I now have a level 80 character with full Exotic weapons and armor. I obtained this by purchasing them through the tp with gold. I’m now looking at the next step in obtaining ascended trinkets and back item, and was wondering if experts know of the best way to obtain this stuff.
I have 25 laurels, about 250k karma, around 500 badges of honor (the things you get in WvW), and about 100 COF tickets. I only have 3 gold at the moment, due to using it to by all my exotic gear.
Also, one more question. If all that karma, badges of honor, and COF tickets are useless now that I have exotic armor, is there a way to get stuff to turn them into gold for a profit? Or really anything a value to purchase with them.

It is pretty crazy, but that’s not necessarily the fault of those playing — it’s the fact that beating him relies so heavily on RNG that even perfect use of an excellent strategy can result in a long string of losses. It works both ways, though — my first character took hours and hours to beat Adnul, but my second character roflstomped him on the first try.

I got his after about 20 minutes of trying it. This is what I did.
Chose your special skill as the one that you take less health for drinking (I forgot the name).
If you can bluff…bluff. No exception. Only time you shouldn’t bluff, is when his ability is up. Once his ability is up for the first time, belch, then drink water. Drink when your forced too only. If you know your going to have to drink twice in a row, activate your special ability first. Order should be;
Bluff
Belch
Water
Drink

I always make sure to sit at the finish line, and let 3 other people go by, but that’s just me. I don’t think anyone should be forced to, and I also don’t believe that people should expect it. I just do it simply because I want to. I took 1st place the 6th time I tried the race. So I have to do the race 19 more times for the achievement. I only started sitting at the finish line when I noticed I was coming in 1st quite frequently, and the award you get for 4th place, isn’t that much different then 1st place. I seem to be pretty exceptional at this mini game, which is a shocker, because I’ve struggled with all the other ones. I guess because I struggled with crab toss for so long, is the main reason I sit at the finish line.

WvWers are mad at PvEers for taking up queue spots. PvEers are mad at WvWers for camping the JP and not letting them complete it. This is awesome, lol.
Really we all should just be pointing the finger at Anet for putting both parties in this position in the first place.

I heard what he said. I just completely disagree with it, what more do you want me to say? I think people are purposely trying to prevent PvEers from getting the achievement. I’ve stated my reasons for thinking this. I think most people agree with that assumption as well, and are just a little to hard-headed to admit it. If this was truly about WvW, then they would be contributing to the overall success of there server, instead of camping a JP…
Sorry if I come across as “having an aneurysm” that was not intended. In fact, I’m pretty calm. And like I’ve said before, I have the achievement, got it last night. This isn’t me being upset I can’t get the achievement, I already have it. This is me wanting people to admit that they are not simply “playing how they always play.” A ten year old could see through that paper-thin argument. People are purposely going into this JP to cause other players grief, and make it difficult for them to attain something. That is all.
This JP is DEAD when there is no achievement attached to it.
That’s not true unless you’re on some PvE or low WvW population server. Yes, the JP has been seeing more action, but it was never “DEAD”. There are guilds that have spent the majority of their time in the JP, killing dudes and looking for fights, this is not something new.
You want an achievement but either you, your server, or your guild don’t have the means to get it. I guess you don’t deserve it after all.
I completely disagree with you. To me, the amount of people just sitting around purposely preventing people from completing this achievement proves that they are not just simply playing WvW, they have an agenda. And I also disagree with you that this place is not dead when there is no achievement attached to it, considering I’ve seen it. If you want to try and prove a point that these people are not simply being kitten bags, preventing other people for getting an achievement, that’s your deal, but I’m a firm believer that actions speak louder then words. And actions are speaking mighty loudly right now, in game, and in these forums.
I also hate to kitten in your cornflakes this morning, but I have already completed this achievement. I made a form post in here last night rallying my server, which seemed quite effective and we squashed Jade Query out of there, and I was able to complete it.
So my advice to anyone having issues is this. Make a post right here on these very forums trying to rally your server together, to take over the jumping puzzle. It seemed to have worked for me.

I’m totally going to do WvW. But only after I have full exotics, and ascended items. I want to be completely up to par. I’m still pretty new, give me some time, lol.

Let me just comment on one simple thing to all the “this is wvw, if you don’t like it, get out.”
This JP is DEAD when there is no achievement attached to it. No body is in here. Why? Because WvWers are doing what they are SUPPOSE to be doing, gaining territory in the ACTUAL WvW objectives, and bettering there server. Your not bettering your server but sitting in a JP preventing PvEers from getting an achievement, your just getting your kicks and giggles. So stop with the BS excuse that this is how it’s suppose to be.
Admit it, the only reason you kitten bags are here is to prevent PvEers from getting the achievement. That’s it. This isn’t rocket science. Your here to greif, otherwise, you’d be out in the actual WvW map helping your server gain territory.
Your friendly PvE players are getting crushed in the jump puzzle, because we are allowing the other servers to run the area. Join me! Let us take back our honor, and our dignity, by not allowing them to control the area like this with such an iron fist. It’s sad because during Pirates, no one was really attacking each other, but this is not the case now.
FIGHT FOR YOU SERVER! DON’T LET THE OTHER SERVERS CONTROL AND MAKE FODDER OUT OF YOUR PVE BRETHREN!

So last night I turned level 80 (for the first time in the game)! I only had 4 gold, so I couldn’t go crazy, but in honor of it I bought all level 80 green armor, weapons, and jewelry.
Now I eventually want to get all orange equipment, weapons, and jewelry, but from what I can tell that just takes gold to buy them, or just running dungeons. The whole game I’ve just been selling Rare items, and salvaging green, blue, and white. I don’t really know much about the game, I’ve just really exploring the world, so I’m not quite sure what I should be saving or what items I should be trying to get.
So I guess that’s the question I want to ask. I know I hear a lot of people say that they save there yellow items, but I’m not sure why, or what the purpose is. Can anyone just give me some tips now that I have a level 80, on what I should be doing (mainly to try and gain exotic equipment), or what I should be keeping or trying to get in terms of items in the game?

Just got disconnected from the game AFTER placing my bet. This is unacceptable. It’s no secret they have been having issues ON THERE END with users getting disconnected. Submitted a support ticket for a refund, and I better see it. This is complete horse kitten.
It’s no secret that people have been having connectivity issues with Guild Wars 2 for the last few months. And while it has been quite the annoyance, it has never costed me in-game money before. With the new Moa betting mini-game, and the achievement that goes along with it, NO IT HAS! Betting 50s, just to be disconnected due to connectivity issues on ANET’s end, is not acceptable. I’ve already submitted a ticket demanding a refund. This is ridiculous. I have no had any other issues with an other game, including other MMOs, and have not had any issues with my connection. This is most definitely on YOUR END. I will be posting back when I hear from the support team, and I sincerely hope you make this right by providing me with a 50s refund. Thank you.
I hope they don’t nerf the Mesmer, it’s the only class I’ve been able to get into.
When I first got the game, I started a Thief, got to like level 22, and just lost interest. Then I started a Warrior, got to like level 30. It was by far the easiest class, but god awfully boring. Then I started an Engineer and Ranger. Ranger only made it to 16. Engineer was fun for the atheistic, but I died a lot, and my account eventually got hacked, and the character was deleted. Started a Mesmer, and now I’m level 61, and STILL having a blast. It’s not as easy as the Warrior or Ranger, but it’s the funnest class I’ve played.
Don’t nerf my Mesmer!

Hey everyone.
I’ve heard on the forums that when Mesmers turn 40, the real fun begins. Well the thing is… I’ve been having a blast this whole time! I’ve died less then all my other characters leveling, and had WAY more fun. So needless to say, if 40 is when things are suppose to get easier, and I’ve already had an easy time, this should be awesome.
I don’t really play much, the highest level person I’ve had was 33 (until my newly found level 37 Mesmer), so I don’t know how about what to do. I should be turning 40 when I get home today, and was just looking for some advice on what to do, and what makes 40 so awesome for Mesmers.

This is actually the first MMO I’ve really played, besides Final Fantasy XI, and that was only for a few months.
I guess one feature I thought was cool in Final Fantasy XI, was that I could switch my character’s class (or job). So I could have one character that was a level 10 Red Mage, switch that same character to a Warrior, and level the Warrior job stating at level 1. All on the same character. That was pretty niffty.
I’ve already got the one for entering the crab arena. I got all 11 samples, and the lava dive, and skinny dipping ones. I swear I have all the ones I can possibly get except the omlette, which I’m not able to get. Thanks for the responses though. I’ll go over the guide, and see if I’m missing something.
I just have a quick question.
I’ve done all the achievements I can possibly do, outside of the omelette (because I’m only level 33, and don’t have another character), and the crab mini game achievements (besides the one for just playing one game, because I’m no good at it). I’m still stuck at 24/25 achievements. Is there any possible way to get the last achievement without having to play the crab mini game? Because there doesn’t seem to be, unless I’m missing something.
