw it coming. Regardless of the reason and setting excuses aside i’d like to thank them for the fights we have had so far. Had some pretty interesting scuffles and the amount of loot bags they have left me the past few days is incredibly generous.

Joking aside, yes Desolation have more coverage than us, so do other servers (Gandara and Abaddons come to mind, they seem to have good numbers round the clock).

No reason to complain about it. The coverage subject has been around since we first set our little cotton socks in WvW and it’s hardly the fault of Desolation that we haven’t recruited any guilds that could help us with our coverage issue.

I think this is what I distilled this thread down to.

Pretty much sums up this thread, AG is a joke anyways, and the only reason they are doing good in prime time is because we can’t get in our wvw guilds since the borderlands are always full. If it wasn’t for that we would be dominating in prime as well. If all the previous silver league servers we played managed to get similar coverage against us during morning/night then i don’t see the issue.

Could we have a increase from 5% to 10% for zealous blade like you guys upgraded the damage for powerful blades
