Doing a tracert shows the isp is delivering at 17ms, but when it goes thru level 3 milan and level 3 frankfurt nodes, it spikes to 100+ (which in game usually translates in rubberbanding, delay, and a shown ping of 180+)

This happens regularly, just on gw2 and just at peak hours (starting usually from 20.00 CEST, minute less minute more) and never happened when i was routed thru Telia servers instead of level 3 ones (Started being routed thru level 3 since BW3)

I “solved” this by reactivating my old WTFast account, but the whole concept of paying a monthly fee in order to have a decent ping gets on my nerves quite a lot.

Same here! Opened one extra daily chest without realizing and i think ive done 1 more daily completion achiev than i should have (tought it had resetted at 01:00 gmt+1). Saw we got a patch fixing the chest thing, made an in-game report aswell and gonna leave there my legit 02:00 gmt+1 daily chest and the daily achievement as compensation till an official statement from devs. Good night!

So far i think this game mode is a good fresh air from conquest only mode (i love conquest, but variety is always nice). I like the mechanics aswell, its different, its good, just….
The only real problem (for me) that i found out is that u can basically win a game without having to do proper pvp fight. I think the issue is inside the supply/heroes commune casts. By being interruptable just from CC and not from normal hit, u can basically make the enemy waste their cc to stop you, then cast without any fear of being interrupted, and leave the spot. HERO SHOULD BE A FIGHTING SPOT! similar goes with supply depot, ppl just play the ignore game and leave for build npcs on their lanes.

TL:DR: Make commune/supply casts interruptable ON HIT (like for example Temple of silent Storm buffs), so ppl will have more chances and an actual REASON to stop and fight over a crucial spot

PS: The blue treb is bugged, it cant hit the breakers near to outer gate, just the red treb does.

WTFast runs through shared service VPNs like most tunneling services. Unfortunately when they change servers or providers, our systems detect a large quantities of accounts suddenly being accessed by a different network. Standard preventative measures dictate that we close access to these accounts to try to insure that the account’s holdings remain secure.

As we currently don’t have an “account identity lock” system, we rely on preventative banning in this case. We are working on a better solution for this, but this type of issue doesn’t happen very often, and when it does it can quickly and easily be fixed.

In this case it looks like this hit WTFast VPNs running out of Frankfurt, Germany which was brought to our attention because of high GoldSeller activity on it along with a flux of accounts hitting the same and new network at the same time.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I am still looking into this issue.

I was one of the banned guys, now i can login again on forum and ingame. Thanks for your fast answer and for solving this issue.

A question now: can this happen anytime again in future? cause im kinda committed to WTFast due to the extreme delay, rubberbanding and packet loss im getting since months, tho i wanna avoid to risk this happening again and maybe not being solved like now.

each of which after clicked opens 2 more buttons:

“Ranked” could use a split between soloQ and teamQ but thats called wishing too much, i’d be happy even without this last part

Oh, and each with its own leaderboard, possibly not a grinding leaderboard also.

Hello Gaile! As many and many users already pointed out, solution is pretty simple: keep the new UI for who have troubles with the old one as the default ui. Want gems? go for it at those fixed amounts (i suggest to add the option to have a minimum lower than 400 gems too, like 100). Then, add a “Custom Conversion” button which opens a small menu allowing us to buy the amount of gems we want like before (and maybe give us a mini graph on low/high fluctuations like before aswell on that page, to know how the market moves, that would be too awesome maybe). Welcome the new, but keep the old in mind as someone said, i dont see myself having 99 gems and buy 400 more because i need 1 to get to 100 if u get what i mean

Not that I don’t kind of agree with the general idea of this thread, but come on now. Just don’t click on it; then your eyes won’t hurt anymore.

Hehe youre right i mean its not for the AP or anything, just…feels not right! And asking costs nothing afterall, if nothing can be done then i’ll still enjoy the game like am doing now

Yeah, i had 2 that i could never finish. One hint was about the mesmer shatters, and another was the mailbox full hint. The hint system would’ve actually been better if it was expanded on, instead of the “NPE” we’re getting now.

Title says it all, many of us know it was bugged and stuck on 82/83 while someone else completed it, now may sound low to question about 10 AP but it kinda bothers me to not being able to complete it before due to a bug, and see its there in historical section as not completed…its…just not right :P Wasnt better just to set it on autocomplete for everyone? Feelin a bit “stolen”, ofc wont kill myself if u cant do anything but asking is always free ^^

@Dijla, yeah, the breakout event is the only exception that passes the ball to assaulters. Also true that the increased range on AC as its current state is even more gamebreaking, with just 15 points in ac mastery u can basically man an untouchable weapon of mass destruction.

Infact it is not a QQ thread. If u dont stop at the bold part but have the effort to take time to read over, u might recognize this thread is about discussing it (ive remarked 2 times im not an expert and that i might be wrong, so im not crying about something, just wanna bring some issues to Dev’s attention by making em be discussed by the community)

PS: I have a condi mesmer also, did u see me crying about confusion nerf? (Tbh, i founded it legit since it was too OP)

lol at using cannons and oil. Hold on a sec, I want to stand in the thousands of AoE attacks as they rain down upon me.

Doesnt change the fact they are there and can be used. And not every group have numbers to destroy them in 5 seconds down in T7, especially if u wanna go for a tower as a small organized group (10/15 man)

Heres a few suggestion about how to counter the ac buff i’ve gathered around (might be considered valid)

- Removing 80% damage boost on fire, leaving just the possibility to add +25% via Mastery line
- Making Siege bunker ability line at its max to give 100% siege damage reduction (20% for 1st, 40% for 2nd, 60% for 3rd, 80% for 4th and 100% for 5th slot) and increase Flame Ram health Pool by…X times (what u think its balanced)
- Making AC skills to have limited charges like elementalist’s conjured weapon (like 20 or 30 charges) after them the AC is out of ammo/destroyed and u’ll need to build another one (Wanna keep constant fire on assaulters up? Use tons of supplies.) This (imho) will also add a bit of “skill” in Manning an AC properly, making it not anymore a brainless spam siege, adding more tactical purpose (for example: “this ac have just 10 charges left but its on a core side, the other hits less but have still 30 charges, better think wisely which one to use”)
- (This is by far the best) Adding the chance to throw Asteroids with trebs to make em still feel powerful.

Hello everyone, im a WvW enthusiast from Ruins of Surmia, i cant and i wont define myself a WvW expert but i do know a thing or two, and wanna see what you devs think about the recent big WvW changes that 30th April patch just brought in. Keep in mind that im talking about a T7 prospective, so things can be different (worse or better, i honestly dont know) in higher WvW tiers.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: this ISNT a QQ post about you nerf this, nerf that, that is too OP, the other is too Cheap etc etc, crying about something isnt my style, just wanna bring few things to Your attention.)

1st: 30 second delay on contesting (mainly works for lower tier keeps or any tier tower)

This, have some potential. Adding more realism to the game by forcing server to leave scouts inside towers/no WP keeps to check their state can be a brilliant idea to add more strategy. The counter is, a zerg consisting of lots of ppl can turn a gate/wall to ashes in no time, and ppl dont tend to guard a tower too much since it can turn into a lot of waiting for no reward at all. So, a huge YES for having some delay on contestings, but a huge NO for making it last 30 seconds before warn (a wooden gate can be blowed away in half the time easilly by a zerg, and an eventual scout(s) wont have the chance to call in for reinforcements in time to succesfully defend or have a possibility to do it)

2nd: AC 80% (105% with mastery) Damage buff

No. No. NoNoNo. NO! This is not just OP, or i wouldnt be so angry and will try to adapt to it. This is GAMEBREAKING. Giving a few defenders the chance to wipe easilly triple or more their numbers with a couple of spammed ac skills isnt the way to go. First of all, this makes rams totally useless, encouraging the exclusive use of long range sieges like trebs (catas can be easilly countertrebbed/taken down on high tier keeps/towers with fortified walls). How can u just think to Man a ram under such a annihilating rain of damages? not even a full bunker can resist it enough to deal a couple of hits. Second, it gives defenders an EVEN GREATER advantage on assaulters. For who thinks assaulting is easier than defending, heres a couple of defenders advantages i wanna list and u might wanna consider:

DEFENDERS:

- Can walk in / out walls as they like, striking and going back to refill (in case youre an ele, u can do it even during downed state and comfortable ress inside the walls)
- Can use exclusive siege weapons (cannons, mortars, oil) for both long and short range purposes (They tend to be destroyed by assaulters, but that takes precious time)
- Can organize into portal bombs/rushes while having more chance to be unnoticed while preparing em (thanks to the walls)
- Can have a safe and immediate supply point
- In case of keeps/SM fully upgraded, can waypoint back if they get killed and be immediatly in the middle of fight every 3 minutes (Wipe? 2nd chance. Might have even 3rd.)
- Can call in reinforcements from other Borders / EB and let em be immediatly in the core of action throught the Keep/SM waypoint instead of walking all the way
- Can better organize in case of 3-way-fights (X assaults, Y defends, Z comes in aswell, X and Z are in open field zone while Y can gain time for any purpose)
- Build unreachable sieges inside the walls to counter assaulters ones / putting pressure on the assaulting group

And i might have forgot something else. Assaulters only have surprise factor (if theres no one spotting em, which is rare) and the choice of what side they wanna break in, thats it. Considering all of this, adding the fact defenders now can be even greatly outnumbered and still hold the conquer points, is kinda gamebreaking imho and will make matchups to be win or loss during the first hour of resets and nothing more. Plus, this encourages small group to avoid fight each other to instead build fast an AC in the middle of nowhere and, yeah, first who build it wins the fight, if u get what i mean. If this was a try to destroy zerg mentality, it just will destroy smaller groups and encourages even greater blobbings just to take a t3 tower or a keep.

What i can notice after this patch is a bit of lack of knowledge about WvW game mechanics from the Dev team, and sounds me like “lets buff this outrageously and see what it happens” thingy.

Once again, i remark that im not a WvW expert and i can be wrong on this, but what i suggest, is that before doing such a big changes is better for you Devs to talk and confront with WvW expert guilds, we have many on surmia (wont make names cause i dont wanna risk to forget any of them) they will surely give u precious feedbacks and avoid committing mistakes like this one im sure u’ll fix as soon as possible.

If you don’t care about agony resistance or utility infusions (like Magic Find) there seems to be only two choices…

The 4 for 5 laurels…or the +5 stat/5 agony from mystic forge that take tons of cash/effort to get?

Right at the moment yeah, thats why making these +4 laurels upgradable via MF is a suggestion im making in order to get infusions more worthy of laurels…using 5 laurels to save lot of golds exactly like u can use guild commendations badges to get ascended accessories without spending 40 laurels and 50 ectos…u can call it a shortcut ^^

its + 4 so its not even best for people who do no fractals because the fractal infusions have better stats (+ 5)

= absolutely not worth the price of 5 laurels for giving only + 4 and withtout AR..
1 laurel maybe yes but actually no not even that would be worth it in my opinion^^

Better to save for the Gold Infusion or one of the other special ones then

Exactly my point sir, if just they could be upgradable in MF in a cheaper way would make sense but like this its way way overpriced and half useful :/

You guys dont get my point. I play a lot of WvW too not just fractals, and ascended items can help a lot in WvW fights. Surely i must agree a mere plus 5 on a stat (or 30 if fully ascended geared) is not a big deal but just a way to get towards the best u can be. Still, if i wanna play both fractals lvl 40+ and WvW, why do i have to overwrite (AkA waste my laurels) those infusions to get the agony res one for just 75 relics which takes 1h to get (and not 5 days)? Im not asking for something major, just the chance to upgrade with a MF recipe (hopefully cheaper than getting 250 T6 mats for just a +5) the laurels infusions, which can help to keep an infusion both useful for fractals and WvW and not making em useful for just one way, thats it

You cant upgrade em and you dont get Agony Resistance from em, just a +5 stat for 5 days of doing dailies…theres any point on buying em? Can they be upgraded to have AR other than just a +5 in a base stat? 5 laurels arent a joke, its still 5 days to get em. Thanks for your time!

Surprise surprise! im not talking about sPvP (neither tPvP). Im talking about all these posts concerning “the future of pvp”, “im sick of this/that”, “when we’ll get this/that” guys stop please. First point, i know we all have customer rights to show how were angry at ANet for this silence (or for not giving an ETA, since i see plenty of answers) but this is getting ridiculous…all i can see is plenty of complaint about a game thats not perfect from the release (hmmm…name me one mmorpg that was perfect since release, cant really remember) and ZERO patience. Yes, zero. I want this, i want that, remove this, remove that…dont misunderstand me, i LOVE how the community explains plus and minuses of this game to the Devs, this is just good, a great backup that also shows em how much we care about the game, but this just passed the limit and instead of helpful, became just a whine spam board. Remember that just 4 months, almost 5, passed, anybody of you remember how other games were after 4 months? WoW pvp was better in such low time? LoL? Lineage? Aion? even GW1 was a total MESS after 4 months. Were they giving ETAs about when all the issues were solved? honestly, they werent. Can you all imagine they saying the fixes will come on (for example) January the 16th and the update comes on 18th? Poor forum on these mere 2 days xD. Second point, im also feeling bad about the current state of pvp which is limited, repetitive and unbalanced, but when im tired, i can also go to pve (one of the best ever brought to a mmorpg…i mean cmon, lag apart, u saw the events? were not talking about some chirstmas light in Stormwind and a tree, if u get what im talking about) and have fun with guildies…there are so many things to do and see, and if you are an hardcore gamer, all you have to do is be patient, afterall, these are the guys that made GW1 pvp, which was epic, just give em time and instead of complaining, be constructive talking or take a walk in the park, the whole sPvP REAL community will be thankful

Be patient guys, i know we all want this game to unlock his potential which is reeeeeeeeeally reeeeeeeeally high, but in 4 months, would be a miracle ^^

PS: are you sure that installing a program out of ISP/ANet control that can read the ENTIRE traffic of yours is a wise choice? i’d think twice before doing it ^^

Heres another tracert for you guys, i really wanna give you more informations as possible to solve this and to let you help us all.

U can see for Infostrada the 2 hops with packet loss, especially the 2nd hop that seems to be the cause of everything with 90% Packet losses!!! pingplotter here ran 5 minutes since i logged in.

Tonight was fine but now got again 12 minutes latency A little bit too much for playing)

the fact this is happening during the hours of massive server load is a proof that the ISP isnt the cause of this issue, otherwise it would be up 24/7. There is no “contact your ISP” way, ANet must go into this with the ISP (FastWeb and Infostrada and any other that got this problem) to save an entire country community of customers. Since i trust the professional approach that Anet and NCsoft are putting into their games and projects, im sure something will be done, just looking forward to see some good news.

so this is insane, im playing with infostrada ISP and EVERY game goes fine and smooth. plus, ive tried to ping another server located in the same zone as ANet server (seems to be frankfurt), and i have 0% PL on any HOP. BUT! when i try to ping my GW2 server (Fissure of Woe) on pingplotter (206.127.159.172) i have PL and errors on these 2 hops: 151.6.151.72 and 151.6.92.105. This is DEFINITELY an ANet problem, since the ISP can connect to another frankfurt server with no problems and the other games are going more than fine, and i hope and look forward for a major fix since this issue is involving hundreds of people, maybe thousands, and the event is knocking to our doors. Sure about the work and the attention you’ll pay to this, i send u the best regards.

Hey guys – Thanks so much for all of the data you all have submitted in regards to this issue. Our network engineers have looked into the issue and I think that you have all seen that this does appear to be an issue with the Internet Service Provider, Fastweb. If this is your ISP and you are being affected by this issue, I would highly recommend contacting Fastweb and bringing this issue to their attention so that they can be of further assistance to you.

i’m sorry to say that you’re being a little bit naive.. contacting fastweb will result into speaking with a call center employee, wich usually can’t even understand what a tracert is… also, even if i manage to reach someone that understand what i’m saying it’s likely impossible that an ISP can change a route for 1 customer… i’m afraid you should try to fix this problem on your side or if you can’t/don’t wont you’re gonna loose the entire fastweb community.

And not just fastweb community, also Infostrada, Alice and many others…estimated for what i can see all around forums, 90% of italy is cutted-off from GW2 at the moment im writing.
