Six minutes to knightfall after Patch

Hey everyone!
I would like to know if after the last patch, that modified the knights mechanic forcing people to split in 3 groups with a max of 50 people for each knight, anyone actually managed to kill the 3 knights under 6 min and get the achievement Six minutes to knightfall.
From my personal experience trying it, this achievement seems to be way too difficult at current state considering that:
- Knights have too much toughness, for example pre patch i could deal 8-9k damage with Unload while now i hit just for 2-3k with the same skill;
- People partecipanting could not have a proper build and/or gear for this kind of event.
I don’t want to start a complaint thread i just would know if this achievement is actually attainable with the current state of the game and if yes how exactly.
(The best that my server did was something like 12 min that is the double of the time required for the achievement).

Yes, I really like it as it is now. As others said i like this kind of lifetime achievement that lets me progress at my own pace, even if I play just 3 matches a day.

I wish anet add a pve wardrobe/skin unlocking for all items and not just festivities and meta-achievement ones. Btw this can be a good step in the right direction

I did this with 10/30/0/0/30 build with axe/mace and rifle (but i didn’t used it). Slot skills were Healing Signet, Defy Pain, Frenzy, For Great Justice and Signet of Rage. Full Berserker Equipment.
I just nuked the dog and knocked down both enemies with #5 mace skill, i just had to steal 1 piece of meat because the dog was already at low health at that point. When i killed the dog the norn was low health too because he took the same damage of the dog and i finished him.
If you need more time to kill the dog you can use rifle #2 and #5 to control him and gain time to steal the meat.
Try to boost yourself with power food and sharpening stone!
Weapon damage is really important so try to get your exotic weapons asap.

Hey! I followed the suggestion on this video and did it:
Boss: Subject 7
Gambits: Exhausted, On Fire, Frailty, Hamstrung, Crowd Favorite
Weapons: Greatsword and Axe/Mace
Slot Skills: Healing signet, For Great Justice, Frenzy, Defy Pain and Signet of Rage
Gear: Full berserker
Traits: 0/25/30/0/15 V, X // III, VIII, XI // VI
I bought power food and sharpening stone.
Tactic: Before start the combat use SoR and FGJ then use #4 and #5 with GS. Switch to Axe/Mace and use #5 to knockdown them and build adrenaline to use Eviscerate. (Your health should be dropped to 50% now, use Defy Pain) Switch again to GreatSword and use Frenzy and #2 (100b) now use GS#3. Now just finish him with 1 or 2 hit of GS.
I tried to do Humble Victor achievement with the same tactic but had no success. If someone could give any suggestion about boss choice, build and tactic it will be really appreciated

I am wondering to make a new set of armor for hardest pve content like high level fractals and Arah explorable mode. I am a bit confused, should i go for Knight or Valkyrie stats set (or even other)? In general, how much armor and hp should i have to be attuned to that content?

Btw it is true that rangers can adapt to any situation! Just press Esc → Log Out → Charater Select → Create New Character! XD
First of all i want to thank you Jon for the answers but I am a bit confused for the whole situation:
- Increased casting time of a spell to fix a graphic bug:
I think that could be a more viable way to fix a (never noticed, atleast for me) graphical bug without the risk to compromise the class balance.
- 40ms speed increase:
40ms are 0.04s, i do not think that people can notice the difference without any kind of supernatural power. So if people actually noticed it there is something wrong with this, especially when using Quickening Zephyr.
- 7% damage loss:
Increasing the casting time of the spell it was obvious that it may have caused a damage loss. I do not think that the devs behind the patch did not think about this, i want to refuse this idea with all my efforts!
- skill 1 “spamming” a problem:
This is the autoattack skill, how can you pretend that we do not use it that much? Except for the poison spray (skill 2) other skill are not designed for damage but for survivability. What should we do when skill 2 is on cooldown?
- weaken a skill does not encourage people to use more the others:
As said before, except for Poison Spray other skills are not designed to do damage, how could you think that weaken Crossfire without changing the other skills encourage us to use them more? This choice just discourage people to use that weapon.
With the second post it seems that you just threw the mask of the patch, its real purpose was make the Crossfire skill less effective.
I think there are major issues that deserve your attention like longbow, spirits and pets. I am still enjoying my ranger even after that patch using the shortbow but i think you should be more sincere with the community.
I know that there are many people that do not deserve your kindness because they are just able to pretend like you were their personal “fix-my-game” slave, but do not lose trust in the community for this.
I will hope you can fix this problem and make all rangers happy again.

Same problem here: i play pve with the shortbow and i really do not know which bonuses i should choose for my gear to maximize my dps.
From what i can read here, Berserker bonuses (power, precision and %crit) seems to be a better choice than Rampager’s ones (power, precision and condition damage).
Are Berserker bonuses so much better than rampager’s ones? What do you think about it?

Like others said before me:
Dungeon looking for group tool (while implementing this, a worldwide looking for group channel could save time and does not force you to stand in Lion’s Arch spamming)
Waypoint travel should be free: travel in Guild Wars 1 is free and this is great, why here that should be different? The cost in my opinion is a great limit to the game experience. For example, suppose that i am in a place and a guild member says that there is a major event on the other side of the world in a lesser than 80 level zone. I know that will reward me with lesser money respect the much that i have to spend to travel to there, why should i lose money just because i want to help or simply because i like play events?
Ascalon Catacombs and Crucible of Eternity explorable mode today.
1st path of AC, reward: 30 tokens (first time that i took this path ever, i get the achievement correctly) duration: less than 45 min
2nd path of AC, reward: 15 tokens (last time i took this path was about 48h ago) duration: less than 45 min
2nd path of CoE, reward: 6 tokens (last time i took this path was about 48h ago) duration: 1 h 30 min
In all the three dungeons other party members received 60 tokens except for 2 party members at Coe that were bugged and received 15 tokens and 20 tokens

Same problem here. I did Crucible of Eternity yesterday and i received 30 tokens instead of 60, i finished Twilight Arbor few mins ago and i received again 30 tokens instead of 60 like other party members and it was the first time that i did that paths.
