When the relink timeframe poll concluded the devs stated the first relink would occur on the 24th (today) and would then be done every even month on the last friday of that month. So the next link will be August 26th.
The OP isn’t complaining about boons themselves (if I’m understanding them correctly) they’re complaining about a particular zerg comp that results in stacking 10 minutes (or more) of basically every boon in the game. Resistance and quickness only stack up to 30 seconds or so because they’re more difficult to pre-buff. Boons have caps based on stacks, not duration. Its why as a herald, you can have “permanent” swiftness, but it never stacks up past 40sec or w/e. The issues this brings up is that when a group engages another, one having 10 minutes of protection, regen, fury, swiftness, retaliation etc, and the other doesn’t you have a very lopsided fight. Is it unbeatable? no. But its not conducive to a healthy environment. There’s a reason that when this comp first popped up that the GvG community informally agreed to not use it. It just isn’t fun and leads to brain-dead game-play where proper cool-down management and positioning just isn’t as important anymore.
Rather then nerfing boons themselves, Anet just needs to have a look at the mechanics that allows stacking boons to such a high duration and rework it.
Ran into this earlier today when I was looking around at guild upgrades. The only way to get them currently is the pvp reward track which i don’t feel is viable in any way shape or form. It would take my guild 5-6 completions of an entire reward track each person to maybe get enough bags to get the first tier upgrades that require them. which is just ridiculous. Unless theres a hidden camp of lvl 80 centaurs running around, theres literally no options.
Ran into a pretty game breaking bug for this, EBG seemed to have crashed, booting me and most everyone around out of the map, when we logged back in, our party UI had broken. We cant leave the squad can’t remake the squad, can’t remove people from the squad. Can’t join parties or anything really, we’re simply met with a “The player or channel was not found” Error. Restarting the client entirely fixed it, however.
The main “issue” if you want to call it that is that EU has 10 “Top” servers with rating all within 100 of each other, and since 10 isn’t divisible by 3 1 server gets to be the bottom of the top for a week, generally speaking one of the lower servers of the ten takes that spot, but there’s always a chance that one of the higher servers takes that spot for a week. Its technically possible for SFR to take that spot from time to time (granted the chances of that are absurdly small, but the chance is still there)

Ratings are always drastically off right after reset. give it a few more days and the ratings will stabilize to a more “normal” number. (ie: you wont be losing so many, and sbi wont be gaining so many, unless of course you guys tank your match and sbi stomps in their match)

Yes im pretty sure you only recieve credit if you are still on the map the rush was on when the timer expires. My guild participated in a guild rush started by another guild (we had the same rush location as them) and after the 30 minutes expired a pop up asked if i wanted to accept credit for my guild for that rush. If you start the rush yourself it doesn’t ask you that but someone still needs to be there to “accept” the reward.

Some of my guildmates have gotten 2 laurels, one even reports getting three for today….
I’ve personally wanted better guild management tools for a long while. Simple things like listing the last log in time would make “cleaning” so much easier. It would also be nice to know how often someone represents your guild (someone in your guild that never reps is just as worthless as someone who never logs in, in my opinion). I’d also like to see a seperation of certain permissions, like invite, kick, and demote/promote. I want more people capable of inviting others into the guild, but i’d rather not give them the ability to kick others.
Another idea I’d like to see is having the guild message of the day display when you log in because right now, i know alot of people simply dont see it, and telling people in chat to go look at it is silly, because you may as well just type the message in chat instead.
DB doesn’t have an official alliance anymore, there used to be one that has since transferred off the server (which is what resulted in DB’s steady decline) an alliance was started after that called Warstorm but the guilds that started that have since transferred off and someone tried getting that alliance started again, but they disappeared so that alliance is more or less gone. I know of a few people trying to get a new alliance started called Catalyst, but its not going anywhere atm. I also think an alliance transferred over to DB, im not sure from where or what they’re alliance name is or who’s in it or if its even still here or not. but yeah, other then that, no real alliances already in existence
So i ran into a very strange bug today when i logged in, for whatever reason whenever i use ride the lightning or mistform my screen becomes completely covered with my characters texture mapping or whatever those things are called. When this happens i cant see anything at all and its pretty annoying. At the time i noticed it i was doing AC with another ele in the party, and every time they used mistform i got their characters texture mapping covering my screen.

This matchup seems oddly familiar……..which probably means the results are going to be the same. We get crushed during the day, earn most our points at night and stay in this bracket even though we really shouldn’t be here :/

So I’ve been having this problem for the past several days where if i right click an item and choose “sell on trading post” it brings up a completely blank sell window. It doesn’t have a little loading wheel or anything, its just completely blank. I also am unable to buy anything, i get an error saying “The game is unable to gain access to the login server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications or connecting through a campus network. (Code=10:45:6:62:101)”
Now that all sounds well and good but, none of my settings have changed and it used to work fine. If anyone knows what i need to do to fix this i’m all ears.

So i was doing the personal story mission on Claw Island (the second time you visit) and after one of the cutscenes my camera was completely “detached” from my character. Basically my camera was locked in place from where my character was when the cutscene began and it appeared that my character had gone completely invisible.
However after turning the camera around and spamming alot of keys trying to magically fix the issue. I noticed a person down below where i had previously standing and that the person looked remarkably like myself. As it turns out the person was me and i was able to move around as usual, except the camera didn’t follow me.
My thoughts as to why this happened is that i was using my deployable mortar before the cutscene started and I’m thinking that may have had a part to play in it.
In the attached screenshot, thats me standing next to professor gorr. Unfortunately, i was forced to exit out and restart the mission because of this.
I apologize if this question has been asked before, but i was curious as to how conditions stack in large group scenarios. For instance if player A uses burn and then player B uses burn does the burn effect only “count” for one person? Meaning if player B had more condition damage/duration effects would it overwrite player A’s burn, therefore lowering player A’s overall damage?
