Been broken since last night so just over 12-13 hours now I believe and the bug has not even been acknowledged as far I’m aware.
Running a pet-less build at the moment so that’s nice I guess…
Same here it looks like they finally fixed Ranger, at least in HoTM.
Its looks like there is a nice game breaking bug that doesn’t allow you to access your pets in HoTM.
The Active pet button does nothing when I enter HoTM works everywhere else, but hey at least WHAO got fixed within 24 hours…
No one is going to waste an entire heal to transfer boons for 2-3 seconds this change is a complete joke along with this “Balance Patch” Rangers got which did not address any of the core issues of the class.
Now at best if you use WHAO for its intended purpose which is to heal you are gaining at best 1-2 seconds of any useful boons and a few stacks of might.
Why not just remove the change to WHAO entirely because no one is going to bother using it now anyways.
No daecollo after huge complaints about the BM ranger we lost “gain quickness on pet swap” and recieved the kittentiest MANDATORY trait in the game “your pet gains quickness for 5 sec when you are down” We cant pick up anything in the BM line without first picking up this crap. Many ppl including me have abandoned the BM line completely. I have yet to see any other class have to take such an unneeded/useless trait for their class mechanic.
You should probably check the warrior minor traits in tactics before stating something like having the worst minor trait in the game, our grand-master minor trait is 1 stack of might upon reviving someone…
Banner regen builds mean not only is your DPS beyond laughable but you’re also nowhere near as good a bunker as a Guardian or Engi. Any amount of strong condition damage would destroy this, in fact a bit of poison wrecks it completely.
You’re kidding right?
Have you played a 0/10/30/30/0 build in PVT/Cleric w/ a mix of Celestial?
Conditions are not bad w/ Cleansing Eire, Lemon and 23k health.
I do love how warriors are the only ones with access to food buffs and certain runes like melandru, a 0/10/30/30/0 also has none of the traits that allow them to quickly recharge their adrenaline making Cleansing ire pretty much crap.
Sure, if you’re talking 1v1.
What your saying doesn’t even make sense, so warriors are OP with this spec if another class is there to remove conditions off of them?, you can’t bring in non-class specific crap as an argument to something being overpowered.

You can’t go wrong with either both are fun and great in their own ways and both have downsides, I would say make both and go to the heart of the mists try them both out since you will have access to all weapons/skills then choose.
But lets take a break from the Shout build I use, lets check out my friend who uses a more Banner oriented build.
He uses 3 banners
- 400-500 HP per second
- +170 Healing
- +10% boon duration
- +170 Toughness
- +170 Vitality
- +170 Power (from traits)
- Each one can cast swiftness
- 1 of them has a heal cast with 10 second CD
- 1 of them can AOE Rally
- That same one can cast Stability
- All of this over a MASSIVE AREA and can be taken to the next location and once they are dropped, no work need be done, its all passive. Then he just yells “For Great Justice”
Hahahahahaha
I have been playing a Guardian since Beta, so don’t think I am unfamiliar, Blasino.3128.
All of these are supposed to be the strengths of the Guardians, yet the Warrior does it better, faster, and more often, barely has to spec for it, is much more mobile, and still does damage. At least now that I have a consensus that you are all on the same page and similar builds I know it wasn’t me. I was playing the guardian to their fullest.
All that support and still cant take a real hit ( due to low health pool)
I can get the same effect from my Warrior and stay on the front line like a man.
P.S. Please don’t forget to spell check kids… a little goes a long way.
Why don’t you actually play a banner build before posting this nonsense.
+No conditional removal
+Regen only stacks in duration not power
+It takes 2-3 seconds just to pickup and put down a banner
+You lose all your weapon skills and do no damage when holding one
+96 Sec traited cooldown with 60 sec duration (nothing better then throwing down 3 banners in WvW just to have the Zerg run off leaving them there)
+192 Sec traited cooldown on Elite banner with 65s duration (AoE stability buff when holding banner is only 3 seconds with a 15 sec cooldown)
+Banner buffs don’t stack, Boons/condition removal from shouts do
+Your a crappy buff bot with long cooldowns and 0 killing power
Banners are only used in bunker builds in s/tPVP specifically for the regen and in pve for the 15% crit damage that is pretty much it.
Shouts are superior in WvWvW with soldier runes you get 3x 2k+ heals on much shorter cooldowns with AoE stun/condition removal and no chance of ever wasting cooldowns do to group movement.
That is like 4500 damage every 3 secs assuming you are hitting a 50% damage reduction from armor (which is over 3700+ armor) you must be getting 1500+ health regen per sec? I must be using the wrong healing signet…
it’s called dodges, endure pain, blocks etc. use it.
on topic: yes the healing signet is most op heal in the game. you don’t even have to use it even.
“Just /dance and watch as it negates it while drinking coffee.”
Why do you even bother posting everything you say is nonsense backed by more nonsense I don’t even use healing signet its not that great unless you are rolling some cheesy regen build with 0 damage output.

5 successful attempts out of 20 from one of the best solo players in the game, good luck to any normal folks attempting this.
Go with a high dps scepter build and just auto to prevent cleaving is what I would do, did it on my warrior with rifle on the first attempt wasn’t even using a dps build/gear.
Reasons why this fight is is not fun
1. Cheesy 1 shot mechanics that require you to literally make 0 mistakes
3. Phase 2 forces target loss on her making you constantly have to re-target her
4. A timer that enforces perfect play even further, falling to your death when she is at 10% health is just super fun.
5. Either needing a rez or running all the kitten way back every time you fail because this fight isn’t nearly frustrating enough as is.
5. kittenty design that causes people to have FPS issues and dealing with kittened camera angles on a fight as hard as this one is a joke.
Honestly having the camera shoved up my kitten constantly is my biggest issue it just completely ruins it for me.
This should have been instanced having to deal with the zerg tanking your frame rate is a complete joke and the camera being squished right up to your character from the stupid dome is laughable was this intentional just to make it even more difficult for certain races? I honestly can’t believe this stuff wasn’t brought up in the testing phase.
That is not possible so either you were mistaken or that guy knows of an exploit to negate the 10 Sec cooldown, there is no trait the removes the cooldown entirely.
Its not stealth its invisibility which are two entirely different things and GW2 has the worst “stealth” system I have seen in any MMO ever you can’t balance a class around needing to be invisible 90% of the time its completely kittened.
Last time I checked it does, but the tooltip doesn’t actually update properly for stances with the duration trait and I don’t think it actually works on Frenzy at all.
Balance stance is just a poor mans version of guardians “Stand your ground” which can be traited for a 24 sec cooldown and effects allies, but this really isn’t about balance its about the fact the Balance stance does not function at all like the other stances and it should or don’t call it a stance because by the rules applied to the other 3 stances it is not.
Grant unshakable for 8 secs remove the swiftness bonus would make more sense since right now balanced stance is closer to a shout in terms of how it functions.
So basically what I am reading is warriors are OP because people don’t want to use builds that counter this one?
I guess +condition duration food and runes don’t exist or running some skills to counter their stuns?
Its a shout so it should be an AOE, so I would say make it apply 5 stacks of vulnerability and weakness in an AOE for 5-10 secs maybe slightly increase the cooldown would be nice right now it is a pretty bland skill.
Lets break down the Guardian skill traits
Zeal Tree- VI, X, XI Spirit weapons 0 conflicting Spirit weapon traits
Radiance Tree- II, IX, XII 0 conflicting signet traits
Valor- I, X, XII 0 conflicting meditation traits
Honor- II, XI 0 conflicting shout traits
Virtues- III, VI 0 conflicting consecration traits
I have an 80 Guardian and no there are 0 Conflicts you can spec everything for a specific skill set if you wish and Honor has amazing minor traits….
As for revival traits well those are a sick joke no other class even has any revival minor traits that I can find, there are some major ones but those are a choice and you are not stuck with 3 useless minor traits when soloing or in a Dungeon with competent people that are not going to be downed and even when reviving someone these traits aren’t even noticeable.
I think this tree is in need of an update it is poorly designed and thought out especially the minor traits.
Out of the 120 minor traits in game currently I could only find 3 that were completely useless in a solo environment and didn’t directly benefit the user in any real way seems like the Devs just didn’t care when they tossed this tree together, If the other 117 Minor traits are designed to directly benefit the user in pretty much any situation then why do these 3 traits even exist?
The other problem stems from the Master trait where they shoved both lung capacity and shrug it off under it so you can only spec one or the other, compare that to a guardian and there isn’t a single conflict such as this when speccing for certain skills such as shout/signets/meditations/spirit weapons.
Honestly the Tactics tree really represents how much the Devs don’t care about fixing any this warrior related, this Trait tree shouldn’t even exist in its current state and yet this stuff has been around since the games release.
