It’d be neat if they implemented more weapons with the next Elite Specs and gave Revenants a land Spear and something like “Legendary Sunspear Stance” in relation to Kormir. But perhaps it would conflict with having another Realm of Torment Legend since Mallyx resided from it before Kormir did, or maybe not since after GW1, not much is known about the RoT.

I’m having the same problem with the Facets randomly toggling off.

I’m experiencing a crash whenever I try to enter EB. It gets to the loading screen, and crashes a few seconds later.

The spec is 0/5/30/30/5, which they’re taking all the Meditation traits in Valor and taking Writ of Exaltation, Two-Handed Mastery and Writ of the Merciful in Honor. As for armor/trinkets, I’m assuming it’s a mix of Soldier’s and Knight’s, maybe a few crit damage trinkets. For the runes, not a clue.

I’ve been experiencing random lag in any maps/zones where I’ll have a 1/2 second delay, at the least. I’ve tested the game on another computer (my laptop) using a wireless connection, while my desktop uses a wired one, and still have experienced the delay. I tried using the wireless on my desktop, and still have the delay. Both computers also use different OS, where my laptop uses Windows 7 Home, and my desktop uses Windows 8 Pro. Even after restarting my router and modem, I experience this lag.

I’ve also tested other games as well (not MMOs, so it’s not 100% consistent), such as BF4, BF3, Path of Exile, Dota 2, etc., and don’t experience any lag at all. Also any VoIPs I’m in such as Mumble and TeamSpeak 3 have no lag or distortion.

Could is possibly be my ISP? Or is this a problem with the servers themselves?

It’s an animation glitch where you are using a skill and weapon swapping at the same time. The only thing I can say is don’t do them that at the same time, haha.

Something like 20/25/0/0/25 with all the +x% damage traits. With all of their requirements met, you’ll have +54% damage (10% from Fiery Wrath. 5% from Zealous Blade, 10% from Radiant Power, 20% from Unscathed Contender, and 9% from Power of the Virtuous). Full Berserker’s everything, Scholar Runes, probably a Sigil of Night, At least Bane Signet, full bloodlust, etc.

Not sure if that’s the highest, but it seems like it would be something like that. As far as survivability goes, it clearly sucks, but that’s not what you asked for. :P

I have EVGA Precision X /w RivaTuner, but I have the OSD disabled/off. I’ve used it in the past and had no problems with it either. If I were having hardware issues, I’d be having BSODs, which I’m not getting at all, just GW2 crash errors. I’m still downloading the entire game again, so I’ll see if the problem persists.

Over the past few days, I’ve been experienced some very frequent game crashes. I would rarely crash, and all of a sudden it’s just happening randomly. My system is stable, no RAM issues, no antivirus/firewall issues, and I’ve already run the -repair many times. I just recently noticed that the 2 most recent crashes have the same error:
“Memory at address ffffffff could not be read.”

The only thing that may be throwing it off would be more overclock, but I’ve already tried setting it back to default and the game still crashes.

I’m assuming it’s just the recent Clockwork update, but I guess I’ll find out if it persists tomorrow with the new update.

Update: Another crash, this time with the command line: -repair. Completely deleted GW2 and redownloading it now.

I’ve had months with no crashes and then suddenly crashes. It’s more than likely the game breaking, and having updates every 2 weeks, that doesn’t help keep things stable.

I had a similar problem a few months ago, but my computer would restart randomly while playing GW2 or not. In the end, it turned out to be a power supply issue (which I thought it was in the first place).

You should check to be sure that all of your connectors in your system are securely in, and see if that fixes your problem. It could also be a virus/malware (which I highly doubt, but you never know), so scan your computer and all that. If none of that works, I would assume it’s your PSU, and either test the PSU with a voltmeter or replace it entirely.

I’ve had situations where I haven’t typed in chat for half an hour in WvW, and when I go to type something, I’m already suppressed. There’s definitely a problem with this system.

I used Scepter/Focus + GS with a boon duration setup. I always auto attacked her so I could have perma vigor to dodge, and used Retreat + Save Yourselves for perma swiftness. I used the scepter 90% of the fight, and only swapped to GS to leap out of the AoE or burst with Focus 5 + GS 2. It’s definitely a tough fight with luck being a factor, so just keep trying and you’ll get it!

I had a Cavalier Fractal Capacitor with Ascended stats, and I threw it into the forge using the recipe with 250 ectos, 1 Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence, the back piece, and a gift of acsencion, and in return I didn’t get the Beta version but a quiver. I don’t recall ever transmuting my back piece, so I don’t think that’s the issue (It’s too late now to see if it was transmuted or not).

You’re not alone, I’ve been crashing as well, losing sound with some of the weapons, crashing in WvW, dungeons and idling in La as well. I haven’t had any problems with game crashes until the most recent Flame and Frost update.

I’ve been experiencing lag and game crashes since the end of April patch. I’ll sometimes rubberband in an instance/dungeon and others I will receive the pop-up notifying me that the game has crashed, and in some cases, the game will still be playable and won’t immediately close, while in others it will do just that.

This is a relatively new computer, and I have made sure that it is a stable build. The memory is fine, the CPU and GPU are fine, and my hard drive is fine.

I’ve had a total of 5 or so crashes since the latest update, 3 of them were in the new Molten Factory dungeon (the dungeon did bug out at the boss’s gate, and we couldn’t get in; whether that has anything to do with it or not, I don’t know), 1 was while I was running to the TP in LA, and the last crash was in Eternal Battlegrounds in WvW.

On top of the lag and crashes, I will occasionally D/C out of the blue, and my internet is clearly stable and working. It’s not a firewall problem or anything of the sorts, so it could just be a fluke, as to be expected with anything.

As I’ve said, I have not have had any severe crashes since I built this computer in early January up until now.

My game has started crashing a lot after the last major update, especially in the new dungeon, so I don’t think it’s just you having this problem, and it could possibly not be our computers having issues.

I turned that option on before posting and there’s no BSODs at all.. The event viewer had some errors that we have already fixed, but it didn’t seem to do him any good. We’re going to try fixing it today by removing the audio card to see if that does him any good. One thing I’ve noticed is that when the computer freezes while updating, the usb ports power down as his mouse and keyboard lights go off. This leads me to think it’s possibly a bad OS or something is wrong with his BIOS..

My friend’s computer seems to consistently restart when trying to update the game. The amount of progress he makes trying to update is random, as sometimes he will be able to update the game completely, while others it won’t get past downloading ANYTHING.

His PC specs are as follows:

CPU: i7-2600k
Mobo: Gigabyte (unsure of specifics)
GPU: EVGA GTX 580
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4 × 2 GB
PSU: Corsair 1200W
Audio Card: HT Omega Claro 2

He told me the problem started before he installed the audio card or AFTER he installed it. All of the drivers for his computer are updates (as far as I know). We’ll remove the audio card to see if that solves the problem. If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem may be, we’d both appreciate it!

I’ve had this problem a few times before. Whenever my game would crash, I would have to restart the client, obviously. But when I went to do so, the client would crash constantly before being able to log in. I would have to restart my computer so that the client does not do this any more.

There’s so many people trying to update the client that it’s lagging for everyone. Just be patient and wait it out.

I’ll just add my two cents to what you suggested.

Stances:

- Endure Pain: I agree with the reduced CD, but it’s hit or miss with me for the stability. Also, they need to fix the damage that can still be received while using Endure Pain, which are from conditions.
- Berserker Stance: Leave it as it is and add fury for the duration.
- Balanced Stance: Leave it as it is.
- Frenzy: Leave it as it is.

Weapons:

Shield:

- Shield Bash: Slightly increase range (maybe to 450?), otherwise leave it as it is.
- Shield Stance: Leave it as it is, add adrenaline gain with each blocked attack?

Axe:

- 1) I agree with increasing damage, otherwise keep the damage the same and grant more adrenaline or something like that.
- 2) Leave it as it is.
- 3) Maybe increase projectile speed, otherwise increase cripple duration.
- 4) Leave it as it is.
- 5) I agree with increasing damage and stability, but I’m a bit iffy with reflecting projectiles. Otherwise, just increase damage without the stability boon.
- Eviscerate: Slight range increase, and apply vulnerability if it hits. Otherwise, leave it as it is.

Mace:

- 1) I agree with both reducing casting time and making it a blast finisher. But with that, the weakness applied should have a reduced duration.
- 2) Instead of granting protection, provide retaliation or increase damage.
- 3) Leave it as it is.
- 4) Leave it as it is and make it a blast finisher.
- 5) I agree that the projectile speed should be increased.
- Skull Crack: I agree with making it a leap finisher, but reduce the range to 300. I also agree that the stun duration should be increased. Everything else should be as it is.

Sword:

- 1) Potentially increase the damage of Final Thrust, otherwise leave it is.
- 2) Add bleeding or vulnerability if it hits, otherwise leave it as it is.
- 3) Leave it as it is.
- 4) Rip should apply bleeding, with more stacks of bleeding the longer it is on the target. Reduce the physical damage the longer Rip is on the target. Otherwise, leave it as it is.
- 5) Possibly make it a channeled skill (so you can’t move if you want to block the attack), and increase the damage and amount of bleeding if an attack is blocked. Otherwise, leave it as it is.
- Flurry: Increase physical damage or decrease casting time. Otherwise, leave it as it is.

Rifle:

- 1) Leave it as it is.
- 2) Increase casting time, increase damage, increase cripple duration.
- 3) Leave it as it is.
- 4) Reduce casting time.
- 5) Leave it as it is.
- Kill Shot: I agree that you should be immune to blind, but still blockable. Otherwise, decrease damage, add bleeding, vulnerability, weakness and cripple. (Silly idea, but sounds fun)

Hammer:

- 1) Hammer Smash should apply weakness and be blast finisher.
- 2) Fierce Blow should apply vulnerability.
- 3) Add a 1/4 second stun or daze and increase recharge, or immobilize for 1 second on top of the cripple.
- 4) Increase knockback to 300.
- 5) Reduce cooldown, increase knockdown duration to 3 seconds, otherwise leave it as it is.
- Earthshaker: Increase damage. Those closer to the center should be dazed and those that are further away should have a reduced dazed duration or should be stunned.

Greatsword:

- 1) Leave it as it is.
- 2) I agree that Hundred Blades should be swapped with Arcing Slice.
- 3) Leave it as it is.
- 4) Increase projectile speed, otherwise leave it as it is.
- 5) Be able to break out of rush.
- Arcing Slice: See #2.

Longbow: (Should be a direct damaging weapon)

- 1) Leave it as it is.
- 2) Change to Fan of Arrows(?), apply bleeding instead of burning.
- 3) Leave it as it is, or change it with Combustive Shot.
- 4) Leave it as it is.
- 5) Leave it as it is.
- Change burst skill to Sundering Shot: Increased damage, increased projectile speed, applies vulnerability.

I think a lot of the mechanics should retain their abilites that were from Guild Wars, such as Frenzy increasing attack speed but increasing incoming damage, Warriors not being able to apply burning and poison effectively, etc.

Of course, this isn’t Guild Wars, this is Guild Wars 2, so some things are going to be different.

Rifle 2 and 4 should essentially be switched in the current state of the game. Aimed shot isn’t so… aimed…

As for the longbow, I really don’t know where I was going with it, but something along those lines would be a nice replacement to what it currently is.

PSU = Power supply unit, not CPU.

If it was the power supply, then your computer would most likely shut down after hitting its peak power draw and not being able to maintain that much wattage. I’m not too familiar with AMD Processors, but perhaps it’s bottlenecking the GPU? Also, what brand is the PSU?

I have an i5-3570k @ 4.5GHz and a GTX 580. I’ve usually maintained 30+ FPS in WvW zergfests, but I think the recent update changed that, because I’m now going into 15-25 fps. Before the last update, I’ve had no FPS problems whatsoever, maintaining 50-60+ in all areas of the game, excluding LA (which I usually get 30-50 FPS).

Whenever I go to whisper someone, the chat window delays for a few minutes before allowing me to type. I also have a slight delay when inviting someone to a party.

At this point, it’s safe to say that my Graphics Card is holding me back. I upgraded from an i7 870, and have noticed huge game improvements. A friend of mine has the same CPU as I do clocked at around 4.2GHz, but has 2 GTX 670s in SLI, and has a higher frame rate than I do. Any further advice would be awesome.

I assume RvRvR is WvW, in which case you hit “B” and join in on any of the maps. As for the empty maps, many people already have a maxed character, so many of the high level maps have more people in them (especially Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound for the events).

I can’t seem to dye my helm or my shoulders sky blue in the second slot of each. Whenever I apply it, it restarts it to the default color, but in the dye menu the default color is the sky blue. When I go to reapply it, it shows sky blue, but claims that the color is “dye remover”.

This may or may not have already pointed out, but when I use Empower, the might only lasts for 10 seconds, when it should be 12 seconds from the +20% duration you get from having 2 runes equipped.

Magumma Invader guild “Your Guild Blows [PANG]” is using a small spot on hill to grant themselves invulnerability and build siege in that same spot. This is taking place at the Southwestern Supply Camp on Ehmry Bay Borderlands at around 11 PM Eastern.

It isn’t just you, it’s me as well. I have many audio glitches and random game crashes, and I notice it mostely when the Mesmers use their shatter skills, but who knows what’s causing it. I have friends that have no problems with game crashes, but I get the frequently.

It took 6 or so hours, but I can finally play again, and nothing is lost. If you have a similar problem, just remember to be thorough when filling out a ticket, and be patient and let them do their job. Thank you very much Gaile and the rest of the support team.

Good to see Gaile back again – I understand that it’s hard to keep everyone updated and happy so I’m pleased to see her post.

Most of the good news posts have been from this fraud issue and I haven’t read a lot of success stories from these incorrectly banned accounts labeled as bots. I am going from optimism to pessimism and back again as I wait patiently for a response.

I still can’t work out why my account was labeled as this though so I’m very concerned that once I get my account back it will get flagged again unless I change … something?? It would be nice if someone from AN comes out and says it was a problem with their antibotting procedures and they have resolved it so accounts won’t get falsely flagged again, just so I don’t freak out every time something happens in game. (provided I get back on – which I’m hopeful the truth will come out and prove I’m not botting)

I didn’t get my account back yet but I did get a response from support asking to verify my account information. and it was approx 30 hours after my original submission. I’m sure theyre slammed because..I included all that info already in my ticket, but it IS progress.

Unless there’s currently some trouble with account pages…. it seems that ArenaNet was not able to deal with my issue so they decided to ban/block me completely from using the account pages such as “My stuff”. When trying to reach the page it says : There has been an error with your request. And I tried it on multiple connections so it’s not my connection. It’s either their site or they just blocked me after taking my money, and claiming my purchase was a fraud while they accepted the money and the payment was successful.

I just recently had this problem as well. I cannot access My Stuff or look at the Answers on the support site, when it was working fine 10 minutes ago.

I currently have the same problem. I recovered my account from support, and now it states that I the grace period has ended and I need to enter a serial key that I already did when I pre-purchased the game from Gamestop before the first BWE.

I was falsely banned for “botting” yesterday, and my account was restored just recently. I can login to the game, but I get an error known as “Grace period has ended!” as well as “The server was unable to authenticate your gameplay privileges/Error code: 21:6:3:2114”.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Some people get a response within hours, others have waited a week+. Just be patient and try to relax.

My acct got blocked as well. This is the second problem I have had with arena net since I bought and downloaded the game on October 7.

The first problem was due to, I think, hanging out with a group of botters. I was trying to leech exp in the lake in WvW. (Anyway my acct was suspended on October 21, think the same time 3000 accounts were banned). I sent a support ticket and had an initial response back within an hour. After sending some follow up information my account was restored.

Bringing me to today. Last night I was farming the daily event chain, in the Straights of Devestation. I farmed off and on until early this morning (7 am CST). I logged off, slept 4 hours, worked 4 hours, then went to log back in to find my account had been terminated for botting, extended unattended play, using macros, or similar behavior.

I admit that I did go afk a time or two to grab something to drink, bathroom break, etc, where I didn’t leave the group I was in, but was never gone more than about 2 mins. However seeing as my toon was a Necro with zero pets running (I do use hounds of Balthazar from time to time but seeing as those are 40 second pets I wasn’t including them) I just don’t see how a 2-3 min break was extended unattended play. In addition I have never created a macro, nor do I even know how to create them, nor do I bot.

I just wish I knew where NCSoft/ArenaNet thought I had been using illegal procedures. Also I put in my support ticket (ticket #121113-003472) about 6 hours ago and haven’t heard anything, not even an automated response. From what I understand I may have to wait 72 hours.. It is just so frustrating.

Any other advice, other than the support ticket, is appreciated.

There’s nothing more you can do; just wait patiently for your ticket to go through. If you did nothing wrong, then there’s no reason you shouldn’t get your account back.

If you haven’t posted your ticket in the 3 day or older thread, I would highly suggest you do so. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for a response from ANet.

ANet won’t say anything about it, so we can only hope it’s being fixed. If you didn’t send a support ticket, do that as soon as possible. After that, all you can do is wait like the rest of us.

The problem with that is that even people who didn’t farm in Orr got banned. Some even purchased the game only a few days ago and got banned.

I’m not sure why my account is suspended, but I got suspended this morning while I was playing.

The logon screen says:
“Your guild wars 2 account has been suspended for a violation of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct.”
I don’t know what error code 45:6:3:2114 means or if it has anything to do with the reason.

I have no idea why I got suspended, and so far there is nothing in my email or on the ticket giving any further information. I was in Wayfarer Foothills with my only character (level 80), idly killing stuff waiting for the local events to start again. Yes, I do like playing around in low to middle level areas rather than going through the stress of playing in high level areas. I buy the high level mats I need for levelling crafting by selling the low level mats I get, and by scavenging mats from event rewards (eg: The Maw chain).

What did I do that went against the UA or RoC?

If you didn’t bot or macro, then you did absolutely nothing wrong. There’s currently a GINORMOUS flaw in ANet’s bot detection system, and many of us are suffering because of it.

Since you already sent in your support ticket, all you can do is wait patiently for them to resolve the problem and restore your account.

well, as much as id like to have a nice fancy keyboard to use, unfortunantly i dont, i do however have one of those “Razer naga 2012 edition” mmo mouses, where the number pad is on the mouse, so i like to mash the buttons with my thumb xd
i was indeed falsely banned for that whole “botting” cr@p earlier today, however im fairly sure that it was not the hardware’s fault, and more so along the lines of Anet screwing up

I also have a Razer Naga, so I rarely use the 1-0, F1-F4 keys on my keyboard. I’m sure all of use are in the same boat with being falsely banned for “botting”, and because we did nothing wrong, we just have to wait for them to fix the issue.

I was farming in the Cursed Shore like countless others have been doing. I was getting the last bit of money I needed to make my legendary, and was banned as the defend Penitent Camp event started.
