I had originally asked for help making some ascended armor ,but after some time has passed I’ve decided to for go that project. I’m glad that no one was able to help me with that request seeing as what I could really use is something far easier ,but currently still out of reach to me. A Identity Repair Kit ,and a Total Makeover Kit.

Two things that should be changed
1.) The Guardian still remains the only profession (arguably also the Revenant) who does not have a form of a permanent speed boost. When you released HoT ,an the elite specs. it was a huge influence to many professions in a good way going as far as to give one of two that did not have a permanent speed boost a minor trait that fixed that (Time Marches On for the Chronomancer). I see no reason why that can’t be done for the Guardian’s Elite spec turning one of its minor traits to a 25% speed boost ,and shifting what was in that spot as a add on to an existing major trait. You have in the past changed what traits do (one good example was when you removed the thief trait that allowed a pistol shot to ricochet). If changing the the traits is to much ,then what about turning the pact commander mastery that gives 33% speed boost in cities to a 25% speed everywhere (PvE ,PvP ,WvW ,and all instanced areas). Then no matter the class everyone who has that mastery can move at a decent clip. Overall the idea behind this one is to improve mobility which by far is a huge QoL importance IMO.
2.) Remove transmutation charges from the picture thus making changing your armor/weapons appearance free of charge. Once a character has all map completion only a few ways remain to acquire the charges. You either have to make a new character ,grind reward tracks ,or wait for that one day out of 30 that gives three. Oh wait or you can buy them from the gem store go figure. I think any intelligent player would have to agree that having a currency in general just to change your appearance is silly at best. So doing away with the concept all together would improve most players experience knowing that they can play with their look as they see fit without any hindrance.

I am looking forward to getting this outfit ,and the back/glider as well. Having said that though something needs to be done. As the OP said if you can’t fix the clipping ,then allow shoulders to be hidden on the outfit. If a hidden option is added though then I assume it will have to be done as a default for all outfits. That would be fine with me personally ,but if nothing else due this outfit please.

1.) Please change Human male Greastsword animations ,because running around like a flag bearer is weird looking. Not to mention while standing having to the side like that is not much better. You could just use another race/gender animation for it to make it easier work wise(preferably something similar to the female human for a stance ,and maybe an asura male running animation). Ideally it would be nice to have a choice on weapon stance/running animation for all races/genders. Maybe add a gem store item that is account bound ,and adds this feature to change your running/stances in the hero tab ,or a new tab added to banks.
2.) Make the gathering tool slots account bound so players can just leave the tools in those slots ,and all their characters will have access to them.
3.) Get rid of the Transmutation charges ,and make switching your appearance completely free. I’ve seen it done better(DCUO which is a crappy game ,but got at least this done right) ,and you’ve already improved the dye system ,and added the wardrobe. So why not finish making the fashion aspect of the game better.
4.) Finish making the rest of the crafting materials bankable in crafting storage.
5.) Put more items in the wallet that are used as currency so are bags are freed up more.
6.) Not supper important to me ,but I wouldn’t mind seeing some capes added to game. After all it’s 2016 shouldn’t be any reason a major game company would have a problem adding them in.

Issues with character art, weapons, or armor?

Race: Human
Sex: Male
Profession: Any that use a Greatsword
Weapon: Greatsword
Description: Please I beg of you to change at least the running animation for the greatsword. I’ve been playing since core game beta ,and it has always bothered me so thought it was time to mention it ,and hope you listen. Holding it up over his head like hes running with a flag is horrible looking. Most of the other races/genders have a better running/stance animation for the greatsword. Maybe have the stance like a norns ,and while running with it either keep it pointing backwards a the waist like Norn stance. Then again running with it like the Asura do would also be nice ,or some sort of one handed dragging it behind. All I ask is you look into this matter because I’ve checked ,and it seems I am not alone in thinking that human male animations are terrible. Mostly when it comes to Greatsword.

Chests of the Mists need to be retroactive

It’s the same WXP per level once you get past the first few levels. Flat 5,000 I believe.

Exactly -> wiki source

Sorry for not realizing that sooner guess its just how slow WvW has been going that has made it feel like it takes longer. Once everyone gets back into WvW I’m sure earning ranks will pick up. Unless your on a small server than nothing will change probably. Anyway thank you both for the reminder about wxp gain.

Sigz.6943

I’m sure not all will agree as is the way of the internet ,but I feel like I’m being a little punished for being a long time player. See my WvW rank is in the mid 800’s ,and it takes a lot to rank up when your high up. I can only imagine those who are even higher in rank ,and how bad it is for them. As stated in the topic title I think all ranks gained prior to the release of HoT should be credited a one time account based amount of Chests of the Mists. This way those who have been playing for awhile will be able to get some of the Proofs of Heroics that are easier to obtain when your rank is lower. Now I don’t know if this is doable ,or not I’ll leave that up to Anet if they happen across this. It’s not a super huge deal as I stated feeling a little punished ,but I feel it would be a good move on their part to do so given the current state people feel WvW is in. Which having mentioned that has only made ranking up that more a pain for some.

Still can't delete character

Sigz.6943

Same here I contacted them about not being able to delete a character ,and they responded by telling it is a known issue ,and to go to the forms to keep updated on it. I even asked them to delete the character for me ,but I guess they didn’t feel like it. It would be nice if they resolved the issue ,because not having access to a slot due to a mistake they haven’t fixed is a big let down.

Ascended Professions

Personally I have leveled 27-28 toons to 80 (I delete them unfortunately) due to boredom that hits me when I have been 80 with a toon for awhile. That’s just me ,but instead of ascended profession system we just need new races ,and professions out right. The game has added barely any real content to speak of considering the little new areas don’t have much in them ,and most content updates are more about adding cash shop items then anything. So in my opinion please give GW2 the same love the first one was given. The expansions gave new classes ,areas ,and tons of other stuff which GW2 needs on that scale.

Character Creation - new options

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Sigz.6943

Maybe what they could do is after a set period of time add the cash shop hairs , and faces. For example the first set once it’s been out for say 6 months it becomes a free part of character creation.
Or a one time fee for a permanent upgrade to your account that cost more than a one time use hair kit. It could be 1000 gems for a package , and they keep them separated based on when they came out. So multiple packages each costing 1000 gems each.

There should be no brawler class, there should be just thief gameplay improved around martial arts (acrobatics) by adding to them Stakitten and Claws/Fist Rings/Gloves.

Their Death Blossom is already currently the most martial artistic skill of the whole game. No other class has any moves that get into martial arts the like the thief does, so its 100% clear, that if any martial art skills should find their way into the game, then the thief should get improved with these mechanics, as the class originates already from the canthan assassins, which also already were all about martial arts in form of deadly arts ect.

If you seek out fo a brawler, play warrior and use its Rampage Elite, as it already basically turns the warrior into a brawler using fist fighting and kicks…

As I stated in response to another person already that if no brawler class was to be made that they should at least add fist weapons to the warrior, and thief classes(though I can tell your whole post is just you wanting your favorite class to get new stuff). On another note Rampage Elite is not the same as having an actual fist weapon. Also on the subject of Rampage which is a better example then death blossom if where going to use a classes skills as who is more set up for hand to hand combat. Lastly anything used as a fist weapon that has blades on it really defeats the purpose of adding it. Stick to brass knuckle/studded gloves(stuff like that) if your going to add.

New class should use fists.

If there’s a new class it’d likely use heavy armour though…

Also a weapon only 1 class can use… doubt it.

I have no problem having a brawler class using heavy armor since they’d be close range some good defense wouldn’t hurt. As for a weapon only one class would use I can see where your coming from on that though the Hammer is pretty close only guardian, and warrior use it. So why not add the Fist weapon to an existing class like the thief, and warrior as an alternative to making a new class if that would be to much work for them. Just make it a new weapon, and now more than one class is using it. Having said that though I would still prefer a brawler class.

New class should use fists.

Just my opinion, but since MOST weapons are covered in the other classes it just seems like a new class should be one that uses their fists. They would get gauntlets, or knuckle duster style weapons( nothing overly huge more form fitting weapons that way it doesn’t look goofy)maybe?. No claw based weapons that really isn’t the same. Have an option to hide the weapon so it won’t show(like hiding your helm). I personally would prefer them to use a brawler/street fighter style, but I guess blast attacks could be used for certain moves. Blast attacks would also help stylize the fighting, or just have energy trails coming off his physical hits instead of blast being shot that way you keep it as a close quarters class. As far as stats go something like a middle of the road/jack of all trades meaning no one stat would really stand out from the others only minor differences. Lastly another reason I thought this should be done is not much love is given to hand to hand combat when classes are made in games like MMOs.

It may not be a huge drain on the wallet ,but can anyone tell me what good it does to have the fee. Seriously if some knows a worth while reason to have a waypoint fee I’m all ears. Otherwise the fee serves no purpose ,and should be erased from the game.

GW2 Controller

DC Universe Online is not a totaly epic game ,but has a controller option so it should be possible. You still use the keyboard for stuff like typing ,and what not. Everything else is done with the controller ,and it worked. I don’t mind using a keyboard & mouse yet I do relax better being able to sit back with a controller. I don’t see this game getting controller support mostly due to the people who will hate on it for the sake of being hateful. If some how it happens fine I’ll give it a try. After all those who don’t like it don’t have to use it.

Please don't punish solo PvE players

Sigz.6943

So I play PvE mostly with a little WvW once in awhile(I party up sometimes). If you want to make it so solo players can do stuff ,and yet still have a challenge for groups why not just use a system like Borderlands(I’m sure other games have as well) the difficulty scales depending on how many players are present. Sorry if this was already mentioned I could not read any more of the kitten comments(you know who you are). Anyway if you use a system like that then people could solo dungeons ,and the like. Ofcourse if you solo a dungeon it will still be hard ,but it can be done I don’t want to make it to easy just possible. That should make everyone happy since nobody will be forced to party if you don’t have the time ,or don’t want to. My only personal problem with forced group events is time restraints meaning if you can’t spend all day playing ,but you would like to get some dungeon runs. Sometimes you spend more time trying to get a group organized then it takes to run the dungeon which sucks. So just make a difficulty scaling system for things ,and that would atleast help with some of the problem. As for PvP in the monthly just suck it up I don’t like PvP all that much I find it boring ,but it is part of the game ,and as such makes sense to be in the monthy.

If you could add one weapon to each class

Warrior- Great Axe(2h) I think this would be a great choice to give them a full 360 degree AOE set of moves.
Guardian- Polearm(2h) A few AOE spells ,and thrusting melee attacks
Engineer- Hammer(1h) Being able to dual weild ,and having some quick attacks
Ranger- Whip(2h)(being a tammer of animals it kind of fits) The reason for 2h is so the whip can shine. Having one or two localized AOE ,and some bleeding effect skills. Not to mention the speed of the weapon.
Thief- Bo Staff(2h) The possible speed ,and combo ability of such a weapon for this class would be ideal.
Necromancer- Scythe(2h) umm..yeah nothing needs to be said
Elementalist- Gaunlet/Knuckle Duster(1h) Ok I know they are not a warrior ,but with elemental magic it would look cool. Not only that it would give them a more versitile melee/ranged attack sets. On a side note who doesn’t want to falcon punch the risen.
Mesmer- Chakram(1h) Dual weilding would be cool. Mostly a ranged skill set with maybe two melee. I think this would be a neat addtion to this class.

Well considering the nightmare court has whips ,and I have seen an enemy who used his fist to fight (not to mention the elite skill for the warrior). I see no reason why those aren’t already in the game for use. As I mention in another topic everyone gets new weapons like Rangers/Necromancers get whips ,Engineers get a steam punk minigun ,Thiefs/Warriors/Gaurdians get knuckle dusters(something to that effect) Warriors/Gaurdians also get the already stated haliberd ,naginata ,and the like Necromancers get a Scythe (Duh!). As for the Mesmer ,and Elementalist nothing really came to mind maybe the Ele. also gets the knuckleduster like weapon (who doesn’t want to falcon punch the risen). Mesmer could get maybe the scythe also ,and do moves that tear into the fabric of reality (not sure). For me I have a few characters of different classes as I’m sure others also due ,but I would if nothing else like to see a whip for the Ranger. Probably should count as a 2h weapon reason being most well know characters from other games use it that way ,and then it could have use of all five weapon skill slots which would be nice. Knuckleduster like stuff for some other classes (Warrior ,Gaurdian ,Thief ,Elementalist)
Edit: just noticed someone made mention of orbs ,and spell books which does sound nice for the three mage classes as well.

New Weapon

I second this idea all the way this is exactly what is needed seeing as how most of the other weapons that are worth using are already in the game it just seems like the next step. Truly if any more weapons are to be added in this game then a whip is my first choice. you could even have just the Rangers ,and Necromancers be the ones which use it. then in which case also a pole arm for Warriors ,and Guardians. A set of brass knuckle(or gauntlet) like weapons for Thiefs ,and Engineers. Lastly for the Elementalist ,and Mesmer I was thinking of some type of giant throwing weapon dare I say like a shuriken. To be truthful though you could just give all classes a whip ,and try to diversify the ways they use it ,and I’m sure that would bring some pretty neat skill sets. oh it should probably be a two handed weapon just because a lot of off handed skills would not look right paired with a whip.
