I started this season in amber, didnt play much season 4. Besides the season 5 launch day, when I played around 15 matches, I kept just doing 1 match per day, for my dailies and those nice new ranked rewards. (already got my legendary wings). Till I got to half emerald, it was quite as always been for me: around 2 wins – 1 loss, and a few win streaks here and there. Then things started going down. Badly.

I had my first loss streak with 6 games straight. Just bad luck, I thought. Than 1 win. And another loss streak. One more win. And another loss streak.

Then I decided to play more than one daily match to see what was going on. And the thing is, even when I win, my teammates are evidently inferior to the adversary. Usually there’s 1 other decent guy, and the rest is getting crushed running around in panic. I’m no pro, I’m just the average player with 4 years experience to see what’s going on.

So, my question is: why? Been like 50 matches like this, I know it can’t be just bad luck and I’m indeed getting team’d up with players less skilled than the other team. I’m not really upset since I already got my wings and I pvp mostly for dailies, but I’d like to know if that’s how it’s supposed to work.

Although I really appreciate the effort and feedback, we can’t pretend that those new badges (even after the UI artist “fix”) are nearly as good as the original ones. The last season badges looked liked big precious gemstones when displayed on pvp ui, and they still looked like small shiny gems when above our heads, without any need for all the detail and artistic sophistication of the new ones. Let’s be honest, was there any reason to change them?

The art is irrelevant because of the size, you won’t see it. How things will display when reduced is some very basic design concept, I’m serious when I say it’s impressive that this passed on a company that has very good reputation in this area.

They’re not visually interesting like the old ones, they’re not distinguishable, not remarkable, not desirable. How did this pass? This badge, which you keep above your head everywhere for everyone to see, summarize your efforts in a very competitive game mode. I’m really impressed that you turned it in something meaningless. Please, give us some feedback, Anet.

Saying that it’s shiny is just a way to state that it is precious to me. Old gaming tributes are one of the most valuable aspects of gw2 imo, and I’m not concerned about others not seeing my amulet. It’s about me and my character, not the others.

I think this is the problem: it’s just as useful as (almost) any other ascended item with fixed stats: rubbish. This game has a lot of not advisable stat combination. Of course you can use those items, but your character will be worse.

Exactly. I runned with a celestial guardian for 2 years. Then I started to get my alts on full ascended meta gear, and once I realized the brutal difference, I gave up on using it. But I still keep the amulet ofc, and I CANT GET OVER THE FACT THAT THE MOST SHINY AMULET IS CRAP COMPARED TO THE OTHERS. HELP US ANET!!!

Those little secrets are the essence of video games. I’m very glad that Anet takes old gaming to heart (Triforge Pendant, SAB, JP), this is honestly what puts gw2 quite a few steps ahead of any other mmo.

Good morning Anet. When I started playing this game a few years ago, I had no idea about optimal gameplay or metabuilds, I just wanted to go after treasure. And as a Zelda fan, one of the first I invested my efforts was the shinny amulet, Triforge Pendant. It may not look expensive in this day, but back there it took a small fortune and a lot of farm.

Ah, I’ll cut out the drama. This little thing is treasured by the earlier community and it’s part of this game history. Give us a recipe to reset/change its stats so we can actually use it? Could be a recipe using the actual ascended amulet which stats you want, that’s pretty fair, right? I would pay even 2 ascended amulets to change my Triforge stats! kitten , I would pay a lot more! Save me, Anet heroes!

I used to really want gwamm, but not really anymore. Seen too many awful players with it, in all game modes. And gw2 is a quite horizontal games, there’s ain’t no gods amongst the players. Maybe a few ones in pvp, but still. And there’s so many with it that it became kinda generic, like those Silverwastes achievements “Anihilator”, “Be-all-end-all”, meh. I’ll probably use Flameseeker after getting my gw1 stuff, looks much more interesting for my guard, and ofc more original. And bad players hardly will get Legendary Champion, unlike gwamm.

Grettings Anet,

Although I’m a pvx player, I must confess that the main story delivers most of the entertaining for me. It happens that I had to take a break right after the Karka Island map release, and when I came back, the LS2 had just started and I missed all of that content.

Of course, I watched every movie got updated about what happened, but each time it just made me crave even more to get a chance to play it. I got the impression that you guys really tried to give some story telling quality, like that Marjory noir style introduction, and also asa I started playing LS2 I could tell that things improved in that aspect (although in HoT, the last Mordremoth moments where kinda generic mmo narrative tbh, but that can be looked aside if it doesn’t happen again) .

The point is: I would give anything to play it, and since I got back to this game, I keep dreaming when I’ll read some news about it. Is there a chance, or it’s all scrapped and won’t come back?

Also, keep investing on lore and and story telling, I’m sure that is what it makes this game really special for many of us! Don’t overlook it and let those Elder Dragons become just some generic bad guys! You guys created a threat so immeasurably powerfull that the poor mortals in Tyria can’t hardly comprehend how tiny they are in comparison. Stars realign, landscapes changes, the gods cower in fear, isn’t something like an Ice Age that cames and recicles the planet? Don’t make them say “huaaarr I’m the only victor, you can’t defeat me, take that, muahahahaha”. I’m serious. Don’t waste your precious lore like so many games do.

If you agree, help me make this gets notice, somehow.

Hello ArenaNet, I wanted to make this suggestion for since I began playing, and it seems no one suggested it yet.

The idea of reincarnation, wich I’ve seen in another mmorpg, is that, after maxing you character, you can restart him in another class. Basically, you re-start like its brand new, but you get something in return. It may be a little stat bonus you earn from each incarnation. For example, if you have maxed out a guardian to lvl 80, you can reincarnate
some other class with inate 100 healing (dont know how much would be apropriate). Even if its a +10 stats bonus, it would still be awesome. Because would give a HUGE replay value to the game, and would be a very long goal, designed for end game content, that would make your player spread around the world more evenly. You could also give some cosmetic changes, maybe a special logo with you character name, or a title, that would show how many lives your toon had before.

Anyway, I’m sure you guys will have lots of ideas to improve this “reincarnation” concept, so I will be waiting to know what you think.
