IMO if they don’t make the minis sellable to merchants (1-2g MINIMUM) they should change the reward structure to only give minis from hardest achievements per boss.
This way people feel more rewarded from doing those achievements and can also prove that they have done something challenging in raids.
Currently we just end up getting multiples of the same useless minis which “take slots” from actual good useful rewards.

Precursor crafting recipes don’t unlock accountwide, and probably never will because ANET doesn’t seem to have tools/will to do it.
So always remember to use the recipes on professions that can craft similar weapon types.. However you can buy the Chest of Ancient Mysticism from Grand Craftsman Hobbs in the First Collection Chests tab for 10,003 karma and get the recipe again and use it on your Artificer this time.

Daytime may not be necessary tbh, but anyway glad it worked out

I got it from the grave, ghost wasn’t up and it was daytime afaik. According to wiki “Testing indicates that Rashenna will only appear for necromancers.” – maybe if you have tried to do this on a necromancer – move the item over to another character and try it again (got mine done on warrior at least).

Rashenna worked out fine for me with just interacting with the grave and selecting the chat option.

War Machine I’d assume it has wrong tooltip info as people have farmed those champions at gates without getting it done and there are no other champion effigies in whole Fireheart rise – either its a completely different event, or its the effigy in Plains of Ashford – or possibly Molten Furnance fractal (“Rage against the War Machine”) is releated to it. – the Chest of Heroes has appeared on Dulfy’s DB 20th this month so the collection should be doable in some way I’d guess.

*Edit apparently Plains of Ashford effigy is the one that counts for it.

Moot tier 1 : Giant Shark doesn’t drop Giant Shark tooth, also something broke with the tooltip hint and it now shows ((635979)).

That’s true at that point, due old PC I had to turn my graphics low when doing dungeons/fractals/pvp – but whenever I’m doing other stuff I can turn it back to medium/high. Just at that time I wasn’t thinking about the quality of the screenshot but the fact of it being proof. ^^

Blacklight is more of a dark purple shade while anamnesis is reddish.. purple goes way better with my mesmers color scheme

It was noticed because I responded once more with linking this thread along with quote to Vayne “Happened to me, sent in a ticket, customer service handled it, pretty quickly too.” , it was the same thing last time when my warrior broke maps and support didn’t understand it until I took it to forums and sat in EB till GM showed up ingame.
Anyway its all sorted now so I’m happy.

Could it be that in your case you made a mistake with a free gift and they would not give you an exchange vs. your friends trying to exchange a mistake with a Not free item?

Don’t know if that is the case but I could see where they might draw the line there.

I wouldn’t assume that it would be the case, I pmed Vayne.8563 ingame to ask for details what he previously wrote, and it was pretty much the same case and he was helped with it.

Though one of the replies to my ticket was “Generally, we are unable to fulfill requests to exchange items purchased from the Gem Store.”
Which is not the case and I explained its 3rd bday gift as response (and it was in the ticket name too).
Anyway looks like I finally got a response for it and its being worked on. ^^

Also just to add to this, if you have already picked a wrong kit and try to ask for anet to exchange it, they wont do it at least according to 2 gm responses on my ticket :l.

In GW1 cutscenes could be skippable by either pressing a button on corner of the screen OR by pressing ESC. I wonder why can’t we have ESC option applied to ALL skippable cutscenes in GW2 aswell?

*(note I’m only talking skippable ones such as starting cutscenes in dungeon paths which only involve talking.., not ones which aren’t skippable due mob re-positioning during it etc.)

Players begging for donations for their “first” legendaries or other expensive items on LFG are getting more frequent and annoying.

And also, I’d wish there should be “info section” or something similar added to lfg that would state the previous quote because as it seems not many know about that rule and thus keep still filling the lfg with “selling x precursor/legendary for x gold”

What about selling access to ones home instance for gathering resources? Namely I just spotted this new type of selling in lfg just about an hour ago : " Sell access crafting nodes (17) for 20 silver…..->" . Does it belong to the dungeon sort of selling section or is it abusing the lfg due to selling access to “items”?

This thread made me giggle, really like giggle out loud. My dearhearts I’m one of those “AP-farmers”, even thought I had half year break at one part (I could have been on first page of leaderboard if hadn’t) I still hold 22,6k AP- and how? For the last whole year I had been farming daily achievements like a mad man, all the daily achievements every day + 6 extra dailies during halloween using usually up to 2 hours of time for it. I got up to 9,5k daily achievements now right before the patch. And I have to say, this is a relief for me – even it would be 2 less AP per day – it’s way less work, more rewarding and way faster to do.

Really you don’t have to be a pro PVPer or WvWer to pick a quick achie to do from either as PVEr if some PVE achi seems too much work for. Honestly you don’t even need to like either of those categories to just quickly hop into WvW to claim a sentry which would take max 3-4 mins, hop into hotjoin match to capture a point – which takes less than 2 mins. – No need to fight enemy players at all if you choose it right.

This new system needs way less work, even it might be more specific, in exchange for more rewards. Exp for alts, progression for reward track (who knows maybe you might want to be farming the maguma wastes track for amberite collection), little WvW exp which you can save for days where WvW ranker would take a place, even leveling tomes and full pristine relics. Also some of the achievements are basically same as old – but with halved effort, just sayin.

Apparently it was a guild related issue – but nothing from my side. Still sounds a bit hilarious and odd and not exactly sure what it was, but oh well. I did get a heroic chest tho .. not that I would really like the skins but at least I got a new armorset unlocked without using gems for it

Literally what the title says. After the Feature pack my human warrior (out of 15 chars) causes EVERY map it is in to lag. And this lag AFFECTS EVERYONE. All other characters are fine. Also it’s nothing from MY side, because if it would be that would mean this issue would be with all chars.

I’ve tried to contact support – but they’re not really being helpful. (They miss understood the character causing map-wide lag to having only personal lag issues which would not affect others)

Been confirmed with 40-50 minutes long Tequatls and triple trouble wurms, lots of map jumping – dungeons and as well spvp/wvw.

I’d reguest if one of the Anet staff could log into the EU servers and check this out. (suggested it in support email – got completely ignored)
I would record it but I would need outside help to show how it actually affects a completely random person in the map I’m in, but I don’t have such help at the moment.

What I could do right now – Jump into WvW into EB for an hour to show how it literally affects everyone from Deso, Seafarer, Baruch bay. – And this will affect in a lot of QQ in forums/reddit.

Please I’d request immediate help. As it does not seem to be only me – there is at least 1-2 other people with the same problem but maybe not realizing it themselves.

Edit* This char is also my main that I’ve played couple thousand hours on, crafted stuff (500 AS/WS) and had hundreds of skins aswell, including a small collection of consumables. I have feelings for this character so I refuse to delete it, especially because of something that just went wrong with feature pack and my characters data.

Easiest and fastest solution is to just turn off your autoattack, the interrupt on dodge is caused by the attack animation at that part of the 1st skill chain.

Some other classes also have similar problems with it and the autoattack might make you unable to use other skills for the duration of the attack after switch (like ele scepter in fire n1) or start hitting random stuff (those things on the wall in AC where the spider is ) that is not even targetted.

-Also fyi its common knowledge between all lupi melee’ers to not have any autoattacks active because of the animations

With the todays blogpost talking about AP daily and monthly caps there will be less AP collecting in that way, also making it slower to get to 20k – and higher rewards.

I feel for you, and still the karka event didn’t have 100% chance to drop a prec. and the time it took was so long and boring (or it was just a DC fest for some people) —- actually during the event I was just randomly hitting mobs every 10-20 min in southsun shouting FREE PRECURSORS FOR EVERYONE – well the precursors came, and I got dawn which has been the only one I got myself but it didn’t feel like an achivement because the event was meant to have a big but random chance to give them anyway and hundreds of other people got it aswell so.. – And all you had to do was to just hit the Karka to get the contribution (or if I remember right you just had to be in the zone).

Sure it sounds nice and all, but legendary weapons has always been about the blood and sweat of your hard work to make it (unless you’re a scum that buys gold) you just gotta hope for the best that you get it through RNG, dropped exos in the mystic forge or collect money to buy them off tp, if it’s your first legendary and it felt like a lot of work, trust me, the feeling of getting it done is great

I crafted Sunrise, Dreamer and Twilight at start of the game when precursors were half or even less than half of the price that they are now. As well all the t6 and other materials were cheap and you could make good money farming in orr during that time.
But if you look at the prices what everything is at now, its just horrid..
And about the RNG on forge, I had used raw 2000 gold and tens of thousands of dungeon tokens to acquire a precursor BY MYSELF with my own stuff which I farmed with the blood and sweat. – Of course I could have taken the easy way and just bought something off the TP.. but thats just not how it works for some people. :P

That’s why I added the 3rd. option for how the box could work :P.. and about the drop rates that’s exactly what I said in the text. – Also tell me what actually good rewards you can get from AP apart from the current 30gold and 400 gems and makeover kits? – Because I don’t consider titles, Zenith and those armorpiece skins that useful really and they certainly aren’t something I would look forward to when farming daily AP stuff..

I think everyone can agree that 2 handed precursors (and most of the 1 handed as well) have horrible prices which tp flippers keep moving up because of the small supply there is in game.

So why not make an easy way to supply precursors to the game without having to go through all the pain and sweat with trying to create scavenger hunts which people might not find fun, and which might have chances to bug out or just not work in some ways.

What I’d like to suggest is to add a precursor box to every 5k OR 10k Achievement point reward, and this box would work with one of the following options
1. 100% chance to give any precursor, but which one it is will be decided by rng so people will not abuse it.
2. OR first box(at 5k ap) has a chance for underwater and offhand precursors, 2nd and so on (at 10k, 15k, 20k etc.) will have higher chance for 1hands & 2handers.
3. OR just have one box at 10k or 15k AP where you can pick which precursor you want.

Pros.
1. Reduces the precursor prices down to reasonable
2. Will make people more aware of achievements and will make them want to complete and maybe try different aspects of the game. (indirectly leading to higher skill level of players?)
3. Will reduce the unhappiness that is currently caused by really low chances on forge and even lower on world drops (because people refuse to buy those weapons with the prices they are at right now)
4. Everyone has EQUAL 100% chance of getting a random precursor this way
5. Reduces the amount of work for devs. as its just adding boxes, not creating whole new content (scavenger hunt)
6. Might also increase the gem market if people would want to buy things that indirectly or directly are linked to AP (such as transmutation crystals/charges when they have gathered t3 skins for The Emperor achievement, and ofc minipets for mini achievements!)
EDIT 7. (releated to number 2) This way will also allow people who play spvp or wvw mainly to have a sure way to acquire precursors -> encourage to try out PvE

Cons.

1. Increased supply might give extra money to tp flippers, but prices will still be forced to stay down because of ongoing supply
2. Some people might be unhappy about not being able to select the precursor they want – but still they might get something that sells for equal amount to just buy the one they want afterwards
