Can’t your team release a single patch without unplayable content? What was supposed to be the highlight of the event turned into another bugged mess.

You can tell ANet failed to deliver when even the usual white knights are hiding.
This patch was simply pathetic. Let’s hope the conclusion will be better.
See no advantage to Subscription at all. Take GW2 and WoW as an example, GW2 has already introduced more new content in 8 months, then WoW did in any 8 month period. And that is just 1 example.
Hold on…what?
Played WoW for 2 years, rarely saw new content added other then a paid expansion, and 40 man raids that less then 10% of the their player base actually got to see.
40 man raids were abolished in Vanilla… Naxx being the last. That’s like 5 or 6 years ago. The new 5.2 patch had more content than GW2 put out since launch, and 5.3 is on the way. You can’t compare the tiny GW2 staff to the mammoth Blizzard is.
Because guilds in this game shouldn’t be seen as a family of sorts like in most other games. It’s simply a bunch of strangers using each other to achieve a common goal.
The fact you can be a part of several guilds at the same time shows that.
Just join a guild for missions and leave once you’re done. Sadly there’s no way to do these things with your friends alone, as you need a zerg guild (or a lot of money) to unlock them.
I love the logic of GW2 players.
Paying for a sub on any other MMO is “being ripped off”.
Buying gems on the cash shop is “supporting the game you love”.
Stay classy.
Because WoW already delivers a better end-game PvE experience. Unless ANet manages to create something completely new and original, it’s just going to be watered down raiding.

Since you seem interested in those world-ranked guilds for some reason, here’s some info from his Facebook post, since the article links to it:
Am I done? Is this my good bye post to the raiding community? No haha no my friends I’m way too stubborn and foolish to actually use my knowledge to stop myself from the enjoyment I get from WoW and the community. What’s next for Killars? I dunno… “LFR Troll Rogue ilvl 532” I guess… I really don’t know (which is kinda scary) but we’ll see.
Guilds racing for world first are a VERY small % of the total raiding population.
But let’s not derail this thread any further.

I’d really like if we had more than fractals as our “endgame”. I’m level 30 right now, but I can’t see the trip to 50 being any different than it was so far. No new mechanics, just bigger numbers.

Did Time Warp stop working on Golems? My mesmer only ran that when I did WvW few months ago. In fact, I still use Time Warp everywhere.
I see a few Guardians using Tome of Courage in group play, saw Tome of Wrath once. Renewed Focus is by far the most common.
Lots of Elementalists running around with Conjure Fiery Greatsword.
And the few Necromancers I notice usually have that big flesh golem or turn into Lich Form.
-snip-
I hate to say it, but if the dredge fractal was released as an instance in WoW at any point, it flat out wouldn’t have been tolerated.

Uh, BC heroics were several times harder than that.

I just wish the spawn rate was reduced a bit. Specially for the gate and champion events.
While the UI in WoW is superior, I didn’t have too many issues with the camera.
Did you try increasing the rotation speed in the settings?
You can see the total achievement needed by tracking it and mousing over.
It shows only 3909/4500 (tier 3 of 4) on the main panel, but 3909/6000 (the total) on the right side of the screen.
I still think adding a training map would really be nice for everyone involved. By training map i mean the ability to make yourself neutral or not. This way people can train, learn the maps, get map completion, do jumping puzzles, etc. without taking away from people that want to be part of the battle. It doesn’t seem like it be tough to implement, although i have no idea.
Yeah let’s remove all risk and challenge and then reward people with map completion.
…..WHAT?
If training maps were added, they definitely SHOULD NOT be rewarding people.
I completed exploration in WvW without any challenge or risk for the simple fact I’m on JQ. I just zoned in, walked around, got 100%. Real hard, right?
People arguing against changes to the current system are narrow-minded.
Thankfully, ANet is planning color rotations in the future and that should help.
