Oh I see, that makes sense. Thanks alot for clearing that up, guess I’ll be swapping that out.
Just to test this out, I bought only a Major Sigil, it does not seem to proc at all when I use my FT. I want to use it on my offhand since I have sigil of fire on my main. Is this not possible?
My fav helm so far, havent really seen anything that screams “engineer” besides the starter eng eyepatch or whatever it is.
How in the hell is turrets functioning as they should, considered an exploit? If there is no third party software involved how in the world is that harming anyone, in any way at all? This entire subject is just so ridiculous. I really want a source on this bs about turrets considered exploit if you’re afking.
The music is alright, but it’s kind of lame that almost every single area uses the same music. And the voice acting, while it be decent, is extremely cheesy many times throughout the game, whether it be skills, or story mode. All in all, it’s tolerable
Uh, hate to burst your bubble but most mmos lately are heavily cpu bound (and you normally need over 3ghz to get anywhere near full performance on those types). And I see ffxiv in there which is just laughable because that is the most terribly optimized mmo I have ever played, and I’ve been playing it since release. Also, guild wars runs 1000x more smoothly than I could ever get that game to run. If the game isn’t running SLI right atm for you the best thing to do is run a single until they fix it, so what if you paid for it, it’s not like it’s the only game in the world that you’ll be using it on. I’d say sucking it up and sticking to a single until everything’s been tweaked will get you much better results than whining on a forum if you’re “scared to break your hardware”.
Female Norn Engineer (my favorite)
Female Sylvari Guardian
Female Human Necromancer
Male Charr Warrior
Male Charr Ranger
Male Human Thief
Lol it’s a video game, doesn’t really matter what gender you’re playing. Someone acting butt hurt over it is like someone getting mad you picked a female in a fighting game. Both equally ridiculous, just makes them seem very insecure. :p
There’s “plenty” of games that do that boring kind of thing as having 1 character play every single class, like FFXIV, FFXI, PSO2, but this isn’t one of them and I really don’t want that in this game. Playing one character on every single class is not appealing at all, and it gets rather boring, fast, and this is from experience as I played two of those games for over a year.
I don’t get why I can’t just progess on one character. it’s not like you can’t make a different character for each class if you so choose to.
Also you can only have 5 character slots(unless you buy more) meaning you can’t even play all the classes.
I’ve bought two extra slots through the gold to gem exchange, it takes some time if you’re broke but it’s really not that hard to get more slots for practically nothing. On topic though, The reason that kind of thing works in the games I stated before is because those were built around that system, there are no sub jobs, sub classes, any of that in this. And even then, it felt extremely tedious, more so in FFXI since you were pretty much forced to have certain subs for your main classes or pretty much be screwed so most everyone only used one character because of tedious that was aside from mules. In this, there’s none of that nonsense and each race has pretty neat stories, animations, looks, etc that I’d rather be trying all of them out with different classes instead of having to hold a ton of gear for every class I have leveled on a single character that I’d grow tired of looking at after a while.
To sum that up, I find it a lot more fun to experience different classes on different races instead of feeling like i’m being forced to play one character because they can use any class and there’s always a perk having multiple classes leveled on 1 character when the game is built around it. But, that’s just my opinion you can take it for what it is.

I fear guild wars two will wane unless they bring out new stuff soon

This happens on release of every new mmo that I’ve played the past few years and it’s kind of ridiculous. People rush to cap, get bored, blame the game for having no content. Never ending cycle. I’m more than sure they have plans but it’s not going to magically come out faster just because a minority of people rushed to cap and seemingly have nothing to do.
I’m new to guild wars (didn’t play the first) but I can assure you I got what was advertised and they haven’t disappointed yet, well besides how bad the market is right now (seriously, everything is sold for like nothing on there) but other than that yeah got what I signed up for. What I find more surprising is how all these people are getting to 80 so fast, and on top of that come to forums and complain, I just don’t understand the logic behind it. Anyway, sounds to me like this isn’t the game for you, Apotheosis. You seem to have an issue with the entire game from what I just read, might be better to just move on instead of torture yourself with something you really don’t seem to enjoy.
Frequent crashing from "corrupted files"

I have been getting these corrupt crash errors ever since the patch about 4 or so days ago. I viewed through this thread so find the fix, did a memory test and sure enough one my sticks gave me…402 errors. The very weird part about this is, I didn’t have a problem with guild wars at all until that patch, and is to this day the only game that crashes on me even though I supposedly have a faulty stick. And I have around 50ish (ridiculous steam user) games installed so I’m kind of confused how suddenly a single game pops up and suddenly my memory is faulty. Anyways, currently reinstalling Guild Wars 2 and will get back to you on whether or not removing that ram fixed the problem.
