Guild Wars 2

I’m trying to view my past tickets and I logged in on chrome and on edge and they both do the same thing. I login to support (which ironically takes me to the general settings overview page)… okay, I see my overview and general settings, my email, account etc., but when I click on “support” up top it brings me back to the support page (FAQ) and logs me back out again, so I login again and it takes me back to the general overview page, in an endless loop and cycle. When are you going to fix this? I’d love to login and be able to see my actual support tickets for once.

Right now.

1) Easy dailies
2) sense of community

That’s about it, otherwise its completely boring and the match ups need to be fixed. The imbalances of world populations and linkages across the board are insane.

I don’t own Photoshop nor do I care enough to do such a thing. I’ll go back tomorrow as I work tomorrow and the Wal-Mart is basically within walking distance. I’m running driver version: 353.30 on NVIDIA GeForce Experience for GTX 760 TI OC 2gb, what do you mean by rolling back? I tried uninstalling all the drivers for the video card and installed an older version but I’m not sure if it was a whole 100% clean install as there may of been bits and pieces of the newer driver still on my system.

Yup, its plugged into the sata 3 port, i honestly just think its my graphics driver, something to do with the phys x engine.

I’m trying out the frame rate cap thing now you recommended, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Edit: I set it to 60 capped frame rate and it basically crashed a few minutes later, but instead of slow motion it just skipped frames…lol..

Picture here: “optimal settings” everything else is high except shaders being low = optimal? I think something is wrong with the shader.

Hey, thanks for the replies, I actually upgraded the computer im using. I swapped out the case and the SSD only. Ever since I did that I started getting that weird lag basically, about 1-2 weeks ago and I’ve been trying to fix it ever since. There’s nothing wrong with the SSD or the case as I actually took them back to the store and swapped them out for another one seeing as I thought those might’ve been causing it. The other SSD I had (that I took back) actually didn’t do this weird lag, it’d just freeze up and crash, this one just has this lag to it for some reason.

I’m wondering if it could be a motherboard issue or if it’s just a failing video card, my screen does seem to take a while to turn on because I get a “no signal” for about 10-15 seconds, shuts off then I have to shut it back on and it works again (when I restart the computer or power it on)

Hi, for the past 1-2 weeks or so I’ve been getting this weird lag (as seen in the video link below) and it basically has gotten to the point where I can’t play anymore as it does this A LOT.

I have a Nvidia GTX 760 OC video card if that has anything to do with it.

It hasn’t done this before.

The email sent out to players was a poor choice of words on Arena Nets’ part. Honestly, they should invite all of the players who bought the game when it was released (pre-order, etc.) It seems a lot of players who buy gems, contribute to the game in many ways and people who spend time playing the game and supporting it since day 1 have not gotten in. I’m pretty sure that’s not the proper way to run a company. If you say it’s randomly selected then freaking revise your statement and take out the whole “loyal” thing. It’s not even about the beta that gets to me its the fact that YOUR choice of words really upset a lot of people who actually freaking support the game and are the true “Loyal players”.

I keep lagging but in any other map it seems to be fine, only tiny lag spurts here and there, but in the silverwastes map I keep getting latency big time to the point it’s unplayable. I’m using a wireless card and my internet seems to be fine, it’s been doing this the past few days in that specific map, any suggestions?

Its real simple. There are two types of peoples we want to bring back to the game: Roleplayers and WvWers.

The former are often smart enough to see straight through flimsy features like housing or marriage (again, lol), they probably want better basic functionality instead (like improved megaserver tech that doesnt scatter them to the wind).

The latter isnt going to give a rats kitten about anything other than WvW and GW2 is in dire need of improvements and tune ups in that area.

What about PvEers you say? HA! Grinders that have left the game isnt going to come back. The ones that havent left are still running around flipping over rocks in Orr in order to find some wooden sticks and possibly a worm or two. Or speedrunning dungeons with 5 man warrior teams. What are they going to do with player housing? Design it like CoF and start working out ways to run even faster?

But of course, Anet only seem to care about the PvEers. Living story, yay!

Secondly, I’ve no idea what you’re even going on about with COF, who has ever mentioned wanting a home instance like COF to run it faster? what? I’m so confused.

To all of the people laughing at some of the suggestions I put up, that’s your own opinion and it does not reflect on the entire player bases opinion on things, as mine doesn’t either, but it’s there, and people have suggested it, so get over it.

Games generally have an expansion 6 months to a year after a game is released in some way or some form, plus the silence of the developers and the staff at arena net is the biggest issue we have here.

Been catching up on Big Bang Theory Episodes and just saw this tonight Lol, that advertisement.

Did AC a day ago and the instance opener disconnected and it kicked us all out, I noticed it’s being less common now that this is happening for myself anyways but it’s still there and still an annoyance.

Yeah it is pretty disturbing that every freaking thing that gets added to this game is on the gem store -_- seems like there’s more gem shop items than fixes or updates, I understand they need to make money but didn’t they milk china enough? its literally costing them nothing to sell the game because most of the people buy digital copies, anyways I’m still hopeful maybe someone will stop by and think “hey maybe we should fix that”, seems like a fairy tale though xD

It’s the best thing there is in dungeons, no way I want to see it “fixed”. I create an instance, and if some nerd decides to kick out my friend or some other person for their guildie or whatever reason, I can simply demand them to get him back in or I disband the party. The few gold you lose and the trouble to clear the path a second time after disbanding the party at the last boss is totally worth punishing such players.
And now you want to remove all that power from me, the little options there are to punish such behaviour? Giving those guys full access to bully parties as they like, without any consequences? You’re not on a good cause here, my friend.

That’s what the report button is for in game, it’ll eventually discourage the behavior and people will think twice about doing that, they just need to be able to let you see party chat after you get kicked from the party, or simply put a “recently played with” option on friends list

Maybe they’ll see it if it stays on the front page -_- especially towards the top.

Silence is the biggest killer of any game, period; even if they are working on it and don’t even say anything it causes frustration within the gaming community of said game.

Yeah anytime I happen to get in a group full of one specific guild I just leave, better to waste a few minutes looking for a new party than do the dungeon and risk being kicked.

I had a guy a few days ago who was the instance owner and at the end of the dungeon he disconnected and it kicked everyone out, this is really bothersome.

This is not about buying or selling runs, if you want to talk about that go make your own thread please, this is about fixing dungeons so your party doesn’t get booted if something happens to the instance owner.

If they Nerf dungeon loot and gold i’m quitting this game, no reason to play a game with crap ways of making money, not spending real money each month to convert gems into gold, rather spend my time elsewhere.

Let’s not get off topic here, this happens to a lot of players, even if your internet went bad for 2 weeks you should still be able to play dungeons if you want to; regardless of it limiting your ability to contribute as much as you could with no internet issues.

Yes, good idea, Arena net has probably been thinking of doing this for a while, let’s see if more people come to back this idea up, if there’s no good way of generating in game gold in game then people will be forced to exchange gems for gold, it’s a win win situation for arena net!

I’m looking for a guild that mainly does PVE (World boss train on reset, guild missions every week, etc)

Not to mention guild wars 2 support is abysmal, they outsourced a lot of their support representatives to outside countries most likely for cheap labor; I love the game and all but there’s way too much crap going on that’s not getting fixed and support really isn’t all that great.

Yes, it is very irritating doing a dungeon run only to be kicked out due to these circumstances and many others.

Did you even bother to read the post? or did you just look at the title and decide to give me a link that I obviously know about but doesn’t seem to get a lot of attention there.

Since game launch back in august of 2012 dungeons have been always attached to the person who opened the dungeon instance; if they leave (disconnect/reconnect/log out/crash/errors/change characters, leave the party, etc.) the whole party is forcefully kicked out of the dungeon, leaving a lot of angry party members feeling like they did all of that work for nothing, no reward, no exp at the end, nothing.

I myself am afraid to open a dungeon instance, even though I have all the explorable paths unlocked and I can open them myself on my main character, there’s too much variables going on here that make me shy away from starting the dungeon instance with my party, because I DO NOT want to be the one who gets blamed for everyone’s dungeon experience being ruined due to poor coding by the developers; not to mention anyone’s internet at any time throughout the day or throughout the night can go haywire and re-connect/disconnect or just plain out go offline for an unknown amount of time.

When will Arena Net fix this issue that has been plaguing the game since launch in August 2012? It’s been almost 2 years since the game has launched and this issue is a major issue for a lot of people, and we’d like to see it get fixed, we don’t want to all be kicked out of the dungeon instance just because the person who opened it in our party disconnects or has other problems occur, thank you!

Getting a legendary for most people is a long term goal, if you don’t think about it, and just enjoy the game everyday, just playing the game and actually doing something and not screwing around in town, you’ll eventually get it.

If it’s the only thing on your mind and the only thing keeping you playing the game then maybe this game isn’t for you, you shouldn’t put whether you play a game or not on a piece of equipment.

Great points, valid too. But to be honest in WvW you’re not gonna see many water field healing going on Unless it’s an organized guild. Most of the time it’s Pugs in WvW and maybe some will come on voice communication but the majority don’t, another plus side to having a monk class is you can heal anyone right off the bat and contribute, without all of the hassle and going through voice comms to coordinate.

Guild Wars had monks, why can’t Guild Wars 2? I get the whole “we don’t want the holy trinity thing” but for what? no offense but I think it failed, it was a good try though but we need to step aside for a moment and view things from an observant point of view.

Dungeon Runs – The most effective way to run a dungeon is to have your party in all zerker gear and just downing every boss you can as fast as you can, not to mention stacking up in corners, dungeons are so easy in this game it’s laughable, every boss needs to be fixed, yes, but it’s about high time we had a new profession in the game that should’ve (in my opinion) been here since day 1, a monk; let’s face it we have the LFG tool now, and people STILL wait around for a party, wasn’t that the whole selling point of not having a monk (healer class) in Guild Wars 2? so you don’t have to wait for hours to find a healer? or a tank? All you managed to do was make a DPS meta, that’s it, there’s no variety whatsoever. (I also think the rune of the monk would be EXCELLENT on an actual monk profession)

World vs World – Better known as zerg vs zerg, is one big cluster of warriors/guardians running into eachother popping stability and immunitys and hoping they win the exchange to get a bunch of loot bags, by far I have never been more bored of world vs world since game launch, its repetitive, there’s not much variety at all. Anyone else feel like they don’t CONTRIBUTE anything at all to world vs world? it just feels too weird following a zerg around and just having DPS wars till 1 side collapses or runs away. A Healer in world vs world would be fantastic, In my opinion it’d feel great to be a healer and feel as if you’re contributing to the fight rather than being just another # in a zerg.

Right now the best healing class is what? Elementalist? with abysmal cooldowns and not even great heals to begin with. We need Monks back in Guild Wars 2, how come we lost all history of the monks yet we can send the durmand priory to find ancient dwarven relics which would seem it’d be harder to find by logic? yet we can’t find anything about monks and their healing arts? It would be lovely if in the future when Cantha is introduced we’d get a new healing class (Monk) and they’d be based in Cantha, all of the healing arts were somehow salvaged there and brought to use in modern Tyria.

What do you guys think? Sorry wish I could be more organized but i’m in a slight hurry here.

You sound like someone who enjoys killing other people in pve zones and thinking you’re some sort of macho man for doing it, no offense to your grammar, but It’s so stereotypical here, I’ve had my fair share of people with bad English trying to pk me, my friends, or my guild and then talk crap afterwards.

That summed up your post right there, and i’m most likely right about the kind of person you are; don’t like the game? then leave, Guild Wars 2 will never have pking allowed in PVE zones, the only possible thing I could see that would become even remotely close to what you’re asking is GvG allowed in PVE, but that’s most likely it, and even then I don’t see a high chance of that.
