I can’t buy gems at all, both paypal and credit card give errors
Asura first mentor, sylvari time of birth, don’t effect you either. Haven’t played human enough to notice, but I’m guessing choice of deity has no effect either. You can tell developers biased in favor of charr by the fact that third question does effect their PS.
On the other hand, they gave charr hardest starting area, hearts jump levels so it difficult to level between them, and worst city to navigate. The other racial cities the map shows that there are levels. Charr doesn’t even though there are.

I don’t agree about Rytlock. I think he’s a fool. And I resent my ash legion thief having to take orders from blood legion officer. The only DE member that doesn’t act like a spoiled child is Garm.
OP, didn’t you notice that earlier in the PS your order mentor introduced you to Traehern , like you two never met before? They didn’t take into account some people would be playing sylvari. And I had that same problem with the two I did the mirror quests on, acting like they didn’t know me. There’s more though. I choose to recruit a norn, not the charr. But a later PS has you working with the charr, not the norn, and my character and the two charr act like they know each other.
On my asura I befriended the hylek, but when he reported to Vigil after there was a glitch, putting a hylek and a skritt in the story, both when spoken too talked about me saving them when of course I only helped the hylek. Asura don’t get skritt as an option because they think they’re vermin to be exterminated.

Don’t get many emails from real people. Spambots don’t count and those I report before I delete them.
It was those stupid repeat Lost Shores emails that did it.
I had kept all the emails inviting me to dungeons so I could easily locate the dungeons. I did NOT delete them but they all vanished.
I had also keep the emails you get when you complete a map so I’d know where I have already mapped. All but the latest 2 have also vanished.
Now I have no way to call up dungeon locations or check where I’ve mapped.
Why Arenanet YOU erase my emails?
“I’m six feet tall!”.
I laugh when a norn says that, because it would mean it shrunk.
Quaggan’s a piwate, Yarr!
Quaggan pirate was so cute. Ghost was good too. Only ones I gave candy corn too (lol).
H
The biggest thing that bugs me is how he always says something to the effect of “This won’t go well” when you enter combat… So inspiring, Marshall… you’re lucky I’m a vigil warrior, formerly of the blood legion. I’m trained from birth, I’ll lead the charge, Trahearne, you hang back and wring your hands like the lil eeyore twig you are.:P
You still are in blood legion, you’re were just assigned to work with an order, which led to you working with pact. What doesn’t make sense to me is my ash legion thief being under the command of blood legion tribune. Ash legion tribune should tell ash legion charr to go to an Order and iron legion tribune an iron legion charr, not Rytlock. Personally, I’d like to be able to tell that fool what he can do withhimself. The only reasonable member of Destiny’s Edge is Garm.
As for Trahearne, my sylvari’s “mentor” shouldn’t act like I don’t know who Trahearne is. Makes sense other races might need an introduction but sylvari doesn’t.
Used to actually sound like a horn. Now when my ranger uses warhorn, it sounds like he’s blowing through a straw. Doesn’t make a decent sound at all.
Tried warhorn on necromancer, sounds like an out of tune horn. Warrior doesn’t have one so can’t try it. But ranger horn definetly needs work.

Why do you send out the email and have the inspector tell you to investigate the beach when in fact phase one cannot be started anymore.? I think its mean to make it seem you can do phase 1 when in fact you can’t.
For that matter whats with this phase nonsense anyway? You didn’t this one time event stuff in Guild Wars 1, Guild Wars 2 doesn’t need it either.
Since I can’t post on announcements I’ll post it here:
I sent an invite but my friend never got it. I can resend him the code directly but I can’t find where I’m supposed to tell him to download the client. Do I send him the link to the account page?
I made 5 gold selling the breathers and shoulder pads in the gem store. Kept 1 of each though.
Bought gemes aleary this evening wiith no problems now suddenly it won’t accept my credit card.
I have the same problem and that advice is not very helpful since wont know if the shot fired is the last one, until the cut scene begins.
I didn’t see asura mentor, norn shaman or human priest. Have to look again sometime when my characters are in town.
And for what i read in the posts above, if i join another party, i wont be able to watch the cutscenes in my last storyline mission!! Very disapointing!
You will see the cutsceens but when the player speaks, you will see the party leader instead. Same as dungeons.
No different than Guild Wars 1 than, it was always the party leader in the cutscene.
The final quest ends in the dungeon? I thought you’d do the dungeon then return to Fort Trinity for the final cut scene.
Exiting back to desktop and rerunning the game cleared out that stupid suppression for me. They need to suppress gold spammers not people looking for a dungeon group.
But this bit was unintentionally funny, because Trahearne is such a fey, pseudo-Shakespearian flouncer.
Really, when I was playing my sylvari I wanted to say, “Well Mom, I guess I know who’s your favorite son… I’ll be sure and visit you in the old tree home… yeah…”
No doubt, I just had a little sad that ole Mom acted like she didn’t even recognize me during that part.
Well you know what Caithe said to Cadeyrn, when the Pale Tree wouldn’t listen to him, she said he wasn’t First Born so why should she? Whats our sylvari characters 20th born, 200th? 2000th?
The Arcane Council isn’t any better than the Inquest.
Nothing as far as I can tell. Same with norn’s spirit of choice, asura’s first mentor, sylvari’s time of birth. Only one that really has any effect is charr sparring partner and thats only until you join an order.
I wish the cut scene at the end include some reaction from people in Lion’s Arch.
What nonense. Who came up with this lame theory? It make no sense at all. Its more likely the Pale Tree is linked to Melandru, goddess of nature.
I was just about to do Light in the Darkness on my asura warrior but if its bugged I wont yet.
My sylvari has the white stag and a quaggan in his home since doing story lines involving them. I can’t find a vigil member in my sylvari’s home though. My norn has Minotaur and a kodan since doing those story lines. He also has a charr which I can’t understand. However, I was very disappointed that after all Arenanet’s talk about human choosing to save orphanage or hospital having a lasting effect that it had none at all. Both buildings still stand after I opted to save the hospital. They said the orphans would be homeless, but they’re not. Also I can’t see how asura personal story affected asura home instance at all. Haven’t found charr’s sire in home, but the charr home instance is bigger and more crowded than the others.
I thought he’d sacrifice himself to restore Orr then I did the cleansing Orr personal story and he didn’t die. The only thing I have against him is his constantly saying, “this isn’t going to end well”. Thats right up there with “To the end of us all”. WTH kind of battle cries or those? You’re supposed to encourage your forces not depress them.
Also it was pretty silly for my order mentor to introduce my sylvari to him like we didn’t know each other. Makes sense for other characters but they should have modified that for sylvari. There’s a simliar problem with two sylvari acting as if my sylvari ,who went through the mirror with them, knew nothing about their earlier visit to Orr.
The NPC didn’t say Charr cubs starving in Cantha just cubs, which made me think it meant human children. The Canthan empire apparently kicked out the other noative sentient races, I cant see them letting charr in.
Lost Shores my change it but right now I don’t think anybody on Tyria even knows there are five elder dragons. They never talk about the deep sea dragon. The scroll that talks about the dragons in LA only mentions four. My first character (sylvari) is ready to defeat Zaihtan and I still don’t know why the charr, norn or asura care about taking out Zaihtan first.
Most of the Dredge we encounter, particularly battling & competing with the Priory & the Norn, are the Dredge military— and playing Sorrow’s Embrace (both story and explorable) sheds some light on the current thinking in the Dredge military leadership.
The Dredge military leadership, notably opposed by the Dredge rebels who we support (both in SE & in Frostgorge Sound) is bent on a war of domination with the surface races.
There are dredge not hostile to everybody else? That’s nice to know. I haven’t met any yet, except the one my norn ranger terorized into betraying his leader.
Grenth’s father was apparently the sculptor who made the statues of the gods, at least thats what an agent of the Order of Whispers hinted at in one of my characters personal story lines. Being human he eventually died. And Dhuum wouldn’t let him come back. That may have annoyed Grenth.
Including charr as a playable race changed a lot. In Guild Wars: Prophecies the charr were invaders trying to take over human territory (and they didn’t really have personalities and we never saw female charr). And charr ate humans. Guild Wars 2 comes out we find the humans were the invaders, the charr were taking back their lands. And the charr didn’t really eat humans, calling them “meat” suddenly became just a way of taunting them.
I’m beginning to wonder if Abaddon wasn’t the good one and the other five the evil ones.
Much of what the humans think are historical facts are fiction created by their “gods”.
The gods for example did not create Tyria, though they did try to reshape it. How do we know Abaddon was bad and the other gods good? Because they said so.
I got it. The True Giants, which have been extinct for centuries, were horses!
People don’t eat sylvari because sylvari are sentient, that would be cannibalistic. BTW charr ate humans until Arenanet decided to make charr playable in GW2. Now you don’t hear charr calling humans “meat”.
My elementalist died under this strange tree, and 250 years later a sylvari calling himself by the same name (first part anyway) with a fondness for summoning lightning and fire appeared on Tyria. My very old ritualist left Cantha with the tengu in disgust over the new emperor’s policies and after he died they did whatever tengu do with a corpse.
For awhile my norn ranger had a scribe in his home instance who was writing his story, but she seems to have vanished. Maybe she’s the herald.
In the personal story line involving charr tanks and sylvari sharp shooters, the leader of the sylvari group theorized that they’re immune to being risen after death simply because they are too new to Tyria and the elder dragon can’t figure them out.
As for the nightmare court, they corrupted themselves, wasn’t a dragon’s doing.
I think the “gods” are just space travelers who tried to terraform an already inhabited world. And then when the natives fought back they fled, leaving the poor humans they put on the planet at the mercy of the natives. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…Guild Wars 3 should see the humans join the charr in hunting down and exterminating these false gods who left humanity to fend for itself at the time the gods were most needed, the awakening of the elder dragons.
Personal story results eventually become unreadable. I’m near the end with my sylvari ele. If I bring up the My Story screen it shows “Victory or Death” and tells me to kill Zaihtan. When I try to bring up earlier portions I can if I’m very careful with the scrolling bring up “Starving the Beast” but everything between those two points is unavailable because the screen scrolls to a blank section, no other personal story “quests” are linked.

Airbreathers need to adapt to armor dying scheme. I can dye my heavy aquabreather but it doesn’t last. It just reverts back its default colors, which don’t match my armor.
Nothing in the game suggests skritt or largos are going to become playable races. Though it would be interesting to have an aquatic race that has a air breather and a different set of skills when it goes on land. Turn the game upside down.
Oh, when they do add the tengu I hope their personal stories are set AFTER zaihtan is dead so we don’t have to play out the same stories yet again.
One more edit: I hope they add a new profession at the same time they make tengu playable race.

My suggestion is you stop this one time only event nonsense. What are you catering to the unemployed? Saturday and Sunday have not been non work days, except for government employees, for decades now. It makes no sense for you to work hard producing events most players will not in fact see.
Everytime I log into a city I get 1-4 emails from gold spammers, which I immediately report.
I just tried it. It does not jump gaps or inclines.
I don’t see any change in my characters health when I add a Rune of Life to armor.
I believe the;’re counting all text, including guild chat. Because when they suppress they suppress everything including guild chat. Which they should not be doing. Its up to the guild officers to decide if any chat in guild chat is too much not Arenanet.
I’ll say it again, they should be suppressing all that gold scamming not legitimate game play chat. Looking for group for a dungeon is not spamming, spamming is by definition trying to sell something.
Just how are we supposed to find a group for dungeons when Arenanet pulls this nonsense?
Suppress those gold spammers not legitimate players. Every city is full of nothing but gold spammers.
The other day I logged in and got 4 emails all trying to sell me gold.
Very minor textual error. In the Seraph Headquarters when my sylvari talks to Logan Thackery he says “I’m busy at the moment. Direct your queries to Sergeant Groban”. But standing right beside him is Lieutant Groban.
I don’t see slots for them in storage bank.
