Well, it’s really sad that no reactions from the devs here. If they at least write some conclusion like “We’ll working on replacement, we were unable to fix this trait” or just something, it would be better than silence I guess

Sure! Arena Net is so open to it’s customers! Moderators read and respond to harassment so fast! Even the last moderation announcement was because of 2 posts on a forum about their great work
Guys from arena net, please do not lie to your customers in QA videos! You do not listen to us at all.

@Stolen. It seems you don’t understand.
1) We have a trait and it’s description.
2) The description (tooltip) says one thing, and the result is different.
So it’s a bug. It doesn’t matter how Arena Net will fix it. They even can remove this trait and bring another one. It’s theit job. But the most terrifying thing is that all elementalists have this bug since the release and we never got respond from QA about it.
It’s not our job to think what to do with this trait. Our job is to make Arena net know about a critical bug that hasn’t been fixed since the release.
Arena Net ignores this thread, and other threads, concerning Linger Elements trait. I pay them for this game, I pay them for gems. So I want Arena net even answer me.

@Spectrum.4985 Just read tooltip of an icon shown after switching atunnements. And a tooltip of an attunement.
What’s about Lava Axe now? We can easily stack 25 might with it. And also make firefield blast each 5 seconds.
Did you count dps with Lava Axe? Also it gives us more power in passive.
This is a bug. If Arena net thinks that this trait works as designed, then the have to change it’s tooltip. The information on a tooltip is wrong in this case. Or they have to fix the design of this trait to make it do what the tooltip says.
Look at other bug threeads regarding traits. They answer them. But they totally ignore this one for one year.

You say so but look for 1 year you don’t fix bugs that concern class traits and runes! And you even don’t answer to these bugs!
Lingering Elements trait doesn’t work for one year! This is a really importaint trait for elementalist and every one else except elems has 6 traits in a line 5 but we have 5 not 6!
Also some runes don’t work and you do not answer us! For example Rine of the strengh!
If you really want us to help your company to develop this game please listen to us.
Just not to give incorrect info. I’ll test it more accurate today’s evening after my job.
yeah, your foes will patiently wait for you to build various stacks of might and fury…. seems legit.

Nope. Yesterday I tested it. I have 20 seconds fury per stack.
I did more than 1 minute of fury.
Did you test it today?
So 5 minutes is max? I tested it for 2.5 minutes.
So you can easily stack 10 minutes of fury and it takes ~ 5 minutes
Then switch Lava Axe for another skill and fight the boss. Imho it’s the worst thing Arena Net could introduce in the patch. Infinity….

Now lava axe +% boon duration runes allow to give your party constant fury for the whole fight! just before that fight)

Look at Purging Flames buff for guardians -20% condition duration AOE! And now look at +1.5 sec movement speed that is not working out of combat…
So Arena Net please fix your 1 year bug with this trait!

Guys it works correctly! Only after this patch I’ve totally understand this trait!
You can see a small icon that is blinking under your boons icons when you switch the attunements! And yes it is 5 seconds! This means that we get +10% bonuses from one attunement being in another!
But ~20 people zergs is possible to survive in an open space with dd
And then you fight one good tpvp player and get totally crushed.
We do not speak about people who are gods of this game and top world players. I speak about average level and it’s no point to compare skills. I’m just saying that with a proper build elementalist can survive zergs and help friendly raids to tactically win zerg fights, just watch videos I shared above…
There is no purpose to chase zergs alone if you don’t have a near friendly zerg. The main aim is to split or stretch enemy zerg to make a proper fight possition for a friendly raid.
Guys we have 98% resistance to slow effects! I think not every elementalist player knows it…

40 people is only possible while defending castle by jumping with static field from the wall and struggling near gate. But with staff it is possible to “play” with 40 man zergs and to split them alone in an open space!
But ~20 people zergs is possible to survive in an open space with dd
I chase 20 – 40 man zergs in wvw with dd spec. And they can’t kill me.
d / d and staff are great in WvW! Just need a clever build.

I ask my friend warrior, he sais he does 18-20k hits on a boss!!! How can it be so? I have a full berzerk gear and LW does 3500 – 4500 max on a crit!
Also to mention it is really hard to land ice commet! Only some bosses allow to do it…
I also thinking about switching 10 earth trait to 10 arcane trait to get elemental attunement and +10 boon duration… -10% to damege but +1 might every 12 seconds but i don’t think it can give more dps

Sure my mistake, 20 for myself…
Yes it is. But inspite of this, this build is great for two things!
1) Staff damage on trash and some hard evade bosses
2) Constant fury to all team and 12 – 18 stacks of might (with boon duration runes). And this in without scepter! So our dps with LW is consistent.
I use Arcane wave + boon runes so sometimes i can buff myself for 20-22 might during the fight 20+ fractals.

So we do not include Drake’s Breath and Cone of Cold in a rotation?
They make DPS lost? Do we loose DPS from not swaping every 12 seconds for lightning strike?
Also for runes I had a great game with +30% boon runes and +20% fury runes having +5 seconds to your shared fury!
It helps a lot and also you have your might stacks last longer. Yes I know that scholar runes give a huge DPS boost but it seems that +50% fury duration and +30% might duration to all group give at leas the same damage boost.
You wait for earth and water phase 15 seconds each. So with these runes you get 15 seconds of fury not 10.

So i tested it in 20 level fractals and it works great!
Constant fury to all party! And a ton of damage from this build even with boon duration runes

PvE ele must be DD only in zerk armor, otherwise high level fractals will last forever
You can’t be a DD and Tank for WvW.
Good tanky build to chaise zerg is 0/0/20/20/30 by daphoenix555
Good Damage build for small groups or solo is 0/30/0/10/30 but in it you can’t go zerging
10/0/0/30/30 is only good for 5 man group roming on WvW now

0/0/20/20/30 why are you using Cavalier’s trinkets but not Knight’s?
In this build Knight’s will give you more damage cause of a low basic crit chance and also mae you get vigor boon more often.
But if we use +15% boon 15% fury 20% fury we’ll only need 2 blast finishers.
we’ll loose:
1) 10% damage health > 90% but we gain 10% from fire traits
2) we loose 90+50+25 = 165 power but we gain +300 power from fire
3) we loose 4% crit damage
so i see that we do not loose any damage compared to your standard build but even get some more and share fury constantly with only 2 blast finishers!
I conted that if we use 3 x +15% boon duration than we can maintain constant fury on a group
Is it worth switching shcollar?

When you use 4 signets + 2 auras you’ll get:
1) Maintain all signet passive bonuses
2) get 27.9 seconds of protection;
3) get 46.5 seconds of fury;
4) get 55.8 seconds of swiftness;
What do you think about this? It’s not a working and tested build just my theoretical investigations.
