I would like it if they add stuff like armor infusion for example for new super hard fractals. But new gear tiers are a no for me.

Highly doubt it since it seems it will have more and bigger zones than HoT.
Still if they go above 40 bucks they are making a mistake especially since we likely wont see any new classes/races that are in most MMOs standard part of xpac.

I could question the “we” in Blaeys declaration. But IMO, the “need” requires more elaboration to criticize. IMO Blaeys need for more information about the oficial standing Anet has about Guild Missions is legitimate. He needs it to quiet an uncertainity that bothers him(her?). I need it too: I need to know if Anet will ever work on Guild Missions again, to feel better, to placate the doubt. Does all this banter about the use of words has any real value? IMO, no, it doesn’t. Blaeys still needs to know.

And do so I. We (more than one people) still need (to feel better and to make choices in our guilds) to know what Anet is going to do about the very stale condition of Guild Missions. Do anyone here have an opinion on the topic?

I never got more than 2 and i got them only in HoT zones…

I am sorry but story could have been much better. What i said still stands you are just rushing from zone to zone tracking prisoners thats 95% of story.

Yes i know we fight him in his mind but it could have been made much better it just didn’t have that epic scale you would expect from elder dragon fight.

Story in Prophecies was amazing but i can understand why some ppl wouldn’t like it because it focused on world instead of character making it less personal.

As far as season 3 goes i wouldn’t know because its not free for me and i don’t have gold to buy gems now or in near future at the rate i am making gold

I hate that it’s so hard to get hero points and the fact that I have to grind several hundred just to play how I want.

After killing 2 veteran mushrooms only to have them respawn nigh instantly, oh and those stupid charging mushrooms, such that I can’t even get the hero points … I have officially reached my breaking point.

Took me 1 day to get basic masteries to move around zone and HP to max elite…

One of the most underwhelming stories ever. Its short, nothing major happens you are basically running from zone to zone searching for prisoners and then you go to lost Asura city to find a way to defeat Mordremoth but instead you only learn that he has a weakness but you dont know what… Well kitten i just felt like all my effort was wasted at that point. Also that last fight what the heck was that? Its supposed to be grand earth shaking fight not some illusion that looks weaker than many other normal bosses. Also there was no epilogue and while i do know they continued it with LWS there should still be one for the love of god u just beat elder dragon.

Whoever is doing story for GW 2 should go play FFXIV and see how a ’’real’’ MQ should look like. And just for the record GW 2 is a game i like more but man they really suck at story.

When i played GW 1 Prophecies in 2005 (never played others) i remember story being amazing.

I have to agree with this. In HoT maps i literally cant leave my character anywhere except on a tree or he gets attacked by something within seconds. Its to the point that i start screaming ANOYING! I prefer more open areas with less mob density.

It’s simply not true that core weapons are obsolete now. I regularly swap between GS and Axe on my Necro depending on situation for example when there is fire aoe around boss i use Axe or when party wants more vulnerability stacks.

Although elite specs might be mandatory right now core weapons are by no means obsolete and they are fulfilling their purpose quite well as supplementation of elite weapon.

I am open to any type as long as it is extremely effective. Not really interested in Raids atm maybe in the future but by that time i will have 2nd gear set. Currently using Zerk gear and Axe/GS combo and i am about to start buying ascended jewelry so i need to decide on final build before i start buying them.

I would be very interested in heavy DoT build if its viable if not well anything will work as long as it is very effective.

I am destroying with greatsword in spvp but keep in mind that if u rely solely on greatsword u are going to have a hell of a hard time.

For me a combination of axe/warhorn and greatsword works perfect and i swap them constantly depending on situation!

As far as thieves go once you see them approaching activate reapers shroud and 3rd skill right away or u are most likely dead and no weapon will help you…

I bought recently HoT and i am still doing first zone and i have to say i love it! As far as difficulty goes its absolutely perfect you cant just spam attack button and watch TV anymore though it was harder at launch from my understanding? I really love zone design it may be a bit confusing but i feel like zones are huge and they are great for exploring.

I think people are hating HoT not because it is bad in itself but because its so much different from original game. For me this is a good thing because MMOs are supposed to evolve not remain same otherwise how can devs improve it?

If i had to complain about something it is price tag (sure its 30 bucks now but it was more at release) and short lenght accoding to reviews.

It is not instanced… Instance means its your own personal game world where other people cant join unless they are in your party. Housing areas in FFXIV do have loading screens but they are not instanced. Also there is no loading screen when entering yours or someone else house.

Personally i would love to see housing i think it would work amazing in this type of game. They could add rare housing drops to dungeons/world bosses/raids to give people even more incentive to do them (i would very much like something like this instead of another gear level) and they can even make nice money by selling some in gem store.

I am trying to get gems to buy living word story episodes i missed and i need around 1800 gems for that so i need a good gold making method.

What i expect from it:

1. It can be slower but without gambling (mystic forge and ecto gambling are a no).
2. No TP manipulation.
3. Ideally i would be making money from active playing such as mat grind or event/karma grind. In that case what mats should i grind and what events in what zones are best.
4. I am lvling Tailoring and JC in case you want to recommend crafting method but they are both around 300 atm and i am not sure if investing into it will bring me profits.

Hello i am looking for a very active guild with a PvE/Social focus to do big events, world bosses, guild quests and last but not least dungeons/fractals with. I am not interested in hardcore guilds i prefer social/casual experience! Guild must have Lost Precipice guild hall cause i really really really dont like Gilded Hollow.

This would be only guild i join cause i am not a fan of multiple guilds system.

Hey guys i am kinda new so i need help!

I got Ascended Greatsword from Tequatl but i want Berserker stats on it so i need to use Mystic Forge to change it and that’s where problem rises.

According to wiki i need to use exotic inscription with zerk stats but i noticed that there are also ascended inscriptions now too so i am kinda scared that info is outdated.

Can i use exotic inscription or will that result in exotic weapon as end result?

Since Season 2 is already outdated in a way it should be made free so that people that buy HoT can make sense when it comes to story. I am waiting for HoT to arrive next week but honestly i don’t know if i should even start playing it or just grind for months to unlock Season 2 first…

Its never a good idea to have high entry point for new players. I like how EQ2 gives u all previous expansions when buying latest one making it easy for new players to start playing instead of calculating how much they need to spend and probably giving up completely at the end.

At the very least Season 2 should be free for people who bought Guild Wars 2 before base game went f2p.
