As returning experienced player. The whole open world design of HOT is very poor. It seems to be a grind from the start. Not an adventure. You follow the story but you have to grind stuff to go through the story. Definitely not fun to do as solo. Since the launch of HOT I have done 2 maps and only at 80% completion of those 2 maps. It be just nice to progress through the story without hitting roadblocks all the time. This does not feel at all like the 1st time when I leveled and I was in awe in how much fun it was. HOT really is no where as good as when this game originally came out. It is not fun anymore. For a game where the philosophy was no grind. This game has more grind than any other MMO I have played. All it is is farming and grind. I like to do the raids but no one will take you unless you are fully ascended. And to that get there you have to farm materials. This is not fun.

Not sure if you’re serious? Dungeons got stuck on the back burner and the team disbanded over a year ago and with the release of HoT they cut back the direct gold reward by 2/3rds to discourage running them.

Fractals are now the “new” instanced party content they are developing for besides raids.

Actually I am quite serious. I have not played GW2 since April last year and just have returned and I expected new dungeons with a new expansion. I am a bit disappointed if it is only 4 maps of content and raids. I did expect a full content expansion considering the price of it.

I heard new raids are coming in this expansion. I was wondering are there new dungeons since none have been added for 3 years…

I tried using this heal to restore my adrenaline to max so I can go into Berserk mode, but it loses Adrenaline straight away before I can activate Berserk. Not sure if this intended or a bug. Surely Adrenaline should not decay that quickly…

They fixed it. It does state 15%, not sure why you are complaining about something they fixed. Either way the sigil was quite cheap. Change the sigil on your shield to something more useful. IMO it was never that useful for shield before they fixed it.

To the OP, run a warrior or necro.

I main a warrior and I play a guardian and do fine as a guardian. I can beat warriors as a guardian in pvp and wvw. In fact bunker Guardians are more sought after in tPVP than warriors. In pve, guardians are very strong, may not do the same dps as a warrior, but can carry a poor group through a dungeon much easier than as a warrior. I do not even have to dodge and I can facetank most bosses. No way you be able to do that on a Warrior. I have 6 level 80s and the guardian is the easiest to play in PVE. I play mostly my guardian in melee train zergs. With the high uptime on boons and stability, my guardian is much stronger than my warrior and integral part of wvw in tier 1.

The only issue I find with playing Guardian is mobility and range. This is the only weakness I find. Therefore solo roaming is harder, but in small groups Guardians shine.

No matter what may be the strongest professions at the moment. Anet is continually buffing and nerfing professions all the time. So maybe next month Guardians will be the most OP profession and warrior the weakest. Just bear in mind Warriors were the weakest profession in PVP, only in the last month have they become strong.

If you enjoy Guardian, play it. I have not regretted playing mine. I feel the negativity is coming from those who enjoyed playing an OP profession for so long and now Anet has balanced the game not in their favour they are upset. My advice is play what you like.

Can not compare Warrior’s regen with Guardian’s regen directly. A warrior does not have protection and access to the many boons a guardian has access to.
A Guardian is more sustainable than a Warrior, that is why Guardians are better bunkers.

That is good point about the skullcrack HB combo, you are rooted throughout the duration of the HB and open to everyone else on focusing you down. So obviously this is not the best teamplay build for a warrior.

Agreed!!! Mesmer will never lose to a warrior. I main a Warrior and when I play a Mesmer, they are so strong against any profession except conditions, which apparently is the meta game atm.

I use this build both for PVE and WvW. Good both in zergs(even tier 1 melee train zergs) and small groups. Hits hard, good support and good survivability. Not sure about celestial trinkets since they have taken away the MF stat. But still a good solid build. Good in all situations without re-traiting or re-gearing.

Guardians are fine. Very strong in zergs. Easy in PVE. Good 1v1s in PVP and WvW. Only weakness is mobility. Levelling is a breeze. You can actually do AC dungeon on a lvl 35 Guardian.

If you nerf this then other professions need to be nerfed as well, to make them on par with warriors. I find the hammer mace/shield more OP than this.

1v1 it is not strongest spec and phant mesmer is 1v1 spec, but in team fights I could skull crack someone and tell everyone to focus it and its gg. In a team fight warrior with cds is hard to kill too.

A mesmer can escape so easily from skullcrack and when being focused on. Blink and Decoy are two options. A warrior will find it very hard to stunlock a mesmer and find it hard to escape if they are getting focused on. Like you said it is about team fighting. I do believe Warriors are not used very much in high end tPVP, which is all about team play. So why do we want to nerf a warrior when most tournament players believe other professions are more viable. This is the point. Why is everyone crying nerf when there are still stronger professions than warrior?
Sometimes I think Guardians are OP, being able to bunker at a point and place Sanctuary (6 sec), then maybe Ring of Warding (3 sec), or Shield of Absorption (4 sec). As a warrior I can not even get close to the Guardian and then he sits in his protective circle hitting me with the scepter doing burning at the same time. A warrior can not bunker as good as a Guardian.

I think Necros do not have much access to stun breakers and stabilities or they are on long cooldowns, so they are quite weak against a CC Warrior. Whereas Guardians, Mesmers, Rangers, Engineers and Thieves can hold their own against a CC warrior due to blocks, evades, stability, invisibility, etc.

Game keeps crashing today after new patch. I have repaired, updated drivers, restarted computer to no avail. This problem was not like this before and just started happening today.

Can JQ and BG stop double teaming us on Bays & Hills in JQ and BG borderlands simultaneously. Then JQ caps SM whilst we jump borderlands trying to save those two Keeps. This double teaming on SOR has to stop.

Seriously BG needs to stop complaining about double teaming, it makes BG seem like very poor losers. There is no alliance between JQ and SOR, if we did why does JQ keep attacking our back doors. Bloody buggers we are supposed to have an alliance and double team BG. JQ stop attacking us so we can really double team BG. This sounds ridiculous just the same as BG complaining about being double teamed.

Whirlwind Attack going the wrong direction. Noticed today I was trying to get away from mobs instead going in the intended direction it went the complete opposite direction.

I think you need to take a step back, clear your mind and return.

Report the people to ANet or a BG representative. Most people here would report if they could.

Who are your BG reps and what are they doing to solve this? Who is PC Guild? Have they identified the elementist who was hacking yet? Tell me what steps have been done to find this hacker?

Because he was under the ground, it was very hard to target him and report. We have no other way of knowing who he is or providing proof that this incident occurred.

And short of us breaching your bay to actively seek him out, neither do we. I don’t really know what you expect us to accomplish here. Obviously this behavior is unacceptable, but we have no way to moderate our server or the people on it.

There isn’t even a way to report a specific user for hacking. All that can be done is submitting whatever evidence you have to the email address Anet has set up and hope for the best.

This is not the first time this person has been hacking, it has been going on as I mentioned before for over 5 hours. Please do not excuse cheating or hacking in whatever form. Stop defending yourself and fix your crap.

I really do not understand how this is playing dirty. This spot has been known since game released and has been reported to Anet and there is even a forum post about this spot, yet Anet has chosen to leave it as it is. The spot is on both sides, not just on our spawn point side. I use it, I have seen bg use and ioj use it. Everyone uses that spot and your complaining about ppl being smart and using it. Start being smart and stop whinging and maybe you will do better.

You know that is my lvl 8. Who are you to question what I do in this game? I have 3 level 80s and I have contributed loads of hours on them in prime time and off time.

Same to me just now, 3 times I have tried and it lags out and disconnects.

I found a solution. Use Remove Dye on all parts of the dye on your head piece, then apply the color you want and then exit Hero panel and it will keep the dye you changed it to.

I have this happening on my thief as well, I transmuted the AC dungeon helm with the anonymity hood and that worked fine but everytime I try to change the colour it keeps reverting to the original after exiting hero panel. I have submitted a bug report but no reply as of yet.

Happens a few times everyday to me.

I support Anet’s view on Night Capping. Why should anyone be penalised? Why should anyone’s else certain time frame be more important then anyone elses?

People should get off their high horses and remember there is people from Asia, Australia, shift workers and the such who do not and can not play at peak hours.

WvWvW is 24 hours period. Get your server organised, if you want 24 hour coverage, many servers are doing it, there is no reason your server can not do it…..
