People just want everything for free I would like to see anet give us a free expac and then we can watch as we get no content for years because they lost out on funds from players that supposedly love and want too support the game were greedy. If you don’t want to spend money you don’t have too. I know I will be enjoying the expac when it comes out.

I am pretty sure that 90% of the players that play GW2 atm are WILLING to pay for this xpack but the amount of content we are getting with HoT is simply not WORTH 44 euro’s!!! If this HoT xpack was 30 euro’s i would be happy to give Anet my money, but if Anet keeps the price at 44 euro’s they will not recieve a dime from my side and i am pretty sure a LOT of GW2 players are thinking the same way…

44 euro’s for this expansion with this amount of content is a TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!! I am a big fan of GW2 and i always praised Anet for their business model within GW2 but Anet totally lost their MINDS to ask this kind of money for this expansion…

As a player on Piken Square i am shocked how badly populated WvWvW is atm. I know Anet tried several MU systems since GW2 launch and no matter what Anet tried the community in general keeps complaining and nagging about the MU systems on these forums. I find it very distressing a top EU server like PS is outnumbered constantly because most people are tired of fighting Viz/SFR for the last few weeks.

The Piken community in general always stated that they are joining WvWvW for the fights and NOT the points or victory but this new MU system clearly shows the differ because WvWvW is basicly dead on PS in its current state. So what should Anet do to improve WvWvW??

This thread has become so silly i dont even have the words for it anymore. The endless accusations/defending by SFR/Piken has become so pathetic that i am ashamed to call myself a gamer. Games are played to have fun and what is happening between SFR/Piken at the moment is just plain STUPIDITY and has nothing to do anymore with having fun. Ive been a gamer for over 30 years now and play games online on regular bases since the end of the 90’s. Over these years ive seen plenty of flaming/trolling on the average game forum, but to be honest i never witnessed so much crap between players like we did on https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/matchups/15-11-PS-SFR-RS-EU-Premier-League-Round-5/page/9#post3237268 and on https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/matchups/18-10-PS-SFR-VZ-EU-Premier-League-Round-1.

Before WvW season 1 started SFR made a goal to themselfs and that was being the best european server in GW2. A noble goal if you ask me and to be fair a reasonable one because they showed since GW2 launch that SFR has been a top 5 european server over the last year in WvW. Sadly for SFR their aspirations to become 1st in WvW season 1 got crushed by Vizunah/Piken during week 1. Ever since that “famous” week 1 some SFR forum warriors are putting all the blame on Piken wich is just idiotic and just shows how narrow minded some SFR players are. So far Vizunah have won every MU and my prediction will be that Vizunah will win the remaining MU’s. So even if SFR became 2nd during week 1 SFR would not achieve their goal. After week 1 Piken got accused by SFR for double teaming, spawnkilling, PvD’ers, nightcappers, hackers etc. etc. etc.. SFR tried every trick in the book with their forum warriors to provoke Piken wich in some cases did happen and some cases didnt happen.

So many Piken/Vizunah players already stated numerous times on the forums did we NEVER double teamed SFR on purpose, Piken/Vizunah NEVER made an agreement to double team SFR during week 1. The only thing Piken decided during week 1 was to focus on SFR once we found out Vizunah was out of our grasp due to their better coverage and we saw a change to become 2nd, if SFR was in the same situation as Piken was during week 1 i am SURE you would have done exactly the same, because why focus on the strongest server and become 3rd or take advantage of the situation and try to become 2nd wich we eventually did. Isnt this the whole set up about this WvW season to score the most points over a period of time???

Dont get me wrong here dear SFR players, i am not blaming you for focussing on us (Piken) during this week’s MU because like i said before this WvW season is about gathering as much points in a certain amount of time, the only thing that troubles and saddens me is that some SFR forum warriors throwing mud towards Piken since week 1 and blaming us for losing your goal to become 1st in the european WvW season. Is it so hard for you to admit that Vizunah was a bridge to far for SFR? Besides that this whole theatrical nonsense on the forum wasnt necessary if you looked at the MU’s during these 7 weeks, because you SFR players will only meet Vizunah 2 times during this WvW season and Piken 3 times so changes are quite BIG you will end up 2nd.

Can we just stop this childish and endless mud throwing towards each other and ACTUALLY enjoy playing the game like it was ment for. There is nothing wrong with some healthy competition between servers/guilds but what is happening atm on this forum thread is anything but healthy. Gaming is a very important part of my life to fill my days with due to my sickness (muscular dystrophy) and it really saddens/angers me if people are bickering over a game like its the end of the world, but hey finding mutual respect for each other and having FUN on the internet is really hard to find these days…

Really funny to see all those accusations by SFR forum warriors towards Piken for losing their goal (become 1st in Gold League) because its Vizunah that is undefeated so far and not Piken. During week 1 Vizunah was clearly the server with the best coverage across the board and focussed mainly on SFR and Piken took advantage of that situation, if SFR was in the same situation they would do exactly the same and if some SFR forum warrior would say otherwise they would be lying straight!!

I cant recall that SFR was wiped off EB or their own BL during week 1 because that would have happened if SFR really was double teamed by Vizunah and Piken during week1, especially during the week days because everybody knows Piken’s strenght during these days and Vizunah has the benefit of 2 timezones (France and Canada). Once again Piken played it smart in week 1 and took advantage of the situation. There is a BIG difference between being smart or double teaming but if i read some reactions of these SFR forum warriors i really doubt they are smart enough to understand that :P…

On top of that i simply dont understand all this commotion by these SFR forum warriors because in the end SFR will only face Vizunah 2 times during this WvW season 1 and Piken will face Vizunah 3 times so the changes are quite big that SFR will end up 2nd in the Gold League. I personally would be very happy with a 3rd place in the Gold League and i believe a lot of Pikers are thinking the same about this result, but this will not change the fact that we will try and fight till the bitter end to become 2nd.

Just my thoughts on this whole double teaming accusations by SFR during week 1…

And the whole double teaming whinig is just getting boring, there is no such thing, Otherwise everyone could say the same, for example yesterday evening on jade bl where piken had nothing better to do thay wipe every 10 minutes in bay instead of attacking jade only once. Happens on every border that one side is double teamed.

So JS and Kodash attacking and trying to take Piken’s T3 Keep at EB for 4-5 hours straight last saturday night isnt double teaming? What else do you want to call it!!!
We aren’t whining,It’s a fact Kodash and Jade Sea made a pact against Piken on EB during the weekend. Shame for Kodash tho that Jade Sea broke the pact once they had the chance to nightcap Piken and Kodash. But i am an experienced WvW player and when there is 3 parties fighting , 9 out of 10 times the strongest party (statisticly) get double teamed. But like i said before Piken isnt there yet :P….

Yep its very OBVIOUS Jade Sea has spies/saboteurs on the servers they fight against. Players that walk golems off cliffs/bluffs to destroy them. Upgrades that are ordered while towers/keeps are under attack by JS to drain supplies etc. etc. Very sad a high tier server like Jade Sea has to use these kind of tactics to gain an advantage over a match-up…

On the other hand this shows again how BADLY executed this WvW season is by Anet because they should have disabled the guesting option during these 7 weeks…

A match-up isnt determined by reset or weekend, a match up lasts the whole week and once the weekend is over Piken’s real fighting spirit will boil up. Piken is a server that has a strong coverage during the whole week and not only at reset or weekend like some German/French servers. And as mentioned before Piken arent really nightcappers, Piken is very strong during morning/afternoon hours . So dont worry about Piken’s “very bad start” as you stated…

Agreed, Arenanet should PRIORTIZE the issues within WvW. The skilllag is terrible atm in WvW, bugs that have been in WvW since day 1 and as of today i didnt get my daily achievement chest for completing it during WvW. Serious Arenanet how could you start a WvW season if you havent been able to fix the BASIC core mechanics within WvW…

So i should move to a lower tier server because Arenanet didnt do their homework properly? The dumbest remark so far in this thread Beliskner, what about Arenanet using their heads and COMMON sense, they should waited with this whole WvW season until the new WvW overflow map is up and running. What baffles me even more is that Areanet discounted on tranfers before WvW season what mangifies the whole queue issue atm…

Yes i am on a T1 server and yes we had queue’s before this new season started BUT not queue’s that took 3-5 hours. I simply cant understand how Arenanet can put out new PvE content EVERY 2 weeks and not been able to fix things within WvW. Arenanet shows time and time again that WvW isnt their top priority. Why havent they fixed the siege building bug that have been an issue in WvW since day 1, and dont tell me to switch weapons when i am stuck after building because i am an Elementalist. Why havent they been able to improve skillag while Arenanet promised MONTHS ago to improve this issue.

I Personally am a hard core WvW player and just getting sick and tired how Arenanet keeps neglecting these bugs/issues within WvW. The WvW community within GW2 have been patient enough towards Arenanet hoping they would come with solutions towards bugs/skillag and as a reward they give us INSANE queue times with this WvW season, and a possible fix in 2014 isnt fast enough if you ask me, it needs to be resolved asap…

This has no nothing to do with being higher ranked or having higher priority because a person plays the game longer. Having to wait 3-5 hours to even get into WvW is just plain stupid. Arenanet already stated that the queue issues atm with WvW arent priority wich cleary shows again Arenanet never have and never will prioratize the issues within WvW. Not even mentioning the HORRIBLE skilllag once your in WvW and the bugs that have been in WvW since day 1…

3-5 hours queue at primetime to play some WvW, this whole WvW season is one big mistake Arenanet!!!!!

Ares Novas and I started off with agreeing on the fact there were to many enemy waypoints. Therefore, the two of us started building golems in FSP borderlands at 12 midnight (GMT+1). About two hours later we had parked 18 golems in spawn ready to melt down hills and garrison. Done that bought a t-shirt. Then it happend to be so that there was to many of FSP on the border to quickly snatch bay and besides that the wall in garrison was already down due to a treb at Cragtop. It actually took is a kitten age to get that treb down. All kinds of things tried tho: AC in front of the wall which I managed to place to far to the cliff so it didn’t reach, sneak spot which was spotted the first time. Then SPGR got a treb up in the camp and I was back on the sneak spot with a smaller group. SPGR managed to kill it and FSP went to.. Well, yeah where did you guys go?

Garri wall repaired due to the upgrade and bay was within reach. A scout found out that Bay NE was at 50% (whut?). By the time we reached inner I had a little “O-M-G we’re so lucky moment”, since there was a load of superior AC and some ballista’s I think. If a couple got in a little bit earlier it would have been allot harder.

Everything after that was just free walking. We had an awesome night and I hope you guys had atleast some fun looking at us trying to get down the treb.

WOW we should give UW some cookies, lol why do you UW players even place screenshots like this? Again proof UW are the masters of PvD while the other servers are sleeping!! UW show us some screenshots during daytime and primetime with impressive scores, OOH wait UW can’t, because during these times you guys hide behind your walls and sieges!!!

Oh no, you kitten you, i wouldn’t call this week fun for any people, let alone when you blob around with 60 people golem rushing anything, but then again, when skill-less players like you can’t do anything on your own need to get fun somewhere right?

Whatever m8, do i care you think i am skill-less? I play WvW on daily bases and i play night shifts on regular bases to keep our own towers safe in EB while we are outmanned, so yeah i am VERY skill-less!!! Nice zerg you have there Far Shiverpeaks. It must be hard taking those empty towers. As Blactider there is no use fighting you. I was fool to build golem and take tower- you take it back with zergus giganticus. But if no one will take tower how you gona farm wxp?
I think best way to fight you is not to fight at all. Paint all maps green I will deafeat you with boredom.

You must be VERY short minded to think like this!!! Blame Arenanet for this match up because most of the hard core WvW players on FSP are hating this match up as much as you do. Whiteside and Blacktide have some VERY dedicated and skilled WvW players but just lacking the numbers to make a fist against FSP. Once again blame Arenanet!!!

I really feel SORRY for Whiteside and Blacktide that Anet came up with this match-up. I admire the fighting spirit of WS and BT because even they are SERIOUSLY outnumbered they just keep trying and fighting…/respect. Beside that BT has some very skilled WvW players because our zerg got owned several times in EB last night by BT!!!

Your server has the SHEER numbers in this match-up and it doesnt help you at all. Uh… I hate to point it out, but if they’re winning because of their numbers then their numbers are kinda helping them somewhat.

Can anybody recommend me a server where there is decent communication and teamwork at WvW because i am getting frustrated at my current server. The server i play on currently is already stuck for months in the same Tier and while players complain on daily bases that we are stuck at a certain Tier we are not getting higher due to our own actions and miscommunication. The last few weeks a lot of good commanders also gave up because of this, we are making the same mistakes over and over again and not willing to learn from them.

Here are some MAJOR mistakes my current server makes on daily bases at EB:

- No scout(s) on our own towers to report incoming zergs
-Attacking SM while our own towers are paper.
-If we got T3 towers on our own territory we lose it on regular bases because most people think a paper SM is more important.
-No dolyak escorts to SM once we conquer SM.
-When there is no commander online people ask for one BUT if there is a Commander people simply dont follow and listen.

I personally dont need to play on a T1 server but i prefer a server where people understand the basics of WvWvW and actually work together

Arenanet PLEASE PLEASE do something FAST about the AC’s. For the first time since GW2 launch Far Shiverpeaks was outmanned since 1AM at EB on a saturday night. People are SICK AND TIRED of the AC’s and it is starting to show when it comes to activity in WvWvW. Arenanet cant you see you are ruining WvWvW with these silly AC’s!!!!!

Seriously what is Anet thinking with these AC’s. When GW2 was launched Anet stated that even if you werent level 80 you could go and play some WvWvW. I got a lvl 80 ranger with full PVT gear and i just smelt when i get hit by AC’s, so Anet tell me how a low level player can survive these insane AC’s. Good job Arenanet for off balancing and RUINING WvWvW!!!!

SM siege was very fun tonight, we were under siege for over 2 hours from both sides but at the end we managed to keep SM. One of my most Epic SM sieges….

Nice try AM to take SM and thank you very much for all the loot bags. Must have been very expensive for you guys with all these golems. I really wonder how you guys/girls on AM can even fail to take SM with so much siege, good fight tho…

Nice 10 golem+zerg rush again am, looks like thats the only tactic your server can do at night. Btw gz for holding sm for 5mins lol.

Dont forget to mention within 2 hours after their Golem zerg on SM there wasnt anymore AM on the EB map :P.

@ FSP commanders

There has been more than 1 occasion in recent days I have seen discussions among commanders, in /m and /t chat, about FSP players (not about specific ppl, just our players in general) that have taken a derogatory tone.
I’d like to point out that while a zerg with no commander is nothing, a commander with no zerg amounts to even less. 100g buys you a nice shiny blue triangle but it does not buy you respect or a god-given right to have people worshipping at your feet.
You would do well to remember we’re all just playing a game and no-one here is better or worse than anyone else regardless of whether or not they possess the ‘blue shiny’.
So pull your heads out of your kittens and just get on with playing the game please.

I dont agree with you here on this, i’ve been playing a lot of WvW the last 2 weeks (8-10 hours a day) and we got some very talented Commanders on FSP and they really know what they are doing.The problem is that people wont listen because why does a Commander have to say every 2 minutes stay on me, dont charge 1 or 2 mobs, leave the sentry alone, pick up supplies etc. etc..

I personally think we should appreciate the Commanders a bit more because they spend boatloads of Gold on siege weapons on daily bases. If i was a Commander and would have to repeat the same things over and over again i also would get short fused at times. All i can say is good job FSP Commanders and keep up the good work!!!!

Today i was playing some WvW in Eternal Battlegrounds and to be honest our server isnt doing that great this week. The whole week our server is having a hard time to keep our own territory in EB due to the fact players are to busy to capture a fully defended and supplied Stonemist Castle. This afternoon a Commander logged into EB and started to lead people wich wasnt very succesful due to his tactics. His actions made us lose almost everything on our own territory and the enemy started to bang on our keep’s gate.

All of the sudden the Commander left EB and left us with the mess he created. So after a hard struggle we finally got our own territory back. Later this night the same Commander logged into EB so i warned people for what he did earlier today and this conversation followed on my whisper…
