Hey, I’d love to join. I need the kind of atmosphere where I don’t feel pressured and judged all the time. I feel like a small group of players would be best for that.
My main is a Tempest, level 80. I do heavy amounts of PvP, but I’m also a PvEer when I’m not pvping. I like friendly group activities. Add me ingame My main is named Civil Dawn.
I’m interested in joining the PvP team.
Divison- Ruby
Class- Ele/Tempest
I usually use Staff or D/WH. I can use d/d and d/f, too but I would like to practice that more in unranked.
I mean, anyone could easily get on a separate f2p account to help lower a friend’s mmr. Even if he wasn’t doing it on purpose, it still seems slightly shady. Anybody in Diamond knows how the mmr works, at least to some extent. I think I’m more worried that playing with someone from Amber is more efficient than soloqueuing. Not to mention, 4 diamonds could queue with an Amber and get many Emerald or Sapphire. It just worries me. I just got to Ruby so I’m pretty afraid all my games with be stomps from people abusing matchmaking
So I’m playing a ranked sPVP match in Ruby (I JUST got Ruby.) We’re getting absolutely destroyed, can’t seem to capture any sides or middle. The match ends. Just now, I see that the enemy team has a Diamond player who is duo-queued with an Amber player….???? To lower mmr…?
Is Arena Net planning to add in a system to restrict players from queuing with other players from divisions that are distinctly far from each other?
I have seen other people asking about this, but I didn’t think this was a problem in most games until today. I’m pretty disappointed. :My very first match in Ruby and I’m greeted with bad sportsmanship from some of the higher players…

If you’re looking to play healer in the main raid, you should try Druid, the Ranger elite spec. Besides that, warrior can be used as a support too.
I love Forest and Foefire Temple is a close third. The setups are just nice for rotations, especially with guildies in TS.
I thought it was more about rotating auras?
Also, do people tend to lean towards D/F? How does staff fare against it?
I’ve been using Staff Celestial Auramancer and it does really good in teamfights and keeping alive. The downside is you don’t have nearly as much 1v1 damage as you would with say, marauder. (Unless you’re really good)
Out of playing almost 40 games or so in Leagues since it started, I have seen a total of 2 people who have been toxic in a match. Compared to other games that use similar systems for ranked games, only seeing 2 in 40 games is extremely good. Not to mention those 2 were being childish to each other. Besides those 2, I have seen maybe one or two small remarks in team chat about bad players, but that’s it.
I really don’t see any problem with the way things are going right now. I haven’t seen any people purposely throwing matches, either. The only thing that I agree we need is some balancing of is Elite Specs…. I’m sure you know who.
Same here. Can’t log in after the last new build.
I use action camera in pvp on my elementalist and do better than I do without it. I hotkeyed my attunements to tab f1 f2 f3, and my other skills to q, e, r, etc. It works amazing for me

We need an option to opt out of certain maps for the price of a possibly slower match-time. We can choose our game-mode preferences (Conquest or Stronghold) already, why not maps? I’m so sick of Skyhammer. I shouldn’t be forced to play Player Vs. Terrain when I’m queuing up for Player Vs. Player. There is literally zero attractive features on that map unless you’re a player who would rather win with cheese-tactics of knocking people off the map or camping Hammer. I’ve tried to learn to enjoy that map but it’s impossible to actually fight anyone on that map. I don’t want to have to afk, but I might consider it if I keep getting forced to play on SH. I’ve had so many people agree with me, saying “Amen” when I made a comment about SH. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
When you refuse to adapt hehe…
You go to the buffet line one day at your office and all they are serving that day is faeces. That’s all that’s on the menu. Do you “adapt” and eat faeces for your lunch that day?
No thanks, I’ll wait until they reintroduce my regular meals on the menu.
Oh yeah… “hehe”
AMEN.
Alright, thank you for explaining. I was so puzzled
I’ve never done WvW before, so today I thought I’d hop in and see what it’s all about. To my surprise, there was absolutely nobody there. I ran around the SoS Borderlands map and the Eternal Battlegrounds map and there was not a single (SoS) ally to be found. The only people I saw was a medium raid of Fort Aspenwood players, who then proceeded to chase and kill me. Am I missing something here? Please explain, because I am terribly confused. Thanks~
