Hey,

So my hard drive crashed and nothing was salvageable. Among the files lost was the “cd-key” for my account.

I bought the game before beta tests, so everything was done digitally. I got everything through email. However, with the amount of email hacks that were going on, I decided to put the key into a secure file elsewhere on my computer before deleting the email that contained that information.

I don’t need it right now, nor do I know if I’ll need it in the future.

I’d like to know if there’s any way I could find out what my “key” is.
If I am ever hacked and my account stolen, would I need that information?

Just covering my kitten in case anything crazy happens.

I am still getting some guild chat issues. Not all members are experiencing this.

I am able to chat with my guild just fine. What has been said in guild chat disappears whenever I switch tabs in the chat window or when I use a waypoint. The distance from the waypoint does matter. From the Diverse Ledges Waypoint in Lion’s Arch, if I walk straight north a few steps away from Cassin Hoppal, I can waypoint back to Diverse Ledges without guild chat disappearing on me.

I can still use guild chat, but everything that was previously said in guild chat goes away.

I just changed my password today, which I thought always needed your account serial number? Anyways, off topic. I decided to activate the Mobile Authenticator for my account. It activated perfectly, everything seems fine. When I went to log in to the game, there was no UI or anything asking for the code from the Authenticator, same with the forum log in, though I don’t know if the forum has that or not.

Just wondering what’s wrong and how this Authenticator works?

I’ve never had that issue before. On my MasterCard it would show up as exactly what I purchased in gems. Far as I know the Canadian dollar and usd have never been exactly at par since launch.

I am at work on my phone, so I’ll submit a support ticket this afternoon.

I wanted to buy some gems for the march daily sales – so I did some research and went with the RBC Visa Gift Card ($50 Value) – because of the no usage or maintenance fees.

Last night I tried purchasing 4000 gems for $50 – with no tax listed on the end sale before confirmation, I thought it would work – tried three times – came up as a failed attempt.

So I went lower, to the $20 option – this worked twice. Thought I would try the $10 option to finish off the card, but another failed attempt.

At this point I’m confused, I did not see any taxes listed on the end sale on the gem store, so I checked the gift card balance – the two $20 gem purchase transactions were not listed as $20.00 but as $22.85.

I’m just confused is all. Is there an extra fee from the gem store I don’t know about or taxes that have recently been added but not showing up? Was hoping to get the full use of the $50 and 4000 gems. But now I’ve used $45.70 and only 3200 gems available.

Like I said, I’ll submit a ticket once I get home this afternoon, just looking for insight here and such.

Hey, Twice now i’ve been playing the sanctum sprint and the client crashes coming up with a window asking if i want to send a report to Anet, which I have.

no error code or anything that i’ve seen. if it happens again i’ll get a screen shot and see if there’s more info available.

has anyone had this yet?

The RNG from the chests has been done to death. I’d like to not talk about that.

What I would really like to see implemented is a different way to obtain the weapon skins.

Anet, you seem to have started with some of the armor at least. I am speaking of the Holographic Dragon Wing Cover.

Now, at the merchant, that costs 100 Jorbreakers. This is a crazy amount of Zhaitaffy to obtain and spend, which I am completely fine with. What I love about this, is that these wings have been dropping from the Dragon Coffers (correct me if I am wrong there.) Anet, you have provided us with an alternate way of obtaining this item, which is also available on the Trading Post.

All I am asking is for an alternate way to obtain these awesome new weapon skins that have been introduced to us. Something to work towards. Something at the end of the tunnel that is reachable by means of progression or otherwise. Something that won’t leave a whole chunk of us devastated when we open hundreds of coffers and no tickets.

I myself have opened 20 Rich Dragon Coffers with no sign of any Jade Weapon Ticket. I’ve opened close to 400 regular Dragon Coffers with no sign of a ticket.

I was really looking forward to getting a sclerite shield. Now i’m looking at the Jade Shield skin. I’m wondering what awesome skin will be next that I can go for.

Again. Simply asking for an alternate way to obtain these wicked skins. =)

Mystery lurking in the deep, a fear of unimaginable size, destroying and claiming what it desires. All of Tyria runs but we are drawn closer, not by force though. We chose this connection to the nameless Leviathan.

We are a guild focused on the PvE side of Guild Wars 2. We love getting into the dungeons, fractals, Orr and basically anywhere else there is to explore!

We are looking for active and social people to join our guild. We are most active in the afternoon/evening and weekends. Currently we will not be exceeding the 50 player limit for our guild. Our goal is to build a community of players that love playing the game together. To do that, we have put a cap on our guild size. We believe a smaller guild such as ours will be able to grow as a stronger community since we actually know who we’re talking to in the guild.

We have dabbled in WvWvW and sPvP, but that is not our focus. We go into WvWvW here and there to help our server out where we can and get some map completion done.

As for Guild Missions, even with our small size we have been able to upgrade to the point of, well, almost being able to do the full Guild Bounty Missions. At the moment we have been researching Guild Bounty Training Missions and attempting those to help us get ready for the big guns.

that’s kind of all i’m asking for. is to have all available skins in game tradeable. =( if only.

that’s part of it. you can either farm the hell out of mobs (great detour away from the manifesto) – or purchase from the gem store.

very low chance from mobs – then very low chance at skin from the box…

wouldn’t it be nice to be able to have a sclerite weapon skin itself drop from mobs? kitten hell the RNG is getting rediculous and reminiscent of WoW.

why are weapon/armor skins not available to be found from something other than that purchased in the gem store? the box is available to be purchased from the gem store.

hell, at least have the skins tradeable.

another question.
say i have sigil of energy on my greatsword, and i’m using scepter/focus for weapon swap, sigil of life on the scepter, what would i put on the focus?

know what i’m getting at? should i put a sigil of life & energy on each main/offhand (respectively) ?

that part has always been confusing to me.

Omnom chocolate gives 20% not 40%

I have 30 in Virtues – 30% boon duration
Chocolate omnom cream – 20%
2 major/superior rune of water & 2 superior rune of the monk – 40%

Gives me 90% boon duration. Which I believe is 38 seconds of swiftness with Retreat. Extra 19 seconds with Save Yourselves. Plus I use II in Honor for shouts to recharge 20% faster. Combine that with the staff and you’re set =)

Ok. Here are the traits.

Valor: 10
-V: Purity-Lose a Condition every 10 seconds

Honor: 30
-II: Superior Aria-Shouts Recharge 20% faster
-VI: Pure of Heart-Aegis heals on removal
Switching to either:
-I: Aegis gives retaliation when it ends
-X: Writ of the Merciful-Symbols heal allies
The switch depends on the fight and weapons I’m using.
-XII: Battle Presence-Nearby Allies gain Virtue of Resolves Passive effect

Virtues: 30
-I: Unscathed Contender-Deal 10% more damage while under the effects of aegis
Or II: Vengeful-Retaliation lasts 25% Longer
-IX: Absolute Resolution-Activating Virtue of Resolve cures three conditions. VoR passive effect is stronger
-X: Indomitable Courage: Virtue of Courage grants 3 sec of stability. VoC passive triggers every 30 seconds

I believe that’s all I have for that. Again, depending on the situation and weapons I switch things around.

For utility skills I always have three shouts going unless the reflection wall is needed.
I use Renewed Focus for my elite. Signet of resolve for healing.

Currently the build I am experimenting with focuses a lot on boon duration, Survivability and support.

I won’t go into the traits, as I am quite comfortable with them as is, being able to switch to a few different ones depending on the situation.

Currently I am sporting all cleric’s armor.

I’m stuck on what I should do for my weapons. I’m planning on cycling through all the weapons, again depending on the situation.

What should I go for in the upgrade slots on my weapons?
Should I go for more healing power or vitality? I’m working on getting new trinkets and properly statted weapons, so I can’t really post any definitive stat info right now. Other than my boon duration being 90% with omnom food.

I’m planning on going for the exquisite sapphire stuff for trinkets. Eventually get to Thackeray Family Crest, Durmand’s Pen, Royal Signet of Doric and Koss on Koss for ascended trinkets/back.

Should I go with all crest of the soldier on the weapons? The only sigil that really works for me is the superior sigil of life. But having that on every weapon is useless.

Any suggestions? Anything else I should go for?

We are based on the west coast in North America looking for players from any North American timezone, keep in mind that we are usually online in the afternoons, evenings and weekeds in Pacific Standard Time.

The reason we desire to keep the guild smaller is because this will make the guild easier to manage. Also, it allows players within the guild to better interact with one another. We believe a smaller guild will have a stronger community. We do have Ventrilo available to us.

PvE
We plan to run a lot of dungeons as a guild, helping players get exotic weapons and armor from them. We also intend to explore as much of the content as possible which includes dragons, Orr, living story, personal story and beyond.

Legendary Weapons
We would like to aid everyone in our guild in acquiring at least one of these weapons for each guild m­ember. We don’t expect it to happen quickly, but it is a long-term goal of the guild.

WvWvW
For this, we will likely collaborate with other guilds. We do not currently have a commander within our guild, but we would eventually like to have at least one.
sPvP This will be a later focus of the guild, taking a back seat to our other goals. We do eventually wish to participate in tournaments, so practice will be important. We don’t presently play a lot of sPvP, but we can occasionally be found there.

Guild Missions
We really want to participate in the new guild missions, but we need more members to get enough influence to do so! With these implemented into the game, they will become a strong focus for our PvE side of things.

I’m at 225 for armorsmithing, now I find your guide and I don’t know where to start with getting mats and such for the tier that I am in.

Took me 30 minutes to finish today’s daily. Veteran, gatherer, craft, dodge and events.

I’m sorry but this has turned from the player base asking for variety, ArenaNet providing, noob player base complaining, the rest of us saying “Learn to Play”

What other things are underground that we know of that have a link with what’s happening? I can’t think of anything. Could it be something from way up north? I’m wondering if its one thing/entity causing this or two? Or two halves joining as one?

Asura are underground, could rogue Asura be experimenting underground?

I quite love this story arc so far =D

I don’t believe the focal point of this arc is where the events are happening right now.

They are seeking refuge from something. “Earth and sky seem to have become the enemy”

Flame legion does not have much to do with earth elementalist or dust storms. Svanir don’t have much to do with ice elementals, but that depends on the lore behind the origin of ice elementals.

The only area off the top of my head where earth and ice elementals coexist is the village in Kessex by the wizards tower.

Considering the vast distance between the wizards tower and the living story events we could rule that out.

Instead of focusing on location at the moment, we should figure out what these elementals and storms are linked to, if anything, in the guild wars lore.

Who or what has control of earth and sky?

Currently I have everything in the graphics menu set to high and ultra, everything checked etc. I notice though, that some ground textures are not very defined, such as those on mountains when climbing to a vista. The first that comes to mind is the path to the vista in the southern part of the Trionic Lattice in Frostgorge Sound.

My question: Will there be any updates to the graphics of the game this year? Will there be an option at some point in time to select “ultra” for every option?

last i saw on reddit, someone mentioned it was just over 1Gb

I see no issues with the new daily system. The new format was faster for me, I was able to complete everything within 30 minutes it seemed. It brings variety, which people have been asking for.

my only issue is that the “menu” of the daily completion minimizes if you go near an event and a heart. I liked having it visible at all times, having to click to expand got on my nerves a bit, but that’s just me.

how hard is this to understand? from the first time they mentioned how the server population worked it made sense.

like CC Eva says in the above link, if a server is Full – it’s because of the amount of players currently online and playing at the moment. hence the fluctuation from full to very high to high depending on the time of day.

Some screenshot info on the error that pops up.

The picture says it all. I completed the Pumpkin Carving last, so far. Does this not count towards the Emissary Title? I did submit a bug in-game under user interface -> hero panel. wasn’t sure what else to put it under. I wanted to mention it on the forums as well in case others have had this as well.

Same thing happened to me as with nerva. the first chapter so far for my sylvari the male voices were cut out. not just the voices but the animation of them speaking. their gestures were working it seemed.

I am wondering if this is intended or a bug.

I have two daggers equipped, one with a major sigil of bloodlust and the other with a major sigil of precision. When I kill a monster, only the bloodlust is stacking, I am not gaining +7 precision for each foe I kill even though the sigil is on the weapon.

I am not entirely sure how sigils work either, that’s why i’m asking this. Can only one sigil be active at a time?
