I wouldn’t be surprised if Trahearne and Scarlet are two sides of the same coin, and that both were trying to help awaken the dragon. Take forces away from LA to go after Zhaitan to eliminate competition and let Scarlet awaken the dragon. Never knew broccoli could be so devious.
Well now I hope my paranoia regarding the key parts for Scarlet’s lair gets rewarded. Still have a few parts here and there that don’t add up to enough for a full key of one type.
I don’t always thank people for reviving me, and I don’t expect it from others. Batman doesn’t expect a “thank you”, and as someone who’s supposed to be a hero, neither should you. Besides, it stinks to say “TY” and have the reviver run off before finishing, and the situation won’t always allow you to say it after being revived (e.g. fighting still going on next to you). I would rather the person not say “ty” if it means that person will be focused on completing the task at hand.
However, reviving the downed is something that you should do (as the situation allows) to keep your numbers strong and increase your chances at success. It’s also not too difficult for some professions to slot a revive skill. In the case of something like the Warrior’s elite warbanner, it represents a ton more damage than you can output individually. It’s kinda like the old Resurrection Signet argument in GW1.
Even if you can’t stop to revive someone who’s downed, if you’re a Guardian with a Staff, you can position the downed person between you and the enemy and hit skill #2 to give the downed person (and others) a heal. If you don’t press 2 again, the skill recharges fairly quickly.
Those who stay fully dead while an event is still going strong, however, typically are only hurting their team’s chances at success. In the context of Escape from L.A., time spent reviving you is time not spent rescuing more survivors. Your dead body prevents those downed near you from being revived to rejoin the fight, thereby leading to a wipe. Please waypoint if you are fully dead.
In regards to the Nightmare tower, if you were dead, there was no way anyone who was just trying to run through a particular area was going to be able to revive you without serious effort and risk of death. This often applied to those who were simply downed as well. The only way was if the zerg was passing through at the time. I can understand people not stopping to revive in there, since it was hazardous to do so and people were often just trying to get themselves from point A to point B.
Bah…can we finally get Captain Suwash on the ballot? His leadership qualities are impeccable. He gets complete strangers to take over an island for him.
This looks like the legendary crime-fighting duo of Kraitkin and The Minstrel. By sea and by song, they right the wronged.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Reactor disaster was caused by the Inquest sending people back in time to harness the power of the gods, causing the defeat of Abaddon and an explosion that rippled through time to cause the Reactor explosion. So maybe it could happen?
The election was rigged anyway. I couldn’t find a bucket to cast a vote for Captain Suwash. I hear he would’ve researched the Quaggan-nado fractal and had half-priced crab cakes for everyone.
They should’ve posted the end time much more prominently. The main page for Cutthroat Politics only says August 5th, and the wiki page for Cutthroat Politics (as well as the one for the support tokens) doesn’t mention anything other than August 5th as well. The actual end time is buried on a tips page.
I was voting for Kiel anyway, but it would’ve been nice to know that I should’ve traded my tokens in before today. This also seems to be a habit—is it really so difficult to post the actual end time right on the main info page for the event on the main site and/or the wiki?
It seems to be quite the “Mister E”… :P
Engineer gets quite a bit of mileage out of Shield. I used to run Pistol-Pistol, but the mini flame skill and the glue shot don’t seem to provide as much value as the daze from the shield toss or the reflect + push + on-demand blast finisher from skill 4. Now that my shield is Super, I don’t see myself swapping back to Pistol-Pistol anytime soon.
The Super Shield definitely makes me glad that I didn’t try to make the legendary shield.
Yes, the Quaggan backpack does come with a white back piece. Aside from that, if you have a spare (non-PvP) Toymaker’s Bag, that back item is also Account Bound despite the “rare” colored text and can be used to move a back item skin around.
