It is very annoying to juggle weapon sets, especially on a class like guardian where it is pretty much required.

Anet: gemstore consumable system to unlock additional weapon slots ? hmmmm ? You would be making a killing …

Fast-cast ground targetting needs two small improvements:

- we should be able to turn fast-cast ground targetting on a skill by skill basis (like league of legends has done since the very beginning). An option for fast-cast on key up (so that you get the range indicator displayed still, but you still only need one key-press) would be good too. This would be similar to lol’s option of “show range indicators”

- clicking on a skill should disable fast-cast targetting … I just want to learn the range of my skills …

I strongly believe that a large amount of skills in this game should be ground targettable instead of auto-locking into a target as they are currently

Let’s consider a skill like warrior mace 5. This attack is a line projectile that stuns enemies along its path. Currently, it automatically goes toward your target. This has the following issues:

- in pvp, it is very easy to dodge because of the path prediction algorithm being bad a its job

- if you don’t know where your target is exactly, you might fire in an uncontrolled direction

- it is difficult to aim it at another enemy than your current target

- because you don’t know exactly where your target is, you sometimes cancel it by accident (by turning your back to the direction of cast). this actually happens a lot as a A/M warrior, because all your other attacks don’t care about your target and you just cleave around

If this skill (and other well chosen skills) were to become ground targettable, it would give us choices and enable us to land crazy good skills that stun multiple people at the same time, and it would also make it easier to use. It would also enable us to correct for the bad movement anticipation algorithm.

Other skills that could benefit from such a system are “rush” skills (ride the lightning, etc), and I don’t know other classes enough to know what other examples could benefit from this.

on the contrary, engi grenades should have an option to auto-fire on target position (and it would be even better if this happens before I get carpal tunnel)

Don’t put master of terror inside curses, imo. That would stack that tree too much.

Make greater marks the minor adept trait of the 3rd line, and remove Reanimator from the game. Add a trait that helps scepter users generate life force.

However, you get increasing returns on vitality for each point of toughness you have, making is so that you want to balance out a little bit between vitality and toughness. Also, there is a point after which you might have enough toughness and you might want to invest in other stats

Duration of Corrupted Boon conditions

Hello everyone,

I couldn’t find this information on the wiki, so I figured this forum is the best place to ask.

What is the duration of the conditions that result from flipping boons with Corrupt Boon or well of corruption ?

Is this duration affected by the duration of the original boon (I’m pretty sure this is no but I want to check) ?

Is the duration affected by the caster’s condition duration stat ? In particular, corrupting stability into fear: is that affected by the trait “Master of terror” ?

Good guide for the condimancer pvp build

I’ve already read his guide and I disagree so much with some of the trait choices that I find it hard to find it useful. Using wells in a condition build like he does seems like a waste of utility slots to me. These synergize best with power, no ?

Maybe I’m just confused, but as a necro I want to be running with epidemic, corrupt boon and signet of rez, or signet of condition transfer

Carrion or rabid for survivability

Hey guys,

I’m quite new to necro, and I’m a little bit curious about how I should gear myself in order to be effective in wubwub. I plan on going for conditions, because that looks like a fun and effective build, so that basically lower my choices to either carrion or rabid (or apothecary, but I want to do the deeps !)

So then, as I tried to look around, I saw that a lot of people would recommend rabid over carrion because they say that rabid is more damage because of sigil of earth and that minor trait which gives bleed on crit. However, I did the math and the damage is so similar that I don’t care too much for one or the other, in terms of damage.

But in terms of survivability, I’m kind of lost. Toughness is usually so good because it also amplifies all the heals you will be receiving, but as a necro, vitality as a sort of double-dip effect as it also increases the size of the death shroud pool. So I would like to get your opinion on that.

ps: Bonus question. Is it worth it to take the sigil that adds vulnerability to crits to “cover” our conditions and make them harder to remove, or is it just better to just take something more conventional like earth or agony ?

We need a karkaroll achievement track

Dear Arena-net,

thank you for creating this awesome game. I have a humble proposal that would make the game even more awesome.

The game currently has a number of achievement tracks for the number of enemies you have killed with each of your weapons. However, I have noticed that when I kill an enemy by dodging on him with my warrior or my elementalist while shouting “KARKAROOOOOOLLLLLLL”, I sadly do not get progress towards any achievement track.

I thus suggest that you create the awesome “Karka achievement track” for number of enemies you killed with an effect that procs on dodge. This would award the title “Ancient Karka Incarnate” when the title track is full.

This should take absolute priority over whatever else you are doing right now, as it would instantly improve the game by 1000%.

With the way guild missions are currently implemented, It will take me and my friend to participate in the very awesome sounding guild puzzle an eternity.

Also, I’m really worried about the fact that I won’t be able to get the new ascended trinkets.

Why create super cool content, that is accessible to small groups, that want to have fun (guild puzzles and rushes) and lock them out completely for a majority of your population ? What are you even thinking arenanet ?
