2 weeks isn’t exactly rushing. A friend and I only took a couple weeks to get 80, and we didn’t try to leven, just ran around, explored, completed maps, and towards the end we started doing daily bosses and a dungeon a day. But 80 is FAR from the end of the game. We feel like we just got started.
As for what to do, being new, we found ourselves in diff goals. He started on ascended gear, and I went after another char, as well as we’re not even halfway done with the map even now.
So much to do….and no subscription pressure……feels so nice.
Why….? That seems to have no benefit. I like the idea of account-wide waypoints, but otherwise, what possible reason for this. You get nothing from it, and it shouldn’t even be satisfying.
The waypoint part in exception, I see this as a great big nu.
I just built my rig so I keep 120 basically anywhere cept reallllllly crowded places, lowest I’ve dropped is about 90 though.
Also keep in mind, optimal =/= inviable. I personally like the torch, as it is very satisfying to have a long blue dragonbreath at my disposal. Optimal is just that, optimal, as in the best selection. Tbh, I can’t decide which I prefer between greatsword and hammer, not because of optimal, but sword feels smoother, but hammer has a big smash and a batter up….nes takes home plate. Fast ball aaaand that final smash is a HOME RUN!
I have to admit, the camera, lack of first person, and uncomfortable controls are what stopped me from playing so long, despite buying at launch… However, I did manage to fix it.
I mapped everything to my controller. Everything I do works pretty good, with only one exception, and honestly think anet should consider adding controller support to this game. Its more intricate than most people are used to, but it works well, the sole issue is when using ground targeting skills, its not AS easy to aim. But meh, the games more fun this way, so forget being optimal.
if you like, I could give you the profile (I used pinnacle to map it) and you could see if you like it yourself.
