When SOR defeated tequatl for the first time, it was very exciting, I personally have been out there since the new tequatl update commenced (not at all of them) but I’ve been to at least 8-10 dragon fights before finally winning. What do I get? 2 blues and 3-4 greens with 1 rare from a “bonus” chest. It’s quite sad honestly…all that time for that. If I wanted blues and greens i’d kill regular mobs -_- I like the new tequatl update it’s VERY FUN, but the reward is horrible…very horrible.

Sanctum of Rall killed it today.

Yeah the loot was pretty crappy and not on par with the amount of time and effort needed to defeat tequatl. I got a bunch of blues and greens I could’ve farmed in literally 30 seconds off any mobs on any map and 1 rare from a “bonus” chest. what a joke.

Anyone know how to open this door/thing blocking it to get into the secret room inside?

I tried using Push but it doesn’t work, tried it at every possible angle…

Any help would be appreciated

I’ve got to say though all the games I’ve played so far there’s never been a developer or anyone that cared so much about the content they released and actually cared about what the players want and need, so props to you Josh Foreman. Earlier it kind of ruined my day not going to lie, spending 4 hours trying to complete zone 2 of world 2 XD especially that gong house, that was such a mood killer (getting there got easy after doing it many times but when you have to follow the gong that’s when it gets tricky and a bit irritating)

Overall I like the new SAB but it’s insanely hard for me, not sure about others players though, and I rather not do infantile mode.

On the positive Side

+1 to a whole new world of SAB
+1 to the amount of work you guys put into it, the levels are long and really thought out and detailed, but perhaps too long?
+1 for the great devs that made SAB
+1 for it being challenging (like really challenging)

On the Negative Side

-The levels are too long in my opinion, I’ll be on the lookout for the shortcut eagle next time though
-Perhaps too challenging?
-A lot of risk and maybe not enough rewards for the time spent doing it

Overall I’m impressed with the work you guys did in making the levels, but I feel like it’s unnecessarily long, but many thanks for creating a nice world inside a world.

I barely slept last night I was so excited….then – THIS!!!! This video is EXACTLY what I have experienced so far. What happened to my SAB??!!! I am currently stuck at W2:Z3 because I don’t have enough baubles to buy a torch?! Since when do you need to purchase items to complete content?? You gave me the PUSH glove…just saying. I would have lots of baubles but I spent a TON on continue coins as I have been at this for 4+hrs with my guildie. And since you were SO nice to change dig spots from World 1 and World 2:Z1 and replace them with a stupid chest with random amounts, I can’t hoard them like I used to. I am one of those people who lived in the box. Logged in today & got 2 skins & 2 mini Motos because I saved all my bauble bubbles. Hate to admit it, but I had to be carried through most of the new content. Between the rapids, OP assassins, endless poison dart traps and now an unpassable-mountain-without-a-torch-crap, I couldn’t stay alive long enough to round a corner.

Awesome video btw. Made me laugh when I needed it most. SAB made my guildie rage quit and made me cry :`(

Well I officially ran out of lives and baubles, just wasted 4 hours of my life trying to complete part 2 of world 2, what do I have to show for it? nothing.

Actually I do have something to show for it, 00 lives left, 0 continue coins, not enough baubles or bauble baubbles to continue with, so in reality you sapped me of coins, perhaps I had too much, so maybe thank you for that?

Never attempting this again, it’s not worth the time and stress, I suffer from anxiety in real life and this map is insanely long and nothing like world 1.

well i made it to the gong, I see no way in hell i’m making it back down. i thought it ended with getting to the gong, NOPE, gotta stress me out more and have a journey all the way back down! joy how fun is this.

I thought the updates for every 2 weeks are meant for everyone? not 1% of the population, so not sure what Lande is talking about. If you want to keep it hard go to tribulation mode -_- this is insanely hard just for a normal mode. dear lord.

I learned the map a long time ago, 3-4 hours ago. and i’m still on it. maybe I suck at it, who knows but all the dart traps and the mobs that knock you back straight into the dart traps and having to start all over is really demoralizing.

edit: on my last life and no more continue coins -_- barely any baubles left, just about to quit this :/

zone 2 is insanely hard…like It’s not even fun i’m not sure what the intention was there, zone 1 was kind of fun and exciting, zone 2 is just dull and way too freaking time consuming…on top of that you have the stupid ninja dart traps, it’s so lame being 1 shot and not even in tribulation mode, also there’s way too freaking many too, I don’t even like playing because i’m afraid i’ll be hit by those kitten arrows near the doors and on pillars, it’s freaking irritating…I shouldn’t have to feel this way about any game I Play, I really want to finish it for the perks, but right now it’s just too time consuming and hard, you literally have to take baby steps -.-

example: I stroll through a doorway, clearly seeing the traps I try to avoid them, turn the corner and BAM, dead from a trap, how fun is that. having to walk all the freaking way back too is ridiculous, the check points are too far apart and I’m out of continue coins -_- can’t imagine tribulation mode.

TLDR: minimize the traps -_- or something jeez.

For the people saying everyone is gonna use the watch knight skin constantly, nope…that’s not gonna happen, maybe at first but over time people won’t be doing it. If you noticed anything about previous events, everyone wanted that super adventure box greatsword, now look around, barely anyone has it. But I for one dislike the 5 minute duration time -_- it’s so useless, just please change it to last longer and take the cooldown off or something.

Yes please, just remove the cool-down altogether…it’s so lame…only 5 minutes of use time and 30 mins cool-down? I really like the tonic it’s one of the best rewards in my opinion from completing an achievement set but please just remove the cool-down.

Yes, blocking works (from shield and from 1h sword being in off hand slot) but the 8 orb achievement is insanely hard :/ haven’t heard of a warrior beating it yet, I’ve tried many times and failed.

I agree ….if they took out the time limit it would make all of our lives easier….countless times i’ve come so close to getting the 8 orb achievement with liadri and I just run out of time -__-

Any warriors beat it? seeing as my main is a warrior I have no other options

Yeah I gave up for now…after 60+ tries and dieing constantly it’s not worth it…the most I ever got her down to was like 5-10% hp with 2 more orbs left to hit her with and i basically ran out of time again…please just remove the timer altogether…it’s really ridiculous, you literally have to be lucky to get this achievement, I’ve been in try hard mode for the past 2 hours and no results and I ran out of tokens too.

Has anyone actually completed this achievement? and if you did could you please share tips on how? I actually hit her with 8 orbs but I ran out of time (I even gathered the clones so i’d get more orbs off 1 light circle burst) it just seems impossible, dodging all the aoes and clones while trying to throw orbs at her WHILE she friken attacks you at the same time and cripples constantly, on top of that you HAVE to kill her, i’d be content with 8 orbs and not killing her, heck even 6 orbs and killing her MIGHT be possible.

But what it is now is extremely insane and I don’t really see how anyone could do this…..just because of the time limit alone.

Finally beat it, took me around 30 tries to accomplish (but practice makes perfect after all) keep going at it and you’ll get better…

Any Tips on beating her? the lowest I got her was to 25% hp…then I died…as usual, my average I get her to 75%-50% HP…any tips? I play a Warrior + I run sword (for the leap) and warhorn (for the endurance regen/swiftness) + rifle to damage her with…it seems impossible, ive tried 30+ times already

Okay, so my friend has been trying to transfer servers for quite some time now and is basically about to give up, I got in the server were supposed to go to and she didn’t.

now my question is this, when you are at the character select screen, do you have to completely re-log to see the servers update at “world selection” or could she just stay on character select and close + re-open the world select box and would it work that way too? because it seems the pop’s never changed if I closed/re-opened the world selection box, but some people say that’s not true, any advice, thanks.

I was banned a day ago (4 hours from now) for “inappropriate language” when I believe I never directly attacked anyone specifically (72 hour ban total)

I am one of the many commanders in world vs world for stormbluff isle and the only thing I can think of that got me banned was “motivational cursing” while leading the charge into battle, you know I never thought I’d actually get banned for motivating people, sorry if that’s a crime, our server saw a severe decline in world vs world and my motivation worked a lot, we ended up wiping the enemy a ton of times because of it, I just find this plain right outrageous that I would be banned for something like that in all seriousness.

I contacted customer support and all I got back was an auto-response…as expected, no help whatsoever so now im trying my luck here I suppose, please respond.

well…what a big disappointment, leaving us with 50 cogs left to make a 3rd mini…I wish they’d just let us build the 3rd mini -_- and get the other 2 in some other means..i’d be fine with that…I mean it’s understandable they want us to buy the rest of the minis (since their account bound anyways) and their a company and they need money like any other company, but dang :\

whatever man, in the end we all know what you did, there’s no way you can legit-Ly get to that spot the portal was at to begin with unless you’re already inside the inner gate which i doubt because we clean sweeped it bottom to top, every corner, angle, spot possible. I just find it ironic as soon as your mesmer disappeared from being dead, lord behold a PORTAL showed up right by her @ the cliff edge, we were checking 360 degrees the whole time making sure you guys didnt come in.

yes, i was there also, this mesmer from [DiE] literally was laying dead on the ground for like 15 minutes we watched over her, then suddenly she disappears and a portal appears, and about 30+ SoS portal in and storm the lord room, also a ton of other SoS not in DiE guild took the portal too, thereby participating in the exploit, I hope arena net does something about that specific guilld.

Every time I open my contacts list I get a HUGE fps drop in game especially when I scroll through my list…it gets worse, it’s been like this for about 2 months or so as it stands and I tried everything from re-installing the game, updating flash player, video card drivers, repairing the game client, etc…. and nothing works at all, and I know it can’t possibly be on my end because other people are having the same problem too (also with guild list)

My question is, when will this be fixed? I don’t even want to open my friends list because of the insane fps drop it gives me, and it shouldn’t be like that…guild wars 2 encourages people to be social and have a good time, and the insane fps drop says otherwise, sure we can still use the friend’s list, but with the insane lag it gives out it’s not even really worth using anymore…i’d like to just see who’s online without being hit hard with an insane fps drop.

I provided 2 pictures detailing my FPS without the contacts list opened, and with the contacts list open, and you can see the incredible difference.

Yeah I agree with elderan… the turtle bomb won’t make your server any better looking to other servers, call it an exploit, clever use of game mechanics, but at the end of the day all it is is a cheap tactic that’s taking advantage of an over-looked aspect of the game with the AOE Cap limit of 5 players in 1 clumped up area.

I guess all the players on the EU servers, who use this tactic regularly and have used it since beta, are cheap then?

If you’d like to put it like that, then yes. i’ve seen plenty of times a server working hard to take down a tower, keep, etc then out of no where comes a portal bomb, completely wrecking the crap out of all the hard work within seconds, and with very little casualty on the bombing side, if any at all, because of the immunity to aoe (5 player cap limit) i’m sorry I see something wrong with an over looked game mechanic on arena net’s side being abused by a lot of people, can’t justify that tactic =)

Seriously players quitting a game over an optional puzzle?…come on.

You need to take a chill pill man and relax, the puzzle is meant to be a challenge, do you seriously expect everything to be easy and handed to you on a silver platter?

Leave the puzzle as is, the only thing I could think of to quit the whining on here is maybe slow down the acid (or ooze, whatever it is) but not too much, it’s not bad now, you just have to be fast, and memorize the jumps.

oh wow, you still got a Halloween skin (shoulders) and gasp only opened 12 chests? If I were you I wouldn’t be complaining because a skin is a skin consider yourself lucky to even get one because people opened way more than you did man, just saying, also I got a charged lodestone (worth 1.60g+) on my 2nd chest i opened (out of the 4) so it was pretty nice, regardless that I didn’t get a skin.

bought 10 keys, got jack squat, but it’s nothing compared to people who bought $50+ worth of gems, heck even $20+….I’m kind of disappointed at the low rate of the Halloween items drop rate from the chest, at least tell people what the “chances” are…-_-

I also still have this issue, I installed Flash player for BOTH IE and Firefox, tried the repair thing for the guild wars 2 client as well, messed around with the in game settings, even cleared out some people on my friends list, still doesn’t solve the problem :\

not everyone is a warrior or guardian dottek, also you should be penalized (movement speed wise) for being hit and entering combat, or hitting something. but it shouldn’t be as slow as it is now

yeah i’d love to throw christmas lights on people too XD, also yes the necro one would probably be cooler than the original, but all the reason to get it^^

Hey everyone not sure if this was thought up before yet or even mentioned before, but I thought up of some cool holiday (christmas) elite skill skins that would go perfect for the season.

Warrior: Battle Standard - Instead of summoning the plain old banner, you’d summon a christmas tree you could pick up and carry around with you (or it could be a candy cane!)

Mesmer: Moa Morph - Instead of turning people into a moa bird (although it’s fun) you’d turn them into a reindeer or a mini santa clause (or an elf), that could have skills that throw presents instead of the usual moa skills

Theif: Thieves guild – Have the 2 thieves that are summoned have elf costumes? or just a plain old santa hat and instead of the guns 1 of them uses it could be candy canes (or they could be nutcrackers)

Ranger: Entangle - instead of the boring old entangling roots, it could be changed into christmas wreaths or christmas lights that wrap around your enemy and light up.

Necromancer: Lich Form - instead of the weird ghost thingy that apparently can do the carlton dance? it could be the ghost of christmas future. (you can google it if you don’t know what it looks like but it looks pretty awesome and would fit well)

Engineer: Supply Crate - the medikits could be christmas presents, and the turrets could be stationary gingerbread mans that shoot from a mini candy cane.

Guardian: Tome of Courage - it could be a christmas book (for carols) and each skill you use would play a beautiful melodic sound and have christmas effects with it)

Elementalist: Torando - could perhaps be a snow storm, and the skills would have icy effects to them, or Glyph of Elementals – could summon a yeti based on your current attunements (not too sure:))

Random Add on (Non-Elite): Have immobilization skills be christmas lights instead of the bolas and it wraps around your opponent)

Well that’s all I can think of, if anyone wants to add on to these that’d be great =) would be awesome to see maybe some of these or perhaps, all of these around christmas time (you could sell them in the gem store)
