Duh! I just gave up when it nailed my 21 Mesmer at extreme range. Thanks for replies!
If you beat this monster, let me know. How many of you did it take and how long?
Unlike the spider queen who is difficult, but was taken down by my character and a large number of other players, this wurm queen seems to me to be unbeatable.
Thank you for the replies. Your answers are much appreciated.
I was having major problems in Dredgehaunt Cliffs because the dredge are immune to blind and they would kill me with ranged.
I want to know if it would harm my 76 Guardian to switch from DPS armor and weapons to Vitality and/or Toughness gear? Also, any other tips on survival would be appreciated.
My Guardian is far too flimsy. I am running 0 15 30 21 0 so have a lot of extra Toughness and Vitality, but all my Guardian does is die. All I have been doing has been PvE clearing regions and taking part in local group events.
IIRC in one of the MMO’s I have played there was a control in the options that allowed placement of the sound on the character in addition to sound according to the camera view. I know for certain that at least one of the 3rd person games I have played had this option.
Thanks for the link, very funny, mucho lolo
Scale armor on the human female has a gap between the chest piece and the leggings as seen in the link below.
http://s162.beta.photobucket.com/user/Putravus/media/ScaleArmorGlitch.jpg.html
This is a level 31 Human Female Guardian wearing crafted level 30 Scale Armor.
This does not show up on the Norn version of the same armor as there is a wide belt that eliminates the gap.
In North East Kessex Hills there is a graveyard that leads to a small event, “Slay Gravekeeper Hammon and the fleshreavers” but Shady Hammon the NPC is not including the conversation choice to proceed to robbing the graves.
Update, late in the day I was able to get the Devil Horns from the Gem Store. I do not understand the lag, but it was short.
The patch notes state we can pick up free Devil’s Horns in the Gem Store. There are no Devil’s Horns presently in the Gem Store.
“Retrieve the catapult parts from the centaurs” is still broken. There is no NPC to turn in the catapult parts. This is in Gendarren Fields as part of the Assault on Ascalon Settlement event chain.
The first post is from September 5. It is now October 22 and this is still bugged.
If any of my characters have teleported at any time since I entered the game I cannot use the BLTC AH function. I must quit the game to desktop and re-log into the game.
The bug is in the description. I did my own brief testing and it confirmed what Kris found. Arcane Power gave me a full 5 charges with the Scepter Fire AA. I tried it with Staff Fire AA and got two charges (a fair trade considering how much harder the Staff AA hits compared to the Scepter).

Glad I read this. I thought it was working as intended and planned to post in the suggestions area. I think this invulnerability bug may be linked to the asininely tiny kiting range in this game. I too have experienced what the OP did as to fighting underwater and having the mob become invulnerable.
In the DE in SE Kessex Hills where you release the villagers captured by Krait there are cages on top of the platform out of the water, the Krait there are all invulnerable when you first arrive. At least when they attack you there you can fight back.
OP, thanks for the post.
Queensdale, Skritt NPC, The Windmill King, is still AWOL at least on the Fort Aspenwood server.
September 29, 2012 and this bugged event has yet to be fixed at least on Fort Aspenwood.
Make initial personal story quests easier to increase player base

The difficulty level of the early personal story quests is asinine. At level 3 and 4 your character should not be dieing repeatedly. I cannot believe that ArenaNet chose to ramp the game difficulty up so high so early in the game. It is like, OK, we got your $60 now we want you to quit the game.
I have found the game worth the hassle of the early personal story quests. However, I would never recommend this game to anyone but a really experienced gamer. And that is a shame because GW2 has so much to offer.
I have an adult daughter who has played a lot of WoW but has never gotten really proficient with that game (I know she won’t be reading this because she would really be perturbed at me if she did). Her play time is limited. Due to the asinine difficulty level of the early storyline quests I cannot recommend to her playing GW2 despite all else the game offers. Now, I suggest that if she ever wants to switch from WoW to go to LotRO.
My suggestion is that before the game goes into the bargain bin, or AN has play for free weeks, that the difficulty of the early story quests be toned down. By level 10 the player is either hooked or not and no further tweaking is needed.
My first character was a human Elementalist and I died repeatedly on the level 3 and level 4 noble human quests. I am an experienced gamer and figured it out, but someone with less experience would likely quit in disgust.
Again, I am not looking to care bear the entire game, only ease up a bit on the storyline quests up to level 10.
WoW has the Barber Shop for hair style, hair color and one other appearance option for a small fee in game. They have a complete makeover available for $15.00. I would like to see this implemented in GW2 but with a lower cost for the complete makeover.
I like the suggestion of easily accessible emotes without having to type out the entire emote.
I would prefer an emote system similar to the Titan Emote add-on in WoW which worked with Titan Bar. You would have one emote available at all times requiring one left mouse click and 14 other emotes on a drop down/up menu (using a right mouse click on the primary emote) requiring only one more left mouse click. All of the other emotes in the game were available using expanding panels from the same drop down menu (requiring left and right mouse clicks to access). A system using only a couple of mouse clicks and seeing what you are selecting on screen is much simpler than the need to memorize a new code. (I would be happy with the code suggested as I could learn the emotes I wanted, I would just prefer the Titan Emote system.)
IIRC LotRO also had some type of clickable menus showing emotes, though not as easy to use as Titan Emote.
On Ft Aspenwood Utcua is now completely missing. Before last night’s patch, his lifeless body was visible with the empty skill point icon above his corpse. Now, no Utcua, no icon, and still, after all these days, no possibility of completing the zone.
This is the very first Skill Point available to those playing Asura. It is on the east side of the south end of the zone, just south of the Durotl Grounds POI.
The Durotl Grounds in Metrica Province skill point NPC is perma-dead. He is just lying on his back with the empty skill point icon floating above his lifeless corpse. I logged out and back in and have checked on this NPC for the better part of an hour. This prevents completion of Metrica Province.
This quest is again bugged. It shows 9/10 Icebrood slain and shows that we should be fighting a Veteran Corrupted Ice Elemental. There is no Veteran Corrupted Ice Elemental at the location.
There is no NPC or anything else in Charrgate Haven where the skill point icon shows on the map in Diessa Plateau. I read other posts indicating there is supposed to be an NPC, Shaman Purda, who gives the challenge. There is no Shaman Purda anywhere near the location of the icon on the map.
The TP is still down for maintenance. I just checked.
The “quest” “Help Cueyatl Escape the Krait” is not working. You speak to Cueyatl. It shows on the map. Every indication is that he needs protection from the Krait as he heads home, then he just sits there doing nothing other than catching flies with his tongue.
Still stuck at this time, September 17, 2012 at 9:30 AM PDT. (4:30 PM GMT)
My separate post on the same bug:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/CTD-after-removing-dies-on-Character-Screen
I have tested this and the result is always the same no matter which character I play. Removing dies on the character screen without replacing them results in a crash to desktop (hereinafter, CTD).
I go to the character screen, pull up the die choices, remove die to go back to original colors, and as I attempt to exit from the character screen I get a CTD. It applies to street clothes and armor. Using “undo changes” will not stop the CTD. I get the CTD even if before exiting the screen I switch from armor to street clothes or vice versa. Replacing the colors in each slot with dies I have prevents the CTD.
Luckily, this bug is far from game breaking.
I want a dungeon finder like in WoW.
YOU are the key to socialization in the game. It is up to each of you if you want to socialize to do so. A DF tool has no effect whatsoever on your choice to communicate or not. The player community will be the source of socializing in the game with or without a wonderfully easy way for the masses to experience the dungeon content. I expect guilds to be a major source for communication like in other MMO’s.
I play WoW with my adult daughter who is on the east coast with me on the west coast. We have fun each time we play. We love the ease of finding a dungeon group using the DF. We do not sit around Stormwind waiting for a dungeon spot because the WoW world still leaves us much to do even now. Yes, we are altoholics. The excellent dungeon finder tool in WoW enhances the playing experience for my daughter, my adult son (who plays WoW occasionally) and myself.
