Norn Thief has been my main since 2012.
I do have one of each profession, but mostly just for utility (crafting, extra storage) purposes.
Gotcha. Thanks Belzebu.
i5. i7 is over kill, unless you plan on going in to multi tasking in a big way.
Speaking of multi tasking, what if you use 2 or 3 monitors, and have GW2 on one screen, Netflix or a movie playing on another screen, and say the GW2 wiki up as well. Would an i7 give a noticible improvement over an i5 in that situation?
Not trying to hijack the OP’s thread, but I’m looking at upgrading soon, and your comment got me thinking more about an i7.
It’s coming later…
On a more serious note, late/end game is really about cosmetics and achievements.
There’s no option to change a guild name, not sure why.
However, if Anet deems it offensive, it could be changed to a random name, or at the worst disbanded.

Mesmer is NOT the slowest class in the game. They can have perma swiftness too.
Is just harder/maybe inconvenient to have that compared to the other professions.
What perma swiftness?
Mantra of Recovery paired with Superior Runes of the Centaur, for the swiftness on heal bonus.
You had me at mace. I’ve been waiting for a chance to use The Moot on my Norn Thief.
Mace is fine.
It’s mostly about watching for the fire breath attack and side-stepping to a safe area. It’s also better than hammer since you can walk behind it’s tail to avoid the Wing/Knockback attack, as well as be in range for all the boon sharing.
Unlocking Glider Masteries should make it more responsive, aka appear sooner.
Not sure of a location like you are seeking. The center of Rata Sum is the best i can think of. Or this could solve your issue of ever needing to restock salvage kits:

Between the two, I’d suggest Centaur for more power, but have you considered traiting Acrobat IV?

20sec swiftness for every kill (5 sec ICD) is nice and easy to stack up 2 mins+ swiftness. It’s great for open world farming and you can use more useful runes.

If every open world PvE map shows 100 % (Southsun Cove, Dry Top, and Silverwastes not included), then yes, WvW maps are all you have left.
I can’t help but feel the need to act the old man. Back in my day playing EQ we had to drag each item out of our bag, none of this double clicking stuff. Want to make a stack of food, well you gotta take the bread, the lettuce, the tomato, and the meat and put them in the slots and click combine! Heaven forbid you put a stack in and it simply doesn’t recognize the recipe!
You left off the most important fact that your entire stack would be consumed by the crafting container, leaving you empty-handed.
Crafting is so much nicer now a days.
Yes, all three borderlands maps and the Eternal Battlegrounds map are all required.
I habitually use this in one dungeon – so my charr toon can complete the harpy fractal without major camera issues on the planks section. Happens every time without.
So now I’m likely going to fractal gear one of my human or asura chars, or find another tonic, that is usable in dungeons, that reduces my oversized, camera breaking charr to a “normal” size.
Perhaps ANet can fix their broken camera if using tonics isn’t acceptable. Or resize all charrs…
Seems an utterly ridiculous change to me. It’s not like it lasts very long.
Get the Ghostly Tonic from Ascalonian Catacombs. They drop often enough in the explorable paths and even then they are only 10 tokens each.
In regards to the watchknight tonic… Unless there was some sort of exploit this change is mind boggling….
I use the Endless Cat Tonic from the Laurel vendor on my Norn for the same purpose.
Edit: You can jump as a cat, and when you get one of the tiny kitten illusions, jumping puzzles are so easy.

As an extremely mmorpg lover and a rpg long time player, i absolutely recommend you buy this pack and play it.
Not to fill the HoM, as it will take you a bit of time and effort, but to enjoy the depth that this game lore has to offer.
I recommend you play the nightfall campaign first and move then to the eye of the north campaign so you can unlock heroes to help you crack the content.
You can read all about them here
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Hero
And get ready for some jaw breaking scenarios from a 2005 game and a awe rendering soundtrack by jeremy soule.
Hands down, the best rpg ever made.
edit: play it when gw2 server is down for maintenance
No, don’t play Nightfall first! They won’t understand anything! They’ll say “who is this Shiro and Lich” in the Realm of Torment.
I’ve started off in Factions, because: Assassin. Made it to 11 and about to head to EoTN. I’m having fun so far, and I’m glad others were able to take advantage of the sale. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to finish the campaigns.
This really bothers me. It’s like starting out GW2 with the “Join an Order” arc, then stopping half way through that arc and skipping right to Living World Season 1.
Nar, you shouldn’t let how people play the campaigns bother you so much. There have been numerous videos, walkthroughs, guides, and wikis out there for years now that spoil any story or surprises the game might present to the player.
I’ve personally watched WoodenPotatoes’ Let’s Play series in anticipation of GW2’S release, so I’m not missing out.

I’m definitely enjoying getting more lore and back story to make me appreciate what there is in GW2.
Also: GW Trilogy made it to 99/100 on the Top Sellers list on Steam this weekend. Interesting.
I’m posting this for anyone else that might be interested in working on their GW2 achievements, but never played the first game.
It’s on sale now on Steam through September 7th for half price.
Not Rytlock. Face and horns aren’t even close.
Ok, you have a point, Belzebu and no pun intended.

I wouldn’t mind legendary precursors, now that unlocked skins can always be reapplied.
This would also promote more of a horizontal progression, since the result would strictly be aesthetic.
Oh and Vol, the best part of your Liquidity pic, imo, is the Gnashblade Support Button
I’m just ashamed you caught me when I wasn’t rep’ing mine
Guild Invite, please and thanks!
The only thing I hate about SAB, is that I sometimes have to decide between it and finishing the dailies. It’s just too much fun!
While I’ve enjoyed everything about GW2 immensely, SAB was the first new content that made me want to drop cash in the gem store to support the game further.
