If there was a zombie apocalypse IRL

I think you’d want something with as much coverage from bites as possible. Some weapon like a mace for smashing in skulls. Or, thinking of the Zombie Survival Guide, maybe an Engineer to make turrets with head shots, something to penetrate the skull and bounce small projectiles around inside the skull to ensure brain puree kills.

Crossdressing

I don’t suppose they’d want to do all the extra art-work for that, although it’d be cool. There are other games where the female characters have such trashy revealing outfits you’d want to dress them in male clothes. There’s one where where pretty-much every females costumes provides up-skirt panty shots and most of them look like sex workers or dommes.

I feel your pain. I despise jumping, and especially how much in GW2 is gated behind jumping.

I just did world completionist on my Elementalist yesterday, and, to be honest, I didn’t find any of the jump vistas too bad. A few annoying ones, but more a matter of figuring out where to go than the actual mechanics.

What prompted this post was this one vista in Dry Top, it takes awhile just to get to it, and if you fail, you usually die. It wouldn’t be so bad if you had a re-spawn point right there, but you don’t. That adds greatly to the frustration factor.

Isn’t it easier just to ask for help in /map? I can’t tell you how many people I’ve ported or guided to a vista or PoI over the years. Lots of people are standing by, practically waiting for your call for assistance.

I’d actually suggest that you absolutely, positively can pay for the vista: offer gold for a port, if you can’t get one otherwise. Somebody might be unwilling to switch characters for free, but I’ll bet that it is less than $20 worth of gold to convince them to do so.

Heck yes, anyone needing a vista portal and willing to pay 20$ for it can pm me in game anytime. I’ll hop on my mesmer and portal you to any vista in the game for some easy money!

But to the original points, just ask. I have been helped out by mesmers casting portals for free plenty of times. They usually take a donation if you feel generous but usually willing to do it just to help.

I didn’t know such a thing was possible, I’m pretty noob-ish. I’ve played casually, mostly on my Elementalist.

I know this’ll be a very unpopular suggestion, but for old folks, we really need a cash shop item ($5, $10, maybe even $20), that would allow us to click on a vista and say “I got that one”, without actually having to spend hours trying to do it. I’m pushing sixty, and this super mario bros. BS can get pretty tiring in an MMO RPG.

Blocking dps meters

DPS meters and raiding, two of the three things that make WoW the toxic game that it is. The third being Trade chat. Do we really need those things in THIS game?

Did GW2 lose its identity?

I didn’t read all the posts, and I imagine I’m just going to repeat what most people are saying: I hate raiding. When I first started playing WoW leveling was painfully slow (just before BC dropped), leveling WAS the game. Now it’s all about raiding, if you’re not raiding, you’re not playing the game. What I liked when I started with GW 2 was that there weren’t raids, the game was dynamic content, whomping the Champions (from what I’ve seen). Lower-level zones actually had PLAYERS, lots of them! Not ghost-zones like in WoW that when you’re leveling an alt you feel like you’re playing the game by yourself. I bought HoT without a second thought because I thought “well, I’ve liked everything else in this game.” I hate raiding, games are supposed to be fun, not a life-style. Someone mentioned DPS meters are coming? Even worse.

PvE - Which is the best weapon set?

I leveled to 80 with Staff & fire and it was — difficult. Your 5th slot skill could do a lot of damage in its radius, but I kept getting interrupted because it took SO LONG to cast. Your spells in the 1 slot only affects one guy, I believe. I decided to have my elementalist do map completion, however, but decided to swap to Lighting (for the speed boost) and two daggers (maybe I’ll just stick to one in main hand, haven’t decided), but so far I’d say the lighting whip and Lighting build are much better for clearing trash mobs and blasting trough and completing zones. I think I’d have gotten to 80 a lost faster with this spec.

Crafting Economy

I was away from the game for several years, playing Archeage and then World of Tanks, and just came back. I decided I’d try to start levelling some crating skills and, based on what I’m seeing in the Trading Post, the economy looks pretty dead. Am I right about this? Am I wasting my time (well, gold) trying to level crafting?
