Yeah, I got a little curious about this myself at one time, so I headed to Arah P1 to test it with those eye turrets.
Yes, it does indeed start reflecting as soon as you push the button and seems to last around 1 second. And yes, you don’t even have to face the target, as was already confirmed.
As soon as I found out just how nice this little skill really is, I started using it all the time at Mai Trin. When traited with Fireforged Trigger, you can always have it off CD in time for her little Teleporting Shot. With this, I’ve been able to very easily solo her, when a bad group leaves me as the last one standing. 
- Every time there is a Charr in my group, I address them as “Kitty”.
- Quite often when there is an Asura in my group, I will get an “OMG, TOO CUTE!” attack. Pointing at them, and saying things like: “WOOK AT ITZ WITTLE HELMET!”
Hum… What about adding a 100% increase in velocity to the Grenadier Trait?…

I’m having a little trouble understanding this…. A NERF for the Flame Jet? (No more bonus damage for burning.)
I mean… The whole less susceptible to Retaliation is nice, but does that honestly warrant a nerf to an already not so strong attack, to compensate?
With juggernaut trait change and this one, we will finally be able to use flamethrower in zergs. And for the balances sake, it should come with a price.
Yes, that would be fair for WvWvW. But what about PvE?
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a fantastically amazing skill. I was just pointing out that there’s absolutely no reason to not detonate it…
You know what, I actually just made an interesting discovery… The projectile for Flame Blast doesn’t get destroyed upon contact, like I thought it did. This means you can let it pass through an enemy, THEN detonate it, for maximum damage… Of course, it’s often pretty kitten tricky to time.
Thing is, with that, I guess it would be OP to add burn to the Projectile. Since then, you’d be able to get that, as well as the detonate damage.

The flame blast isn’t lacking IF you blow it up, wich you are supposed to do. You also seem to forget that it’s a 6 (!) sec cd blast finisher, wich generates great passive damage. Don’t judge just for damage and cast time. It’s a good skill.

Perhaps that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but more options are always neat?

no1 is doing ok damage now. With more range, more damage and more burning it would be op. Pick one.
no2 5s burning on a 4s skill? Sounds a little bit unbalanced. Personally I’m quite ok with the current flame blast status.no5 That would be truly nice.
Meh, the Flame Blast is seriously lacking, if you don’t detonate it. It’s less damage than a single Rifle AA… Maybe 3s? (Oh, and even when Traited, it’s closer to 5s)
The burning could compliment the Flame Jet, since the Flame Jet does bonus damage to burning targets… But even with that, it would still probably be better to just detonate. :P
But what’s the point? This is all just fantasy.

Alright, I’ll join the fantasy and pretend that Anet will listen. 
Focusing on the Flamethower. 
Flamethrower
- Flame Jet: Range increased to 500. 10% increase in damage. 2s of Burning at range 0-300. 1s of burning at range 300-500.
- Flame Blast: Now applies 5s of Burning. (<- Nevermind, too OP)
- Detonate Flame Blast: Unchanged. (No burning when detonated.)
- Air Blast: Unchanged.
- Napalm: Cooldown reduced to 25s. Now a circular field, Identical to Throw Napalm
- Smoke Vent: 2s of Smoke Field.
Is it useful, now? :P

If anything they should add more jumping puzzle-esque challenges into the dungeons as those puzzles are relatively atmospheric.
Has the traps people want- the running across narrow ledges etc. There is another one in a norn area. I happened across it one day running around.
I dislike the use of those words better, surpassed. its different and in a way that one may or may not like. I would love to say arma is better in everyway to cod/bf/cs but its not. Its simply different. In my eyes saying its better means that if they transplant the whole dungeon to gw2 it will become the most popular dungeon and I find that hard to believe.
I remember the first time I went through that! It was THE most fun I ever had! 
I don’t think the entire game should be like that, but it’s such a breath of fresh air from the “Point-A to Point-B Hack n’ Slash”. 
And I totally agree with your last statement there. Sometimes, I really enjoy getting in to the “Point-A to Point-B Hack n’ Slash”… other times, not so much.

I completely agree with the point Mad Queen Malafide is making that a lot of people are trolling him/her over.
Dungeon designs are too basic.
Hear, hear! And props to Mad, for mentioning DDO… I played that game, and a lot of the Dungeons were truly AMAZING!
I’d sell my soul for a game with GW2’s combat, and Dungeons like DDO/other games.
Then why arent the hordes flocking to DDO. Why am I not downloading as I type? Why cant I find anything online praising DDO’s dungeon design?
DDO is roughly 8.5 years old, and has besides that, other problems slowly killing the game. The population is quite low right now, quite VERY low. I think at this point, barely anyone knows the game even exists.
The game suffers from various forms of Pay to Skip, endless grind for very little gain, utterly pointless and woefully imbalanced PvP, and massive lag on a constant basis. Also, it’s not really “Free to Play”, even though they advertise it as that… Well, ok, it is technically “Free to Play”… But very unreasonable, if you want to play for free.
Some Classes have been so terribly, awfully neglected for YEARS. If you think Necro is useless in GW2 PvE, you haven’t seen DDOs Barbarian.

Deadly Mixture seems to be broken – shows less damage when traited.
No kidding… Gah! I was literally counting the days till I could test it’s maximum DPS potential. So much for that.
