Hey guys I used to play GW2 for a long time and stopped eventually now havent played for over a year or so I was wondering whats considered tier 1 in PvP and WvW nowadays??

I used to main a D/D Ele are they still any good?? I found that to be a very satisfying class to play both in PvP and WvW not sure wether they got nerfed/buffed in mean time.

I did felt always squisher then other warriors (Which never pots) I was like whyyy im EVEN using the slaying potion…. Gawd Anet ;p

As the title says i’m looking for a Guild that does a lot of Dungeons it would save me much hassle everyday when doing my Dungeon runs instead of with random pugs/leavers.

My graphics are a bit tuned down since i’m basically living in WvW but ah well xD

In WvW Ele’s are still insane powerhouses I almost feel like a God on them in PvP on the other hand ugh… You gotta put in so much effort for so little result better roll Necros or Rangers lololol………………… /sarcasm ;( buff PvP Ele’s!

Because we can summon an Ice Bow… Like how we can’t use Hammer/Greatsword/Shield/Axe yet Summon variants of them. Only missing some Rifle stuff now I guess zzz

I hardly play on my Ele anymore sometime for PvP lulz. I feel lack luster in WvW roaming somehow maybe me build has gotten meh over the months I dunno.

What kind of builds are you guys running feels like I can’t make a good balance between armor/health/power.

Currently at 1610 Tougness 2120 Power 92% Crit Damage 38% Crit Chance but a miserable 14.500 HP I don’t want to sac anymore Toughness but saccing any more power makes my hits tickle my opp. even more.

Have u tried out the new Armor yet Condi/Tough/Vit? Should make u a tanky beast if I look at it

Yea guildmates also suggested Engi because it has similar playstyle to that of an Ele so def. a thing I should try out as well then. Are they good 1v1/2 in WvW though? Also since I was out for a month or 2 how are those Regen Warriors now? Did Anet do anything to them or are they still tanky as hell

How beneficial is the 1 extra second stealth? Would Master of Redirection work better over it for another 33% extra Confusion Duration?

Reading the overal replies I guess I am gonna take a shot with my Mesmer so far I’ve only really used it in PvP so you’d say a Condi+Stealth build is the way to go on Mesmer’s in WvW?

I’m on Aurora Glade as well! Also yea they are still good but compared to few months back the overal damage is lacking usually I win fights now by simply outlasting them with all the healing I got. Plus if I get in trouble when a group appears out of nowhere it’s hard to escape with RTL @ 40.

So you’d also say a Condi build for Mesmer works best? Am thinking bout rolling Mesmer now ye but don’t you feel slow on it roaming they don’t got access to swiftness right? The Stunlolol Warriors yea their fun I use them alot in PvP but get’s bored real fast as well since your pretty much doing the same rotation over and over I like to adapting to the situation better.

Another that recommends Mesmer hmhm I had to look up the Perp Runes and gotta say wow ._. Are they new? Never knew them pretty powerfull effect. What kinda trait setup would these Condi/Stealth builds running?

Yea I know bud perm stealth Thiefs so ridiculous. They cant win and just escape no way of catching them or they keep poking you gain health in stealth poke again until ur dead. But yea dont really like the overall mechanics of the Thief ;[

So after all nerfhammers that struck Ele’s I feel slighty underpowered as a WvW Roamer besides playing it for a year now getting kinda tired of them. Sooo, I need a new effective class to Roam around with fighting 1v1 / 1v2’s.

Which classes are good besides the obvious “Thieves best roamer stealth gggg” because I think Thieves are lame. (’;

Armor is very overused but the Staff/Shoulder Combi is a nice find!

As the title says i’m interested in a EU Guild that does a lot of tPvP and some WvW. (Mostly PvP though)

Getting kinda tired to get stuck with random pugs that are kittenty.

Got access to T3/Skype and a working Mic.

It’s not really restricting it’s just the classes they need for their team comp in the open spots you don’t wanna run around with 3 bunker guards now do ya.

You’re stats look pretty nice mate. Question though what trait setup did you use as an D/D and did u use this gear setup for that?

I’m not fond of S/D in WvW and lately I feel my damage is really lacking after the bountiful power nerf im a bit high on tougness sure I can tank loads but seems like its getting harder and harder taking certain classes down.

I PvP quite a lot and recently I’ve heard lots of talks/complaints of the “Spirit” Ranger.

I’ve seen some run around but not really engaged with one what makes them so annoying/good?

More importantly how would a build look like what Weapons/Traits do they use obviously 30 in nature magic but the rest?

Does anyone know if Macro’s/AHK is allowed for stuff like playing songs on instruments? I know the official mouse of GW2 has build in macro programs but I rather ask before I’ll get banned for nothing.

The thing with me is i’m not missing ANYTHING my whole hint box is cleared yet i’m missing 2 achievements it’s really annoying.

So when I check my hint box every single item is checked/cleared yet i’m missing two achievements somehow are there some you need to do that are “secret” or is this bugged?

Think you don’t realize that most of the people/pugs in WvW are terrible players that don’t know other classes besides their own and have no idea how to fight certain classes and either don’t ress at all or have no idea person get’s stealth stomped etc

So the mechanics that thieves have had since beta are an exploit, and the class should be nerfed, because wvw is full of terrible players? Did i really just read that?

Getting Crit in the mix for Burning Precision is my latest test I like it so far it proc’s alot thanks to Fury.

The amount of hits u can take is pretty crazy with 2000+ Toughness and your dodges. While stackin dem bleeds/burn/poison DoT’s them away pretty fast.

Haven’t tried in WvW though since I don’t feel like getting the gear lol still trustworthy 0/10/0/30/30 there.

Yes, those kittening thieves and one of their main means of survivability. Screw them for not having enough armour, health, blocks, kitten load of healing and condition removal. Let’s appease the morons who think everyone must stand still and man it up in fights.

Nobody said anything about standing still and fight. Stealthing is oke but every 2 sec. is just not balanced at all.

Just as that Koroshi vid all he did was continuously hit skill 5 to do little damage and stealth and he could get this guy in a whole zerg. That’s not how it’s ment to be imo lol.

I’ll check the traits out ye this seems quite abusable.

So i’ve encountered a few thieves today which seem to stealth every 2 sec then re-appear hit you stealth again.

He didn’t do all that great damage but eventually he’d win because there’s no way I could get him he shortbows away stealth pretty much 90% of the time.

I couldn’t remember thieves could stealth so MUCH is it a specific build because I like to know seems fun he was continuously fighting 1v5 not dying ;/

So I just spend my “hard earned” gold to buy these Holographic Dragon Wings to use them in PvP (It’s pretty much all I do lately in GW2) just to notice everytime I use the skill Ride the Lightning the Wings dissapear… I can only get them back by un and re-equipping of the Wings which can’t be done within the match itself so I pretty much wasted my money..

Just wanted to say in case they’re not aware of this bug ;<

The Light/Medium/Heavy Dragon Helmets that most of us allready got are those once per account or once per character.

Because I did my Light helm for the normal world but I kinda want it in PvP as well so I was wondering if that’s possible.

Basicly what the title says I got 9 Achievements done yet the progress for the wings show I’ve done 7.

But now should I take my chances with my 100G to spend on daggers and try forging the Spark or should I save an crazy long time to get to 500G and buy the Spark straight up… Not sure whats better or what the odds are

Hey guys i’m pretty much set with everything all I need now is angel’s luck of getting a Precursor I did had a question about them though if you get a precursor is it random or is it based on the type of weapon thrown in? Like 4 dagger = Spark 4 bow = legend ??

Besides that what is the cheapest lv80 dagger to craft yourself does anyone know?
