Sadly location plays the biggest role in this situation. I have tried many proxy services and its a hit and a miss.

However, I am using a very reliable VPN service now and it seems to have done the trick. You guys can give it a shot, I believe its free for 3 days to try out.

It is not just modern tech, I used to have the 580 GTX with Intel 990x when it launched and it was still a nightmare in WvW

I have tried to reason with these thoughts but it just does not add up.

You would think that they would have already started on maybe a newer DX and optimizing some of the code in that old engine. I mean come on!!! =(

Why is that the CPU load just like the rest of the games sits at around 40-50% and GPU runs pretty normal usually full load, I am still getting lower than 60 FPS in in normal zerg situations in T2. This is with AA off, player count to medium and player quality to medium, shadow quality none and Reflection off.

What is it about this game that just requires soo much more vs any other game(literally any other game). I mean there has got to be something in the works for HoT or is that a failed dream of mine?

I love the hell out of this game but it is quite irritating.

Is it just dx 9?

Any dev?

Fixed, did not even see the screenshot keybind the first time I looked in options.

So, I just noticed while trying to take screenshots that it was not in my documents folder. So I added one manually still no go.

Is there anything I can do other than run a -repair on the client?

G+ community, not much but let it begin!

Amazing group of people in FA with amazing attitudes. Been here since Q4 2013 and I can honestly say it was great advice given to us in PVP by a friend to make the move to FA.

Servers, no matter which tier or position you are in have issues and FA comes with its own just like the rest, however one thing you might notice is that the occurrence of these scenarios are really minute.

One thing I recommend (and this goes for really any situation where transferring is involved) is that you check out the environment, send an officer or the guild lead come check us out. See what FA has to offer you before you come to the conclusion based on assumptions.

We are looking for OCX (ain’t everyone? LOL), it is a given that you will have an amazing time during this timezone especially in T2, where you will see action through out the day!

So I cannot convince you to move with just words, hell I don’t think anyone can really the end decision is still up to you. All I say is, before you make a final say ,come spend a few days in bed with us. =)

Been on FA for a bit now and I must say out of my whole GW2 exp, that is like 8 server changes later lol, I have found a server I can truly call home.

The folks on FA are some of the best players! and great people to work with.

- Set one of the 3 colors to each server everyweek. (Randomize it if you like)
- Connect all 4 maps and map it one massive map also adding more real estate if possible.
- NA ( 24 servers split into 2 Tiers with 12 server each and those 2 Tiers broken down into 2 instances each with 6 servers on each )
- EU ( Haven’t quite figured that one yet ) Because one set of servers will be left out.

I think someone might have mentioned this, but here are my few cents.

Pre-Req – Commander Tag w/players in squad(Requires increase of squad size) = certain number depending on population of map for player’s server. (this can also be tweaked so that if squad(of course w/increased limit) has 25+ or 40 players in it, the commander can destroy siege)

1. Cast a vote to destroy siege (map wide)(Could also try to see if multiple siege items can be selected for the vote).
2. Cast a vote to report user placing siege map wide.
3. Have a right click menu option on the siege to select the to options listed above.
4. If you cannot increase the size of a squad add a system to where squads can be linked via a commander agreement of some sort. This can also allow you to see 2 commander tags (might be good in bigger/higher tier battles).

Of course more can be added or maybe this might be a horrible idea, who knows =P

The problem with this is that we haven’t seen any new weapons, classes, races or significant changes to game play. We have also seen very few new skills/traits since release.

Compare that to GW1 which had massive expansions in the first two years with new weapons, classes, skills, etc. I am not saying we need to see DLC every other month but one expansion every year or two with truly new content would breath new life into GW2.

If you remember for those 2 years we had gotten absolutely nothing. You have to pick and choose your battles with this type of stuff .

Just to update here, it was the video card that was causing the power issue. However I must add that this error after so much research is a shot in the kitten dark because you have to check almost all the components besides the prephs

Or something close to it. Maybe it can happen? Even if there is a limited color selection, just so icons are visible. I think it can be a pretty successful idea only if it won’t tax the system in place already.

Hi, I am posting this for a friend of mine as I have been working with her on this issue for the past 3 weeks.

So here is the issue.

Event 41 in error logs show power failures (or so I would like to think after googling this for a while now) and this is very consistent.

So the steps we took.

Replaced the PSU/Mobo and now going to try to replace a new video card also but we ran it with the intel graphics that also seems to break it. Re installed windows also.

Just trying to figure out if someone here can help with situation and I am about to submit the reports here soon after I run the tests on her PC.

Edit:- This has nothing to do with any of the patches, from my understanding it started to happen randomly sometime 2 months ago.

In my experience, if you don’t like the food or service at a restaurant and after numerous complaints to the owners, nothing changes, you stop going there.

What you don’t do is set up across the street from them on a folding chair with a bullhorn telling the arriving customers that the service and food stink and would be so much better if the owners just listen to you. If the place is still in business and they still get an decent clientele of regulars, where is your proof that what the owners are doing is wrong? Seems to be working out for them. Parking lot is always full and people seem to be enjoying themselves as they leave after their meal, only to return again several times during the month or even week.

I know. You all wanted something different. Something closer to what you had with the first game. It’s been over a year and a half since it went live. It doesn’t look as if your comments and complaints are making any headway. So when do you give up and move on, or move back since Guild Wars is still running? When do you stop jousting windmills?

So accept what good you can find in the game now, and by some of the posts it seems very little, or look for something better. I never understood how people can stay in abusive relationships and I’m seeing some of the same signs here. We’ll give ArenaNet another chance to see if Living Story 2 is any better. Maybe it’ll be different this time.

Honestly I think there’s a calling for therapists who specialize in getting people to leave MMOs they no longer like but can’t leave for some reason.

Caedmon, they mouse not bad at all for FPS gaming, however there is an issue if you happen to pick up one of the older models of this mouse, it lags bad in most of the games. But good ol logitech will get you a new mouse if you get that issue.

Hey so thanks Dodgy, I been doing that or at least trying it. Do you know if I can set it up to auto switch when the game launches or do I have to manually set it each time I get in and out of the game, because that has been my exp.

Hey Fade thanks for that link, however, that program also shows windows default sensitivity which is set to 1 and DPI of the mouse (Logitech G600) to 8200.
