Defiler is from LOTRO, which is where most of KoM met (we picked up some here in GW2 of course).
All of OINK have a DAOC background, however only we all did not play Dark Age together… as a guild. I primarly played in a guild called Caustic

Nerf RLT in sPvP (where Elementalist are over represented, and your developers see as a parity issue), but please don’t give us a 40 second cool down in WvW (in WvW there are less dagger off hand Elementalist).
The Nerf bat is swing too hard, on this upcoming patch for Eleys…. so consider splitting sPvP and WvW cool downs for RTL?

i’m not playing sPvP but WvW and if your running with your guildies vs a bigger number of enemys you do need the mobility and save cond remove or your just plain dead as light armor meleeBelieve me, I know your pain – I run Ether Renewal with a fairly glassy build, and this change is gonna sting. I’m not even sure if scepter/dagger will be worth using for damage with the RtL change, and if it isn’t I’m gonna have to go staff because I HATE being restricted to melee range, which means I’m not really going to be able to kill anyone…

I predict the patch will lead to a number of unintended consequences.
Something to point out is, Ele’s were never meant to be the masters or one of the best at mobility, survivable etc. They are meant to be kinda good at it all, which they can still be. it just means they can’t be really good at particular things as per Anet’s design philosophy.

I can understand the nerf to rtl in sPvP, but in WvWvW when your kiting zergs, ANET do we really need that hard of a nerf?

Most Nerf and balances are references are to sPvP, not WvW …

People that follow us without being in ventrilo, especially up levels, are little more than rally bait. I’ve been burned too many times. So if you want to hug someone’s nuts its polite to ask first.

For the record, that scenario played out as you described with one pretty major flaw, once we wiped the 6-7 people that followed us, you were immediately on us. Now, that means as we were finishing off the last of this group that followed us, from my perspective, you two come racing in knowing what we just fought, hoping you could get a win. If you want respect, you give respect, waving at my group so we don’t roll you is not respect.
Trying to vulture us just makes me roll you whenever I see you (not you so much, but that horrible Sylvari mesmer you run with, insists on adding on everything), you’re only as good as the company you keep, maybe you need to find better company?

It really is not that confusing… there are players and guilds whom show and deserve respect and there is everyone else …. that multitude are all kill on sight and if necessary troll…

Yeah, first fight with Xsorus I was winning pretty easily (I made a few mistakes in the fight in the movie which allowed him to get away so he could kite and heal) but Gaz backstabbed him when he was low health so I had to ditch that clip.
After that we were letting him 1v1. Gaz beat him at least once.

It’s hard to know whether to help or not sometimes. I’ve not engaged because someone was 1v1ing but then spent the next few minutes getting rage tells for not helping after they lost.
You should ask sepsis about that. I thought he was actually going to report the guy. He followed us around for hours spamming map chat with all sorts of profanity.

We take objectives and get points for DH just like any other guild out there. We help where we’re needed be it walkin yaks or wiping zergs (I’d like to think I’m pretty boss at the former).
If you define roaming as walking around with the sole purpose of fighting other small groups, then no, we’re not a roaming guild. If you define it as a guild that does all sorts of WvW things not with the main force for the benefit of the server, then yes, we’re a roaming guild.
So PD is playing for the “Greater Good” of DH?

The resurrector cannot be in combat… therefore combat interrupts revive for x period of time
hard revives should be out of combat only (WvW only).
This is a reasonable compromise….

This again? Players dropping 200k or more damage with one ability is ridiculous. AoE is already broken and dominates the game why make it more so? If it is under the assumption that it will stop zerging, that will never happen with this change.

That’s the point to removing/reducing the AoE cap to limit BIG ZERG play…
Now a few defenders truely get an advantage defending keep —- AoE the choke point, really hurts (OMG… you just can’t run mindlessly though the door)
Of course, the cap does not have to be completely removed, this can be done in an iterative fashion.

I understand this and I also think its a bad idea that’s why I’m giving suggestions.
Allowing zergs to tag people for full XP is a terrible design decision that will make this entire system meaningless.
And yet, no one bothers to address “what is a zerg”.
Are 30 well trained, fluid guild members all working in tandem a zerg? Or are they an army? How bout 50 of them? Is that a zerg yet? Is 30 vs. 30 GvG a ZvZ?
Might as well just go with the sandpile paradox in reverse:
- Are X guild members a zerg or are they a well coordinated?
+1 to infinity where X is <1 than your definition of how many #s it takes to make a zerg a zerg.Who would and how does one draw the line on “X is too many teammates, you’re a zerg”. I don’t consider the likes of my servers big, organized guilds running in groups (20, 30, even some 40+) zergs, I consider them a guild and a team. Yet, because we’re to assign some arbitrary distinction of “the zerg”… they suddenly aren’t going to be rewarded as if they were a team. How is such a thing fair? Why do two X0 vs X0 guilds going at it head to head suddenly being rewarded less for their efforts? Did the fight somehow become a lot easier when it was X*10 vs. X*10 people rather than just X vs X?
If you want to break up the zerg, add more incentives for scouting (or, as the sword change did, more punishment for not scouting). However this is a difficult balance because its often times impossible to discern a scout at a keep from an afk at said keep.
I would rather see this game be something we all (wvw community) can enjoy and not the rest stop on people’s way to TESO or CU.

edit: Seriously Anet, reconsider this. It’s going to be a big make or break it point vs this game and TES.Stop this already, you cannot compare a game that exists as bullet points and in a mystical ether called your imagination to a game that actually exists in purchasable media.
I see your point but here is your mistake, when 30 v 30 happens and your side wins you will split the total amount of xp from 30 kills amoungst 30 people meaning you will get the same amount of xp as if 1 v 1 happened. You would make out even better if your 30 took out 50. What Anet is doing is makeing it so if the same battle happens you will receive xp as if it was 1v30 and if those same 30 run over a guy solo and all tag him (unlikely but still) they all get xp as if it was a 1v1. That’s not right. At best this system encorages nothing but Zerg play and at worst you will get spawn camping and outmanned teams just not showing up to fight since why should they give wxp to the other team when they have no chance? This does nothing to bring more people out to wvw and does nothing to spread the fighting out over the whole map and not focus it in two to three areas.
Please don’t tell me what to compare and not to compare I have been around long enough to know that poor decisions made to a live game will and does drive people to become more interested on what’s on the horizon.

Not all WvW zergs are bad! I lead my guild (a decent sized zerg) with strategy not just a 2v20 or something. A lot of guild leaders and commanders enjoy zerg v zerg startegy and fighting. But I do agree, don’t make zergs the only way to play!
But what about everyone else?
Only select zerg leaders have all the fun?
That does not sound very inclusive.

Thus the zerging continues… full credit is just a incentive to clump and aoe… sounds like a work around a coding issue.

Rally, the ultimate PvP crutch. The singular WvW mechanic which gets the care-bears out into the WvW, but aids in the zerg fest.
This is the most broken issue now WvW (well other than culling, AOE caps, etc., we all know the litany by now), I digress.

We transfered from maguuma to avoid the zergyness. They are getting stomped by tc for the same reason they will stomp sbi…population.
The population gradient in this 3,4,5 tier range is extreme.
IMO they need more Crypt Keepers over these tiers …. that Hundred Blades will Keep Ya Downed…
