true i can surive a bit longer as warrior, but when i get 3-5 mobs gang up on me im pretty much just spending my whole time running away. as far as ele or any other class, i pretty much die as soon as they look at me.
yeah i only pve tbh, doing anything but pve is asking for an anxiety attack and ending up in the hospital or jail lol. idk im downloading the game now and hoping it goes good. I play warrior with the meta zerk build.
2-3 Shotted by Trash mobs? What Kind of Mobs? Is there a Level Difference between you and the Mobs and was there a bigger Attack of the Mobs? And well where did you get 2-3 Shotted?
well lats time i was max level with zerk acended gear – pretty much all the high level zones like silverwastes
its like every few months i hear the “fear not this night” song on youtube and i give gw2 another try – and then the beauty of the song disappears quickly as im getting 2-3 shotted by trash mobs. i just heard the song again and want to give the game another try, but im 28 years old now and have learned a lot about life, like how a lot of things never change and ya just end up going in circles until you die.
I’m not planning to. When I buy it it will probably be the 50$ one. I’m not interested in the mini, guild decorations, finisher, cosmetic glider cover so that leaves the 4000 gems. 4000 gems costs 50$ normally I’m not seeing the savings here since it will be 50 for the expansion and 50 for the gems.
If you want those items and would pay for them then it is a savings, but only if you would buy them.
ya that’s pretty much how i feel, and as far as LA and divinity’s reach goes, we can just say we got the 99$ expansion, half the time you don’t even see the people you chat with to do title checks. and you can just use a good title and mini and say “eh, i like this one better” (personally i don’t like minis at all in MMOs.)
trying to decide if i wanna get it and which level i should get…i dont like end game stuff and mostly just login for dailies to work on my AP and do events in fun zones, are most people getting 99$ expansion? pretty much everyone i asked in LA said 99$ is the only one worth getting.
Unlike gw1 i really dont like the story so i just prefer to run around and do my own thing for fun. though it seems most of this game is focused around achievements and AP points. Will the new expansion be mostly living story stuff as well?
so why are they getting rid of these monthlies? does that mean less AP for us overall since login chests dont give AP? are they doing it to slow the rate of which people get AP?
Ive always been on SOR but recently we have been doing horrible in wvw (tier 8, dead last.)

Which is the point with this game. GW2 doesn’t have roles, you need to learn to do support, damage mitigation and DPS yourself.

Gear still carries you it just carries you differently.
I believe you are referring to a build (ie: zerker for DPS checks, clerics for endurance, PVT for bursts of incoming damage). I am referring to the case of some gear being strictly superior to others, which really is carrying the player (ie: the stats are the same in every way except the numbers are bigger). The latter example is what the OP is bragging about, just having bigger numbers (thus making content easier), and somehow equating bigger numbers making content easier with “skill”.

Actually, I was the first who wrote an advice with the storyline achievement you mentioned as “too hard to do”, while you completely ignored that and just stated yours “truth”.

is there any build that will make my warrior take minimal damage from sivlerwaste mobs? i dont mind if it takes me longer to kill i just wanna not die in 3 hits…i want to be able to take hits and have my healing signet heal more than the damage i take.
otherwisse a build where i can heal and take little damage to the point where by the time i get 75% heatlh my healing skill will be ready again.
I can’t help you on a warrior build, i dont play one myself but im sure if you ask or read up in the warrior forums i am sure you will find a build or tips how to play it like you want. Also like others have stated, try to be as mobile as you can so you can avoid most damage so it doesnt require you to heal it.

If you don’t want to die in 3 hits, dodge those hits… dodging is simple, double tap the WSAD keys or press V (I think V is the default button). In this game you don’t just stand there and take the damage, you avoid it completely.
If you don’t want to take any kind of damage, mitigate it by using dodge, shield block, endure pain or switch to ranged attacks when low on health, keep your distance, heal up, then go back in.
right on – so with shield will it block automatically? or only when i use the 4/5 skills? cus what i do when they are on cooldown? and lotta times i get knocked down and cant use the shield skills.
usually i run gs/rifle – maybe from now on ill just rifle everything. but rifle doesnt seem to do much damage – maybe ill go full zerk with rifle traits – ill be like a Bounty hunter from SWG lol.
No really .. i was first there with my warrior that i mostly play, and at some point
switched to my ranger. Normally i run around with a wolf as pet, but poor wolf
died mostly so fast that in the end i really use that infamous bear most of the time.

That’s odd. When I go to Silverwastes none of the events fail. I see people getting the Dolyaks to the camps, reclaiming camps, and so on. Just out of curiosity though, which story achievements are trying to get?
I can’t get any of the story achievemnts. for example i just tried the one where u escort mission and dont let the npcs die, and i even had 2 people in a group with me, and 1 npc always dies.
I believe for that particular achievement you pretty much have to set mines on all the corpses. I could see you failing once or twice before you figure that out.
Yeah it’s pretty tough honestly i think im gonna quit living story stuff altogether and just focus on world boss train and try to fin da guild that focuses on lower level zones, imo they are the most fun to play in.
Surely someone with a degree in network engineering can figure out a game meant for young teenagers and up.

do the math. even if you take a fresh account and do 12 dailies a day it will take you about 2 years and 8 months to get to 10k daily ap cap. so regardless of how long u been playing it doesnt take long to hit the cap.
yeah but i got all the ap i can from exploring and fighting etc, maybe ill get another 50 from weapon mastering and slaying…but thats it, theres no new water and theres no new AP. ill be stuck at maybe 15k, and everyone else will be 30k next year.
There’s always new way to get AP, just gotta try other things. You do the tradesman, world bosses, JP achievements yet? That’s an easy 1k AP right there. Belcher’s bluff, Southsun survival, other activities.. probably like 200 AP each if you plan to max them out. The story ones aren’t hard either, use a guide like one Dulfy has if you are having trouble (I did most of them solo pretty easily).
Also, you should maybe stop making these kind of ‘exaggerated’ posts… lol. You always make it sound like you have all this AP, but last time I was in your group I saw you only had 4k… probably be a few years at least before you manage to cap dailies XD. Just have fun and don’t worry about it too much.

Um, you can’t get Champion of the gods without gwamm…IIRC you need 40 titles for champion of the gods and you get gwamm after 30 titles.
IMO Gwamm still sounds cooler, why be a champ, when you can be a God? – eminem
And FYI I been getting mental help for 2 years now through medication AND therapy and I am making great progress, and ANET did call the cops on me last week which is why I was in the hospital.
I agree that gwamm is too grindy and a pain to get, but at the same time its improtnat because whenever you see someone who says “did u play gw1” they are going to flash their GWAMM title and if all you have is ur hom title they are gonna say “oh, too bad :P” happens to me every single day.
Step 2 – Do stuff you enjoy in game. AP etc will come.
Step 3 – By the time you have capped dailies you’ll have 10K AP! (and if you manage to cap monthlies as well you’ll have 15K + any others you pick up)
Step 4 – Problem solved go home and have a beer!

If the ‘game’ is causing you distress or injury, you should probably find something else that is more suited to your preferences.
A title is just that..a title. Who says ‘Closer to the Stars’ is not good enough? Truly, no one really cares what title anyone displays. The only one I’ve really tried for was ‘Been There Done That’, and that was only after 2 years of working on it when the fancy struck me.
Just do/play things that make you happy, and stay away from things that cause distress.

Yeah but gw2 is one of the only games i can get into atm and i dont really like many other things out side of mmos.
Gwamm just carries its weight because when you see someone in LA with GWAMM and map completion star, and glasses and commander tag, it just doesn’t get much better than that. and knowing ill never have that makes me not want to play gw2, but at the same time i dont really have anything else to play that i like.
