I keep getting the error “the game cannot access the login server at this time. this is usually due to security application, firewall…blah blah blah” when I try to log in. The game gets to the character select screen but when I try to select a character that error pops up. I have literally changed nothing in my internet connection, firewall settings, security applications, etc. Everything worked fine yesterday.
I get the error “Guild Wars 2 has been updated. Please exit and relaunch it” when trying to queue into unranked or ranked. I downloaded the patch, exited and relaunched multiple times, switched characters as well as maps. Nothing has worked.
Like the title says, are there any speed dungeon tour guilds recruiting? I mainly play NA EST into early PST.
Does soulbound gear change to account bound on the respective character’s deletion?

Says that in the article on how to enable e-mail authentication but when I log in to GW2 I can’t see a “send” button anywhere. Any ideas? I do have mobile authentication enabled if that somehow cancels it out or something.
Tried to duo queue today with two different people and both times got removed from queue whenever either of us tried to queue for unranked. Anyone else having this problem?
Seems like my finisher is resetting to the default one every time I swap characters or even load a new map. I know one other person in my guild is having the same problem, having to reset their finisher after every PvP match. Is anyone else having this issue? Is Anet aware of it?

GvG isn’t what it used to be, but its still far from dead.
Perhaps in EU but in NA there is literally like 2 or 3 guilds left worth fighting.

Experienced commanders who know more than just how to zerg.
Large, organized groups that play WvW regularly and are invested in going for the win and not just personal advancement or fun.
Cooperation between these groups. That is, if someone says in map chat “Our hills are under attack by a group of 40!”, in less than a minute, all the main commanders know about it and a force is dispatched to take care of it.
A good, solid late night/early morning crew. Typically this means players from another country, but not always.
The next two are hard to find because they aren’t that fun for most people.
Scouts. (Some people have two accounts and keep a scout on a separate monitor that they just glance at from time to time or switch to when swords appear on the map.)
People who repair walls, build defensive siege, and keep siege updated so it does not disappear. It’s frustrating to have trebs and omegas vanish because nobody kept them up.

it really doesn’t matter. NA WvW/GvG is dead anyway, the number of guilds left that are worth fighting you can count on one hand. And don’t be ridiculous “not take spots on the maps where we’re trying to earn points for our world, or at least go to a place where people usually don’t go” in T2 where all of the serious GvG guilds are there are no queues for the BL maps where most guilds go to find what little fights are left to be found.
You know “what’s up with that” is that this is how those people have fun. No one is forcing you to join in. If you don’t like it then go and do something else. There are no “spots being taken up” because this game is dead. But don’t worry, the whole focus on GvG and fights is for the most part dead, so I doubt you will see these people for much longer.

you still don’t address the fact that this merger will create more queues and more skill lag. Like I’ve said and other people have said, as well, tier 1 needs to destack, not the other way around. Sure, merging lower tiered servers into 1-2 will create balance, but it will also lock out thousands of people from WvW because of the queues and since every map will most likely have a 60+ man blob running around it will be unplayable. This is not the answer. And after reading through this thread I can’t understand how you can still argue for your “solution.” Your idea won’t solve the issue at hand which is the fact that tier 1 and most of tier 2 is stacked far beyond what is necessary and needs to destack in order for balance to be achieved, at least in more tiers than 1.
Your idea won’t be implemented because 1) its awful and 2) anet doesnt give a kitten about WvW and hasn’t from the launch of the game. Once season 2 is over the game mode will die.
only strategy is to make sure your blob is the biggest and the only helpful advice is to have a large amount of gold so your server can buy guilds to make sure the former happens

I understand that stacking servers is what the game mode rewards and that it is more fun to be on a more populated server. I merely pointed out that the population imbalances are caused not by lower tier servers having small populations but rather that people decided to stack the higher tier servers. I never said it was dishonest or unfair or whatever.
It’s understandable that the people from the stacked servers will come in and be defensive about it. Personally I don’t care. But the point remains that the top 3-4 servers stacking is what created the problem and they need to lose the people in order to fix the problem. Merging lower tiered servers is not the solution.
give up on server pride, its overrated. all these people arguing about which server is best and kitten when it really doesn’t matter and they contribute little it anything to that server’s success. WvW is 100% won by who has the best overnight coverage, so don’t worry about how your server is performing, rather, make it your goal to have fun during the time zone you play in and forget about the rest.

This same kitten has happened time and time again where they ask us to make a thread listing all the problems we feel need fixing with WvW and then they look at it nod their heads go “uh huh, we’re taking this into consideration” and leave to work on how to implement more useless PvE stuff into WvW like the failure that EotM was.

That would mean me paying to contribute to the problem. This isn’t an issue that should be swept aside. And “get over it” is a terrible way to view things, we should fight and keep pushing for balance or else nothing will change.
Come on man, be realistic. Threads like this are made almost daily with people complaining about the problems with WvW. I’m right there with you, I enjoy WvW and wish the community were more open to balancing/destacking servers and Anet actually gave a kitten. But realistically nothing will change. People will continue to stack the top servers regardless of transfer pricing changes and Anet will continue to have no idea what they’re doing in terms of balancing WvW. Like I said, get over it and just accept it.
Look at how the fallout of S1 completely destroyed almost all of the tiers in NA. WvW will probably be alright for the duration of S2 but after I doubt the game-type will continue to see the activity it used to. Most people are getting bored or have already quit the game. I’m sorry man, like I said, I agree with you and wish something was done to better balance the game-type but realistically it won’t happen.

Yes it sucks that servers buy guilds and stack but nothing is getting balanced. Not by Anet or the WvW community. Get over it. The best you can do is take it upon yourself to transfer to a server that you will have fun on.

Its just the meta build with staff. Is there anything better? The thing that bothers me is that there is nothing worth while in the master trait line. I enjoy playing GS/Staff so I’d like to keep those two weapons. Any suggestions?

Servers for leagues were decided at last weeks reset this week is an intermediate week.
How do you know? What servers are in what league then?
Patch notes states “North America and Europe have been split into three leagues each: gold, silver, and bronze.” Please let us know if the servers for each league have already been decided upon before people start spending their gems on transfers.

Like the title says I completed a fractal lvl 16 after daily reset. Did not do any fractals before then and yet did not receive a reward daily reward chest. What gives? My fractal reward level was 8 at the time. Does it have to be above 10 or something to get rewards from that tier?

I can tell you without a doubt that everyone on FA right now cares about staying in tier 2. Our fair-weathers left a long time ago and anyone who plays wvw on FA right now is playing for the server and for gold league and gives a kitten about “stupid gvg politics” or at least enough of a kitten to keep playing to ensure good fights. So I can tell you with confidence that FA will do everything it can to make sure its SoS/Mag/FA in tier 2. I can’t speak for sos or mag but I think they are more inclined to agree with my point of view than yours.
There are no fair weathers left in tier 2. Everyone who WvWs on tier 2 right now is there to ensure fights and they know that DB wont bring as good of them as FA and or Mag will.

Statistically even odds of either Maguuma or FA dropping down to T3… I hope it happens this week and not a week from tomorrow.
I’m kinda hoping it will be Maguuma, as Maguuma will focus on SoS for fights and that might allow DB to gain more points. I know we can count on FA to focus the weaker server.

DB will not be in gold, FA SoS and mag will do everything they can to keep the gvg paradise as it is. If DB comes up expect them to get focused 24/7 by whatever real T2 servers they are matched with.
Fort Aspenwood likes to karma train more than fights, hence how the silver leagues turned out last year.
Don’t worry about what this rude and bad player says, he is no longer on FA (thank god). On the contrary, FA very much does NOT karma train and almost exclusively plays for fights unless we really need to PPT in order to remain in T2.
