I agree, I’ve gotten 100% in Orr and I never want to go back. Difficulty isn’t an issue as I can navigate without dying. It’s just annoying and frustrating to be chased 90% of the time. All I can do is sigh and hope I don’t dump this massive train on someone else. Orr is poorly designed, the proof is in the high amount of frustrated players.
I use waypoints like a madman (I’m level 80) and I honestly don’t notice any sort of detriment to my finances.
I literally don’t walk anywhere and the costs, to me are fine.
Go eat an Omnom Berry Bar, do a dungeon, go do events, get your daily. Also, are you in a guild that loves to give mf boots?
Making money is easy if you know where to look, and if you knoe how to make money the travel costs become irrelevant. To be blunt, how fair we perceive these costs to be are in direct correlation to hoe good we are at making it.
Edit: Also, in the time it took you to write your post you could of made enough money to warp at least three times!

Has anyone noticed that if you cast it before volley it will deflect but if you get sanctuary off after volley has started it doesn’t work?

What? The 5 skill on the shield is an instant aoe that interrupts. That alone can change the flow of battle. I’m getting close to my dungeon master title, and I can honestly say this offhand is amazing and should not be changed. A block will save you; a utility aoe will save your party.
Example: In TA with those Nightmare hounds. Party member A has been knocked down and is being mauled by 3x hound. Just roll in and pop 5. Proceed to win encounter because primary DPS did not die. You are now a hero.
Edit: And why the hell does anyone even want a block on a shield? We have Aegis for that and if timed correctly it works amazingly well.

I’m big on dungeons so most of my opinions on the scepter is based on my experience in explorable paths.
I flat out hate this weapon. There are some fights that require the scepter but on a whole I would rather bring skills that grant stability if impairment effects are an issue.
The DPS is lackluser ( the cotton balls are stupid) as is the rest of the load out of this weapon.
The real issue here is when we come to an encounter that the scepter could be of use I ask myself if I can scrape by, by using Hallowed Ground or timing the clutch dodges. Why am I even asking that question? Aside from kiting there is nothing the scepter can do that any other load out combination can do more effectively and with an added pinch of actually being fun.
Use it only when you absolutely must.
The thing that bothers me is I work all those days, so I’ll most likely miss them if they aren’t happening when I’m on.
One shot events are a cool concept but I feel like too many players would get screwed out of it.

Anet’s reason of clipping is kind of moot to me; I mean everything on my character clips the kitten out of everything already. If nothing else clipped it would be a valid reason but since literally everything clips it’s not.
Anet, please give us cloaks/caps with optional hoods. We don’t mind the clipping, really! My character has already come to terms with her hair being consumed by her shield.
Also to the guys stating L2P, I’m sorry but you’re wrong. My guild and I usually don’t do PUGS and many of us have the ‘Dungeon Master’ title or close to (I’m missing a few story mode runs).
At this point we don’t find these dungeons to be challenging but just time consuming because of the absurd amount of HP the bosses have.
I would love to see the fights become shorter, harder and loaded with different mechanics. The lava room with lasers from CoE path 3 has the potential to be fun and exciting; but it just becomes boring repeating the same action over for 10 years until he is said. Adding a force field that pops every ten seconds to a boss with HP in the millions is just not fun it’s tedious.
My guild and I just talked about this. Fights are only fun until you get control of the encounter, once that is done the boss should either die shortly after or change phases.
Sometimes when we have a boss backed in a corner I feel like we’re jumping him for his lunch money. 10 minutes of him in a corner getting his kitten kicked out.
Future boss fights need to have better mechanics and less HP.

I run a lot of dungeons as a guardian. Half the time I can’t see the telegraphs for attacks.
And DE’S in Orr. Sometimes I end up just standing there because I can’t see anything for an extended period of time (the entire event if there are tons of people.)

I feel your pain man, the higher I go the less people I see. I’m in the Straights and I literally have not seen anyone since before Sparkfly Fen. Some of the skill challenges are impossible due to the high spawn rate and forget about enjoying group events.
Seriously, where at the people? It especially sucks right now because I am literally surrounded by DE’s but unable to do the majority of them.
I would love to see the average level of players. Am I leveling too slow? Or too fast? Or a combination of both so that I miss the hardcore crowd and the casual?
I’m so lonely.
Don’t bother with using a shield man. The focus is your true friend.
I just tried it out on my server… It took 6 hits using the same message to trigger the map suppression. Changing each message does not trigger it.
Changing zones resets it.Your raging too easily. My testing says otherwise.
If zoning resets this then why even have this system in place? It’s confusing.
Kind of similar to the fact I can zone into the mists to get to LA but I can’t warp there for free. Some kind of time sink ninja middleman. :O

You’re just doing some off topic rant on someone that already has it’s own threat of arguments against it where you feel you are safe from people pointing out you are wrong with data.
I’m not ranting, just personal experience. I’m not going to make wild threats of massive ‘doom’ to the game. In fact I greatly enjoy this game. I’m just stating that every zone I go to is near empty and it’s very hard to find a group for dungeons.
Throwing numbers at me does not change the fact that I feel very alone in this game.
Anyway, the system in place for groups is a bit broken. I don’t think a LFG tool should be implemented but finding a group needs to be easier.

okay, i got a small guild on sanctum of rall and a mumble server. I don’t really know many people so the more the merrier.
I wouldn`t mind having the elites nerfed slighty to make the forms more permanent. I would seriously run around as a bear all day.
I’m certain of these are repeats but I skimmed the last four pages and didn’t find a few of my points there. Sorry if it’s a repost.
• Pet window for the Necromancer
I understand that our minions are supposed to be temporary, but it would help to be able to monitor the health of our minions. Especially when it comes to maximizing dps with the bone minions. Half the time I have no idea they are even dead.
• Option to turn down or turn off spell effects
Often it’s just too overbearing, the effects look amazing but we have to question them from a design standpoint and not an artistic one. Currently they take away from game play by obstructing our characters or enemy attack animations.
• Travel costs should be based on the zone not your level
Without lowering the costs there currently is no major incentive to help lower level friends.. Aside from being an awesome friend of course.
• Boss fight mechanics need to be worked on (open world and dungeon)
Currently open world bosses aren’t very much fun, they look pretty awesome but from a technical stand point they are lacking. It may make more sense to reduce the size of these bosses and make them more mobile. A dragon should be able to fly, charge, chase, etc. I would love to see phases and more adds.
Dungeon boss encounters also need a big rework. I’m not going to go into detail on this one because more than enough people have stated this.
Phases, please? Too many fights break down into equipping a ranged weapon and running around in circles.
• Leashing
Fights can often be very mobile, I have mobs reset on me far too often. Have you considered changing the variable to time rather than distance? Or time + distance? Whether a mob had been struck in a certain amount of time should be a factor in leashing.
