I want guild halls so badly it is ridiculous. My only concern is that if it comes out in an expansion, that not all of my guildies would be able to even use the guild hall.

In a year or two, when/if they implement halls / housing, I’m sure it will be epic nonetheless. Slow as hell, but in the end ANet provides some jaw-dropping things.

The Multi-guild system is here to stay, and it is a godsend. It will never be removed as most people who aren’t guild leaders utilize it. If people aren’t repping your guild, and the multi-guild system was removed, they would simply leave your guild. It wouldn’t solve anything. Though it does make me laugh that some guilds exploit it to inflate their member lists.

Also, click the second arrow at the top of the guild roster when you initially open the menu. Boom, sorted by rank.

On that note however, the other two management tools you listed would be so amazingly useful, and I would think simple to implement. I don’t even kick inactives anymore because I keep telling myself they’ll release “last logged on” in the next patch, or the one after, or the one after…
Last logged on would allow me to reduce member-size bloat and get a better picture of the actual state of the guild.

The people advocating for improvement of the existing legendaries are obviously those who aren’t forced to choose between bifrost and meteorlogicus. Staff and Greatsword are both used by four classes. Staves are likely the only type of weaponry with as much popularity as greatswords (I suppose dagger as well).

Also, it shouldn’t be so difficult un-kittening up eternity that doing so would prevent them from working on some other legendaries.

I’m a bit confused about what you’re actually suggesting, but it sounds like you want a way to transfer commander status from one character to another?

If so, I don’t really see any reason why not to have an item like this. I seriously doubt that players purchasing multiple Compendiums for multiple characters is going on to any real extent, so there’s not any kind of money sink aspect that would be negated.

I have one friend who has four commander tomes, and the other one has three. They blatantly purchase thousands in third party gold, so I’m waiting for the day they get banned. My point here is that, the people who would maybe buy multiple commander tomes are likely those ascribing to the “easy come, easy go” mindset that comes with purchased gold. Hell, at least its a gold sink for those abusers.

This. This a thousand times over. I’ve seen people complain about precursor prices (at 200g) then get their legendary, and suddenly they are telling people to stop complaining about the 600g it now is.

I’m in the same boat, except I’m also experiencing a significant amount of complete crashes post-patch. It’s actually unplayable at the moment. ANet will release a solution soon I’m confident. They seem to address these issues without much delay.

I’m having this problem post-patch as well. I also had this problem soon after release, but it was fixed a couple months back.

I’m having the same problem. It is reminiscent of problems I had when GW2 first came out, in that my game would randomly freeze. Sometimes I’m able to regain control of my comp, sometimes I have to hard restart it. I’m using a 64bit comp running W7, and normally I can play fine, but after this patch, I’ve started crashing- often.

It makes me sad that my home has (rightfully) become profane.

I’m afraid to think of all the covert nerfs that might have befallen us that ANet unbelievably tries to hide from us.

Favorite: Decoy. Even though it isn’t perfect, I love how fun it can be to use, and how it serves as an ICE button.

Least Favorite: Mind Stab. It is a joke, though, admittedly, an awesome-looking joke.

I agree with this decision entirely, and for a couple reasons;

1. I can hit for ~3k+ a second at 1600 range as a homing AoE, on my Necro, which autoattacks for <500.
2. Not all classes have a reflect (Necro comes to mind.)
3. To all those saying that “if you reflect them, they’ll wipe the user’s team.” That means they are acknowledging that the GiBs of one person can devastate a multitude of people, and thus are deserving of this action.
4. If they weren’t so useful and effective, they wouldn’t have such a militant force defending them.
5. ANet made it clear that they intend for there to never be a necessity to leave WvW. This clearly violates that tenet by forcing people to either suffer a huge disadvantage.

Regardless, it is said and done.

Kaineng belongs to the xfers as it is, but that’s fine. A couple kaineng natives are leaving the server, which saddens me. Regardless, they came here to do things their way, and the sooner this is over with, the sooner it will be KAIN and SoS again. Oh, and the bots.
Regardless, they have done nothing to purposefully irritate the server. I just think they didn’t see that Kaineng seems to have the Xenophobia of its namesake

I really like the premise of this thread. It would be awesome to have just that small boost in combat. The minions are entirely harmful to your success when used as utility skills. This would actually prevent them from being such a bane, while at the same time making for some additional fun.

I think your information network is getting bad reception Smileycube.

It would be really ironic if the most insufferable proponent of “Kaineng Pride” transferred servers.

Honestly, I hold by what Chaster said some time ago; I’m styling on Kaineng. I really don’t care about the circumstances; be they good, bad, or irritating.

I feel that at this point, it is people with a similar mindset that populate ET, and I have the greatest respect for them.

Really, my only regret concerning my server is that I don’t think Dred has ever responded to one of my posts on the forum. I feel marginalized. Dred, up until recently I had to deal with some QQ concerning you. I’ve always found you terribly charismatic and exploitative. And so, I invoke the following inquisition; do you feel that the new dolyak design should be permanent? I know I do.

On, and I was going to complain that half of the posts in this thread are from DRs. I’ve since been informed they are dealing with the reverse (I wouldn’t know first-hand. I haven’t visited the thead – it doesn’t concern Kaineng). So, im going to leave that squabble to others.

There is a point at which we become a bit too strong.
I really want to keep us out of thief territory.
I really like the mesmer. I like how we have so many major and minor traits that flow so easily (and powerfully) into basic gameplay. DE is honestly one of the reasons I started playing mesmer, and it usually accomplishes most of what I need.

I don’t want to feel like I have a huge advantage over others. I don’t want to be able to out-DPS a warrior or thief. I want to feel it was my skill at deception that let me get the kill. If I wanted a class that is easy to slaughter with, I’d roll a thief.

Honestly, I am dissatisfied with the minion variety and concept in gw2 as a whole. I really miss the days in gw1 where you could be an mm and mean it. I really hope they set up a system that allows us to have an army of 6-8, some buffs for them, maybe a heal. It would be what could feasibly revitalize our class.

Every profession gets one skill that is specific to snowball fight. We thought it would be nice to retain some of your profession’s style in the game.

I love it. I’ve done it on every class I play just to find out what the skill is. I’d say some of them are a bit stronger than others, but honestly, none of them give a huge advantage.

Skorse is there for map completion. Spies are weapons only against those who don’t operate under the assumption that they are present. If we had a spy in Dev, do you honestly think we’d have him rep KAIN/KR?

Also, I’ll confess that what he says is true. We’ve made quite a game out of killing you. I’ve given away a lot of gold. Though not recently. You should WvW more Smiley.

Here, SniffyKnight, if you want to know how to “fly-hack” as KAIN apparently does it, do the following:
Combine two mystery tonics, one slab of red meat, and one slab of poultry meat in the mystic forge.

Keep this knowledge sacred my friend. KWBH might be able to be relevant to WvW if you guys mastered this technique.

In all seriousness, I really have grown to enjoy LARP being on FC. I have always enjoyed the generalization that DR has the numbers, FC has the skill, and Kaineng….. anyways;
you guys really are the first guild I’ve seen go up against us that poses a challenge 100% of the time. And that’s awesome. While a lot of my soldiers may be less-than-enthused, I welcome LARP to foil every plan KAIN attempts to put in place. We’ll never get better facing off against guilds that are full of scrubs. You guys manage to kick kitten without relying on thieves spamming heartseeker.

All I would ask is that you don’t follow in the footsteps of a certain DR transfer, who immediately abandoned its former standards requiring skill, and now contributes heavily to our badge numbers.

Ugh. I’m in a better mood now. KAIN will be returning to KBL, but I’ve made it clear that participation this week is entirely voluntary.

Xiir, I apologize for any animosity displayed towards Evermoor. That’s not the intention.
The supposed group of 15 lesser guilds that were tasked with KBL did not appear. KAIN, KR, and sometimes Thor and Leaf, were all that had any number at all in KBL at any time (save the last-minute intervention of you guys when we got back from the jumping puzzle).
A spiteful person by nature, this irritated me. There is no accountability in… well, in any guild that isn’t the aforementioned, WAR, or iSpy. And I’ve picked up the fact that we can’t directly make allegations on the forums, but I’ll just say that NO other big guild was reliable. Some were helpful, but not reliable.

We really, really need this.
When promoting people, the ranks appear to come up in a random order almost, and simply a misclick and my guild now has a new leader that might lead to its undoing. This is horrifying to me, and I really hope that Guild security updates, in this line of thought, become a feature. It would also be nice if we had more options for permissions, such as being able to give someone the ability to rank up/down and/or the power to invite new members, and/or the power to kick existing members. I feel like this current system is just too vulnerable, and guilds could collapse from one mistake.

We’ve noticed the same Chaster. It truly is disheartening to see such promise at the onset, only to have the continuity of it become problematic. I myself was wondering what had changed over the course of the past few days leading to us actually taking the lead.
On the one hand, I feel like DR is never, ever in full force at the get-go. They usually work their way up over the course of the second day. That appears to have not happened this week.
On the other, we finally have some semblance of organization. WAR, iSpy, SoS and krew working in EB allowing for KAIN, KR, Thor and our ilk to focus on KBL. Not having to diversify guild interests across 2-3 maps concurrently, as we in KAIN had become accustomed to, really makes it much easier to act with more precision and sustainability. I just hope that DR doesn’t play anything unexpected this week. Just know that we are keeping, to some semblance, a 24h force at home.

I’m enjoying reading this week’s thread more than usual. I like the drama.

I personally spend a lot more time griping at KAIN than I do leading it in battle (commanders have been coming out of the woodwork, much to my liking), but I’d have to say that, while my favorite battles will always be those with RED or RAVE, the most educational battles by far are those fought against your guildmates Sirenic. They demonstrate the sort of ingenuity that I look for in truly talented soldiers, and I can only hope that I’ll find more like them on Kaineng.
Should there ever be any enmity between our guilds, the only to suffer would be those wishing to expand their tactical gamut.
