Its ok to believe its a display error, but saying the question makes no sense when there are no hard facts to prove either case is quite ignorant. The question is valid regardles of ranger bugs….

Since this thread started I started playing with and without my 40% mf food to see if I will notice a difference.

If the theory is correct, that mf food overwrites existing mf I have 40% mf (during boon, which I "always"have).

Without the food I have about 85% m from gear.

If its just a tooltip error and the food adds to existing mf I have 40% from food + 85% from gear.

I really want to know if im being fooled eating this food, but I havent seen any consistent tendencies, I probably play too little. So ill keep trying like this, since anet wont comnent on the topic, which is really bad cr.

I can say that i farmed with the food and had bland drops, no rares. I let the food run out, after 30 mins, and within 5 minutes I had 3 rares drop, from the same farming spot. I know that can be just rng pulling a prank.

My hubby wont try it this weekend after he saw my frustration and disappointment with the game tonight. I did 3 jp:s that didnt count towards monthly. I only need 3. They were discoveries. They were pitas to do.
We both laughed when I asked if he wants a free trial.

“you dont need anything” gets thrown around frequently. Yea I can survive without skillbooks…fun times. Realistically players want at least COMPLETE characters.
My mind was set on just exploration, no needs. Thats new to me and I was willing to try it. I logged in and explored, careful not to die much, no wp, saving crafting mats for future crafting: because I dont need money amirite??

What the kitten?? I made some research and yes I will need TONS (for me it was tons) of money to complete my character. So the moneymaking was on, and my playstyle changed. I was probably supposed to stop the moneymaking after the skillbooks but it doesnt work like that: you cant give an exjunkie a party goodiebag and think its gonna be a one time trip.

Another thing: I quickly realised thar a chunk of early players have made insane amounts of money due to bugs and exploits and whatever that is not available anymore. You know those countries where people are told that they dont need wealth and luxury and yet theres a chunk of rich citizens: doesnt work too well does it…

I totally disagree. I run around LESS now that I wp between bosses, than when I did penshelt. I used to run around in the map between the events, gathering, other events, daily. I rather not do any of that in low level areas if i can do them in orr. So there i am wasting time waiting for boss to spawn.

Before the patch I ran around in orr between the penshelt events. Now Im staring at the boss timer app, planning my wp:ing…and if my daily is done I just stand at boss camp waiting, perhaps killing the occasional low level mob…Imo I played the game more actively before the patch.

So u dont think the same loot rules should apply for same effort? We should accept that some accounts have broken loot drops, keep ignoring vets and champs. Sad to break it tou but i think anet wants champs to be killed, too bad they cant fix the so called perceived loot drop issue.

I wonder why they choose to kill popular content to try and force playerts into lessappealing content instead of adding incentives to less appealing content so that players choose that content freely.

I like routine and want a comfortable playsession for the few hours i log on. I do my 2 dragons, daily, and a couple of penshelt runs. Why are you yelling at me? Bc i dont play your way?

So all I need to do/night is the daily and 2 dragons (im too casual to spend time on the jormag circus). Hopefully theres something interesting on tv while i wait for timers.

To me it seems like I get more loot while grouping in events, there are a lot more glittering corpses scattered around when the dust had settled, and I often wonder did I tag all this? When solo the loot is at my feet only, not scatteted over a large area.

Culling was never a problem for me in open world until lately.

I understand that the kick mechanic is annoying, I dont find blind invites annoying though, in fact I appreciate them. The invite is not intrusive in any way so if its inconvenient to click either acc or decline its easy to ignore. In big events where mobs die_in 3 seconds I dont have time to start a conversation and I gladly accept a blind invite from players doing the same event.

I hate it too, worst is not seeing incoming mobs = loss of loot.

Whatr an enigma! Some players get loo tmost of the time from champs and vets, while others, like me, usually dont get anything. It doesnt matter if I solo it or group it, and I do tons of damage, I wont get nada, well perhaps a porous bone 1/10 times…

I got an exotic from shelter event, spider hatchling. Never from a dragon, and ive done dragons about a million times more than penshelt….

Whats the purpose of champ/vets? Delete them already. I have no clue hiw anet came to the conclusion that its a good idea to have high hp mobs drop kitten. All I know is they are wrong and should at least end the boss mobs misery, nobody wants to touch them pffft.

not really. I run around Orr a lot as a guardian and never dodge. obviously I don’t solo champions but I can easily kill veterans and up to 4 or 5 regular level 80-82 mobs and never use a dodge… and I am only in green and yellow gear as well.

When big events happen I can never see my Avatar or even the mobs half the time as my screen is totaly lit up with spell effects so I would never know when i’m supposed to dodge anyhow. (thank goodness for leap of faith or i would be swinging at air most of the time!)

I said in another thread that I dont have to dodge on my guard, man was I shot down lol. Someone said id have smaller repairbills and figjts would be faster. Well I hardly ever die, and I dont see how dodging would make kills faster. Perhaps they assumed im talking dungeonplay, I dont do dungeons.
But doing orr without dodging is np, and like u said in events theres so many spelleffects going on I might as well keep my eyes closed and swing away. Usually I crawl out alive too! Lol.

Im a “laggy” player but ive found that axe throwing icebrood (they throw really slowly) near jormag for example, and tars (slow too) in orr are very nice to dodge. If nobody lends a helping hand one mob is enough.

Im a guardian playing pve. Dodging is not a requirement lol

I wrote about the counterproductivity of the new dailies in antoher thread. It was about the rez daily. Since I had trouble having my player rezzes register in orr I went to rez npc: s in qd. I let wolves gank 2 npc:s but soon enough another player came to save them. I didnt say anything of course, but for thefirst time in GW2 I was annoyed with another player lol.

Also my behaviour has changed in events. If im done with my heal daily i dont rush to rez others because of the 10 cap. Other player prolly need the heal update.

Regarding dodge: I dont jump in to help against regular mobs bc players usually dont need help with those. I jump in for quick loot opportunity, and i will not change my behavior. Loot is loot!

I do the opposit since im kitten about the bad loot drops. I convert gold to buy makeover kits mohaha!

I tried it right now at an empty renown heart. I revived 4 NPCs and got credit for 2, but got credit for all 4 for the heart.

Your friend got 2 exos in orr, in one day? Wow! The only exo I got for free was from map completion.

Its not a difficult task, its an annoying task. I play in orr and have the opportunity to finnish this task in events but no it simply doesnt register all rezzes. So when its time to log im missing the heal task. yea its easy to solve by jumping to a map with dead npc:s, easy but totally annoying. Going to queensdale to rez npc:s….or stay in orr and ask ppl to jump, im sorru thats just silly.

I am perplexed by the “revive allies” within the daily achievements. Last night some people were camping and everyone was competing to revive NPC’s.

I was under the assumption that Guild Wars 2 was not supposed to require players to complete for “resources.” Guess what, reviving “X” allies in the daily’s = player Vs player competition for limited dead NPC’s!

You do know that everyone who gets at least 1 tick of healing in gets credit for the revive right? The only way people could be “competing” for the revive is if they actually reached the rez cap (wiki doesn’t list the specific cap, but I think it’s 10). Methinks you’re just another one of the many people in this thread making things up to try support a bad argument.

Now I know why I dont always get heal updates. I though either it was a bug or that I didnt have time to heal enough (competing). But its bc of 10 cap (competing).
I want to and try to do most of the daily while playing normally. So I thougjt I was done with the healing after plinx last champion event. The mob is buffed? Anyway ppl were eating dust left and right 2 nights back to back and I counted 12 rezzes the last night in that event. I got 6 updates…

What I dont like about the tracker is that it keeps closing, I want it open all the time. Why does it do that??

Is there a daily with dungeon task?

I couldnt complete it in 10 mins which is fine btw, however some parts ended up counterproductive bc the result was that I was annoyed with other player for the first time. Also other players were the reason the daily took so long to finish.

I started in orr bc Im one of the very few players who actually need karma and am always out of karma. So I try to squeeze in some orr events every session. Naturally I try to do as much as I can on the daily while running in orr.

Dodger: i have lag, so dodging update is a lottery, fine. I think im alone in an area, i have an easy dodge mob to work on. Several heros pop up from nowhere and " help" me….so it took longer than necessary.

Healer: this was most frustrating. In events everyone was rezzing like crazy, and i managed to tap in on some but no update. So finally I went to queensdale (remembering a tip about it) looking for npc:s. Qd was “packed” with people, many heroes that saved npc:s from death. I managed to get 5 rezzes back to back on 2 npc:s that were being ganked by wolves before a hero came and rescued them…grrr. So it took some time to get those heal updates.

Just saying, the new daily took longer bc of other players lol.

I think its per character, as each can complete a daily. But otherwise yes. Monthlies reward 10 laurels, starting with the Feb Daily
