Just kite Lupi away from the person that died so he/she can be ressed without worry of being instagimped while doing it.
Better yet, learn the prediction system and just walk, yes walk, not dodge, out of every single projectile he throws at you. Once you understand this prediction mechanic you will be amazed at how you were even able to die in the first place.
Dont bash the game when it is clearly your lack of knowladge and seemingly unwillingness to aquire said knowladge to be good at it, or at least bit above average.
I just fear the game will slowly die without content for more dedicated (hardcore) gamers, we need raiding and it should be filthy hard with great looking bind on equip items. That way the casuals and terrabads that dont want to or cant raid can buy their new shinies from the market for the coins they go doing their casual stuff.
Curious, what exactly makes you more dedicated (hardcore), raiding scripted events, than me raiding the borderlands for the good of my entire server? I play casually, and probably do more for my server than you ever would hiding in a dungeon with your spreadsheets, youtube, and your “dedication”. Maybe its because i perhaps play a little less than you that I’m casual? Maybe its because I find raiding the most monotonous aspect of MMOs ever created that I’m “terrabad”?
Its just boggles the mind how any MMO ever survived without raiding, eh? Since this one will “die” if it weren’t to get it.
Its post like yours that turn me off to an aspect of MMOs that i already don’t care for.
Not everyone likes to play in a padded pvp enviroment that has no risk factor what so ever, it doesnt get your heart racing since when you die you will just respawn or be revived and that group of people you just managed to kill had no meaning what so ever. It is just unscripted and glorified pve in my opinion.
Let me ask you this, why and how would your gaming experiance be hurt in any way if the developers would cater to a huge market which is raiders? It is after all content you do not touch on, but may very well be vital for your game to excist because without the hordes that love a good dungeon the game looses income and without income the game closes down.
Its all business and I played for well worth the money I put in the game, but I did all the content I wanted to do so I took a break and still on a break and will be on a break until they “fix” dungeon mechanics and add in the element of teamplay in pve where you would have to be apart of a guild that works on clearing raid content.
Game is good in many ways and I would love to play it, but when it comes to pve this is a single player game where you can go through all the content in matter of days just by grouping up with random people. SO, ANet wont be seeing a single cent from me unless the game has what I want, good pve that requires people to team up to beat the content.
You wanting pvp does NOT mean I cant have my pve, but excluding one from the equation can mean the game might be on life support or even just die out completely.
I am not asking for better gear, one of the things I loved about this game is that I didnt have to grind gear X to tackle boss Z, now the game doesnt even have that.
Seeing as how you can get double the magic find on daggers, I’d say your assumption is pretty valid.
please inform me of how d/d can get double the mf that a staff provide?
Perhaps through two daggers, both having MF on them, as opposed to one staff having MF?
Sigils of luck do not stack so its only 3% more and youd have to be a savant to notice a difference in drops…
Ah well here goes.
Phase 1 is real easy, shouldnt need explanations apart from kill the worm fast.
Phase 2, always be on the move, when you see the first set of red circles on the ground, change your direction asap, and then change the direction again to run out of the seccond wave of red circles. Try to be anywere but between the red circle and the boss because the projectiles can hit you if in their path before they hit the ground. Its like this, circle the boss moving to the right, then when you see the first circle run towards the boss and about a second or half later run to the left, you will successfully have run out of both projectiles paths without ever needing to dodge, because the game predicts where you will be when the projectile hits and it does so by calculating your movement, so trick it. This gives you all the dodges you will ever need in case of emergency, which really shouldnt be often once you learn this trick.
Same applies to dealing with his single projectile, the one that gives no ground warning, dont have to dodge it, just change direction when you see him cast it and it wont ever hit you.
Phase 3, just keep doing what you have been doing and reap the rewards and finally boast to the other 4 people in the group about how awsome you are for not even being hit the whole fight.
Game really is ultra easy, just give yourself a breather to watch and analyze the encounters, if you are one of those people that cant do that while in full action combat then take few minutes and watch a video on youtube.
Now go and use this knowladge and be awsome
I find it funny that people who see themselves as being reall good players feel the need to kick 1 person because they arent up to their self acclaimed awsome gaming skill status.
I mean really, if you guys were that good then surely you can carry one nub, heck even two nubs if youre really good.
I see it as an extra challange if some puggy is plain awful, it means I have to play even better for the run to finish.
Another thing I have found is that the people that think they are the best usually rage when runs arent perfect, and then they often leave, and then a replacement is found and the run becomes so much smoother.
The difference between an elitist and a good gamer is that the good gamer tries his best to finish and works extra hard if needed and actually enjoyes the extra challange if in a subpar group, while the elitist is always subpar and thus always tries to be matched with skilled people so he himself can be carried and when things dont go perfectly he rages and leaves, pointing fingers at everyone else.
I’m sure someone will argue that its faster with no nubs. Well, if you’re stressed for time then dont be gaming in the first place, it is a setting to waste time and alot of it.

Yes, it is all true. ANet came up with these devious plan of letting people die so they would end up loosing all their coins and would have to resort to buying gems to resell for coins. /s
Dude, its like what just over 1s for dying at 80 so youd have to be ultrabad to finish a dungeon run and come out with with less coins than when going in.
People these days…
I honestly do not understand the whines and cries about how hard dungeons are, I did my Dungeon Master achievement with pugs through and through, only two runs did not finish first try and that was Arah p2 where the leader raged and left, we found another puggy and finished and then CoF p3, them torches can be a pain when people do not listen.
More than half of the achievement I did without red circle on the ground warning (when i started playing I was bit wasted and was going over option settings and must have disabled it, and didnt even realise until few weeks in the game when watching a youtube video). Yes I died alot, quite alot actually, during the time I didnt have the ground warnings, enough in fact to think I was just too bad for this game. But I started getting better and I died less and less each run. I had to rely on visuals and sound for knowing when to dodge.
After I enabled the ground warning again the game felt stupidly easy and only times I died was during a full wipe, having to jump from the pc or being too intoxicated.
So my advice to the whiners, disable your ground warnings for a while, learn to play by actually watching animations and surroundings and you will be able to do any content with ease.
I got to fractal 43 I recall in pugs, very few failed and that was mostly because of random crash by someone in the group and only twice did we have to stop because we just didnt have the synergy as a team, one was fire shaman and other was collussus boss, funny thing is that was lowish level fractal.
I pray to Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and intoxication that ANet doesnt cave in from the hordes of terribads that flood the forums with their whines of how the game is too hard (when in fact the players are just real bad, and bad players usually do not get much better)
that suggestion doesn’t work for me since I already have full 20 slot bags and don’t want to get rid of them
Obviously fork doesnt work for you if you only want to use a spoon.
Youre given a solution that is near perfect, but not good enough for you.
Some people…
250,000 kills huh?
24 kills per day, every day, comes out to 434 days to get the title. That does sound more than a little absurd. Especially for the more support-y and controll-y folks who aren’t set up to throw up a blanket of AoE and rake in the kills.
I would have to agree, that title at least seems like it needs some readjustment.
And as a side note to the OP, I’m not a grammar Nazi. I was always terrible at grammar, but some more well placed capital letters would do wonders in making your post both more readable, and more likely to be taken seriously.
I do belive your calculations are bit off, you are missing some 10 thousand days there. I’m not a calculation Nazi, but some more well placed numbers would do wonders in making your post both more readable, and more likely to be taken seriously.
Thats why it is a fine idea to buy the exotic and rare bags from the fractal vendor, all the goodies automaticly go in there and the craps go in all other bags
Don’t need rangers or revive orbs for Maw for fotm 40+, don’t need anything for that matter just some people with common intelligence, atm at least.
Really? I’m not at 40+ so I can’t judge for myself, but do enlighten me how you survive Maw’s unavoidable agony at 40+.
Only way I know of and has worked once for me was a person jumping over popping their heal and then getting a banner, during that time I and another guardian staggered our big heals so that the person that jumped over was half hp in downed state after the last agony tick.
But only once, timing is crazy.
And even this may not work at 50+.
I belive you can do a fractal lvl 2 run for the daily, should get the pristine relic
Daily doesn’t give pristine relics below level 10
Heh, figures they would do it like that, not their thing making it bit easier for casuals or newbies.
Havent been that low after that patch, but in my mind it felt so logical to give people a chance to grind for 1 guaranteed ring every 5 days so they had easier time experiancing the game. Not like the resistance matters one iota later one, get hit and you are dead.
WHAT!! Are you saying MS took someones elses design and made it their own. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT IT POSSIBLE!!!!!!111
I belive you can do a fractal lvl 2 run for the daily, should get the pristine relic, then do lvl 10 for chance at straight up ring plus the pristine relic. And when it comes to that, you do 26 or 28 and then 30 and 40 dailies for infused rings and then skins from any jade maw daily chest in each bracket over 20, as in 20-29, 30-39 ect ect
You can do fractals level whatever without any resistance, you just need to play really carefully while learning the tells.
But really man, just give fractals a break until the patch comes, its really not worth the hassle knowing the patch is just a handful of days away to rely on extreeme luck of no one being crashed by the game and no terrabad player logging off when you get to a map they dont know how to play.

Lots of single player games out there, why you coming to this MMO and demanding it changed to suit your unsocializing playstyle?
Go play Kingdom Of Amalour or something, there you can run through dungeons all by your lonesome.
When in Rome, do as Romans do, or get the eff out.
Yes, and not only that. I have noticed that when I am helping friends with getting levels up or the daily, I will every time get the daily reward chest after killing Jade Maw and it has a guaranteed ring or skin, but only if I am the party leader. It does not seem to matter if I have already done the daily or not, when leader its always daily chest with a ring.
Most I got was i recall 5 in the same day, not much use for them though.
Some say the smart people took a break from FOTM and the game until end of january patch.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results each time. System around FOTM is broken, you will get poked in the behind by it every now again, both by the game disconnecting random players and then also random players being really bad at certain maps and decide to log out rather than show their really bad gaming skills.
When we get the end of january patch we wont have to worry about random people getting crashed by the game, and the terrabads that log off on maps they dont like will have their names in oh so many block lists.
Until then, its insanity to continue doing FOTM and expecting it to be flawless each time.
BTW, you can easily do most maps with less than full group. One person crashing does NOT mean you have to reset the dungeon.
Still no reply from ANet, sad indeed,
I feel your pain mate, was wierdly planned event.
I dont expect anything, it is more in the lines of wanting to know how they will handle this as it will affect my decision to give them money in the future. Such a shame really since this is a nice game, but being ignored by the creators both on forums and in petitions is kinda pushing it.
They just need to answer with a one liner, “yes you get compensated for our inability to let you log in” or “no we will not do anything about it even though it is our fault through and through”
But ignoring and hoping the matter goes away is just rude, and a really bad business model.
So there is this post about people who got shafted on the event that took place last night being compensated, thats how it should be and is well handled by your team.
But, what about those that could not log in to the game world at all?
I for one always got an error when trying to log in, part from two times I managed to get to the character selection screen, then nothing happening there until a window with an error message pops up and I had to try to log in again.
It should be rather easy for you guys and gals at ANet to confirm this by checking logs and seeing multiple login attempts for about an hour, or until I just gave up.
Seeing as you are willing to compensate others, would you be willing to compensate for this as well? Or do those of us who tried but couldnt log in because of an overload on your servers just have to bite the bullet on this one?
This was originally posted in general discussion, but should have been here since that is what ANet wanted, so here it is and hopefully an ANet official gets a glimps of this and replies.
To the OP, and others with same problems, come over to Emhry Bay (American server) and join Unholy Royalty [HIGH]. We are a non elitist guild and we have no issues with running dungeons with lower level toons and running low tier fractals to help our guildmates.
Can find more info here http://www.gw2guilds.org/view-guild/7130
If you take gaming or yourself too seriously, dont bother though, we are here for fun and not drama.
Thank you Kaochanism.8793, but I had already seen that and it is mentioned in my post and it is not the same scenario as my post is about. They say they will compensate people who managed to log in and do the event, but got disconnected.
I could not log in at all after dozens of attempts so I never had a chance to participate in the event, thus I did not disconnect and according to ANet I would not be compensated even though the problem in both cases lies at their end, not ours.
Slight difference.

I don’t really get how you can claim you have cracked the agro system and can claim that you are the person who can tutor other people about the mechanics if you haven’t even tried them…
You’re putting words in my mouth.
I just wanted to be part of a thread where the OP claims to have done one dungeon and then tells people how the game works.
Truly epic.
I think it’s funny that I know more about aggro mechanics then the people that supposedly run dungeons all the time… Reading, it’s really not that hard!
Since you know it so well, then why are you complaining, you are after all known in the gaming commuting for your uber skills since 2002 right? Now go use your knowledge and skills and stop trying to force the game in your no skill trinity way of gaming.
Elitists like you always crack me up. Specially the ones that have barely even tried the content and yet are experts in it.

Either move to or find a guild on another server, as in, if you are an European then move to American server.
