Love the idea and am really looking forward to trying it out.
Any chance we could get a preview of the WvW Gliding Trait line so we know ahead of time what spending points in the line will get us. For example Updrafts, leylines, etc,
This would be useful for holding those items that we collect incessantly with no clear goal in mind (Blade Shards).
Blade shards are going into mat storage in near future as are many other similar items. Read the original post
I love the list as is and can’t wait for the changes to go live.
As someone that has already maxed there mats storage I would like to suggest to the Devs that when this change goes live you consider selling Mat storage increases beyond the current 2000 limit.
I for one can never get enough storage space and would happily pay to increase it further to show my appreciation for this mammoth and long overdue change to mats storage.
Thank you and keep up the great work. I hope the key chain we’ve been asking for is the next QoL improvement to come down the pipeline after this mat storage change. Once again take my money, I’m happy to pay for the convenience of a keychain as I already have the max shared inv slots available and still need more room for fit everything I try to share with all my chars..
My hope is that someday they give us either an eater or converter to use all our extra luck on. I leave the choice to them but hopefully someday they listen as every day more and more people reach the cap and all the luck is wasted.
The answer to this question was already answered when HoT came out they charged all core game owners the exact same price as new users. The only difference is Existing owners got an extra character slot after much complaining by the player base. I would expect the next expansion to be the same minus the character slot as I doubt we will get any new base professions, most likely just new elite specs.
Haven’t seen a single ascended drop in wvw and spent many, many hours out there in last 3 days.
Agreed, I just wish they were functional as in the example of the oakheart essences from Draconis Mons. I would love to run around playing rockem sockem robot in the guild hall or ballista a guild mate off a bridge as they cross it. There is so much fun to be had, what a missed opportunity.
And probably another 50g to open up a Dry Top PvP reward track, so I can get geodes and never go to that zone again.
Dry Top already has a reward track. It’s called the Maguuma Wastes Reward track and the track rewards you with 2,650 Pile of Silky Sand and 300 Geodes according to wiki.
As the subject states I recently capped my Magic find, I know many others have done this as well. I’ve looked through the wiki to try and figure out what to do with all my luck now that it’s capped and realized that there are very few things to spend it on.
I was hoping that Anet would give us some sort of current event or achievement collection that after completion would give us an item that eats the luck on a daily basis and gives loot back like the sentient anomaly or a converter that allowed us to use the magic and convert to some other currency like karma as an example.
It just feels like such a waste to throw away all these essences of luck. Seems like the only time it will ever be useful is during the lunar new year festival when it can be turned in for decorations, but there’s no way I can pile up all that luck and just hold it for a once a year festival.
What do other people who have maxed there magic find do with all there unused luck?
Personally I hope that another set of legendary armor gets released at some point not tied to raids. But on the AMA ArenaNet did on reddit after the latest Living story release this statement was made by an Anet employee. So I’d say are chances are slim to none for the foreseeable future.
PaulElla
There are no plans to release another set of legendary armour in the future. They think one set is sufficient.
Love this idea.
I’m having the same issue it’s almost like it thinks you are inactive for to long in a pvp match and it kicks you for it to the character select screen. Only way I’ve gotten around it and it doesn’t always work is to keep hitting my movement keys in cutscene to trick it into thinking I’m moving or doing something. It works most of the time, but still really annoying it’s done to me many times in HoT story as well as core game.
Actually I just went back to the character I grabbed it on an hour ago and noticed the countdown was where I left it an hour ago, so now it seems more likely that it’s just disappearing at reset each night. I can’t be certain as I’m not in-game at that time usually but regardless it is disappearing each morning I log back in somehow if someone from Anet can please look into it.
I’ve noticed that the 24 hour guild buff has either been changed to real time 24 hour buff or is bugged I assume since there was no mention in the patch notes of this that maybe it was a bug.
This is really annoying as I play/farm on 20 chars and I know many people who use even more character then I, and running all of them daily to the guild hall to get the buff adds quite a bit of time.
If this change was made intentionally can I suggest adding the buff to the guild panel so people can grab from there anywhere in the world. If it is a bug can you please look into putting it back to the old system that food and util. items work on which is the clock only counts down while the character is in use.
One related side note when this change happened my characters started losing skills randomly from the heal/util slots between uses of the character. For example all of my guardians normally have Fragments of Faith on there bar when I log out of using them and for the last 2 days in a row when I log back in the slot the skill it’s normally in is empty. I’ve seen it happen on other professions as well such as necro with rise skill or ranger with we heal as one skill.
I’ve tried 5 different characters and I can’t log in to any of them keep getting “Network error”
I’ve shut down the game and restarted and even restarted my computer. nothing seems to help.
ok thank you !!!!!!!
Love the new fractal but have 1 issue with it. In order to complete this new achievement we are required to kill the 4 champion K1T-D golems. I personally have done the fractal 4 times, 1 time in each of the 4 tiers(Adept, expert etc..) I have also spoken with other friends and guild mates as well as random pugs and the consensus we have all discovered is that only 1 of the champions DOC K1T-D ever appears during the fight with the Chaos Anomaly in the fractal. Can the developers please look into this issue at your earliest convenience.
I have a suggestion why not give us researchable crafting benches for our guild halls? That way it will still be convenient once researched and give us another use/reason to go to the guild halls. It would also be another gold/material sink for Anet since researching it like everything else guild hall related has been so expensive to this point. I think this is something that most people in a guild would be happy to help out building just for the convenience factor alone.
I figured it out. But in case anyone else runs into this trouble as well in the future if u have the Dreamer I collection open at the same time it will conflict with the task that you need to read a book in the durmond priory special collections area. Once you find and read the book then Ogden will talk to you and complete the flameseeker prophecies task normally.
I’m working on the third collection for the Legendary Weapon The Flameseeker Prophecies. I’m on the step that it tells you to bring an Anthology of Heroes to talk to Ogden in the Durmond Priory. I have an Anthology of Heroes in my character’s inventory and I find Ogden in Gixx’s office of the Durmond Priory, but when I talk to him he only gives me 2 choices. Either I need to do some research in the special collections or Never Mind. I have tried both choices multiple times and it never fills in this step of the Legendary weapon collection. I think there is something bugged with this collection step. I’ve looked it up on wiki and the only know bug is if you have quartz in your inventory it may not work but I have done on multiple characters and checked and none have any quartz on them at the time. So i’m stuck now. Any one else having this issue working on this collection? I’ve sent in a ticket to Anet already but I don’t expect a reply for a few days at least. So hoping someone here may have a work around.
Agreed. I would take it 1 step further also for convenience sake it would be nice if all boosters also were on hero panel or guild panel. I keep changing my guild hall boost on characters depending on what I’m doing in the game and it would be nice to change the guild hall booster from the guild window anytime from wherever I am at the time without having to constantly map to the guild hall.
I think you are over thinking this. The reality is there really is no relation other then Anet wants the guild to work together to make the upgrade and they want you to play all the different game types. Your reward for doing so is you get a discount on your wp costs. Simple as that, not all upgrades tie in to the items needed to make them. It would be great if they did.
I completely agree the penalty box mechanic needs to go or at the very least be changed so that there is a timer on and people can get back in the fight after a certain amount of time or after a phase of the fight completes.
As for Mordremoth being invulnerable after the rift have you tried breaking his bar? It’s been a while since I did the fight but I believe he is only invulnerable until you break his bar. After you break it you can dps him down for a short period. Then you use the rift again, break his bar again and dps, rinse and repeat until dead.
Now if you are trying to solo this it could be rough having enough cc’s to fully break his bar but I have seen it done when I was up in the penalty box and watched a friend do it.
I just got a response to my ticket and the GM I spoke with, saw that the cow pies are indeed missing. They filed a bug report and the developers will start working on a fix. So fingers crossed the issue should be resolved sometime in the near future.
I’m also glad that I’m not the only one having this issue. I did send in a ticket and the response I got was…
“Thanks for contacting us. Cow pies are available at any point in time in those 2 locations. It’s part of the difficulty of the game to locate them. Hope this clears things up.Regards,

I thought I had to just keep looking, but after two days of non-stop looking I figured something was up. Hopefully they fix it soon.
This reply u got back doesn’t actually make it sound like they believe any of us that they have been removed from the game so if anything. this concerns me more that they aren’t even looking it.
I sent in a ticket 3 days ago so far nothing but an automated response. It would be great if someone replied just to say they are working on it. Sorry that others are effected as well but in a way it’s good to know I’m not alone.
I am working on the Kudzu vol 3 collection and cow pies are not showing up in the areas of the game that wiki shows they should be available. Queensdale and Diessa Plateau both have none I’ve walked around every area in both zones that have cows and there are no cow pies showing up anywhere. I had a few friends check as well and the areas that used to be full of them all over the ground are now clear. I noticed that a new patch came out a few days ago and the description of the patch is
Update – May 23, 2016
Bug Fix
Fixed a bug with the vendor value of Cow Pies.
Guild Wars 2 Wiki Notes
Build: 62,081
I think something in this patch removed them from the game completely. This is the last item I need to get in order to continue and finish off this legendary weapon. Seems kind of ridiculous that a pile of crap not being in the game would stop me from getting a legendary weapon.
I logged a ticket a couple of days ago and other then the automated response I’ve heard nothing back on this issue. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.
This is the in-game collection tip for this step. Hint: Find a cow pie in Queensdale or Diessa Plateau and use it to fertilize your hidden garden in Mount Maelstrom.
We are both doing daily’s today, a new player gets 2g and 10 ap, a capped vet player gets 2g for doing the same work. How is that the same?
Personally I don’t understand the need for a cap. People that have been loyally playing the game for nearly 4 years should get the same rewards that a new player gets. After all they have achievement chests already setup for thousands of points higher then the highest player in the game has reached, so why not let everyone work towards them instead on penalizing loyal daily players.
If you are invisible guild chat won’t work. Even when you go back to online it still won’t work. The only fix I’ve found is to make sure after going online from invisible is to log out of the game and back in and that fixes it for me. Not sure if this is the cause of your issue but thought I’d mention just in case.
I just started the 3’rd collection for Kudzu today and went looking for the cow pies needed to fertilize my garden. Low and behold that the patch appears to have removed them from the game. I asked 4 of my guild mates to scout around to all the farms where cows are located in Queensdale and Diessa Plateau as shown on wiki and none of us could find a single one on the ground. Tried using cattle prods to jolt some loose from whatever cows I could find. Killed around 40 to see if it would drop from there corpse, even tried seeing if it was something I could buy from the heart npc’s. It seems my legendary Journey is halted all because I can’t find some literal crap in the game
I sent in a ticket earlier today, but so far no reply.
Anyone else stuck on this collection since the patch yesterday?
Same problem for me. Sent in a ticket to Anet. Nothing I’ve tried seems to be fixing the issue.
Is there a specific time of the hour? Say half past, Quarter past etc?
This week my guild got the Oasis Collection 3 for a wvw challenge. We hung out in wvw for approx an hour and never saw the event spawn. Is there some timer as to when the event starts or a way to trigger it for guild missions.
I looked on wiki and it says" This meta event occurs every 3 hours in each Desert Borderlands map."
I mean it seems kind of silly to give a guild mission that there is no way to activate and just do it. But maybe I’m missing something as we don’t do a huge amount of WvW with our guild.
oops nvm I just didn’t watch the stream far enough
I was watching the twitch stream from last week and had a question as to what happens when you use the eraser tool on a decoration?
The idea of creating a guild hall jumping puzzle intrigues me, but I’m a bit concerned that every time I erase one or more decorations I need to buy more of them or do the erased decorations go back into your inventory to be reused?
Thank You! I appreciate the quick response.
Does anyone have a link to today’s a vid from today’s broadcast. I wasn’t available to watch it live and when I go to twitch previous broadcasts, the video stream only lasts 1 minute after the intro countdown goes off the screen. I know dulfy has notes from the stream but wanted to watch it myself if possible.
I hope they do give up ascended item boxes for this beta… It would be nice for once to use gear that doesn’t have any cele stats on them
What do you mean for once? Yes the character starts with celestial stat gear but for the last 2 beta weekends they have given us boxes in our inventory. When you open them, they gave you a full set of armor and weapons with selectable stats. We were able to choose pretty much any stat combination in the game so far (zerk, knight, rabid, etc.)
Just a quick question about the part of the broadcast about the treasury. Will the treasury stop people from donating extras of a certain type of material once the maximum amount is reached?
For example in one of the photos shown in a previous stream it showed 500 10 slot iron boxes as part of the upgrade for an NPC in the guild hall.
So once the 500 total has been donated will it stop other people from donating more?
Reason I ask is you mentioned in yesterday’s broadcast that once mats were donated they could only be removed by making the upgrade. So my concern is that if the system doesn’t stop extras from being donated, there is the potential for lots of mats to just be stuck in the treasury for ever and not get used or any way to withdraw them.
Any one else getting random Black Screen crashes randomly through out the game? Since Tuesdays patch went live I’ve had 3 of them.
The first 2 yesterday both in AC dungeon and today I was just standing in Brisban Wildlands waiting for guild mates to run there so we could start living story season 2 part 1 instance. At the time I was just standing there with no foes around .
I’ve also experienced them in the activities of the game like Southsun Survival, Crab Toss, etc.
I’ve tried the -repair command line option to see if there were any corrupted files that needed fixing in the game and made sure all drivers (video, audio, etc) are up to date. Also made sure there were no windows updates that needed to be put in.
Every time I get this crash it locks up the computer fully, I can’t use any keys on the keyboard Control Alt Delete, Alt Tab, Num Lock, Caps Lock, Etc. I have to do a hard reboot (Hold down power button for 5 seconds to shut down, then power back on) which I hate doing because I’m afraid the more it happens I may damage something on the computer.
I sent a ticket in just a short time ago but figured I’d check here and see if anyone else was having similar issues while I’m waiting for a response.
I understand there are HOT masteries and core masteries but why limit us to where we get exp for them. They are all GW2 masteries and therefore why not allow us to play how we want to level them up? I mean Exp is exp regardless of where we play in the game.
I know that the beta is only a tiny little section of what will be the full expansion, but still if someone wants to run a dungeon they are still in the game so why not count that exp towards whatever mastery they are training in at the time.
IMO pigeon holing us into region specific content that requires potentially millions if not billions of exp to level them all up is ridiculous.
I’m curious if the way that mastery training works in the betas will carry over to the final release. While I know the game is still being iterated and refined for release, I really hope that masteries will be able to be trained anywhere in the game.
In BWE1 I honestly got bored playing in the small area of verdant brink after about 2 hours and my guild and I decided to go run some dungeons to try out the new specializations using core game content. We were really disappointed to find that none of the exp we got doing that carried over to mastery training. Now I see this line in the BWE2 blog post “Train your Masteries in the jungle region as you play through the story and event content available in Verdant Brink.” So I can only assume that the same will happen in BWE2.
I’m hoping that you are just doing this for the betas and won’t carry it over once the expansion is released. Otherwise this really goes against your own manifesto of playing the game how you want, by forcing us into this small area to train millions upon millions of exp to level up all the masteries.
Keep up the great work ANET, I love the game it’s just this one issue that bugs me and hope that it won’t stay this way and is only a beta issue.
Thank you, really appreciate the response!
I was interested in setting up this option of authentication and wanted to know if it would work with a landline if I picked the “Voice” option.
I have used 2 step authentication in the past with voice option for other websites and they work fine with a landline, since it usually just has a computer saying a code to you over your phone, but I was concerned that it may not work with your system since you so specifically put “Enter your mobile number that supports SMS to secure your account.” on the setup screen.
Would this really not work with a landline using the voice option? And no I don’t have a cell phone before anyone asks. I don’t want to try it and then get locked out of my account if it doesn’t work.
As someone that has maxed out all crafting profession, I’ve always been a bit frustrated that I can’t sell my Ascended gear on the Trading Post and make some money back that it cost me to get them all up to lvl 500 in the first place.
Plus many of my guild mates are newer to the game and with the current cost of mats I would like very much to be able to help them out and craft there gear for them.
It really has never made sense to me that Ascended gear was account bound on aquire/creation. The argument that it cost karma/laurels, etc. to make them is valid but if we can sell legendaries on the TP that aren’t used by a character, then why doesn’t that same logic carry over to Ascended gear. As long as the gear isn’t equipped let it be sold.
As people have said before they would be willing to spend money on buying it, so why not give those of us that want to make it for them, the ability to help them out.
Seems like a win-win for everyone. ANet gets a gold sink from every trading post sale, the sellers make back some or all of what they spent on leveling up there crafting and the buyers get what they want without the annoyance of doing the crafting they hate.
Pretty sure they already answered this in the blog post unless I’m misunderstanding the question but here is the quote that I think covers it.
“Additionally, we’ve simplified the current system of daily reward chests into a system of new daily fractal achievements that have been separated into three distinct difficulty ranges: 1–20, 21–50, and 51 and above. Completing these dailies will give players a chance at the fractal weapon skins, ascended equipment, infused rings, and more.”

You are not alone I sent a ticket in Sunday about this and still waiting on a response.
