New to GW2 PVP - character level question

I understand that my effective level is brought up to 80 as an under 80 character but what about gear and gear upgrades?

I am a level 21 right now. Would it make any difference if I was an actual level 80? I’m thinking it wouldn’t make a difference but thought I’d ask. I’m really enjoying the pvp and just happy to slowly level my character that way instead of questing up to 80.

As long as you have actual pieces of gear slotted into the slots (excluding trinkets, doesn’t matter if you have any trinkets equipped or not), the only relevant thing for stats and customization is the pvp build panel (and weapon type, like gs or hammer, but that’s integrated into the pvp panel).

How yould you fix Warriors?

What everyone claiming fast hand should not be made baseline implies:

That we all should have 1 weapon, only 1 weapon attack, no utility and no traits. Every class. Cuz I could use vigor on struck and kitten, while playing warrior. So elementalists and guards cannot have it at all, cuz other classes can also use it! Thief mesmer and ranger should not be allowed to have stealth! Why? because other classes would also benefit from having free stealth.
This is the same, when u complain about fast hands, because other classes also benefits from it… OFC THEY DO. So u want us all to be the same? Neutral? Let’s remove all classes and make it one, don’t u think?

My eviscerates be hitting for 800. My auto attacks do more. I have given up on the skill.
The other day I got vaulted for 9k. I was thinking, man I remember when eviscerate did that kind of damage. Oh well. The past is the past.

Evis has higher multiplier, its simple. If it did less, its prolly cuz u got glance, maybe revenant brief armor thing and prot from ele and paladin amulet, not cuz evis does little damage. And would then do even less in same situation. Evis’ better than autoattack unless you’ve got quickness.
Evis doesn’t become worse than other skills because you decided to use evis the same moment he had insane dmg reduction at that time where every other (non condi) skill would suffer an equal ammount.

Daze bug

You get stuck walking in the same direction entire duration and can’t dodge, essentially a stun. It’s existed for ages. Can you fix plx?!?

And sometimes stunbreak doesn’t break the daze, might be seperate bug tho or intentional

If u solely care about dealing with ele’s like 1v1, and not like in tpvp, then take armored attack, and berserker amulet.

Just auto auto auto auto super hard with axe, much preassure. Then when u have quite high adrenaline, pop frenzy (given u can burst) couple more autos till they dodge, then shield bash, evis, swap, whirlwind. All before quickness is over. And they’re screwed

What are we comparing 5% dmg increase overall with 12.4% increase most of the time?? ( so 275 vs 248 ??)

Or zero escape mechs with 4 sec of stealth ?? (Which is a game changer especially if you were under focus)

And the added precision. Of you are using bezerker AT 1 boost your ferocity by about 3 % depending on how much you have?

What else 60% precision with 54 without it??

Assuming marauder amulet and 10 might without strength rune (ussually more but im generous)
Strength = +16% dmg from power + might duration. And then another +5% from the bonus = +21%
Infiltration: +3.4% dmg above 50% hp and + 15.4% below 50% hp.
Average: 9.35% and that’s being generous cuz people are above 50% the greater part of the fight.

So check your numbers again. Supposed we have 2000 base power.

So its 2000 * 5% = 100 + 175 power = 275 point

2000 * 12.45 = 249 point

Average: 9.35% and that’s being generous cuz people are above 50% the greater part of the fight.

And thats not true, even if 1 vs 1. It only take about 5 sec for a power warrior to drop anyone below 50% hp. (i.e headbutt 100b) or (rampage whatever). Arent we know as the one trick pony class?? Aren’t we supposed to kill someone as fast as possible before they out sustain us?

So the difference between both , in terms of power, is 26 point.

Now lets deal with Might: Might gives you 30 power, with strength you get that every 5 sec. So, even with Might added its only a 56 point difference. And anyone can share might these days, ele can, revs can, etc… so it’s not you cant get might without strength,

In total, infiltration gives you 249 dmg pt, 100 pt in precision and 7/14 point in ferocity (non-bezerker/bezerker mode)

So by using strengh, you are giving up 249 dmg pt, 100 pt in precision and 7/14 point in ferocity (non-bezerker/bezerker mode), 4 sec stealth for 26 or 56 point(if under might) in power?? hell no.

I agree with Fast Hands I feel almost every warrior build will have to pick the discipline line just for that trait and cripple build diversity even more when anet wants to create more diversity.

Nerfs. Elite specs were supposed to be an alternate way of playing the professions, not stronger, nor weaker. Wich warrior and thief is (not 100% sure about thief tho) but far more close than the op ones. Wich means warrior and thieves are actually balanced in the sense they are the strength they “should” be, while the op ones have broken elite specs where u essentially have to play them. Thusly the strong ones should be nerfed to put them in line with other trait lines and warrior and thief.

Just explain why it is essential to Warrior. Any reason you come up with can as easily be applied to any other class. It is an incredibly powerful trait and should not be baseline. You have a trait that makes your weapon swaps recharge in HALF the time, its amazing, be grateful it exists at all!

Warrior doesn’t need stealth, or teleports or clones. Instead of those things, you have the most health, heavy armor, awesome mobility, Cleaning Ire/Brawlers Recovery and things like Endure/Defy Pain, Last Stand, Berserkers/Defiant Stance etc.

Stances sucks, we have no good utility generally… high hp and armor is far inferior to stealth, port invuln, if u disagree I rofl hard at you…

Warrior needs fast hands because of our weapon skills, they’re short physical abilities that let combos with other weapons, best example would be skullcrack…

It’s the same principle that minor traits should no longer be weaker, they should play the role for traits that are essential for that trait line, where choice is redundant or neutralizes the purpose of the trait line. So ppl complaining about minors being too powerful, cuz they’re minors, is just stupid, they should be the strong ones imo.
One step further, fast hands which is essential for WARRIORS should be made baseline, or they make the choice redundant as well, everyone will go discipline. If fast hands is made baseline, there will be far more build diversity (in pvp/wvw mainly). 6 6 6 0 0 ?.

Hello! So far I’m enjoying playing as berserker and havent found many flaws but there is this one thing that keeps bothering me. And that is the requirement of 3 bars of adrenaline to activate. And as a result, I’ve find it being used rather seldom. It makes u reliant on hitting one specific ability, headbutt, to reach 3 bars of adrenaline instantly. Now, of course u can get there by other means, but with a big price. Not using your adrenaline at any point until getting to 3 bars of adrenaline can really be painful, there are plenty of situations where you just have to use adrenaline, and theese are very often, to keep preassure for example, like earthshaker, hell even damage at all. And loosing preassure also means less adrenaline given u don’t use defense line, in order to get berserker, wich most will for dps warr (strength, berserker, discipline). It’s sorta like an evil circle. To get to 3 bars u gotta give up the gain for adrenaline. To add on that, frequent burst abilities is very major in gameplay, you never wait for a specific ammount of adrenaline, you just use them when opportune, for example: The duration on earthshaker isn’t so significant that u’d wait and loose preassure for it, it’s mainly CC-chain initiater.

What I propose instead is that, just like most other adrenaline linked abilities, it alters based on how much adrenaline it is, wich itself is a defining mechanic for exactly this, and, in order to get this buff that u’ve invested for, u must first get punished, doesn’t really make sense. Make the duration of it alter based on how much adrenaline for example (wich makes alot of sense): 1 bar – 5 seconds. 2 bars – 10 seconds. And 3 bars – 15 seconds (wich it is now).

This is just my opinion, dunno if it would be bad, but to me it only makes sense and won’t feel like berserker mode is an annoying chore ^^

It usually happens when we are outmatched in fights but we out-rotate the other team. FYI – you donno how spelling works. Save your hate for posts you actually understand. Are you saying that personal score DOES matter? Because my post is trying to communicate the opposite.

That you suggest to be surprised or find it hilarious/stupid to not be winning despite having higher personal score would indeed mean what I said. Also, how do I not know how to spell?

You obviously didnt read that I stated they are good at roaming. None have a position in ANY meta outside of that.

As a Ranger main, I can say the changes we got are very good, but I would give those changes just to get a GM trait the same as Fast Hands, its incredible. Anyone asking for it to be made baseline literally cares nothing about balance.
