Had a few games where ppl simply “left” just after the match started as never came back. Too common to be d/cs. Been reporting every single one but yeah….

Feels like the whole “report” option just goes to some “spam” folder.

This was a good change. At least I can do my dailies while playing ranked PVP on the classes I play and know and not missing out on daily rewards because I simply don’t play certain classes.

It is, and yet so genius Anet might just do it….again xD

Jokes aside, we’ll see how it is.

Critical Strikes seems like the obvious victim since they mentioned or it was mentioned that the spec will rely on positioning plus “Hidden Killer” → Sniper? :-)

One word: pugs. People became so crazed with dps meters, they don’t care that you actually have job of eating mushrooms for example or kill cannons…. or was rezzing someone. I have my legendary armor now so i don’t REALLY need to raid but since Anet blessed dps meters i have less and less interest in raiding – too much drama on ts and too much elitism for my taste.

Well yeah, pugs suck big time, but some are decent and don’t even require TS. I might do a few more raids to get the LI needed for the armor (don’t really raid that much) but I don’t have a high incentive to do it – cause pugs and I don’t care about pve enough to find a static group.

Btw. Saw you in pvp the other day showing off the armor, It’s ok when “out of combat” otherwise, yeah, medium, not so nice

Well Predator of course :-) got that one gift of exploration lying around so might go that way :-) but we’ll see.

Condi Thief is actually very strong right now and has an interesting rotation – try that maybe? :-)

@Cynz – no idea who you are raiding with but most groups (at least the ones I raided with) would never kick you for missing 1-2k dps :P hugging the floor all the time is another matter :-) – dead dps = 0 dps :-)

Basically what the others are saying.

Viper sets will get you two builds – Viper Druid which can heal with the right food and Viper ranger which is v. good dps atm. Covers both fractals and raids. For Raids you can start with exotic trinkets usually and work your way towards ascended, the condi duration difference isn’t that huge.

For raids you can get another set for healing, but Viper Ranger is in such high demand right now you’ll be fine with just that.

Power Ranger (lol) is still good but mostly for dungeons and low lvl fractals.

If you’re on EU check out the Crossroads Inn Raid Training Guild. We do training runs Tuesdays and Thursdays and usually get a kill of sorts. There is a discord channel where you can sign up etc :-)

I’ve experienced my first proper skill lag yesterday. It was quite fun to be able to move but not to use skills xD Hope it gets fixed cause I’m getting back to wvw and loving it again ^^

You get a lot of airship parts from the cargo containers (up to 40+ per from the large ones).

Tarir gives so much currency I don’t know what to do with.

TD gives a lot from caches and the meta.

I’d say AB. Doesn’t take forever like DS, gives good loot on it’s own, even better if you join a multi-loot. Plenty of events prior to the meta which give XP. DS does give a lot of XP BUT you have to do the whole thing otherwise it’s a waste of time cause you don’t get the end chest and I don’t exactly like running in circles in 15minutes if the map snowballs at the towers.

Oh I don’t mind I was just amused when I saw the copy paste posts ^^ Last time I was leveling a guardian in HoT (it’s quite fun to do Dragon’s Stand on a lvl 35+ character xD), I had a greatsword and scepter/focus for the range and blocks. Sword/focus is nice for moving around a bit faster.

Old fractals (most of them) were solo-able and we used to two man them, back when selling fractals scale 50 was a thing.

Players regularly solo Mai Trin 100 and sell it for those who need the achiev. So if one person can do it in under 25 min and some players struggle with a group of 5 they need to step it up The Jade Fractal is probably the easiest to solo as you don’t even fight a boss per se.

Here’s some tips:

1. You can see your “exact” fractal level by going into the “Fractals main area”
2. You can see which fractals you have done by going to the Fractals tab in your Hero Panel and checking out the achievements of the 4 available tiers.
3. You can see the fractals you are able to do (from 1-your personal level) by going to the console where you select which fractal you want to do (shows you your personal fractal level as well btw).
4. I agree it’s tricky to remember which scale a given fractal is at when it pops but basically if you want to do a t4 molten duo for example you know it’s within the 76-100 range (hint from LFG) and then check the console for which scale the desired fractal is at.
5. As far as AR levels, when you select a fractal scale from the console the top right menu shows you how much AR you need and you can also go into the “testing area” to see if you have enough AR (without even needing to open your hero panel).

Most of this information is available “within” the fractals main area ^^

Whatever changes condi warrior had coming already came when the longbow primal burst was nerfed. But if you’re not in a rush, then of course it’s better to wait

Just remember that it’s good to have two armor/weapon set’s for a PS warior – condi and power – and swap them accordingly.

Burn guard used to be a lot of fun pre HoT, not sure about now. Think there’s a build on metabattle.com

It’s good for specific situations. You should check Nike’s video on this :-) It does not generate 25 might on it’s own but in an organised group you should be capped on might regardless.

Auric Basic is gorgeous but the meta event/HoT Story access gating is a pain when I just want to map it on a new chara.

It’s lazy to copy paste a "meta’ build and go into pvp but at least a new player can somewhat make it work and maybe contribute a bit.

It’s selfish to jump in into a pvp group with “oh im gonna test this today” or whatever mentality and make your team essentially 4v5 the whole match.

You don’t even have to do that, there are plenty of training groups and groups with no requirements on LFG every day, I think the biggest problem is laziness\unwillingness to put effort.

Apparently the biggest factor excluding new players from doing raids (it’s the same for dungeons and fractals too btw.) is the unwillingness/inability to click on “Create your own LFG entry”

Why not add a story mode option? It allows all those wanting training on mechanics to go into that and then they only people who will be doing the regular raid are well prepared people.

Go train 5 ppl to on a lvl 10 molten duo and then take them to the same fractal at scale 99 and see how that goes ;-)

Not exactly “craftable” per se but v. useful to get is Princess – for all that Dragonite being thrown around xD

Light of Dwayna is a nice ascended backpiece you can craft if you have some gold to spare (and if you need an ascended backpiece).

Well it depends if you want to level up your revenant by crafting or actually have a useful crafting discipline once you hit 80. If the latter I’d agree with Euthymias – Weapon/Armorsmith will allow you to make your own gear (especially useful if you plan on doing fractals as you can get ascended jewelry quite easily and craft weapons to get infusions to start doing higher tier ones). With weapons and trinkets you can go almost to tier 4 i think? You should get enough ascended armor drops on the way to make a set and if you have Armorsmith you can make exotic insignia to convert them to something useful (i.e. defender’s chests into zojja’s,svaards or whatever your fancy is).

Definately start off with Weaponsmith. Pre HoT my hobby was to get almost every type of ascended weapon my war could use. Gives you somethink to work towards to :-)

(Hint – don’t buy ascended armor/weapon recipe’s with laurels and gold. It’s better to buy the ascended Verata recipes off tp and convert the weapons and armor via the Mystic Forge).

Nope, only Cliffside got an update – shorter, more OP Archdiviner is the higher tiers.

I’d love to join but I usually finish work around 16:00 CET xD I’m online most days but no sooner than 18:00 CET.

Think I’ll start posting screenshots from the LFG tool in these threads because (par example) yesterday I saw at least 5-6 LFG’s – training run/new players/learning raids and the like.

@OP – you’re nit picking at one LFG you saw because no one in their right mind would require you to have eternal for VG UNLESS they want a clean fast kill in which case it’s their right.

As per another thread.

1. Click “Y” or whatever keybind you have for LFG
2. Go to Raids LFM
3. Post a LFG saying – want to learn raids or something alike – you’ll be surprised.

Why is making your own LFG rocket science these days?

If I want a casual run I join a “everyone welcome group” if I want a fast kill/dungeon I join a “experienced/tonic/metazerkviperblabla” group. If there is no group which fits my requirements I make my own LFG. gg wp

Well a healing druid as such is not really useful in dungeons and low tier fractals (high tier fractals maybe if you pug a lot and ppl wipe all the time).

Both are viable and can or should be used interchangeably. You could get some trinkets with more healing power if your group struggles with not dying but you shouldn’t need to :-)

Have you even tried raiding? Like at all? As in – make a lfg, get a bunch of players of your level, or join a teaching run (plenty of those).

I wanted to try the new wing yesterday cause my guild group was full so I just joined a “exploring wing 3” group. Only requirement was to ping insights (no one said how many were needed) and show the tonic which neant you cleared wing 2. Super elitist requirements right?

We went through the first bit by learning and adjusting and eventually got to the first boss. We had some major wipes along the way but no one qqued because we were learning.

So yeah, you don’t need to be pro. Just learn the mechanics. And if you don’t want to learn very basic stuff to do content then you’re just lazy and/or want to be carried by ppl.

Get a group, learn it, kill it.

Why is it that somehow a lot of players magically keep ignoring or forgetting about all those clarifications from ANET recently? Raids are not blocking other content development. Fractals are being updated (cliffside), LS3 is being worked on. It’s not like the only ppl working at ANET is the 6man raid team who in the lunch breaks creates all those recent bandit events, bounties and other leyline related content.

The casual player who is not interested in raids is actually being provided with new content as we speak in preparation for a (huge I hope) LS3 update which is about to hit.

I too prefer HoT would have brought more with it, more maps etc, as I’m not even playing those maps anymore. But I got my replay value from them. Sure I’d wish there were at least 4-5 fractals coming soon cause after having run tier 4 fractals a number of times even these seem laughingly easy not given how RNG hates me after HoT I have little reason to do them.

Also don’t forget naked/almost naked runs have been made and were actually successfull only due to the players executing perfect rotations/prioritising their skills well.

So unless you’re playing condi engie who is also charged with green circle duty on VG there’s no reason for doing bad dps other than a lack of practice.

Go to the dome in LA. Check out your rotation and practice it on the golem.

Unless you’re super lowmanning gorseval you won’t see much difference dps wise but you’ll surely live longer

I run full marauder armor and weapons with zerk trinkets. Stuff dies fast but I don’t if I miss a dodge ^^

I’m more accessible during weekdays though xD
